Summary: Lewis Hamilton is part-time Formula One driver and full-time fashion icon. And so is his girlfriend, Y/N Y/L/N, who's also known as a real life Barbie.

Warnings: None... but a lot of pink XD. Also this story is set in December 2023, so no broken hearts over Lewis going to Ferrari... actually maybe just a little teaser.

Author's Note: Hi Anon! This request is great and thank you so much for it, it definitely is good enough! :) I had fun writing and creating this, even though at the end it's kind of different than what I firstly intended to do. The original idea was to make Y/N very Barbie coded, but at the end I'd say she's Barbie inspired and I focused more on the fashion icon part of the request. Though there's a sweet storyline about why her nickname is Barbie, so I hope you won't be disappointed! :)

You think you’ve lost your sense of touch. Your sense of self. You can’t feel any semblance of their cursed energies anymore.

Geto Suguru laid on the ground, his eyes lifeless, an arm torn off from his body, laying uselessly within the pits of some sick curse’s stomach. A large hole stretched throughout his midriff. He had no chance of survival.

Shoko Ieiri was near your side, body cold, trapped within rubble that suffocated her already dead self, her face unrecognisable, gored from the ferocious attacks of a special grade that she stood no chance against from the start.

Finally, Gojo Satoru, laid on your lap as you screamed and cried for him to wake up. You can’t lose him. His eyes were wide open, crystalline blue dull and gone, his cursed energy barely even there. Your tears fell onto his face, staining his cheeks and seeping into the cuts he sustained.

You shake and shake him with your broken arms, your arms feeling useless as the nerves slowly started to die.

Please. Please. Please!

Don’t leave you alone in this universe. Don’t leave. Don’t leave! You can’t lose the only people you love. You can’t. Your heart shattered when Ieiri fell, crushed to dust when Suguru lost, and now nothing would remain as Satoru was defeated.

You feel the looming shadow of the special grade curse.

Jolting awake with a start, sweat dripping off your brow even as the AC ran. Feeling your heart stutter and pound, your senses going into overdrive as you felt the area for the three.

Suguru, Shoko and Satoru. You felt their energy all around you. A strikingly bright, overwhelming energy. An ominous, immense and darker energy. A serenely heart-chilling one.

Alive. They were alive. Your heart never felt such relief.

Thank goodness. It was just a dream. Just a dream.

Your hand scurried to what you thought was your missing leg, squeezing and pinching the flesh that was definitely there. Yep, definitely a dream. A horrible one.

A nightmare.

You hold your face in your hands as you felt tears begin to well up. You can’t believe your mind even conjured that. Bile was rising up your throat as you continued to cry.

You can’t live in a world without them. The thought of losing all three of them was devastating.

A life without them? You’d rather die. You felt the urge to throw up just thinking about this.

Water. You need water. Does Suguru keep his chamomile and valerian tea in the pantry too? You think you need some.

Your shaky legs barely hold you up as you venture out of your room, dressed in your sleep shorts, oversized shirt and fluffy lamb slippers. Your hair was a mess, your face void of most of its colour.

You must look like you’ve woken from the dead. (Your attempt at a joke to lighten yourself up. You need to spend more time around Satoru for his silliness. You suck.)

As you approached the kitchen, you were surprised to see a glowing lamp still on. Is someone in there, or did Satoru forget to turn it off?

You slowly peek in from the ajar door, only to find Geto Suguru, in all his glory, already staring at you. Long hair left down from his usual bun, dressed in sweatpants and a t-shirt with Satoru’s face printed on it.

In his hand, a cup of steaming tea.

“I thought that was you. How are you still awake?”

Your head was rested on his shoulder, his arm comfortingly wrapped around your shoulders, snuggled comfortably onto the sofa with one empty cup, the other half-way drunk on the coffee table before you.

“And? What happened then?” He softly inquired, voice soothing and gentle as he tenderly prodded your thoughts.

“You all… Were dead…” You began, a sniffle already squeezed out of you. The thought making you want to cry all over again.

