Synopsis: Soma, your boyfriend, happened to be the number one gamer in the world due to the fact that nobody could beat him at video games. Nobody except for his Lovely player two who he absolutely adores. One day during a zombie mob flash he sacrificed himself and got bitten in your stead so that you may live another day. Now as time passed, he was set to roam the streets as an undead zombie. Waiting to see you again to ensure that he won’t ever let the both of you be separated again. Not over his half dead body.

Soma, your boyfriend, is always so eccentric but sweet at the same time. He’d always make sure to mark down your important days on his calendar just to make sure he never misses a moment in his darling’s life. Which is everyday, from the moment you wake up down to the moment you close your eyes goodnight.

The Pro Gamers journal is filled with borderline obsessive scribbles of him recording the way that you sleep. And listing a bunch of observations about how adorable you looked curled up or sprawled out like a starfish. Not only that he takes the time to analyze and document every bit of your habits as if you he’s a biologist and you happened to be his precious specimen.

Either way no matter if you’re asleep or awake his hands won’t grow tired of drawing portraits of you. Within his sketchbook he used as an excuse to highlight gaming mechanics to his team. He’s pretty freighting when it comes to it, if you ask anyone on his team. They’d tell you to not even try and reach out towards it for a better look, since you get an automatic knee to the face.

“Oh my bad didn’t ya say that you wanted a close up of my combo breaker? Hmm? Not in irl? Well you Shoulda been more specific my guy”

Fast forward a few months, It all happened so suddenly when your part of town got hit with an unknown anomaly from a parasitic animal. That escaped from Devildom into the human realm. Successfully kickstarting a disease which made those who aren’t familiar with its origins. To fall into a frenzied state of loss consciousness and inability to control of one’s body.

During the earliest stages of the infection that spreading through your quaint city. Which was thankfully isolated from the rest to prevent even more of an outbreak. You were on a date with your boyfriend who was such a advocate for being spontaneous. Soma loved to surprise you with fun outings like going to amusement parks, para gliding, bungee jumping, kayaking, you name it.

But this time he wanted to give you a breather and take you on a lowkey cute date at a nearby cafe. Soma had an arm around your hip squeezing it lightly while he leaned against you like an over grown puppy.

“Lovie I’m so lucky to have you~ I don’t ever wanna live a day without being able to hold you, love you, kiss you, n fu—“

“Oh we’re here already! You excited to try out those cute menu items you’ve been fangirling about hun?”

Your boyfriend exclaimed giddily oftentimes having a habit of rambling on about how much he adores you on a daily basis. He went to open the door for you right after pressing a hungry kiss to your lips. It was something he always did before he had to leave your side even for just a brief moment.

Since he was paranoid in the fact that anything could happen to his cherished relationship with you. And he’d rather not it happen without him kissing you one last time.

You guys had just entered the door only to be met with a the rabid eyes and foaming mouths of the former patrons that dined there. It wasn’t any help that this cafe was jammed packed due to their popularity so it’d only take a split second for you to get snatched up by one of the infected standing in line.

You could barely register the way you were shoved out of the store by your boyfriend in an attempt to guard you from being taken by the horde. You stumbled outside the glass doors eyes wide with shock as you witnessed. A different side of Soma that you’ve never seen before, one that had him going batshit crazy.

Seeing how those filthy hands tried to take you away from him. Had him going off on a tangent about how he’d kill them twice over, for even trying to touch a single hair on your head. Claiming how you were his and his only and that nothing on heaven nor earth would change it.

Despite being outnumbered he put up one hell of a fight knocking the parasites down one by one into eventually one of them took a chance to bit his fist that he used to sucker punch their teeth out.

“Man you guys sure are tenacious for a bunch of deadweight…Shit just my luck”

Soma sighed, as if it was only a minor convenience that he’d gotten bitten. But nonetheless he kept letting his fist and legs fly not stopping until every single undead bastard was on the ground. Thanks to his self defense classes in karate.

It was only a matter of time before they got back up again so he turned around to give you a relaxed expression. A bright loving grin on his face as he asked you a simple question. While his veins became more prominent on his skin appearing in an abnormal pigment.

