Rottmnt Headcanons!! (2)
Leo listens to girl in red because April once forced him to and he fell in love with all the songs. When hanging out, they put girl in red in the background.
Raph has a lot of plushies from his childhood. He doesn't play with them anymore, but they're still they're and he would never give them up (haha just like me fr!!)
There was this one time where the turtles wanted pizza and instead of just ordering like any normal person they crashed a stranger's kitchen and stole every pizza related thing. It's still an unsolved crime.
Donnie always had problem with touching, but it got a lot worse after the movie. Now he doesn't let anyone hug him, slap him or anything. Especially on his shell. He feels bad for flinching when people try to hug him. The others tell him that they don't mind and they get it. He's really grateful for that.
When they were younger, Splinter got these really depressing episodes where he couldn't even get out of bed. Raph was the one to take care of them when this happened. The worst ones could last weeks.
Splinter didn't want to get attached to the turtles, so he tried to be as distant as possible whole still being a good caretaker. Also, he gave them as much freedom as possible because of how he didn't have any growing up, but since he never wanted to be with his grandfather he didn't think they would want to be with him. Which is why he was so surprised when four little children came into his room crying because he wouldn't play with them.
After explaining the whole future thing to Casey, she ran into the Lair, deciding to test her son. He passed immediately.
The twins have their own version of the Lair Games which they play everyday to decide who's the oldest. It can change from rock papper scissors to a fight to the death (Raph always stops them before they actually do anything).
The boys chose their own names. Splinter was reading them a book, and Donnie mentioned the fact that they don't have actual names, just weird color nicknames. So, Splinter tells them to find a name they like and make it their own. They decided to go by the names they have now because they wanted to match.
They all love Brooklyn 99 because I love Brooklyn 99.
Everytime they talk about “the family”, they include April, because she's their sister.
There was this one time where April didn't have anyone to go to the school dance with so Leo joined the school a few months before and went with her using Sunita's cloaking brooch (he had to fight Donnie because he also wanted to go to school).
Mikey tried to give Big Mama a redemption arc like he did with Draxum, but he didn't manage to fully do it so they now visit eachother once a week while still fighting whenever they're on duty.
The Krang is basically the only thing Leo won't joke about. They found out when Donnie said that “the last fun thing I did was two months ago and it was becoming a fucking Krang spaceship” and Leo stared at him for the next ten minutes.
Whenever Mikey or Leo go quiet, Raph is alone and Donnie is handling dangerous weapons without adult supervision it's because something is going down.
April is the only one who has a normal sleep schedule because her mom won't let her stay awake too late.
Mayhem thinks the family is stupid, but he loves them anyway. Sometimes.
Raph screamed when Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago kissed and everyone else worried.
Leo and Raph are basically the scene where Jake says “if I run at Terry he'll most likely catch me in his arms”. Raph would catch anyone else, but it's only Leo the one who throws himself at him.
April goes to the Lair almost everyday and complains about school with any of the boys. They always listen to her rants.
Leo figured out that he had adhd when April told him that she thought he had it. He never got the chance to get an actual diagnosis so he felt like he wasn't even if the sings were all there and he could see them.
Sunita found everyone a therapist at the Hidden City. Her name's Charlie and they all like her.
Donnie likes to threaten people he doesn't like. He also threatens Leo, but he doesn't actually mean them.
Because of being in contact with eachother when they were mutated, the turtles have traits of the other's species. That's why Donnie can go into his shell, why he has purple marks, why Raph's isn't as spiny as he should be, why their colors are different from the original species, etc.
Red eared sliders comunicate with vibrations, so Leo does this really low vibration thing when he feels happy, pleased or just when he's in a good mood that April calls purring no matter how much he complains about it.

Reader Description: He/him, adult, early 30s.
Pairings: Wanda Maximoff x Male!Reader
Warnings: Mentions of suicide, angst?
(Now now, i know i put out a poll. BUT i started writing this and... oh well enjoy :> I promise the next one will be a lighthearted Wandanat HS au eeekkk!!!!!)
Summary: America Chavez gave Wanda what she wanted, Wanda sees the love of her life again from another universe. However, her lover's variant already build a life without her...
Y/n sits on the sofa with a huff and turned on the TV to watch whatever was available on Netflix, "What a day..." he said to himself. He loved his new job, but of course like any other person he just needed some time alone.
He scrolled to the various crappy movies and series that he hadn't watch. Deciding that he just wanted something light, he put on a sitcom that he watched many times with his late wife a few years ago. It felt weird not watching it with her even until now, but he remembered how much his wife loved re-watching the sitcom over and over to the point where she could recite every single episode by heart.
Y/n smiled at the memory, when the two used to binge watch Brooklyn 99 at the common room of the compound. Wanda even got to the point where she hosted a 'Halloween Heist', but it ultimately stopped after two heist when Natasha won in less than 10 minutes, yes both heist. Honestly they should've known better than to have those kind of heist games with a well renowned international spy.
At least they still have a few rounds of 'Jimmy Jabs' games.
Except they dialed the extremeness to a 10 considering they were the Avengers. We don't have to get into details, but due to the techs that they have and the powers they own, things get very interesting quite quickly.
Well almost everything in his life was interesting, I mean he's surrounded by gods, witches, spies. Not a single day in his life was ordinary...
Including today, when a portal in the shape of a star appeared out of nowhere right in front of him. The portal it self did not shock him in the slightest. What did shock him though was the fact that the love of his life, his wife, his soulmate who died years ago, was now standing right in front of him in the flesh.
Y/n was speechless. Ever more so, the fact that Wanda was choking what it looks like no more than 14 year old girl. "Wanda, what are you doing?!"
"Y/n..." Wanda breathed out, her grip on the girl loosen. The 14 year old girl then fell to the gasping for air. "I- I didn't..."
Y/n stood up from the couch, he couldn't move. His dead wife was alive right before his eyes, either she had rise from the dead or... well, there was only one other possibility.
She was from another universe.
No doubt in his mind that she was. In Y/n's universe, they knew the existence of the multiverse. "I just wanted to see you again." Wanda said with teary eyes.
Being a former SHIELD agent, he was quick to piece the puzzle together. This Wanda must be from a Universe where he had died. He tried to stay calm for her, even though inside, seeing Wanda again brought back so many memories. Happy ones, but most notably the painful one.
Particularly, a memory of the day he lost her.
Wanda noticed that Y/n had been silent the whole time, she hung her head in shame. "I'm a monster..."
Y/n's heart broke at her words. "No... Lyubov, don't say that." He approached her slowly and gently lifted her chin so her eyes meets his.
Gazing into the eyes of the woman he loves that died years ago was something that would never have crossed his mind. It took every, by that I mean EVERYTHING in his power to not breakdown right in front of her.
Little did he know Wanda felt the same, however the difference was her wound was still fresh. Staring into his beautiful eyes again, it broke her. Wanda broke down and pulled him into a hug, taking in everything she could.
His scent, his warmth, his comfort.
She cried on to his shoulders, and Y/n simply held her. It felt good, really good. To be in his arms again. To have Y/n hold her like he used too.
“I miss you, so much." She told him between sobs.
"I miss you too." Y/n responded. Wanda pulled back and rested her forehead against his with her eyes closed. The two stayed like that for a little while, yet the question still lingers in Y/n's mind. Why was Wanda choking an innocent little girl?
It seems like his mind is louder than he thought as Wanda answered the question. "I... When you died, I couldn't- I couldn't move on." She told him hesitantly as she opened her eyes. Fear and guilt painted over her face as she thought of the potential reactions she would get from Y/n.
He glanced at the 14 year old girl behind her, Wanda noticed the way his eyes shifted. She felt the need to explain herself, he deserved to know the truth. To know the extent she went just to be with her lover again.
"I... I chased down, America Chavez. She was the key..." He shifted his eyes back to hers. Key?? "I tried to-" The words got stuck in her throat. "I tried to kill her..." She cried, hanging her head in shame. Y/n's eyes widen at her words.
Wanda... a killer? How bad was her universe treating her to the point where she goes to that extent??
