Listen to me please okay let's talk about it really. Maybe this is just me but I feel like the Slytherin boys fandom is usually more hetero. That's fine that's so fine that's amazing do not get me wrong that's lovely. Yk Theo and fem reader can fuck as much as they want to but Regulus is gay man. I KNOW OKAY I KNOW CRAZY TAKE. but he is. The maurders fandom is more queer. And I'm not ashamed to say that bc it is it's based on two men and everyone was like "yeah they fuck but what if their friends were also gay?" So I'm just saying like basically every character is some kind of queer and that's what makes it beautiful bc A nothing is real we can do basically whatever the fuck we want any one can be anything these bitches are like Barbies B almost everyone has at least a little bit of representation.

Slytherin boys cannot say as much. I love them deeply but like I think I've seen like max five writers who do male reader and those skanks. You can do whatever you want but you don't truly understand who regulus is if you couldn't even tell me his boyfriend's favorite pair of shoes is. And while it is lovely to see more Regulus content it just screams "I saw a hot man so he's mine now let's make him date fem reader" when that's not who he is that man is deeply scarred he needs his fucking boyfriend bro put him back

In conclusion, Slytherin boys I love you guys so much fr I love the characters and everything but Regulus stays with the maurders era and that's end of story.

I genuinely love the interactions between the Snape fandom and Snaters (who are also fans of the maurders). Majority of the time, Snaters believe fanon stuff and the rare moment they refer to the books is when they only try to twist the canon. Whereas, the Snape fandom legit always analyze and give textual evidence and don’t twist the actual events. It’s hilarious because snaters sound and behave like little bratty kids whereas the Snape fandom are mature and calm. 

Additionally, they also acknowledge Snape’s mistakes and flaws while the maurders fandom would rather jump of a cliff then to admit their favs mistakes.

Unpopular opinion but I get a little iffy when the boys say army is their lives.

I am talking about that part in the vcr from today’s performance when is written “my life is all about you”. Don’t get me wrong I genuinely believe that they love the fans and are incredibly grateful but the first thing I thought of was those fans that act like they own the boys.For some people reading that would validate their actions.

And maybe it is cause I am older but I would be happier thinking that bts live their lives for them, knowing that they have fans who support them when needed. Sorry for the ramble.

I don’t disagree I think it’s a bit more nuanced than an extreme either way because like you said obviously they care for their fans in some capacity and obviously they in general are just very caring people, some aspect of it is a “concept” although i think just boxing it into a typical like “dark aesthetic, cute concept” kpop box doesn’t do it justice. i think most of the time it’s a bit unfair to pin the actions of fans onto the group, singer, etc especially in this case. by saying they care for fans isnt inherently inciting ppl to take it as “i am their voice then and must control these seven ass grown men and act as their maurder on twitter dot com”. ur always going to have weirdos in fandoms, no fandom is free of them bc often it’s not the thing attracting gross people it’s just if u put a lot of people in one place it’s statistically probable that a portion will be gross abt things. not to mention how the kpop industry as a whole markets the, for a lack of a better term and just to use what u said, “ownership” thing

and I also think save maybe the surface value of the words in that VCR that bts have often expressed that they live for themselves and their music and the work and good they feel like they’re putting into the world!! I’ve heard namjoon say tens of times throughout this promotion period alone that they’re just dudes who love music. i think u gotta contextualize and call out the weirdos without letting them cloud the actual art bc people can quite literally take absolutely anything and spin it to whatever narrative they want to fit their argument

Alright guys hear me out on this Trans James Potter I think that in the hp fandom when talking about trans maurderes we always assume lupine or Sirius but what if James was MTF trans (trans woman). Think about how it would contribute to Severus Snapes bullying l. Because James is a dramatic little shit couldn't you imagine a diary entry going like "Father said I can't grow my hair out, I want to though. I want it longer. Not as long as Lily's but like the hufflepuff girl I know. I don't understand why I can't have it. James Potter painted his nails. Not up for debate.

One day he painted them with little sunflowers and Regulus loved them but obviously being the stubborn little shit he is didn't say a thing. James knows his lover inside out though and could tell the sunflowers were Regulus' favourite so whenever he painted his nails he'd always add a sunflower to one of the nails, changing it each time. This became a constant for Regulus and he always checked to see which finger held his sunflower.

When James and Regulus parted he never painted sunflowers again. He always had them painted black.

The day they got engaged he wore one on his ring finger.

The day they married Regulus had one on each nail, painted by James, himself.
