Help A Teenage Girl Evacuate Gaza!

Hi everyone, I'm reposting this one from Instagram, illustration is by myself and depicts Amal. She reached out to me to share her story and her evacuation fund.

Amal's situation is exceedingly dire. She has faced extreme difficulty accessing food and medicine she desperately needs. Airstrikes and famine conditions have forced Amal to navigate an increasingly dangerous Gaza, in which she is already internally displaced. Amal is only 18 years old, and has been forced to give up her high school and college dreams in order to survive this genocide. Please join me in making sure this teenage girl has something to eat and a future to look forward to.

@handalapls is Mohammed Ayesh's blog. He's currently inside Gaza working tirelessly to verify fundraisers. Do I have to explain how exhausting that is? He's in constant danger every single day, and still goes out of his way to help others as best he can. He also has to care for his family, including his little brother Yasser, who is hard of hearing and has a cochlear implant

The implant requires charging, which is difficult due to the destruction and inavailability of power sources in many parts of Gaza, and it's also starting to malfunction, as they're unable to care for it properly, again, due to the living conditions they are in. Trying to repair the device or get a new one would be extremely expensive, and they cannot afford it. This means that Yasser is having a lot of trouble expressing himself, since he's also been unable to have the speech therapy sessions he used to have, which made communication easier for him

Mohammad's fundraiser is destined to collect money to repair Yasser's hearing device, fund his speech therapy in the future, and help his entire family rebuild their lives. In a post on his blog, he's expressed wanting to close the fundraiser before the end of the year, and he has yet to reach his goal. As of today, his campaign sits at £35,320/£60,000. Please share his campaign, and donate to it if you can. The smallest act can make a big difference for him and his family. Mohammed spends so much effort trying to help those around him, it's only fair we should do our best to help him too

It's a place where we're living through some very challenging times We're under attack from bombs, explosives, and warplanes, and we've had to endure many nights of sleeplessness. It's a difficult situation ,but we're trying to stay positive. This war has really taken a toll on us. It's destroyed our bodies, our lives, and our souls. It has been so sad to see our homes destroyed, our belongings taken from us, and our beautiful places ruined. It has also changed our situation for the worse. We were living a pretty_good life, you know? Peaceful, loving, and full of life. But then, we found ourselves in a really tough spot. Hunger, fear, and terror have become our new normal. My family along with my extended family, are struggling to make ends meet. We don't have the basic necessities of life, and our living situation is pretty rough. We're in these old, falling-apart tents. It's so hard to know what to do when winter comes. We'll be soaked in the rain and wind, and I'll be at a loss as to how to keep my family safe, from the bombing and from the summer .

I have not received a donation for along time, and I did not find enough support to reach my goal. Your sharing of the link is important to save my family's lives.

My beautiful, sweet cat, since the house next to my tent was bombed, Chiara ran away from fear and did not return. I searched for her everywhere, but to no avail. My heart was torn with fear for her. I imagined that something bad had happened to her. My heart trembled until I found her under the rubble of a house far from me, hiding from the ferocious dogs and cats. I gently carried her. She was very hungry, and because the crossings are closed, I do not have meat, fish, milk, or even milk. She remained hungry until she ate a piece of dry bread with me because of her extreme hunger. I am not Palestinian, I am Indigenous American.

One hundred and forty six years ago my people were forced to move to Oklahoma, this event was known as the Ponca Trail of Tears. The land my people were forcibly moved to didn't have any proper shelter or food, so my people both froze and starved to the point we are a fraction of what we once were.

The government and schools don't talk about what America has done to my people, I only know because of my great-grandfather and his sister.

The American Government tried to take our identity away, our language is dying out. All because my people weren't living the same lifestyle the land stealers were living.

I stand with Palestine because I see Israel doing what America did to my people and the many Indigenous tribes. I know what it is like to have your identity and culture oppressed and to be dehumanized, and I refuse to let history repeat itself. I will continue to stand with Palestine even when I no longer walk the Earth.

Hello, to everyone reading this blog, I wanted to tell you, as you are reading this blog now, that as I am writing this post, shells are falling around us and planes are dropping their bombs over our heads, and that up until this moment I have not eaten anything since morning. I only ate 6 dates for breakfast. Have you ever thought about what it is like to be agonizingly hungry and to fear death at every moment? Do you know that I have been injured for 300 days and have not been able to remove the metal shrapnel stuck in my body due to the closure of hospitals in Gaza? Also, do you know that my house is destroyed and I move every day from one tent to another due to the occupation’s warnings to bomb areas in Gaza? I am sorry that I spoiled your mood with this conversation. I just wanted to tell you what I feel and live here in Gaza in light of our neglect, lack of assistance, and the media’s silence about us and the famine we are living through and the massacres being committed against us.