“Would you still love me as a zombie babes?”

You could only sob saying yes frantically as you watched your loved one turn into a different being. At your answer he let out a flippant sigh of relief before continuing to lock himself inside the restaurant. Using the key that was hanging off the hip of an employee he stunned.

“Good, then you’d better watch your back since whether im dead or alive I’d still be crazy in love with you baby.”

The gamer said in a soft tone that had a darkened edge to it, almost as if he wasn’t just trying to lighten up the mood with one of his lighthearted quips. But was issuing you an actual warning to beware of if you ever came across him while he wasn’t in control of himself.

Now go, your eyes should see only good things. And I’m afraid it’s gonna be ugly for me, Ah wait! Before you go…Give me kiss?”

Soma asked with a boyish grin pressing his face against the glass door with his lips puckered. As he waggled his eyebrows at you. It made you pissed off to say the least at how he was treating this a some kind of joke.

But you couldn’t help but notice his body twitching sporadically which was a telltale sign of how anxious he was. How scared he was of losing you. And how terrifying he’d be once he turned knowing that there’d be nothing to hold him back from showing his purest form of love for you.

Your boyfriend was already internally battling the urge to pull you against him. So you’d never leave his sight, that you two would be together forever regardless of death since nothing could ever change the way his heart beats purely for you. So just one more kiss, no matter if There’s a thin glass barrier, he just wants to be close to you, to somewhat feel you before his body shuts down on him.

You scrambled to press yourself against the door your palm on top of his. You gave him one last longing gaze, beforehand pressing your lips against the glass. Not noticing how he was just unblinkingly staring at your reflection. Burning the image of you so deeply into his mind that even if his critical thinking perished he’d never ever forget you even in death.

You were hesitant to leave him wanting to stay until his final hours but he childishly shooed you away. Claiming that he doesn’t want you to see him become an uggo version of himself. Since glowing down in front of his beau would be immensely embarrassing. He couldn’t help but feel a cruel twist of satisfaction seeing your reluctance to leave his side and those pretty eyes of yours welling up with tears meant only for him.

“We’ll meet again soon Lovie, mark my words, if you think I’d ever leave you alone then you’ve got another thing coming… So make sure to do your best until I come to make you mine once more permanently”

A few days later, the infection took hold of him but not in a way he was expecting. Sure he may have lost some of his humanity, but for a strange reason. The pro gamer still retained some fragments of his consciousness. His head was pounding from your name, invading his headspace. With every pulse of his brain that was fried at the moment.

Soma chuffed with a crooked grin, as he suspected not even death would take away his inherent need for you. Nor could it ever make it cease to be. He had to find you, sure it was selfish but he can’t stop from obsessing over your very being ingrained in his hazy memory. Where only the images of you were clear as can be.

Breaking the lock with his newly found inhuman strength, he became a half mindless zombie. Who actively searches for his you like a moth to a flame. Tearing everything and anything apart that stands in his way.

and as for quality time he finds it quite peaceful to be around someone who’s not such a weirdo for once

and even if you are one, for some reason he can tolerate your strange behavior way better than he can your friends 😂

it’s always fun to play that one video game he has together

and it’s practically a requirement that every saiki k hcs have—you two will eat coffee jelly together

he would at least want you to try it and if you don’t like it’s that’s fine more for him

she's so cool to all of your child's friends as well, she's the cool parent with different colored hair and tats that totally have those prissy moms side eyeing her hard and don't give a single damn

lets them do what they want at your house because they're safe and that's what matters at the end of the day, even if they're getting up to shit in their rooms

if your child wants colored hair she'll get them those fake hair clip ins and temporary die just so they can look more like her and oh my god it's adorable

also the fake tattoos you get at like grocery stores or dollar stores in those machines? your kid will always compare them to mama chloe's or yours if you have tattoos

shows them off and tells people she's matching with her mama

has great bedtime stories

when your child is still a baby she just loves to hold them and i mean LOVES too, the baby don't even care about being held chloe just don't wanna put them down

