"mama!" fran called out as she walked downstairs into the kitchen. rubi was doing her homework at the counter as fernando and y/n cooked dinner- some seafood dish that smelled absolutely amazing. fran plopped herself down on the seat next to her younger sister and watched her parents. fernando turned to her from the stove and raised an eyebrow, "hm mami?" he asked her. the oldest daughter rolled her eyes, "papa, i wasn't talking to you" she sighed, fernando grinned, shaking his head, "mama and i are basically the same" he chimed, turning back to the stove, y/n chuckled and turned to fran "yes, mija?" she asked, smiling at her eldest, she was such an angel. fran pulled out her phone and showed her mother the tweet. y/n frowned, "no posts from mrs. alonso?" she read out, raising her eyebrow, "posts from what? why are they getting weaker? do you know this person?"

francesca sighed, "mama they want you to post on your instagram, thats what they mean."

y/n's eyebrows furrowed together in confusion, "hmph, i didn't know people were waiting on me to post... fernando, did you know this?" fernando frowned himself, turning away from the stove once again, "no i didn't know this fact." he too, leaning forward to read the tweet on fran’s phone. he shrugged, "tal vez sea una señal (maybe its a sign)"

Pen/Colin - How much do I love that during their first sexual encounter he only cares for her pleasure? 👌 Also their first kiss was perfection.

Francesca! I relate to her so hard that it is scary - like she could be me. Then I come on here and everyone agrees she is autistic, so that tracks…. How lovely that she found a person who can be quiet with her and just inherently understands her boundaries because his are the same.

Cressida - I get this character so much better now. I even like her. And please let her be a lesbian! I bet her wlw tendencies are why her father doesn’t want her hanging out with Eloise?

2. booping wars of april fools and introducing gaby to barcelona ed sheeran as well as ring ding dong

tied for 3. holding you at gunpoint to watch alien stage, you immediately lying to aki about orv foreshadowing, francesca trying to tell gaby and i to stop lying to aki so she could theorize but then seeing how right aki was and joining in

tied for 4. LOSER PLANE planning the whole world trip and allllll the lore and tay and aki beef, as well as all of us trolling on anilist shitting on the orv anime despite all having orv profiles

5. us in the escape room complaining about how the hell we were supposed to find clues on the computer screen and complaining to aki meanwhile she was reading the french emails like we were supposed to. also aki 50 penalty minutes despite beating our asses LMAOO

Ok Hozier concert thoughts in order of the set list but also no order for the random things I remember

Awesome venue (Blossom Amphitheater). If I lived closer I’d go to so many shows. Also we drove through a little bit of the Cuyahoga National Park on our way out. It was a dark forest but would love to go back someday

Cool set! It looked like a scarf kinda, then the lighting and visuals changed it and the “scarf fringe” became the roots underground! Which like makes way more sense - it’s related to the album duh (yes I did have an edible before the show)

Opener Joy Oladokun was fantastic! Will be listening to more of her music. (Also the way she left the stage was so cool. The guitar sounded on all atmospheric and it was just neat)

Omg Hozier and band started off with De Selby pt 1 & 2 and it was magical. Like. It sounds like the album. But better even??

Also we stood up when he came out and didn’t sit down once - the energy was up!

Jackie & Wilson, From Eden - yes yes love them!

Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene was another one that somehow? Was better live

Dinner and Diatribes - loved the visuals they had on the screen at the back of the main stage and off to the sides. (I posted a short clip of this one)

Speaking of I didn’t record any whole song, just tried to catch all the talking bits between songs. He named all kinds of crew (and individual thank yous. Very nice) and at the end we all sang happy birthday to one of his crew team members!

There one bit where Hozier was like if you’re down there then who’s up here on stage? And the screen shows a dude with Hozier-like hair and beard got the crowd laughing - funny guy!

Next song was Francesca - 10/10 beautiful one of my favorites I love it

Nina Cried Power - another one of my favorites! And he introduced it by of course mentioning Ms. Mavis Staples and how big and small ways we can make a difference each day, and segued into the power of protest and what it’s achieved and then basically repeated what he said at Lolla (& maybe other shows?) about calling for ceasefire and a free Palestine and contacting our representatives. Like over 5 minutes and well worth it because it needs to be said. and acted upon.

Last one was Work Song. Just a perfect end.

So many kudos to the band

And seriously a tornado touched down in the area so the venue told everyone to shelter in our cars so my friend and I watched the clouds for a funnel and heard the sirens a few times and thankfully it passed and the show went on! Just a 30 minute delay of the gate opening. I know everyone there was manifesting the end to the severe weather lol

I will definitely try to see him live again. 100% with every penny! Oh yeah and Hozier thanked everyone and recognized the money spent to see him and other artists.

I saw you like complicated sapphic stories and Hozier and I've just gotta ask you: have you heard of Burn the House Down by Kenna Jenkins? It's an alternate history novel abt the 1st woman president and her secret sapphic relationship/bearded marriage with her mlm best friend and has massive Hozier vibes (especially Francesca, Nina Cried Power, Take Me To Church, Arsonist's Lullaby, The Wages, Better Love, and Nobody). It also has a subplot about arson at the White House, a pro-choice subplot with strong Swan Upon Leda energy, and ft. an entirely queer main cast and really fleshed out characters!

Bridgerton S3 Part 2 thoughts, spoilers under the cut:

1. Colin and Penelope - friends to lovers is my favorite, and they didn’t disappoint, though I feel Colin was a bit of a drama queen 😏

2. First time scene - so good! The trust she has in him… ah….💗 I know it was a choice made to limit Nicola’s exposure on screen, but I found it humorous that she was more concerned with covering her nipples than her genitals. Like fully naked, but the nipples are just too much 😂

3. Benedict!!!! I knew it! 🩷💜💙 I was confused as to why he claimed not to be an artist, though… what’s up with that?

4. (Book spoiler) Why were Francesca and John so rushed? I was honestly thinking maybe they were worried about pregnancy or something, or just they both hate the fuss? I actually loved their relationship, and I’m sad it will apparently end in tragedy (from what I gather from spoilers, haven’t read). But queer storyline incoming??!! Yes, please 🙏🏻

5. I have such sympathy for Cressida. She is lonely, frightened, and confused by her mother’s mixed messaging. The poor girl has only felt truly loved by Eloise.