An embrace, was the last thing Wanda had expected to receive from him. She expected a look of disappointment, shame, anger, yet all he did was simply pulled her into a hug.
"I understand."
That was when Wanda started crying against his chest. He was taller, so he kissed the top of her head lovingly. With her ears pressed against his chest, she could listen to his heartbeat. It was the calmest sound she hasn't heard in a while.
"I... I lost you, In my universe. I understand how you feel." Y/n remembered the day Wanda sacrificed herself for the soul stone. After the battle he begged, begged the Avengers to use the stones to bring her back. To have her in his arms again. To hold her...
Wanda felt his emotions. Anger, sadness, grief, Wanda felt it all as memory of her own death came back flooding his mind like a tidal wave. She held him tighter, knowing that he needed this just as much as she does. After a long while, they pulled back resting their foreheads against each other. Both with tears streaming down their eyes.
Wanda cupped his face, she felt Y/n leaning to her touch. When they gazed into each other once again, Wanda, without a second thought, pulled him down for a kiss.
Y/n reciprocated just as quick. Wanting to feel her soft lips after 4 long years. He missed it. Her soft touches, the taste of her lips, her beautiful voice. He missed her so dearly.
Wanda wrapped her arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. Holding onto his figure almost desperately. They held onto each other as they poured all the love they couldn't express with words through their actions.
After a long while, Wanda broke the kiss. "Let's not leave each other again."
Y/n clenched his jaw, he moved his hand from her waist to her face, caressing it. "I want that, more than anything..."
Wanda smiled, a genuine smile that she haven't had for the longest time. Yet... she noticed a hint of hesitation on Y/n's part. "What is it, love?"
He had to tell her, but he didn't know how. Y/n could tell she was broken, broken beyond repair that she goes to this extent. He doesn't know how to break the news to her. "Wands... I want you back, more than anything."
Slowly her smile fades. God he wishes he could bring it back.
"But... you can't stay here..."
That shattered Wanda's heart, "W-why?" Did he not love her just as much? He was a variant of her lover yes, but surely they would share the same love. Did he find someone else?? "What makes you say that?" She asked, from the tone of her voice Y/n could tell his words broke her heart.
"You can't... stay in my universe. And I can't- I can't stay in yours."
"W-why?"
"It would cause an incursion. It will destroy my universe and maybe even yours. I can't let that happen, Wands. I'm sorry." He told her gently while caressing her cheeks.
Her eyes started to pool again as she leaned to his touch. "Why... Why does it have to be like this- Why is the universe to cruel..."
Y/n wanted so badly to erase her sadness, her grief, to see her beautiful smile again. "If I was as powerful as you, I would've ventured across the multiverse for you. But, I'm just a human. The only thing I could do was... move on."
Move on
The word echoes in her head. Y/n had moved on. She looked at him in disbelief. "Move on?" Wanda breathed out.
Y/n clenched his jaw again, "Move on isn't the right word. You will always have a special place in my heart, but... I couldn't stay like that forever. I'm sorry, Wanda." He remembered the countless times he almost took his life, just to be with her again.
Wanda was... angry? Sad, heartbroken, deep down she understood. If she had died, she would've wanted him to live on. The same way her Y/n told her too. Yet part of her was still corrupted. How can he move on so quickly when she would destroy everything just to be with him again?
Anger was boiling inside her, before she could ask any further, they heard a little girl's voice. "Daddy?" Wanda was shocked to her core. Y/n... has a daughter.
Y/n quickly wiped his tears and turned around to face the 4 year old girl. "Heyy pumpkin." The little girl ran over to her father as he bent down to pick her up. "What are you doing up this late huh?" He asked her.
"Bad dream..." The little girl said while rubbing her eyes, yet it was clear she was still sleepy. Y/n turn to face Wanda with a gentle smile as he held his daughter.
Wanda was speechless, the sight... warmed her shattered heart. She was happy for him, but devastated that he had built a life... without her. The thought of Y/n having a kid, a family with someone else felt like a stab in her heart.
"Who's that?" The little girl asked, pointing at Wanda who was standing a few centimeters away from them with her hand on her chest. Trying so hard not to burst into tears.
Shit... how should he say this. "Honey, this is..." He wanted his daughter to know. But, she was too young. "...a very dear friend of mine. She has magical powers and came to visit me."
'Dear friend', so Wanda truly is out of his life.
The little girl waved at Wanda. "Hello!"
"Hi..." Wanda whispered. She wanted to hold the little girl. Wanda felt some sort of connection with her that she couldn't quite pin. It seems like the little girl felt the same as she leaned towards Wanda with grabby hands. Y/n took a few steps closer to Wanda, slowly.
"I think she wants to be held by you." Y/n said, looking at his daughter lovingly.
"May I?" Wanda asked, glancing at him. He nodded and gently moved his daughter onto Wanda's arms. The first thing the little girl did was reach up to touch her crown while giggling. “Oh-“
The action caused Wanda to laugh a little too. His daughter is beautiful. She definitely has her father’s hair. But her facial features probably leaned more towards her mother, whoever it is. Probably someone she knew as the little girl looked so... familiar.
“Magic?” The little girl asked.
Wanda smiled gently as she hovered her hand in front of the little girl. She projected a tiny rabbit that hopped around her hand, causing the little girl to giggle while clapping her hand. The bunny hopped around the little girl as well before disappearing into a red mist.
Unbeknownst to Wanda, Y/n doing everything in his powers not to break down at the sight before him. “Are you friends with my mama?
Wanda didn’t know how to answer that. “Um…”
“My daddy says my mama has magic powers, like you!” The little girl explained.
“Has your Mama talked about me?” Wanda asked, trying to keep her voice steady. The only other person who she know was a witch is Agatha.
"No..." The little girl said sadly. "Dad says she's somewhere up there." She pointed at the ceiling, Wanda understood what she meant. "He said we'll visit her one day!"
"Oh... I see." Well, what was she supposed to say. The little girl then played with her crown again, and Wanda lets her. Loving smile plastered on her face. It seems like the little girl was studying her face as well??
"You look a little bit like her?" Y/n's daughter blurted out. Could it be? No it can't be. "My mama had brown hair though, yours is red."
Deciding she didn't want to get her hopes up, she asked the girl a question. Hoping to steer the subject. "What's your name?"
"Wanda." The little girl answered, she was too pre occupied with Wanda's crown to notice the shift in Wanda's expression. "My daddy says my mama has the same name too." The little girl added.
Oh... It all makes sense now. The connection she felt toward the little girl.
Wanda finally glanced at Y/n who had a sorrow look plastered across his face. That was when she finally noticed the difference, this Y/n indeed looked much much older than the one from her universe. Her heart stammering in her chest. This wasn't just Y/n's daughter... It's their's.
Y/n approached the two of them, they didn't know how long time had passed. Probably a while, as little Wanda had decided to nestle on the crook of her mother's neck with her eyes closed. Wanda searched Y/n's eyes for explanation.
"You-" He corrected himself, "Her mother, had complications with pregnancy." He explained while tucking a hair behind his daughter's ear, watching her sleeping form with a small smile. "So, Tony made us an artificial womb to carry this little devil."
Wanda looked at his- her daughter's sleeping form. It felt surreal.
"But uh..." His voice cracked slightly, "Wanda and I got sent on a mission, to bring everyone back from the snap. We won... but I lost her." It was clear that the memory brought so much pain to him. "Not long after that this little bug was born. Wanda... never got to meet her. So I named her after her mother."
No wonder the girl looked familiar, she had took on most of Wanda's facial feature. Her nose, her face structure, but most notably her eyes. She looked exactly like how she was when she was younger.
"I would never forget you, Wanda." He whispered so only she could hear. Wanda glanced at Y/n who had tears in his eyes.
Wanda was at lost for words, the only thing she could came up with was. "She has your hair."
Y/n chuckles, "Yeah... that's kind of the only thing she got from me." He had a longing look as he stared at little Wanda holding onto her mother. A sight he wished he could've seen with his Wanda, but she was taken away from him before she could ever meet her own daughter. "I was lost for days, but then when she was born I-" He stopped himself, trying to find the right words. "I had to be strong, for her sake."