she speaks to her baby like they a grown man and that's it there's not another way

she be talking to it like it understands her while it just stares and drools while giggling because chloe is a very animated and entertaining talker, even you catch yourself listening aimlessly

she loves being and parenting though, even the stresses

sometimes though she feels like she's gonna fail at it but you just have to give her the slight reminder and that she's her fathers and mothers daughter, and they were both was a wonderful people and parents

joyce adores your child, whether you had them before or after chloe, she's in love and spoils them as much as she possibly can

chloe even jokes that joyce loves the kid more than her

max also loves them so much, loves taking pictures which actually helps capture a lot of memories free of you freaking out to grab your phone, she never posts them or anything, she actually gives them to most times to keep in the baby book

chloe saves so much money up to give you and them the best holdiays ever and birthdays, even if you're struggling with money, she makes it all worth while

but chloe most of all, is both scared and enamored that your little human thinks you and her are the entire world, and she doesn't plan on making that world fall apart like it did for her when her dad passed

What was your inspiration to write a mafia/mob/cartel/la familia type story?

So, I was primarily raised by my grandma and her sisters and they loved mafia films. Like, my grandma considered Robert De Niro to be her man. My grandma apparently wrote a whole mafia story in her notebook when she was a teen. 😂 I saw Once Upon a Time in America (my grandma's personal fave) and parts of The Godfather when I was really young, but I wasn't enthralled in these films. I didn't even understand the workings of the mob. Yet, I respected these and held fascination for them because it was my grandma's interest and I love my grandma! Some time passes. I'm in 6th Grade. My best friend becomes obsessedddd with Scarface. [which I feel is a general thing that's apart of black culture 😂😂] I mean she has her first fictional crush! And I'm in class endorsing it like a good friend! I saw that movie a total of three times when I was a preteen due to the love of my friend, including a lousy BET cut and even now I would say that is one of my favorite gangster films. Some more time passes and I'm still really into this genre even though I'm still dumb about the inner workings and hierarchy. I just know it's suits and action! In high school I wrote a shitty mafia AU story for a anime fandom I was in. We don't talk about that, but it was like a stepping stone and it was fairly well-received by my friends. Fast forward into adulthood and in 2016-ish? I made my OC Sal! Although Sink or Swim takes place in the modern day, Sal and Eve were originally historical ocs! So, I tried to do a lot of research through film. Instead of watching documentaries or reading thoroughly, I watched films like Harlem Nights, Goodfellas, Mean Streets, Godfather, A Bronx Tale, Casino! And in watching these movies I had the mindset of, "okay, I wanna take these elements for Sal, I wanna leave plot themes like this out." also shoutout to the video games Mafia I, II, and III. They had some immersive storytelling. I roleplayed Sal for awhile on tumblr and eventually I met @ladygangsters who was equally into the gangster genre! But due to her love of the series Narcos, I learned a lot more about the cartel beyond my shallow Scarface knowledge. She's really the one with all the cartel ocs, broadening my horizons!😂 I didn't know if I wanted to do a gangster story on simblr tbh. Mostly because tackling a complex story was daunting and it's WAY EASIER to just do slice of life narratives. When I first started Sink or Swim I was lowkey freaking out irl like, "I don't know what to do, I don't know I'm doing, oh my god I'm gonna torment myself with this story." But I didn't scare ya'll away with my content. I didn't feel overwhelmed when I reached certain heavy points of the story. I feel like I trust myself to tell this story now more than I did when I first plotted it out. And now I'm doing a lot of heavy co-writing with @ladygangsters and we treat our writing the way we would if we were still rping with each other, so that brings a high level of comfort.

