ghhh i miss being in israel so bad
#like yeah it sucks ass there but istg i miss it so bad#like my view of being there is very specific because it’s always like just for family and friends no work or school or anything but still.#i need the vibes and the food and sjfkkf#i need the food so bad#theres like nearly nothing good to eat in aus unless you eat out#and im aware the good food in israel is eating out too BUT there is a difference between the expensive food in australia and the pastries in#israel which are like 14 shekels for 3 pastries and thats like a whole meal ur full#14 shekels in AUD would be roughly like. $5#ah shir#$5.60#meanwhile to get actually good food here its like 13$ for hotpot (which is cheap for food here)#or like 25$ for lasagna#and like what else is there. no clue i dont know#at least this one supermarket finally stocks israeli pickles again FINALLY#and the good brand too#finally had people (my parents) telling me off for eating pickles and drinking milk like one after the other as if thats not a normal thing#(its not a normal thing)#(but its my thing. pickles and milk <3)#omg once in israel right#i was at my paternal grandmas house with my dad grandma and my dads friend#and we were playing cards and shit and eating pickles#and i just sort of ate one pickle in like one bite i guess?? idk? #ehhh i’ll probably regret using tumblr like a diary later#but sometimes i want to share a little story from my little life#went to a röyksopp concert in Amsterdam last night#and my two friends and me ended up in the middle of what was very obviously#a polycule and/or a group of queer friends#consisting of 7 dilfs and one (1) woman (squad goals tbh)#and seeing them dance and have a good time with each other was so lovely#like good for u gents we love to see older queer people thriving#also one of them was extremely attractive to me (RIP) and i really tried my best not to stare at him#because being a creep isn’t cool#but in my defence he looked like a tall and muscular izzy hands#complete with grey beard and slicked back grey hair and earring and tattooed arms#and like one hour into the show my friend leaned in and said#did you notice that man kind of looks like izzy#and i was like yes darling i have actually been wildly aware of this fact for the past hour or so#and the show was SO good and röyksopp themselves were clearly having a blast too#bc they went “oh im sure we could do one more? would you like one more? shall we just keep this going?”#they ended up playing for THREE hours#my knees are wrecked from dancing ahahah#do you know that feeling that you get sometimes when you’re totally in the moment#and everything is actually perfect#and you are also able to appreciate the fact that this is a moment of perfect happiness#they usually only last about 30 seconds maybe but they’re so good?!!#just felt so lucky to be sharing a beautiful night with the beautiful people of this world <3

#red white and royal blue#personal#i saw a tweet yesterday saying that the rwrb movie is an instance of 'gay people deserve bad movies too'#and honestly? yeah theyre right#it was not great 😬#it really felt like the movie only focused on alex and henry#and while i love them as characters and im aware that it is their story#i really wished that they wouldve. u know. shown the other characters#it really felt like they were forgotten abt. like in the book if a character wasnt present in a scene u kinda knew they were around#but in the movie it just felt like other characters didnt exist if they werent around alex and/or henry#nora and bea literally are never in a scene without alex or henry. same thing with pez#(and btw PERCY??? percy??? ur sticking with percy??? no pez? pez didnt roll off the tongue just percy??? fine. ok. whatever)#ellen and oscar going from divorced and on shaky ground (fueling alot of alex's issues and trauma as a result) to married? like what?#they straight up removed actors from this movie. i remember polo morin being casted and him doing interviews#why the sudden removal? what happened?#speaking of removal. it really felt like they forgot to add scenes in bcos the pacing just felt off?#like one minute there would be a scene where nothing is really happening and the next theyre in paris like huh???#how did we get here?#there were just so many little to medium sized issues for me that kinda hindered this for me#im not saying its all bad cos it wasnt. it was a funny enough movie (the comedy both intentional and not was my fav part)#the love scene in paris was really beautiful like holy shit#i liked the performances enough? i dunno abt that one#none of them r bad actors really but tzp isnt really it for me sorry...#he was good in like the comedy scenes (actually he was really good there) but i just couldnt take him seriously during the confession like#i just felt nothing. i feel like thats my basic overall opinion for the movie. i felt nothing. still had fun tho#i watched the movie with my friends and i honestly think that added to it more. this is def a watch with friends and talk kinda movie#my friends knew i had read the book as well so throughout they would ask me questions and i kinda felt excited sharing facts abt the book#alright i need to wrap this up. it was eh. maybe i need to rewatch it without people around? maybe?#it def adds to the fun of it watching the movie with people but i def did miss 1 or 2 things#if u wanna hear more of my thoughts my dms r open. cos man do i have alooooot

It's words they hadn't considered, lost in the never-ending spiral of situations out of their control, the pieces of words and actions remaining sprawled across the table. Rosetta and Io had said he acted strange in Agastia when they stayed behind to fight Fenrir, and it was in that same city he first denied their request. A moment like looking in a mirror, perhaps a bit distorted, but the expression he had been wearing had been uncomfortably close to their own. (Why wouldn't it? When their hearts had lost its meaning.)
And then a memory that wasn't theirs emerged, and any thoughts about his grief was shelved.
They aren't surprised. They should be. This wasn't the kind of conversation they had ever had (but neither was any other). How many times now had he helped them out? Whether intentionally or not (watching the Grandsleuth made them wonder about the path their father had travelled, she looked more happy in the sky than locked to some harbor). Getting better — from the grief? Or from the past. He should be better, they should be better, everything was alright now. The night sky was glimmering, stars from a distant place gently offering warmth across a backdrop that wasn't broken anymore. Should they aim for it next? The moon or the stars—whichever would make people laugh in disbelief.
"You should visit sometime", it flows naturally, as if they were talking about tea and not matters of the heart. Since everything was alright and returning to normal, the bond between them should also return to its uncertain, wavering form. Not a friend, but not quite a foe, a presence they weren't able to name.
If they hadn't put their existence in his hands.
If they weren't realizing that whenever someone left their sight the memories of that day crashed through their mind. Their heart uneasy even in the comfort of the Grandcypher, knowing that Io and Rosetta were making dinner with Lyria and Vyrn. And yet. And yet.
"I can't say everyone will be positive", Phoebe had been rather distraught upon sensing Astrals nearby, and as much as it pained them to see, they also knew she trusted them when they said Loki and Mikaboshi wouldn't do her any harm.