Y/n slowly wrap his arms around the two of them, the sight of the family was perfect. America, who had been watching their whole conversation was touched by the image. To see the contrast of how Wanda used her powers in front of her daughter. How tender she was, the power that caused so much chaos to be used in such a gentle way. It reminds her a little bit of her own mothers.
"If she wasn't here I-" Y/n's words got stuck in his throat, "I think I would've..." Yet Wanda knew what he meant, her heart shattered for him.
"Y/n..." Wanda closed the distance and rested their foreheads once more with their daughter sleeping soundly on her shoulder.
They stayed there for a few minutes, just enjoying the warmth from each other. Wanting so badly to be the perfect family that they could've been if the universe wasn't so cruel. Another thought creeped into his mind, how was he supposed to explain this to their daughter when she remembers?
Surely it was probably because of sleepiness that she couldn't properly remember her mother's face. But she has seen multiple pictures of her mother, how was he supposed to explain that this Wanda was a variant.
His thoughts was so loud that Wanda could hear it clearly. "It's ok." She said, giving him a reassuring smile. Wanda raised her hand slowly, little red mist emitting from the tip of her fingers. She tapped their daughter's temple ever so gently. Causing little Wanda to nestle further into her neck with a faint smile.
"Rest your head and go to sleep, little one. When you wake up, this will all just be a dream." Wanda whispered.
"Hey, pumpkin. Time to wake up." Wanda Y/l/n, slowly opened her eyes. She yawned and stretched her arms. Her father was smiling softly at her, she sat up on her bed and rubbed her eyes.
"I had a dream..." The little girl told her father. Unknown to her, Y/n tensed slightly.
"Was was it about?" He asked.
"Mama came to visit us instead." The little girl didn't understand why, but she felt extremely sad as she started to cry. Y/n was quick to pull her into a hug.
"Shhh... It's ok little one, don't you cry." He held his daughter as she cried in his arms. "Everything's gonna be alright."
"Why couldn't she stay?"
He thinks for a second before answering, "I know mommy's not here right now, but I promise she's gonna be alright."
And if you ask me to, daddy's gonna buy you a mockingbird. Imma give you the world. Imma buy a diamond ring for you, Imma sing for you, I'd do anything for you To see you smile

better together - matt boldy
word count: 4.6k words
requested?/inspired by this! my first time writing for boldy🫣 i hope it’s good enough lol and if it is.. i officially write for matt boldy!
Tumblr media
You had gone through a lot in your life. A statement your brothers would call you dramatic for saying but you always argued that you had a point. It was tough enough growing up with three brothers, two older and one being your twin, but with all of them being top prospects, you seemed to fall through the cracks.
The Hughes family was America’s favourite. They adored your brothers, of course, and your parents as well. You stayed out of most interviews, only ever being mentioned but not for long, not before it was forgotten in favour of Jack’s newest record.
Growing up, Quinn was always the one who stuck up for you. He made sure you were included or that Jack and Luke weren’t teasing you too much. Quinn was the one who helped clean up the scrape you got on your knee when Jack pushed you aside in order to get the ball in whatever silly game you were playing, he was also the one who wiped away your tears when Johnny, your grade 6 boyfriend, found a new girlfriend at his summer camp, leaving you in the dust.
And it wasn’t that Jack and Luke weren’t good brothers per say, they just didn’t exactly realize that you were different since you were a girl. You wanted to play dress up and barbie’s while they wanted to play hockey and wrestle. It didn’t even matter though because eventually, once you all grew up, it was much easier to hang out and be friends with each other.
However, that wasn’t the case until a couple years ago, things actually shifted when Jack started playing in New Jersey. Before that, things were just different, you were just Jack Hughes’ little sister and that’s exactly how everyone treated you.
2018
“Can I come?” You asked hopefully.
“Uh no… you’re too young” Jack said, leaving you out of plans as per usual. It wasn’t like you desperately needed to join in on their plans. They were going to a movie, one that you could just watch at home but… you hated to be left out.
“But Luke is going, we’re literally twins” Jack just shrugged and you looked around helplessly at the group, hoping one of them would feel bad for you and coax Jack into letting you come. Trevor and Cole just looked at you, smiling pitifully before grabbing their coats. You whined as the left with Luke following after, not even sparing you a glance.
“I’ll bring you back some sour patch kids” Alex smiled, patting your head as he left. Alex was definitely your favourite.
And if Alex was your favourite, Matt Boldy was your least. He was actually the person who came closest to you despising. Matt was supposedly a nice guy, that’s what your mom said at least. ‘He’s such a sweet kid’ if only you had a dollar for every time you heard that.
If Matt was a nice kid, he sure liked to fool you. He laughed at every joke made at your expense, usually by Jack. For the most part, Jack’s friends were nice. Cole would always say hi to you, even ask how you day was sometimes. Patrick and Trevor would talk to you whenever they came over and you appreciated it, even if they were only doing it to be polite. Alex was the only one who spent time with you, probably since he actually lived in your house. The two of you would have movie nights and you were working your way through Brooklyn 99 together; Alex was your friend, maybe not as much as he was Jack’s but you still claimed him as a friend anyway.
Every memory you had of Matt Boldy was a sour one, he had never explicitly talked to you, maybe the odd comment but he usually just ignored you which you used to hate but now, you considered yourself lucky.
“Y/n’s going out with a boy” Luke laughed as he clamoured down the stairs while you chased after him, yelling for him to keep it quiet. It was bad enough that he found out about your date but now he was running his mouth to Jack? It was so against your twin code.
“No she’s not” Jack snickered and you crossed your arms when you rounded the corner to find him and his friends sprawled out on the couches.
“Oh yeah, that Max guy from my team. They’re going to the movies” Luke sang, teasing you while you pouted, marching over to sit next to Alex who shoved Trevor over to make room for you.
“Baby Hughes got a date?” Matt asked in a tone that made it sound absurd that you actually found someone to go out on a date with you. I mean, if you could even call it that, you were only 15 so your mom still had to drive you there, it was hardly a date.
“Baby Hughes is all grown up” Trevor says despite only knowing you for a few months.
“Is this some sort of bet or something? Emma was telling me about a book where they made a bet that he couldn’t make the weird girl fall in love with him…” Matt asked but was cut off when Alex threw a pillow at his head.
“Dude are you still talking?” Alex Turcotte, everyone. You smiled gratefully at Alex who patted your head in response, he reminded you of Quinn, that’s definitely why you stuck around him.
Long story short, Matt Boldy hated you and you hated him for it. Sorry, you strongly disliked him, your mom didn’t appreciate you saying you hated people.
2019
When Jack’s friends all returned to Michigan for their second year of the program, you had vowed to be a changed woman. You still spent time with Alex and when Luke was busy with hockey, you found yourself spending more time with Jack, something you hadn’t expected. However, Quinn told you that it was because Jack realized he would be leaving soon so he was trying to get all his ‘baby sister time’ in now.
You didn’t mind, you loved it actually. More time with Jack meant more time with his friends and you weren’t upset about that either; Cole and Trevor were actually nice and you accredited it to you being older but they seemed to want to talk to you now. In spite of that, your relationship with Matt didn’t change , not that you wanted it to. He didn’t make the jokes anymore but that was probably because you were closer with the rest of the boys now so they wouldn’t laugh, only tell him to knock it off which ruined the fun for him.
“I don’t understand how you don’t like him, he’s so nice” Quinn said one day over lunch. You went to Ann Arbor with Luke and your mom. They went to look around the campus or something but you decided to go see your oldest brother instead.
“Not to me” You huffed.
“Maybe he has a crush on you” Quinn was laughing before he even finished your sentence. You weren’t sure if it was because of the twisted face you pulled or just the sheer idea of Matt Boldy liking you… both were equally ridiculous to you.
“Quintin please, I’m trying to eat here”
2020
The first year that Jack played in the NHL was weird. It was weird that it was only you and Luke left in the house, Quinn had been gone for a while and even if he was only in Ann Arbor, he was still out of the house. The only sense of normality in 2020 was when everyone gathered at the Hughes lake house.