I guess I'm in a sappy mood so I'll talk about why Homestuck means so much to me. For a year I've kinda wanted to make a video about it, and maybe I will, but for now I just wanna talk abt it. I'm not tagging this as hs but serious trigger tag ahead please tell me if you want to tag this as anything

Okay so I got into Homestuck around 2011, I was being pretty heavily abused by my grandma and mom and also neglected by them which is a very weird ass combo, but a story about someone playing a game and having such close friends appealed to me (I also thought Homestuck was an anime before finding the comic and would look up like "Homestuck episode 1" and get mad when I couldnt find it lmao). Now keep in mind I was a child so like media literacy wasn't my strong suit but I still retained and understood a good ammount of stuff mainly about characters. Anyways as a child naturally does I started talking about it with all of my friends and tried to get them into it, and one friend got REALLY into it. The best I can describe it is like that episode of the Cuphead show where Mugman likes piano and Cuphead gets into it and immediately overshadows him. But I was still happy to have someone to talk about it with. My favorite characters at the time were Meulin, Nepeta, and Damara and I would happily talk about them, but the person would shit on me for liking Meulin claiming she was a bad person and constantly pointing out all her flaws, it annoyed me because they're favourite characters had TONS of flaws they didn't acknowledge but for some reason me loving Meulin was the worst thing ever. I also loved the Midnight Crew and later to my chagrin they did too. I kept reading as updates came out and soon Homestuck became their entire thing, I remember going over their house because at a certain point they were my only friend and they talked to me about Homestuck like I didn't introduce them to it. But yknow, okay, whatever. We would ship our ocs with Canon characters and pretend to be characters and stuff, pretty standard until one day they came over my house and insisted on being Dualscar. They wrote a fic about him doing it with one of my ocs and I was just kinda happy for the attention. Anyways we were rping in real life and I don't remember when, or how, but they had me pinned to the couch and were insistent I let them touch me because we were role-playing and they were Dualscar. Now I've always lowkey been ace, especially in my younger years, so I was pretty uncomfortable, and even if I wasnt asexual someone having you pinned down insisting on touching you when you're not consenting isnt a fun time. Anyways they did stuff like this a few times more in various places and would get mad when I said no to their advances. But for some reason I kept hanging out with them. They were gross and rude and pushy but the only friend I had. I remember them basically assigning me Diamonds Droog kin which I didn't care because I liked Droog(still do) and would pretend to be Slick and suprise suprise would try and molest me. I began to get bitter towards Homestuck, something I once loved was being used against me in one of the worst ways possible. It was a weird time because I would just begrudgingly read the updates I once loved. Anyways when I was 15 they molested me again and it was the worst one, like I wouldn't let my family members hug me for years type of bad. I remember the exact video I was watching when it happened, Game grumps playing Silent Hills PT. I couldn't watch that video for years after. I also remember them showing me really fucked up porn between characters and when I asked like "Hey isn't that weird?" They did the ol' "Ugh it's just fictional!!" Sheit. Anyways at a certain point Homestuck was just ruined for me. I finished it just to say I did and when people asked me if I liked it I would lie and say I didn't. Thankfully I broke it off with them after nine fucking years of knowing eachother. For years I continued to say I dislike homestuck until I got like 22...I stumbled upon Hiveswap and it was funny all of the troll and Alternia facts I could remember, I was hesitant at first and was still like "Ugh but I don't REALLY like it!!" And then I saw....Them....

It was a weird feeling accepting that "Yep I like Homestuck I've been lying to myself for years" and I bought friendsim. I was hooked emmediately. It was like a flood of love I had for homestuck when I started in 2011 all came rushing back, the person who hurt me didn't matter, all that mattered is that I was enjoying it again. Tbh like alot of stuff from my first read was sort of still in my mind, so I stuck to watching recap videos and reading segments I couldnt remember and holy shit there was so much I missed as a child. And then I got Hiveswap and BAM I'm hooked even more, and then

AND THEN...

I rewatched and re-read the first intermission...

And it was set in stone that I'm a Homestuck at heart. It was like walking into a bar I hadn't been to in years and all of my old friends were there to welcome me, I was enjoying something again that used to bring me so much comfort before it was ruined for me, but it didn't have to be anymore. I think I sobbed when I realized that. It feels nice to enjoy something that for years was soured for me.

Uh yeah that's why homestucka and hiveswap means so much to me. Opening this blog has been an amazing way for me to get into the fandom which I never have before. I'll probably be an old man talking about leprechauns and trolls but I'll be happy.