“I- I could never handle… Losing any of you…” Your grip tightened itself around his shirt, hand over where his beating heart was, as you buried yourself into his shoulder, trying to press yourself closer to him.

“It’s okay.” He whispered. “I’m here. We’re all here.” His other hand came up to wipe at your tears.

“That will never happen.” He continued to say, hearing your breaths starting to slow and even out.

He was about to continue, until the door to the room was creaked open.

“Suguruuuuuuu, why’d you leavveee meeeee?” A whining Satoru has just awoken from Suguru’s bed. His eyes were still closed, had it made it all the way here just by feeling for his boyfriend’s cursed energy?

Then he must’ve sensed yours too.

Dressed in a shirt printed with Suguru’s sleeping face, and a similar pair of sweatpants, he creaked open his eyes. Picking up Suguru’s half-empty cup and downing the remainder of it.

You felt Satoru plop onto the couch right beside you, snuggling his face into your chest before he stretched over the length of both your and Suguru’s legs, placing his head on Suguru’s lap as he splayed his legs out on your own lap.

(The menace even reached out for your hand, holding it in his own as his eyes closed back, smiling as he threaded his fingers through yours.)

A cuddle pile.

He spoke, feeling Suguru stroke his hair.

“Ya just woke up from a bad dream?” It was an inquiry, tender and laced with a hint of worry.

You remain silent. He understands.

“Don’t,” He yawns, feeling comforted by Suguru’s hand. “Don’t worry…”

“We’re the strongest, after all…” He fell back asleep. How strong of him.

Suguru nods, a smile on his face.

“He’s right, you know?” A kiss to your forehead.

“We are the strongest.”

You think the tea was starting to kick in. Why was there such a warm, soothing feeling within you? You felt the lids of your eyes begin to grow heavy, Suguru opening his free arm more allow your head to loll onto his chest, holding you close as your eyes begin to shut.

Notes:

Suguru has trouble sleeping due to the bad aftertaste from swallowing curses. It’s disgusting, the taste haunts his mouth and he gags at the reminder of it.

It was Satoru’s idea to get his and Suguru’s faces printed on shirts. The photo he used for himself was one of him looking charming, whilst Suguru’s photo was one of him drooling onto Satoru’s pillow. The shirts are very high quality, and very expensive.

There is an extra shirt in your size with both of their photos printed on it hidden in Suguru’s closet.

Satoru finds it hard to sleep without a certain someone in bed. If Suguru is awake, they’ll both just sleep on the couch in the shared living room area.

Shoko was the one to find all three of you cuddled into each other asleep on the sofa. She got a blanket she draped over you as she drank her coffee, taking a photo of all three of you that she sent to both Suguru and Satoru.

See? She can be nice. But they both owe her a favour now.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. 

You were low on income. You were laid off from your job. The bills were piling up, with the very first envelope being a last notice for your rent…

You also had one of Gotham’s most influential crime families, breathing down your neck no matter what you did.

The Falcones didn’t want to leave any stone unturned, especially not the only daughter of a diner owner they once got protection money.

Which is what led you to the Iceberg Lounge. Your hands were clammy, your mind was constantly going over the information you've come to possess. The type of info you knew the Penguin would be interested in. 

You just hope you didn't cease, you could find the courage to say what you needed to say. Maybe even get offered a job…protection…

Don't go overboard, just get in and get out with your head. Make a quick buck and just figure out things from there.

"Oh there you are, you the bird I talked to on the phone?" 

You were shocked. You didn't expect to see him first. You were sure there was a hierarchy to these things. Like a lackey takes you to an assistant, and the assistant to that assistant and THEN the boss.

However, here he was in the feathers…eh flesh. Oswald “The Penguin” Cobblepot.

You swallowed the lump down your throat again, a lump that’s been growing into a valley of highs and lows. You do somehow manage a nod. 

“Aww, don’t be nervous, love…Unless you’re wastin’ my time then you can leave now.”

“N-No, Mr. Cobblepot…I-I wouldn’t do that…I have very..i-important information I know you’ll want.” You stuttered out of fear he’ll slam the door in your face. 

“Well, come on in, you’re letting the heat out.”