After being quarantined and many, many tests, everyone was finally able to fly in and since they all arranged for their training to be together, the lake house was full again.
This summer, you got even closer with some of the boys but Matt didn’t let up, especially when he found out about Josh.
“Quinn met Josh last week” You told Alex.
“And? Did he get Huggy’s stamp of approval?” He asked a bit louder than you would’ve liked.
“Did who get my stamp of approval?” Quinn asked as he sat down next to you.
“Josh, ‘boyfriend Josh’” Alex used air quotes, making sure Quinn, and everyone else sitting around the fire, know exactly who he was talking about.
“Ohhh yeah boyfriend Josh is quite the guy” Quinn nodded, taking a long sip of his beer.
“You said you liked him!”
“Wait… who’s boyfriend Josh?” Jack asked.
“Well I think… I think he’s Y/n’s new boyfriend” Trevor grinned before Jack smacked the back of his head.
“Y/n has a boyfriend?” Matt smirked and you rolled your eyes, huffing as you fall back into the couch, annoyed that your relationship has now become a point of conversation with your older brother’s friends.
“Jealous?” You smile smugly which makes Matt grimace.
“Anyways… why haven’t I met boyfriend Josh?” Jack turns to you.
“Can we stop calling him boyfriend Josh?” You groan.
“No pouting!” Luke yells at you as he walks into the room and you roll your eyes, wiggling out from under Alex’s arm to sit up straight.
“No we can’t because then Josh will get confused and think we’re talking about him” Trevor pointed out, motioning over to Josh Norris who’s head raises from looking at his phone.
“I think Josh can pick up on context clues”
“Hold on… our Josh or boyfriend Josh? See? This is already confusing” Trevor shook his head and his question made all the boys start laughing.
“I hate you all” You groan and Quinn throws his arm around you, pulling you into his side.
“Boyfriend Josh is very nice and he’s good for Y/n/n… let’s drop it so that Trev doesn’t strain his brain from thinking too hard”
Jack met your boyfriend later that summer, everyone did actually. You had a few friends come to the lake house for your birthday in August.
“So he is real” You were already regretting this decision and Josh had only been here for five minutes.
“Guys, this is Josh” You took a deep breath, as soon as you uttered the words to Jack and Luke, you head ten sets of steps coming down the hallway.
“Boyfriend Josh!” Trevor exclaimed.
“I didn’t think he was real” Matt mumbled and Patrick elbowed him in the ribs.
“I’m sorry in advance” Alex stepped forward and gave Josh a little bro handshake. They met over facetime a few times, only because you were too scared to tell your brothers at that point.
“Josh, good to see you man” Quinn gave him a little handshake as well and you smiled, it made you happy that Quinn liked him.
The rest of the guys introduced themselves and you only rolled your eyes once when Matt made an off handed comment but Josh squeezed your hand to insure you that it didn’t bother him in the slightest which did help you relax. Other than the pest, the guys were more than welcoming to Josh and despite still calling him ‘boyfriend Josh’ throughout the week, they actually seemed to like him.
2021
This year, you were fresh off a graduation and there was nothing standing in the way of your last summer before college. You were going to the University of Michigan, of course, and you finally didn’t feel like you were that much younger than the rest of your friends.
Josh came back to the lake house this summer, a year into your relationship and it was stronger than ever. The guys welcomed him back and you were glad it seemed to work effortlessly. There were a few girlfriends in attendance this year which you loved, more girls to hang out with was always fun and it also helped keep some of the boys in check.
You spent most of the summer laying around in Josh’s arms, talking about your futures. It was the perfect summer of doing absolutely nothing.
“We should just stay here forever” Josh mumbled and you smiled.
“I’m sure Quinn would love that” Your group had now migrated from your family’s lake house to the new one Quinn and Jack bought together in Michigan. It was much bigger and much fancier, making it obvious that it was the product of two NHL salaries.
Josh laughed, “But seriously, I don’t want to leave you” He was going to Duke for basketball, something you both knew was happening but had chosen to ignore for the past year.
“I know, I don’t want to either” You sigh loudly.
“But we’ll always have this right? This summer was just for us” Josh mumbled and you nodded. This year was the first summer that wasn’t ruined by Matt.
2022
“So, where’s boyfriend Josh?” Trevor asked as he shoved Mackie’s arm away from your shoulders and replaced it with his own. This year, you and Luke’s friends (aka his hockey team) made it to the house and it was definitely a change of pace for you compared to your last two summers.
“Ex-boyfriend Josh” You said quietly.
“EX?” Trevor yelled and all heads turned your way. “When we’re you planning on telling us?”
“I didn’t realize I had to send out a notification to half the league that my boyfriend dumped me” You scoffed.
Eddy came up and pulled you away from Trevor, putting his arms around you protectively. “Y/n/n is better off without him” You smiled while patting his arms. Eddy was your best friend at school which meant he practically went through the break up with you.
“Did he hurt you? Because I swear-” Cole started but Jack’s laughter cut him off.
“Dude what are you going to do?” Patrick asked, “Plus I don’t think Y/n/n needs even more guys to defend her” He motioned to Eddy who smiled happily.
“Nothing happened. He’s at Duke and… I don’t know, long distance sucks” You shrugged. There wasn’t a sad, terrible story. That was it, he moved away and as hard as you tried to make it work, it just wasn’t in the cards for you two.
“Well fuck that guy!” Trevor yelled.
“Yeah, hot girl summer, right?” Alex asked, sending you a smile.
“Don’t ever talk about my baby sister having a hot girl summer, Turcs” Quinn said, a shiver going down his spine.
“He’s not saying she has to fu-”
“Nope! We’re done, let’s go Y/n/n” Quinn pulls you away and you’re laughing loudly.
“Where’s… what’s his name? Boyfriend John?” Matt asked as he sat in the lounger next to you, looking at you instead of the lakefront view that your brother’s house offered.
“What is everyone’s obsession with Josh?” You groaned. To be fair, he did just get here a couple hours ago, clearly missing the whole boyfriend update conversation.
“God… sorry for asking” Matt huffed sarcastically.
“No it’s fine… we just broke up so no more boyfriend Josh” You were too busy staring down at your hands to notice Matt’s eyes flicker over to you quickly.
“Oh uh sorry”
“It’s fine, you don’t have to do that” You brushed it off, “I’m not heartbroken or anything”
“I know” He said simply, “You’re not the type to be heartbroken over some guy, let alone a basketball player” Matt made himself laugh and while you weren’t exactly laughing as well, you’d be lying if you said you didn’t chuckle.
“Hey there’s nothing wrong with basketball players” You defended weakly, not like there was any reason to put up a fight anymore.
“Yeah okay” Matt snickered. You weren’t even sure why he was sitting out here and talking to you since all of his friends, that he hadn’t seen in months, were inside but yet he chose to sit out here with you, the girl he’s hated for years now.
“Are you going to stay out here and make fun of me all night or..?”
Matt laughed, “Nah I’m going don’t worry” You watched as he got up and grabbed his phone off the chair, “Just to be clear, I’m not making fun of you, I never was” You didn’t have time to answer because as soon as his words registered he was gone, the door already sliding closed behind him.
The energy shifted over the next few days, Matt was a lot more tolerable and even though his teasing had lessened over the past year or so, it was odd. He would stay quiet, even passing up the easy chirps that would wouldn’t necessarily mind. He also started talking to you more, although anything more than a sentence would be considered ‘more’.
It didn’t go unnoticed either. When Matt chose the seat near you during the fire, Alex raised an eyebrow at you, questioning what was going on. When you were the one who was ordered to grab more drinks, Matt offered to help which made almost everyone wonder what was going on. Luckily, no one said anything.
Everything was going fine. You and Matt weren’t friends but you also weren’t fighting, something Quinn and Alex claimed was a good thing.
Maybe it would’ve been, if you didn’t go and screw it all up during his last week in Michigan. He was one of the first ones to leave, having to be back in Minnesota earlier than usual. The boys weren’t going to let him go without a party though so the whole week leading up to his departure was spent getting absolutely shitfaced every night, not like that was different from any other week.