Cult Leader Suguru x Non Sorcerer User: Now this one is the chat where I just wanted him to lowkey just be nasty but not in the ;) way but in the he senses you are a non sorcerer and he feels nauseous because of that and so he is like "So we letting everyone in here now?" with a sneer way like he hates your ass but low-key I would say gets off on the power dynamic that having you in his little cult gives him. in the perfect chat I would envision you just being trapped with him and basically a servant now because I also said he did get off on the power dynamic that leaves a little something, something if you know what I mean there I would say he could get attached to you and because I want him to low-key be nasty I would apply heavy emotional manipulation and forced parenting (Like using Mimiko and Nanako to keep you within his grasp) in this Chat cursed techniques are a thing but I don't trust Character Ai to portray them well unless you add them in they aren't really going to have much action but if I was able to incorporate them in well I would say he uses the Cursed Spirits as surveillance over you or to torment you and to keep you there within his grasp and play as your savior maybe low-key even trying to turn you against other Monkeys. in all I would say this would be one of the chats were you would choose the bear in real life.

Game Over: Play Again?: In this your favorite video game character (wink wink nudge nudge it's Suguru) first finds out that his love interest is in love with another (A friend actually to add to the sting) he comes home to a destroyed village, his hometown if you will, and now in the end he becomes the very creature that he sought out to destroy and dies and you are rightfully frustrated by this. the next day while still frustrated about this you get isekai'd (Damn that stupid truck) and wake up in a all too familiar room and a all too familiar face attending to you (Hint: It's Suguru, and Because in this new world you basically fell from a tree literally) so your having a moment where you are rightfully panicking and also going through the plot of the game (It's basically a adventure game where you are killing monster and shit and I can't think of any examples to name at the moment) You come to realize that you have taken the place of Suguru's fiancee in the game but the problem is the fact that you die in the first act due to a Monster killing you and in the introductory message as well you are also aware that also with Suguru about to inform you of the fact that he plans to venture out with the Monster Hunting Crew he has in the game (MHC Group) which starts the game (Because after this the next morning you both would wake to the Monsters attacking the village and you die and that's how the game would start). You have a main character moment where you are like this is finally my chance to fix his story and your wanting to get him his happiness while also being like well since I am stuck in this world now I guess I will also venture for my happiness as well

And they were Roommates...: this chat is supposed to be lighthearted and fun with the introductory message talking about the fact that you both met at one of Satoru's house parties and hit it off as friends and actually ended up becoming roommates I poke a little fun at this but you can basically just treat this as a Slice of Life chat bot but like I said in the introductory chat this would be a Slice of Life chat if the main characters were perpetually broke and on the verge of running out of instant noodles also Suguru is a server at a restaurant in this so yeah :))))

whilst he’s trying to figure out what’s happening, you’d wake up and he’d watch you without making a comment; because his Six Eyes never lie. It’s you, but what looks to be in child form

when you see a super tall man with weird eyes next to you, you’d definitely clam up and look like you were on the verge of crying since you have no idea who this weird man is

no doubt he’d be unsure of how to deal with you, because let’s be honest here - you’re usually the parent in the relationship and he’d be the child between the both of you

so he’d try to coax you to talk to him, but you refused to even get out of the comforts of the bed; curling the duvet around you to hide away from the scary man

he will find you so cute, but would call Ieiri to see if she can drop by to check on you since ‘my girlfriend became a toddler over night and apparently hates me’

gojo would probably the most poutiest person the entire day, and would make his displeasure known to everyone - and i mean everyone, who passes by him

lowkey though think he isn’t that sad since he still gets to record a lot of blackmail, and that he knows that you’d probably return back to normal - even if you’re scared shitless of him right now

when you return the next day, I bet he’s going to cling onto your hip, whining about how you refused to give him any attention because you were scared at him

he’d just stand there with the most confused look on his face, entirely frozen since he wasn’t sure what’s going on and how to go about this situation

you’d look over and see him standing there with a deadpan expression - and let’s be honest, fushiguro’s deadpan expression is probably really scary

you’d probably freeze up and your bottom lip start to wobble as you hide your face into his devine dog’s fur to try and hide away from him; the dog unsure to go to his owner or stay with you, who he was taught to take care of as well

fushiguro might just walk out and leave you without a word, which made you blink in confusion at how weird the man was; only to return with a confused yuji who had been dragged out from his room wordlessly