To say the least, you were surprised he heard you out. You had quite a bit of dirt on the Falcone family, seeing as how they had your father’s diner under his protection bracket for as long as you could remember. Although after your father retired and tried to get out from Falcone’s thumb, your father and uncle paid the ultimate price, their lives. 

Your only chance of survival at this point was to be protected under Penguin. You knew the Falcones would find you, no matter how fast you ran or how many names you changed. 

You didn’t want to run away anymore. You wanted revenge, but didn’t even know how to go about achieving it. A name kept coming up though whenever the crime family visited your family’s restaurant. Penguin…Cobblepot…Oswald Cobblepot. 

Oz took a deep exhale. “That’s a lotta priceless information, love. Bet it’s a load off your shoulders, isn’t it?” 

“Y-Yes sir.”

“Why’re you bringing this up to me now? Not anytime before, you sure don’t look like the type to be dealin’ with crime families…”

You clung to your wrist, slowly every now and then rubbing your arm to calm the upcoming shakes. You had nothing to hide, you weren’t lying, but just the fact that he could end your life with one false word had you shaking. 

Oswald put out the cigar he was smoking. You noticed his eyes rake over you and you could tell he noticed your hand and arm. Even through the broken glass stuck to his eye, you could still see him stare.

“M-My father and uncle owned a diner. Falcone had them under their protection bracket…constantly took advantage of us, quite frankly they did protect us much from anything or anyone…”

Oswald huffed at that, he didn’t expect anything different from them either. 

“But they would talk, and they talked a lot. Especially drunk. And they brought up you a lot, and how you were becoming a threat to them…” 

Oswald grinned at that. “So that’s how you come to sought me out…”

You nodded. 

“Listen, love, if we’re gonna continue this discussion…I’m going to need you to lighten up, all right. I’ve liked everything you had to say so far, so try to loosen up, yeah?” 

“O-oh uh…” You hastily shoved your hand down and just settled to have your arms behind your back. 

Oz sighed, “it’s a start…” “Where’s your pa and uncle now?”

“Dead.”

“Jesus…sorry, kid.”

You shook your head, “it…it was just a matter of time. The minute they spoke of getting out, I could just tell…”

A moment of silence hung in the room. Oz got up from the table and went over to another table in the corner. There was a couple buckets of ice with champagne bottles in it. He grabbed the bottle and a couple glasses. 

He set a glass in front of you and himself, before pouring a little bit in each glass. 

“Take a sip, love. It’ll help the nerves.” 

Not wanting to know what happened if you refused. You took a sip, you cringed at the strong taste, never really one for alcohol. Oswald laughed at your distaste. 

You couldn’t help but smile at the sound of his laugh. You didn’t expect it to sound so warm and welcoming. 

“So, Ms. L/N…what do you want ol’ Ozzie to do for ya? I am a businessman, obviously, you’d want somethin' in exchange for the lucrative information you’ve given me…”

“I just want you to use the information. Do whatever you will with it, just…” Your clenched your hands, knuckles going white. “Just…take them down…I don’t care how or when just…please.”

Oswald’s seen that before. The absolute fire in your eyes. The hatred, the anger, unbridled rage at the world and the cards you’ve been dealt. It wasn’t like the drunks in the Lounge that throw a temper at a losing streak. It wasn’t like the frustration at a business deal going sour. No, this was something more personal and deeply sown. 

“That’s good and all but where does that leave you?” 

“E-excuse me?” You quirked your eyebrow. You weren’t expecting the sadistic Penguin to be this...considerate. Maybe he just doesn’t like any debts. 

“The Falcones are looking for ya, yeah? They aren’t ones to leave family members unchecked that they once controlled. Especially clever pretty ones.” 

Your eyes widened at the compliment. You felt a small bit of heat tint your cheeks. “Y-Yes they are…they’ve already gotten me kicked out of one apartment. Came in demanding me and when they saw I wasn’t there they trashed the place.” 

Oswald nodded. Typical Falcone. 

“Stay in one of the upper rooms upstairs. I’ll have one of my boys go back to your digs and get your things.”