You should’ve turned away the tequila shots Trevor was bringing around, or maybe the concoction Eddy mixed for you was the thing you couldn’t recover from but whatever it was, you should’ve stopped long before you did.
“Matthew!” You drunkenly shouted, pointing at Matt who was smiling carelessly.
“Don’t call me Matthew, Y/n”
“I’ll do what I want” You pouted dramatically.
Matt laughed, “What’s up?” He fell down onto the patio couch beside you, landing a little closer than originally planned but he blamed it on the alcohol.
“Why do you hate me?” Alcohol made you very forward.
“I don’t hate you”
“Okay… why did you hate me”
“I never hated you” He smiled, “I don’t think anyone could ever hate you”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” You’re pretty sure your words were running into each other, coming out as a slurred mess but Matt still understood.
“You’re Y/n Hughes, that’s what that means” It didn’t make sense but he was too drunk to try and explain it any further.
“You’re so stupid” You laugh, throwing your head back onto the back of the couch but it actually ends up on Matt’s arm since it’s extended behind you.
“Let’s go be stupid together” Matt whispered, almost quiet enough that you didn’t hear him. You weren’t sure how the conversation went from 0-100 so quickly but you also didn’t really mind.
A beat of silence passes before you think of anything to say, “Fine… but you’re making me breakfast tomorrow” It was your drunken compromise but Matt accepted it without hesitation.
“Yep, let’s go”
You woke up in the morning with the alcohol gone from your body, as were your clothes. Well, the clothes weren’t exactly gone, they were just strewed around Matt’s bedroom along with his.
You weren’t sure what your plan of attack would be. If you should pretend to be sleeping or just sneak out of the room. Although you weren’t exactly sure what happened last night so staying ‘asleep’ might be your best option; you didn’t exactly feel like getting chirped non-stop at 9 in the morning while Matt slept soundly.
You felt him move and then his arm tightened around your waist, pulling you into him which made your eyes bulge. You squirmed which must have been enough to wake him up because you could feel him moving around more now.
“Oh fuck me” He groaned as you winced.
“Pretty sure I took care of that already” You whispered and you heard him sigh. “So…”
“Ugh Jack’s gonna kill me” Matt moved around some more and his voice sounded muffled so you assumed his face was shoved into the pillow.
“Seriously? We’re in bed and the first thing you think of is my brother?” You scoff, rolling away from Matt but he pulls you back even faster.
“Sorry, hi how’s it going” You twisted around to face him just to find his little smirk present and it made you want to roll your eyes.
“How’s it going? Really?”
“You’re a pain in my ass” Matt groaned and you smiled.
“That’s not very nice Matthew”
“Don’t call me Matthew” He said quickly which made you grin.
“I believe I was promised breakfast Matthew” You flipped around, moving away from him. He said something under his breath but got up anyway. You reached for your phone, scrolling through some notifications while you waited for him to come back. You weren’t even hungry really, you just didn’t want to be the first one to leave the room and… you wanted to see if he’d actually bring you breakfast.
Matt returned a while later with two bowls in his hands. He kicked the door closed and jumped onto the bed, passing you a bowl of scrambled eggs.
“I hope you enjoy those, I went through a lot for them” You raise an eyebrow at him, silently prompting him to explain. “Alex and Trevor were in the kitchen… they had some questions”
“Ew please don’t tell me you told them” The thought of Jack’s friends knowing about your night with Matt was so gross.
“Well no… I-” He was interrupted by the door banging open.
“Yo lovebirds, we’re leaving in 5 let’s go” You glared at Trevor who was grinning at the door. “Oh and Jack wants to talk to you” Trevor skipped away, skillfully dodging the pillow you threw at him.
“I’m dead, totally dead” Matt groaned.
“I can handle Jack, don’t worry” You took your time getting ready before pulling Matt downstairs with you.
“Jack is going to kill you” Alex said when he saw the two of you entering the kitchen.
“Dude, I was drunk” Matt complained and it made you freeze.
“Is that all it was?”
“Well… yeah, isn’t it?” Your mind blanked as heat flushed your entire body.
You backed away, feeling your heart pounding harder with each passing second. “You know what? I’m not gonna go out today, I’m not feeling great” Your eyes darted from Matt to Alex who was now giving you a sympathetic look. You couldn’t stand it so you spun around and sped out of the kitchen and back upstairs, locking yourself in your room, leaving a confused Matt and furious Alex alone in the kitchen.
“What the hell was that?” Matt asked, looking to Alex for answers.
“Bro…” Alex trailed off, leaving the kitchen while shaking his head.
Matt spent all day thinking about it. About you, about what he said. It wasn’t just a drunken hookup, he liked you. He had liked you for years now and he finally thought it was time that things could work out for the two of you. At first, you were too young, you weren’t looking for a boyfriend, let alone your brother’s friend who was two years older than you. Then you started dating boyfriend Jason… John… Josh! Yeah boyfriend Josh was a problem for a couple years and now that you were finally single, Matt thought it was perfect timing.
But then he opened his big stupid mouth and ruined everything. You were still in your room when they got back from the lake and you didn’t come out for dinner. Quinn went up to check on you and deliver some food but nobody else had seen you.
“What happened?” Quinn asked when he came to sit next to you on you bed.
“I slept with Matt”
“Okay…” Quinn was still waiting for the details that made you spend a perfectly good day of summer locked inside.
“You’re not mad?”
“Why would I be? You’re an adult, you can do what you want”
You laughed, “Barely, I’m not even legal”
You’re 19, that’s how old Jack was when he moved out and you’re way more responsible than he was” You wanted to correct him and remind him that Jack was only 18 but you didn’t think it was important.
“True”
“So what happened? Did he do something?”
“No, nothing like that” You could see Quinn visibly relax, “I just… I thought it meant something, I don’t know. Then he told Alex this morning that it was just because he was drunk but really I only have myself to blame because it’s not like he even liked me, it was just in my head and now I feel stupid” Quinn let you ramble, patiently waiting for you to finish before starting his lecture.
“Don’t feel stupid, I understand what you’re saying but also think about it from his side. I’ve been in this type of situation and after I hooked up with this girl-” You interrupt him quickly.
“Ew, Quintin!” You equaled, covering your ears in attempt to shut out his gross hook up stories.
“Shut up, let me finish” He laughed, pulling your hands down. “As I was saying, we had a bit of a miscommunication after and it ended up that we wanted the same thing so really it was all for no reason” Quinn tried to explain as best he could without sharing too much. “I think you should talk to him, have a grown up conversation about it and see what he has to say”
“Okay” Quinn was always right. You trusted him with anything really so when he gave you advice, you always followed it.
You went down to find Matt later that night, slipping out of the house to grab him from the patio where he was sitting with Cole. “Hey” You lightly touched his arm to get his attention and his head whipped around to look at you.
“Hey, are you okay?” He asked with concern filling his eyes.
“Yeah… can we talk?” He nodded and got up, following you back inside to the empty living room, sitting down next to you on the couch.
“I’m sorry” You both said and the same time which made you laugh quietly.
“You first” Matt motioned for you to go ahead.
“I freaked out when you said that it meant nothing to you because… I thought it did but I should’ve asked you and not just assumed you felt the same way. I’m sorry, it wasn’t really fair and it was really immature”
“It did mean something to me. I just said that it didn’t because I didn’t think you wanted it…” Ugh why was Quinn always right?
“Really?” You asked, wanting to make sure he was telling the truth.
“I’ve been crazy about you for a few years now so yeah, really” You bit back a smile when Matt grinned widely at you.
“A few years?” You ask and he nods, “Cradle robber” Matt laughs loudly. “I’m kidding Matthew, don’t worry”
“Stop calling me Matthew” He complained which made you smirk.
“Never” You leaned forward to kiss him quickly but his hands found your waist and held you there for longer.
“Gross, get a room” Quinn teased as he walked into the house. Matt’s eyes went wide, scared of what your brother would say or do. Quinn noticed his expression and laughed, “I don’t care Boldy, just worry about Jack” Quinn walked to the kitchen and returned with a new beer, “But don’t hurt my baby sister…”
“Don’t plan on it” Matt smirks, kissing you again when Quinn leaves.