“oh my god - it’s a mini Y/N!” Yuji would say with a laugh before he walks towards you, squatting down beside the bed with a smile whilst you looked over at him with teary eyes. “hello there, my name is Yuji.”

to be honest, who will not be drawn to the sunshine that is Yuji? So you quickly warm up to him and even let him take your hand in his before he led you out the room so he can show you about

he would be so offended - why do you find him scary, but you’d so readily follow Yuji, who you just met as well?

but he wouldn’t show it on his face, since he’s good with hiding his emotions; lowkey really hurt though

“gojo-sensei! come look at Y/N-san!” Yuji would call out to their teacher, who might be walking past the dorms at that moment; the tall shaman laughing when he saw a mini you staring up at him in awe.

the three of you are going to cause absolute mayhem for the rest of the day - to the point where fushiguro might feel a tiny ounce of regret for going to yuji for help

when nobara was introduced to you, she couldn’t stop pinching your cheeks, cooing at how you’d smile up at her even as she was gently pinching your cheeks between her fingers. “you are such a cute baby, it’s not fair!”

she would definitely dress you up, wanting to take his opportunity to take a bunch of cute pictures of you wearing things like different accessories; might even ask if she can put some makeup on you so you’d look like a little doll

whenever fushiguro tries to talk to you, you’d get scared because he isn’t one to be super soft like nobara can be, or super friendly and warm like gojo or yuji - so that in itself didn’t help

you’d probably try and hide in yuji’s jacket or refuse to let gojo set you down on the ground when you see megumi close, which irritates the poor teen even more

yuji might try to help him talk to you by giving him some advice on how to handle kids, but you’d still be hesitant around him since he is just too awkward to know exactly on how to approach you

now he was definitely certain he is not interested in having kids anymore

eventually though he might just give up and let you be, hoping that he’d get his lover back soon so he doesn’t have to deal with this entire situation

when you came back the next day, super confused to why yuji is asking you if you felt okay because you felt fine?

until he explains the situation, and the first thing you did is went to fushiguro’s room and quietly entered his room to see what he’s up to

“thank god.” was the first thing you heard before you felt a pair of heavy arms wrapped around you protectively and a warm face buried into your neck; fushiguro’s hair tickling your cheek. “i am never going to take you for granted again.”

to be honest, nanami might be the only one who knows what to do with you. i feel like under that entire business man image he shows, he’s lowkey really good with kids

so when he walked into your shared room in the morning after making breakfast for the both of you and sees a child that looks like you blinking back at him, he’d just sigh tiredly and rub the bridge of his nose

you might feel super intimidated by him; but i feel like nanami might still be able to talk to you; or make compromises for you so that you’d at least feel a little more accepting of him

yes, you make nanami make you chocolate chip pancakes from time to time, and luckily the night before you told him of your craving for them - so what kind of boyfriend would he be if he didn’t make that dream happen for you?

he’d let you go and explore the house after breakfast whilst he gets ready, standing nearby to keep an eye on you but not stepping in when he sees you struggling - not because he wants to tease you, it’s more so he wants you to come up to him to ask for help yourself instead of forcing himself on you; which you did, with much reluctance

since he needs to go to the college today, he decided to bring you along, knowing that deep down that it was going to be the most hectic day he’s ever experienced

first person to see you was probably gojo, who might burst out laughing at the sight of you clinging onto the side of his pants after he made his way to work, bending down so he was your height. “oh my god, Y/N, you are so cute!”