“Oh..uh...Mr. Cobblepot, I-I couldn’t that’s too much!”

Your heart was hammering against your ribcage. For the first time in the past few days you finally realized the weight of everything you’ve just done.

You just ratted out the Falcones, one of the main crime families of Gotham…to the Penguin, an arms dealer, and racketeer. The Penguin, known to be a sadistic and cruel man, also just offered you shelter from the Falcones. No doubt, with ideas to employ you under him. 

You were only able to snap out of it when Oz placed a calloused hand decorated with a few rings on your shoulder. “Easy, love. I ain’t gonna kill ya, so quit looking like your life is flashin' before your eyes.”

You blinked a couple times and nodded. “U-Um…I-I’d like to stay, i-if that’s okay.”

Oz lifted a hand to silence you. You immediately clamped your mouth shut. 

He whistled and soon you heard the bustling of boots. 

“Yes, sir, Mr. Cobblepot?” A couple lackeys with black leather jackets with an emperor penguin insignia on the sleeve came in.

“This young bird right here just gave me a golden goose egg. She’s gonna give you boys an address and apartment number. You’re to retrieve all her belongings and bring ‘em back ‘ere. Understood?” 

“Yes sir!” 

Once you told them your address and what all you wanted from your apartment, they men were off. 

You stood up, watching the men until they left down a lower floor corridor. You jumped when you felt Oz put his hand behind your back. 

He chuckled. “Jumpy thing ain’t ya, that’s all right. Good to be on your toes, c’mon I’ll show ya to your room.”

Before you knew it your new life under Penguin’s employment began, but it didn’t feel like employment for long. Thanks to your info, Penguin was able to get the upper hand on a lot of Falcone’s dealings, practically leaving them without a leg to stand on after the events of Arkham City and their feud with the Maroni’s. 

You stuck around the Lounge. At first, Ozzie thought to have you as one of the waitresses at the Iceberg Lounge, but the instant you clamped up at the thought he decided against it. It wasn’t long until he found the perfect spot for you. You became a dealer. 

Nights, weeks, months. Ozzie taught you the ins and outs of various card games. How to read people, how to control your poker face. 

“Hell, you’re as quiet as a mouse. You won’t peep a bit.” 

“Now I know you gotta good pair of listenin’ ears, I expect you to also be paying attention to what they’re sayin’. Let the drinks flow and let ‘em think they’re gonna hit, you’d be amazed how many bellends spill their guts during a winning streak.”

Boy, was he right about that. 

You got very comfortable with Oswald, it didn’t take long for you to open up to him. Especially during a game of cards or when you came to him to indulge information after a card game. His smile and laugh were contagious to you, you started coming to him when…there wasn’t a reason to. He didn’t seem to mind thankfully. 

You truly couldn’t believe you found yourself falling for the crime boss. He made you feel safe, safer than you’ve ever felt in your life. He taught you things you wish you knew sooner, he always knew when you were on edge and was always able to comfort you. 

You didn’t care for the rest of his gang or Tracey and Candy, who the latter eventually left. You remained quiet and standoffish around them. Only really communicating when you needed to, but you only ever wanted to be with Oswald. 

As for Oswald, he didn’t seem to mind. He liked having you around, your sweet smile warming his once stone-cold heart, or at least he was certain it was. He enjoyed your company. He liked hearing you talk, asking him questions and genuinely trying to know Ozzie. He felt himself open up to you about his family and his times in London. 

He actually felt something more powerful than money, drugs, or weapons. He didn’t want to quite call it love, but he knew that’s what it had to be. He knew it had to be mutual, by how you stuck with him through it all. Oswald being in and out of Blackgate, the feud with Mr. Freeze, the Joker’s death, everything. 

Most would’ve left, some did, or some died trying. You didn’t budge through any of it, even when he was sure you would. He knew then he had to keep you, just like that night you came to him with that fire in your eyes.

When he made his feelings known, it took everything to keep him on both legs after you immediately embraced him. If you two weren’t inseparable before, you definitely were now. 

Come what may in Gotham, but as long as you two had each other, you two would make it.