Your post abt how male victim sa is treated as a joke in media really resonates w/ me. like i dont watch drama tv shows, i watch like sitcom/comedy stuff and so its extra apparent to me in a way?
Because while in a drama tv show you can have both male and female sa victims, sitcoms will rarely if ever try to make jokes about female sa (or at least now anyway, i dont watch older sitcoms) they absolutely do make male sa jokes.
For example, in Parks and Rec theres this episode where April and Andy make a lot of doctors appointments in one day and in one part Andy is listing out all the doctors they've seen and Andy says like "One guy looked at my weiner, touched it, that was weird" and April says "And that guy wasn't even a doctor" and Andy says "...What" with an uncomfortable look on his face and then it just moves on.
And its supposed to be a funny haha moment but everytime I see that clip I get really uncomfortable bc like its never clarified if she was kidding or not but also why would you joke abt your husband being sa'd???
And thats just one example, theres plenty of others. (The whole thing with Barney and Rhonda French in HIMYM makes me super uncomfortable even tho its played as consensual, it gives me bad vibes)
But it feels like no one ever really cares to talk abt it, so it was nice to see someone bring it up. Sorry for the long ask 😅
The comedy I watch is normally yes about equal to Parks and Rec or Brooklyn 99 and yes, there's a lot of jokes that fly under the radar because they victimize one group or another that isn't seen as "in danger". The amount of prison rape and prostate exam (hinthint wink wink not performed by a doctor though teehee) jokes really stand out the more you pay attention to it. And maybe it IS time to pay attention to it, because clearly this is a symptom of a bigger issue, one that endangers everyone.
Going back to stuff I watch more of because I haven't seen more than a clip or two of HIMYM, but I remember when I was watching Buffy with my ex [then boyfriend] and he pointed out that Xander had a really good reason not to like Faith and it's because Faith rapes him (forced to penetrate) and how Xander really... never seemed to forgive her for it and always seemed uncomfortable around her after. And while I was not part of the fandom during the show's heyday, being that I am a relatively recent watcher only maybe about 6 or 7 years ago, he told me it was very frustrating to him that the fandom seemed to focus more on the wrongdoing of Spike's *attempt* to rape Buffy, than the *actual rape* Faith did to Xander.
Even with my Witcher example, I'm seeing people shipping Yennefer and Jaskier because they had a moderately improved friendship in season two, while not at ALL touching on the fact that Jaskier's first memory of her is a blatant sexual assault and maybe that's why he's increasingly aggressive to her every time they see each other for the remainder of season one and when seeing her again in season two. It's more than "he's somewhat jealous of her closeness with Geralt" when I know for a fact she pinned and grabbed him by the penis and I wouldn't fault anyone for not liking someone who grabbed their genitals without consent. I'm not yucking anyone's yum but it's really frustrating to me to see people skate right by that.
(again, books/games fans who follow/reblog, your faves are not immune, I present to you one Triss Merigold who rapes *Geralt himself* by means of a love potion in the books and who does it *again* in the games if you let her manipulate Geralt into sleeping with her when he has amnesia, do not even start with 'wehweh this is why the show sucks' when your favorite adaption did it too and Triss/Geralt is a possible romance path in the third game, AND Yennefer is mad at Geralt for... letting Triss rape him while they were together, because she considers it cheating, if you talk to her about it in the third game she dumps you in the lake to punish you for defending yourself)
Big sigh.

Hi there 😊
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I just had an idea for a particular scene today, so I decided to write about it. I’m taking a break from anything Red, White & Royal Blue related to focus on my current love and hyperfixation: Avatar the Last Airbender. I started watching the series last fall, and I haven’t been able to turn my mind off from it since then. Unsurprisingly, I quickly became obsessed with and fascinated by Zuko and Katara’s dynamic. They’ve become my muse lately. I’m working on a Zutara fanfic as we speak, and I’ll create a post about it once I get it up on AO3.
In the meantime, I wrote this very short scene. It takes place several months after the end of the 100 Year War. Zuko has made great progress as the Fire Lord, and Katara is now an Ambassador for the Southern Water Tribe. They’re in a committed and loving relationship at this point. I used some direct quotes from the Brooklyn 99 episode, “Chasing Amy.” This was initially meant to be a quick, humorous thing, but it turned into something sweeter (I have no regrets, heh). Full disclaimer: If you know anything about the reference to the B-99 scene, you’ll understand that Jake and Amy did have a significant moment of affection on that rooftop, whether it was technically love or not. As for Zuko and Katara, I personally don’t believe they were anywhere close to feeling love or deep affection in the Crystal Catacombs, but I think it’s the first time they truly connected on an emotional level.
Anyway, without further ado…
*****
After a long day of beginning preliminary discussions with the Earth King about the newest trade agreements among the Earth Kingdom, Southern Water Tribe, and the Fire Nation, Ambassador Katara snuck off for some alone time in Ba Sing Se. She managed to convince the Earth King to let her down into the Crystal Catacombs, even though most individuals in the city have been strictly prohibited from ever entering the area again. It’s still in the process of getting repurposed for better, more humane uses. She gave him some flimsy excuse as to why she wants to venture into the cavern. Despite the deep frown he gave her, he apparently didn’t question her motives, and had a couple of guards (thankfully, not the Dai Li) follow her to ensure that she made it there safely. She didn’t need the protection, of course, but she didn’t feel like arguing. She had told the Earth King not to let anyone else know where she was; she promised him that she’d be back to her guest house later.
Now, she finds herself back in the same spot that she was imprisoned with a then-banished Fire Prince.
Just as she runs a hand over one of the crystals, she hears soft footsteps behind her and turns around to find the love of her life.
The Fire Lord is dressed in his formal regalia, but he’s taken his crown off, and his top knot is undone, leaving his shaggy fringe hanging over his bright, golden eyes.
“There you are! Thank Agni,” he sighs in relief, drawing nearer.
A look of surprise flits across her face. “Hey, how did you find me?”
He raises his eyebrow at her. “Well, the Earth King didn’t want to tell me at first, but I figured it out. If I recall correctly, a long time ago, Master Katara and the banished Crown Prince Zuko were trapped under Ba Sing Se, in the Crystal Catacombs.” He gestures to their surroundings, and his lips quirk into a tiny smile. “This is where we were the night you fell in love with me.”
Katara snorts, shaking her head. She crosses her arms and gives him a half-hearted glare. “Zuko,” she warns, with just a bit of an edge to her voice.
“All right, fine. The night that you flirted with me for 20 seconds and I became obsessed with you forever,” he amends sheepishly, his cheeks flushing.
“That’s slightly more accurate.” She steps closer to him, so that there is barely any space between them. She reaches up toward his face, tracing her fingers over his scarred cheek.
“Are you okay?” he murmurs, automatically leaning into her touch.
“Yeah,” she answers softly. “I guess I just wanted to come back to see what it was like, now that things are so different.”
He swallows nervously, though he keeps his eye contact steady. “I understand. I kind of did, too, honestly. I hope…” he pauses, looking like he was choosing his words carefully. She waits patiently for him, and in the next moment, he continues, “I hope we can associate better memories with this place. They’ll never be perfect, of course, because of all the bad things that happened here before. But, maybe when we think of it from now on, it won’t be quite so grim.”
She nods before pulling him into her arms. He hugs her back with everything he has in him, pouring all of his affection and love, and apologies and regret into the gesture.
He lets her go briefly to press a kiss to her forehead. “Do you want to head back up?” he asks quietly, cradling her to his chest with his chin resting on top of her head. “We can probably explore more parts of the city before our next meeting, if you want to.”
She glances up at him and smiles. “Not yet. Let’s just stay a little while longer.”
He agrees and holds her, while the green crystals glow around them.
Yes, she thinks to herself, we’ll have better memories from now on.

Nessian = Peraltiago
@cassianappreciationweek
Day Four: Lover ⚔︎ Cassian has had many opportunities for love across Prythian — who do you ship him with? Nesta? Azriel? Eris? Lucien? Any and all ships are welcome!