“please do not scare them.” nanami would say with a tired sigh, watching you as you carefully walked out from behind nanami to give the white haired sorcerer a curious once over. “you are already a big enough of a pain as it is.”

much to his dismay though, you seem to warm up to gojo really well; even letting him pick you up and run about the campus to show you off to the rest of the staff and student body - confirming nanami’s belief that today was going to be a very long day

the students will love you - you are known as quite the formidable sorcerer who can take down special grade curses with ease; but right now you were curled up around fushiguro’s devine dog, playing with its fluffy tail in delight

you were dragged about to meet the second years as well, who were all so infatuated by their sometimes part time teacher being shrunk down into a child

nanami might go to ieiri for advice, and when he was told that it’d wear off naturally, he was more reassured, since this isn’t a permanent change

because you have other options to be with others, you did tend to avoid nanami in favour of more nicer people; and unfortunately to nanami, this fact did not go unnoticed by gojo

let's just say that, in order to save sam's ass, the four of them would be a bit hesitant at first upon knowing their girl or crush has a totally different music taste from them. like all they know is rock, blues, jazz; i mean they do know what pop sounds like. but samuel francis kiszka over here is a total hypocrite and i'll tell you why: he would use your music taste to poke on you, tease you, even bully you, but would, lowkey, love your music taste. NOW HEAR ME OUT, he would never let you know he actually listens to your spotify list. i mean, you can't truly see who likes your playlists. he would probably ask danny to like it too so you wouldn't doubt about that single follower, but he would still jam to it every night. it's just that it's stronger than him, you know?

the action was so simple yet so meaningful you had no idea how to react. in fact, you did create that playlist and even copied his idea of writing down the reasons behind your favorite songs. eventually, you ended up made him a spotify account to create a shared playlist, so you could have your favorite songs together.

we know from experience that jake is a heart player. and something tells me he's all about impressing a girl. so, if you're his crush, he would go around asking your friends about you and stalking your social media, just to find a way to talk to you about something you like. music is important to him, so knowing your favorite musicians would be a vital piece of information. he at first would not know how to react upon knowing your music taste was the opposite to his. his brothers would probably tease him for that, but he deeply didn't care as long as he could have you. i mean, like, it's even better if you don't have that in common; it's something new to learn. so basically, i feel like, even maybe against his will, he would still learn about it to impress you.

so the imagine i have in mind is the day you two meet. like he would have seen you around college for a while already and, by now, he was aware you were a huge pop fan. he did his little investigation, checking the artists you followed and the most listened songs of them. he eventually had enough information for a first encounter. so how did this go? jake was sitting near you at the library when he was supposed to be studying, and noticed the music coming a bit louder from your headphones. he recognized the song quickly and, upon seeing you taking your headphones off, he started humming the melody. you realized what was going on when you heard the familiar sound, and you smiled when you two met eyes.

"was that...doja cat?" you asked, confused by the coincidence

so, like, danny is as open minded as josh, in my opinion, but for different reasons. like with josh, it would have to be someone he truly cares about to open his mind to new, different things. for danny, it's because he just doesn't care that much. like my man over here can listen to whatever sounds good and, like everybody, he has some guilty pleasures. so upon knowing his crush has a complete different music taste to his own, he wouldn't make such big of a deal. like he would probably be stunned, as he would have never expected that. but he would proceed to just listen to you rant about your music taste and think about giving it a try.

and like, i imagine a scenario with one date. you were still getting to know each other and the topic of music had been just brought up by danny, asking you for your favorite songs and artists. you shared it without second thoughts, and was caught by surprise when danny asked for the reasons behind it. you were even more shocked when he asked for a bunch of recommendations, to which you smiled and presented him some options. many dates later, danny brought this up one more time.

"oh, y/n, the songs you recommended me the other day" he suddenly said, making you put your book down

"what about them?" you inquired, diverting your attention now to your date

"i listened to them" you never expected for him to actually listened to them, as you thought he probably was trying to flirt with you "that song by that kpop group bts, it was really good. i didn't know they had such deep lyrics, it even made me reconsider my life" he concluded with a little giggle

knowing he had also paid attention to lyrics when the song was not in english truly shocked you, and you stayed in awe as danny went off about the other songs you had recommended. soon, and after started dating, you and danny would eventually have the same music taste, as a result of mixing both of your past tastes.
