Hello Pia! You’ve probably been asked this before, but since I’m late to this specific party and don’t know how to find the answer I’m just going to go ahead and ask again: Are the books Arden recommends to Efnisien made up or do they exist? I want the book on queer nature but could only find a poetry book with that title. 😅
It's really just a mix, anon!
The book on jellyfish with the hot pink and royal blue cover? That exists. I can't remember the title, but there's not that many books on jellyfish and you should be able to find it. Okay no I'll stand up and go look at my bookshelf because I own that one, hang on... it's Spineless by Juli Berwald. The book on Game Theory and Animal Behaviour was real, which made me laugh.
The book on queer nature doesn't exist from memory, I wanted to invent a book that had a spine of the colour I wanted so I did. The book Pastel Shibari Dreams doesn't exist (which I say in the author's note), but the book on Leading and Supporting Love is real (which I say in the author's note).
Unfortunately I can't tell you which of the others are real or not because I write the word book nearly 800 times in that story and a ctrl+F is going to hurt my clicker finger going through all of those, lol, and I didn't keep a list of the titles that were real and the ones that weren't. Needless to say it's just a mix. (The tl;dr is I'm too lazy to click 800 times to check how many other books I mention - I think the planet one about the moons of wherever I also invented so I could make my Ganymede joke).
There are books on queerness in nature though, but I can't remember any off the top of my head. There were just none that were doing exactly what I wanted. The story really is a mix of 'I'm making this one up' and 'I own this one' and 'I need a very specific book spine cover and most photos of books don't show the colour of the spine so I have to invent a book' slakjfsa :D

I think what I want to get into with the "Anyone can do harm." thing that I keep beating yall over the head with is that literally anyone, anyone at all can do harm it's not "in your DNA" to be an abuser or written in the stars that you'll be a predator.
Whatever image you have of an abuser in your head, drop it and replace it with your favorite person in the world and you'll probably be closer to the truth than you realize.
It's easy to address harm when it's coming from someone you already hate.
I see it happen all the time. Someone you couldn't stand for no real reason does something heinous then all of a sudden here comes the avalanche of "I always knew they were a fucked up individual."
No, you didn't.
There is no possible way you could have known, you just already didn't fuck with them before they started doing something you could use to justify your hatred of them. I'm guilty of it too! I'm petty, mean, vindictive, and yes! I'm way quicker to believe something bad about someone I hate versus someone I love because I'm human. Still, y all gotta learn to move past that initial "Well, they were always nice to me!" gut feeling and understand that nobody truly knows anyone and anyone can be capable of anything. Even victims. Even you.

On average, what is the total MONTHLY amount that you spend on dining out*?
*(This doesn't only count going out to restaurants, but also stuff like picking up fast food to bring home, getting a coffee on the way to work, getting a premade sandwich from a grocery store deli during lunch, buying a quick snack from a convenience store or food cart whilst walking somewhere, ordering a pizza or any other food to be delivered to your home, etc.)
*(If you often dine out in groups/as a household: calculate and divide the costs so that you get a Per Person average. This is for YOU individually, NOT the total household/group costs)
(I'm sure polls similar to this have been made before (very common topic), I just haven't personally seen one that I can remember, so, I was curious to do my own! I was discussing this with a group of people today and it was very interesting to see how widely the number varied between individuals. :0c )
(Reblog for bigger sample size if you can, and feel free to explain your answer in tags if there's anything extra to add!)

RavenPaw with the Adder he caught in the first book. They described him as tripping over it on the way back to camp, which I thought was so cute…

Hi! this is kinda an art request if u dont mind. And it's angst related, can you draw like where wanda and cosmo obvs have seen for a while how (human) timmy has been treated by his real parents. I just want to see like the "last straw" which lead Cosmo and Wanda wanting them to make Timmy as their own. (IM HAPPY THAT TIMMY HAS A FAMILY THAT LOVES AND CARES FOR HIM)
The "Last Straw"?
Cosmo and Wanda have seen humans at their best. They've seen humans at their worst. They've seen anything and everything that they've gone numb and used to what humans get up to.
But nothing's shaken them quite like Timmy's case did. Nothing has ever made a Fairy feel such strong human emotions than what Timmy made them feel, on that one particular night.
The thing that broke Cosmo and Wanda was Timmy himself.

Small but significant character moments that I actually really adore are from both the times we see the boys as tots. There is a reoccurrence that happens in both of them that I find so incredibly interesting.
For the turtle tot short, Splinter leaves the boys with weapons. In the short, Raph is the one who suggests they do “what Lou Jitsu would do” and Leo is the one who takes point when Splinter comes back to reprimand them. Leo, in taking point, is the one to defend them and get Splinter off their tails.
And then, in the flashback regarding the Kuroi Yōroi helmet, Raph is the one who grabs and throws “Skully” as a way to replace their missing ball which breaks it into pieces, but Leo is the one who speaks for the group and rushes into action to fix the teapot.
I love this for multiple reasons, but the biggest are how it shows that Raph has always been inclined toward the bold and fun and making the plans to include his brothers in what he loves and believes they’d love, whereas Leo has always been inclined to be the “Face” of the group and shoulder the attention even if it’s potentially negative all while coming up with on the spot attempts to fix the situation.