I mean.... y'all should know this by now. I'm a Nessian girlie. I wrote my first fic in a fandom that's not Shadowhunters just because I needed more of them and my re-reading of Silver Flames wasn't enough.
To be honest, I definitely think Cass and Az, and maybe even Rhys, fooled around between them in their youth (see also: Constellations, chapter five), but in the present day, c'mon, Nessian is the only ship in my book.
And I do mean the only ship: those two have rocked my world in such a way that I can't help but see them everywhere—which takes us back to the title of this post: Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago from Brooklyn 99 are Cassian and Nesta.
First of all, a while ago, the B99 official YouTube account posted a video titled Jake & Amy but they get more and more kinky, and... do I really have to say it?
You just watch it and tell me they're not Cassian and Nesta. Change my mind.
Secondly, the chemistry between Peraltiago? The natural way they got together? The way they joke with each other but aren't afraid to call the other out on their bullshit? Their respect for the other's ethics and professionalism and character in general? The way they literally work together and train together and do everything together? The way they both grew up throughout the series and learned to love and respect each other even (and maybe especially) when they have different opinions? The way they learned how to communicate and work out the problems in their relationship?
That shit's Nessian 101, I tell you.
This post be kinda weird in the context of Cassian Appreciation Week, I'm perfectly aware of that, but I needed y'all to know what has been brewing in my mind for the past month, and if I can get even just one person to start B99, I'll be happy.
Nessian is OTP. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk, and if you fancy yourselves some fluffy, smutty Nessian, in addition to Madja slander and some sprinkled plot points for future installments in my fanon Maasverse, do check out Constellations on AO3. I'm planning a Nessian mating ceremony one-shot, too!

Got tagged by @cl4ssicist-sky for this several days ago and only had the time to get to it now! Thanks for the tag though! Really appreciate it!
Favorite Colour: Pink! I also like purple by association, and consider green to be a favourite too!
Last song: Can't remember exact songs, I didn't listen to much while my sister was over. There was a lot of music at my party but I don't remember exactly what... I did listen to my Nora playlist while going to pick her up from the airport. I often listen to so much different music lol, and I can jump from one type to another so quickly.
Last Movie: While my sister was visiting we watched Fern Gully, Robots, and one of the Sailor Moon movies (the one about Luna).
Currently Watching: Latest season of Young Sheldon, Ancient Magus Bride, and Yu-Gi-Oh. I think that's all rn? We also watch Helluva Boss as it comes out. Got a bunch of stuff on mental lists to watch or rewatch at some point, but haven't started yet.
Other Stuff I've Watched This Year: Mai Hime, Spy x Family, Sailor Moon Crystal, My Name is Earl, Brooklyn 99... Pretty sure we rewatched Scrubs and Steven Universe too this year? About half the stuff my partner and I watch are rewatches of shows we've already seen, since we usually throw them up while doing other things or just chilling and eating food.
Shows I Dropped This Year: I dunno. That's usually why we drop things, we just kinda forget we were watching them... I think we watched most of Star Trek Voyager again. Bunch of anime we've started and didn't continue as well.
Currently Reading: Fics and posts that people put out over the last week. Catching up still lol. No books atm, I got a pile that's been left alone for... a while... I need a new bookshelf...

8 shows to get to know me better. thanks for tagging me @castideans-pie (i know someone else has tagged me in this before so i’m sorry i didn’t do it back then 😬)
1. manifest - see i’ve been rewatching this in time for the new episodes and it just renewed my love for these characters in my silly little show. i was actually just watching it before i made this post. i love how there’s always a plot twist and how everything is connected. people and things i’ve forgotten about come back and tie up loose ends so perfectly. (btw fuck you angelina. if you watch the show you understand why i hate her).
2. supernatural - against my better judgement, but these guys have me in a chokehold. we’re all here though, so none of you can hold this against me.
3. pretty little liars - now this was like my teenage awakening. i have watched this show from start to finish at least 30 times. it’s still the background of my old ipad that i lost like 5 years ago. i love those girls with all my heart.
4. brooklyn 99 - a classic. every episode is fun and i am always thinking ‘hmm maybe it’s time for a rewatch’ even if i’d just finished rewatching it.
5. ginny and georgia - funny enough i don’t really like ginny that much, but this show is still really fucking good. if you haven’t watched it already, i definitely recommend it.
6. shameless - okay this probably should have gone at the top of my list but whatever. i’ve rewatched this show more times than i can count. mickey and ian my beloved. plus the whole gallagher family + kevin and veronica have my heart. i miss fiona. this show is a different level of insane.
7. new girl - this is one of those classic shows that never gets old. no matter what mood you’re in, you can watch this. i swear there isn’t one episode that doesn’t have me constantly laughing.
8. good girls - i’m not sure what can i say about this show. it’s one of those shows i didn’t think i’d watch, but i ended up loving. yet again, i’ve just finished my rewatch of this show whilst studying for exams. it got me through some really boring days.
if you can’t tell, i love rewatching my silly little shows. i’d much sooner rewatch an old show than attempt to start a new one, partly because my memory is terrible and i forget half the plot anyways.
thanks for reading all of this! maybe you should consider watching some of these if you haven’t already 👉👈

The Unmistake - Part Four
(I am giving up with the spacing, it is just being weird. The chapters from here on out should be just as long.)
We had sat down at a table and Austin was looking at me intently arms crossed across his chest as he leant back. “I’ve got to ask,” he said, “how is all this going to work?” I took a deep breath. “I don’t know Austin.”  He raked a hand through his hair. “I want to be involved.” He nodded as he said it, the truth in his words shining through. “But I don’t even live in this country. I’m only here for this project. We don’t even know each other; I don’t know how to make this work. It has all just happened so quickly.” I felt everything he was saying, I’d thought about it all. “Well, we can get to know each other?” I offered. He uncrossed his arms. “It’s a good idea. I’ll start,” he said. “My name is Austin Butler, I am 29, and I’m from California.” I giggled; this was very weird. “Okay,” I began, “My name is Lottie Green, I am 26, and I’m from London.”
Over the course of lunch, we literally interviewed each other which was strange but helpful. He told me more about the film he was working on and how he was playing Elvis Presley. I told him about my slightly crazed Catholic family and the mental family dog. Fair to say Austin’s part of our faux interview must have been much more interesting to me than mine was to him. But he listened politely the whole time looking interested and even paid for lunch. We kept it light-hearted and while I got to know him slightly better, our predicament was still the same: strangers with a baby on the way. He apologized that he was unable to take me home as ‘Baz’ was already repeatedly messaging him saying he was late 20 minutes ago and that if he didn’t show up asap, he was to be ‘fired’. I thought it was probably a joke, but Austin looked a bit put out, pouting quite cutely, so we said our goodbyes and he left me with a promise to text me tonight.
I couldn’t believe how calm I’d been so far considering the looming obstacle of telling my slightly crazed Catholic family that I was pregnant. Not only pregnant, but pregnant with a child of a man whom I was not married to, nor even in a relationship with. For the rest of the day, I wallowed around my flat eating shit, and watching Brooklyn 99. I considered whether this situation was enough to be disowned, but I reassured myself I could play it off as a gift from God, as I had always been told I was infertile. If that didn’t work, I suppose I could lie and say Austin was actually my boyfriend, but he had just been in America before now. I sat on the sofa double screening as I looked at my phone and the TV simultaneously. Then the doorbell went off.
I trudged to the door, thinking who the fuck is coming by my house at 11pm, and looked through the peephole to see if I was about to get murdered. Austin was standing there? How did he know where I lived? I opened the door to a guilty looking Austin, scratching his ear. “Hi Lottie.”                                                               “Hi, Austin?”                                                                                                                                                      “May I come in?”                                                                                                                                                                                   “Oh yeah sure, I was just a bit freaked out how you knew where I lived.”                                                                           “It was on the envelope of the letter.”                                                                                                                                                               “Right,”                                                                                                                                                                      “I just got off work,” Jeez just now? “And I was going to text you, but I thought this conversation ought to be done in person.” He was freaking me out, but I decided to cast it to the back of my mind and let him talk. “Okay.” I said and led him into my flat, mentally groaning at the state of it. “Want a drink? Tea, coffee, anything?”                                                                                                                             “A coffee would be great thanks.” Fiddling with his rings, sitting on the edge of my sofa, he looked very young. I went over to my small kitchen to make his drink. When I returned, he thanked me as I gave it to him. “So,” he started. “So.” I responded. “I wanted to start off by saying sorry.” He said, now I was even more confused. “For getting us into this mess,” he continued, “it was my shitty condom.” “Austin, gosh don’t be silly, it takes two, and anyways did you not read my big, long letter about how this is somewhat of a miracle to me.”                                                                                                                                     “I did, I did but still I am sorry. This situation is not…”                                                                                                                   “Ideal.” I finished. “I get it we are still practically strangers and, in a few months, we’re going to have a child together.” He nodded then paused, before continuing. “Well, we are only strangers because of how you left in the morning.” What? Seeing my furrowed brow, he explained. “I never intended us to be. When I met you, I didn’t have the intentions of this just being a one-night stand.” Oh. That took me by surprise. His honesty silenced me.
Austin then continued, “After the next scan I leave for Graceland for a week or so.”                                                            “Graceland?”                                                                                                                                                                                           “Elvis’s house is there in Memphis, Tennessee. Baz thinks it would be helpful to my performance to go and see the real deal.” I nodded. “I am trying to fix a flight so I can be back for the scan after next but I can’t be sure. This is my pre-warning that I might not be there.” While this was upsetting to hear, I was grateful he was giving me fair warning. He was trying, willing to even come round my house when he must be exhausted from work. The more I was around him the more I could see he was a good guy. “Who have you told?” he asked. I picked some fluff off the sofa cushion before answering, “No one.”                                                                                                                                              “Me either.” he replied quietly, we shared a small smile. “I’m going to tell people when I get back.” he said.                                                                                                                                                                     “Sounds good,” I responded. He finished the last of his coffee and then stood up.                                               “I better be going, sorry for coming round so late.”                                                                                                                                                                                                       “It’s fine Austin, I appreciate it.” We walked to the front door. He turned the handle. “I’ll see you Wednesday, Lottie. Call me if you need me.” He left with a smile and the flat got colder.
Part 6
Austin was still in Graceland. Recently he had been messaging me frequently, checking up on me, sending me various articles on pregnancy, asking what my symptoms were. Just being there for me in general. I am led to believe this started after the last scan he was at because he had heard all the doctor had said about me ending my first trimester. It was all feeling a lot more real. I was just looking forward to not having morning sickness every day. The scan after, that Austin had missed, was weird. I’d sent him the scan picture, but the examination room had felt lonely. I had silently cursed myself for thinking that. I’d been around the guy three times total. How could I miss him. As Christmas and Austin’s return approached, I was thinking more and more about telling my parents. If I told them at Christmas, would they be extra happy or extra mad? A question that was unanswerable. Austin not being at the scan had made me realise how lonely I really was in all of this, I’d told no one except him so there was no one else to call to come with me.
Since I’d found out, I’d also being avoiding my family, but that was pretty impossible to do at Christmas. Don’t get me wrong my parents were great people, but they had their views that a baby should have married parents. The hormones in me made me want to cry at thinking that, and I quickly started panicking. By the time I’d dialed his number, I was sobbing.
He answered on the fourth ring. “Hello?” his voice was panicked “Why are you crying? Lottie what’s wrong? Is something wrong with the baby?”                                                                                                                                                                                                  “Austin,” I gasped “How am I going to tell them! What if they never speak to me again. What if they’ll never see me again, never want to see the baby. It’s Christmas in three days! How have I left this til now. I’m all alone. What if they kick me out of the family, cut me out of photos. What if…” Austin, the voice of reason, then stepped in. “Lottie listen, while your parents may not throw a party over the situation within which you’re having this baby, I highly doubt they’re going to never want to see you again.” I nodded even though he couldn’t see me. His mellow voice soothing. “I don’t know how my dad will react either, we’re both in the same boat here.”                                                                                                                                                     “What about your mum?” I asked, my voice ragged from the crying. Austin inhaled slowly and shakily. “My mum passed away six years ago.” His defeated voice set me off again, tears streaming. Why was I crying? I should have been comforting him. “Lottie it’s alright. I do know my mum would have been very happy though, she always wanted grandchildren.”                                                             “Austin I am so scared about all of this.”                                                                                                                                                                       “Me too. We will be okay.”                                                                                                                                                                                                 We. One word was all the comfort I needed. ‘We’ was a team, was a support system, was what I really needed right now. My heavy beathing softened.                                                                                                                                                                  “I’m coming back to England.” He said                                                                                                                                                                 “Austin but you’re supposed to be going home for Christmas.”                                                                                                     “Well, I am needed elsewhere.” He stated simply.                                                                                                                         “Austin I can’t let you do that. You can’t not be home for Christmas.” I argued.                                                                       “I can and I am. I’ll see you soon Lottie.” He hung up the phone.
I must have fallen asleep on the sofa that night to the mindless hum of ITV 2 because when I awoke it was to gentle raps on the door. The clock on the oven shone 05:12. “What the fuck?” I whispered. I approached the door, looked through the peephole and was met with piercing blue eyes. He couldn’t have actually? Austin knocked on the door again and whisper shouted “Lottie, it’s Austin Butler, the father of your unborn child.” I whipped open the door. Seriously?  Austin fell forward a bit, his reaction delayed and tired. “What the hell are you doing here, you div!? I told you to stay in America.” I hissed.                                                                                                                                                    “Well, I was dreaming of a white Christmas…” he started almost drunkenly singing, “No snow in California!”                                                                                                                                                                    He pushed past me into the flat.  “It doesn’t snow here either Austin.” He shrugged. I was honestly too tired for this.                                                                                                                                                         “Not very festive in here.” He observed looking around my very decoration free living room and throwing himself and a large duffel bag on the sofa. I shut the front door, I couldn’t be bothered, he could sleep on the sofa, I had work tomorrow. “Not a lot of festive cheer around here.” I said coolly. I made my way to my bedroom. The large man in my living could be dealt with in the morning.
“Where are you going?” he called from the sofa. “I’ve come halfway across the world to see you and you don’t even care to ask why?” he teased “I am wounded.” He mockingly grabbed the dagger in his chest. I stopped and turned around.                                                                                                                               “Why have you Austin? You should be with your family.” He pouted.                                                                                       A pause.                                                                                                                                                                   “Because I think we should move in together.”
Part Seven
I am surprised I didn’t shout out in shock. What was he going on about? “Okay, okay listen to me here,” he threw his hands up in surrender, “I hate to think you’re all alone in here. Breaks my heart a little bit if I’m honest.” He paused to check if I was listening. I was. Maybe I was just too tired to argue, and he was monopolizing the opportunity. “And also, you were going to have to have someone move in at some point to help with the baby. Why not just a bit earlier than expected? There is no way you can do it by yourself.” I clenched my fists; I didn’t like being told what I can and can’t do. “Finally, I’m all in Lottie. All in. I want to make this work and I know we can. I think you know that too.” I watched his face start to fall as I stood there reactionless. I walked towards him and enveloped him in a hug. He smelt warm and sleepy but squeezed me back just as tightly as I did him. “Thank you.” I whispered into his chest. A tear trailed from my eye.
How could I have been so lucky. This whole situation could be so much worse, but Austin had shown me in such a short space of time he was a kind, reliable, good man. Someone I could trust and who supported me. The relief was gushing, and I knew I was ready to tell my parents. Christmas Eve, I would do it. Austin sighed happily, released me, then curled up into the sofa. Even without me saying we both knew I had agreed with him. By the time I’d come back from my room with a blanket he was out. The idiot had flown across the world through the night just to propose something to me he didn’t even know I would agree to. I prayed then our baby would be just as brilliant as he was. I laid the blanket over him, and he hummed in his sleep. I went to my bedroom hoping that I would get at least another hour of sleep in before work.
I woke up exhausted, but I knew I couldn’t take anymore days off considering the suspicious amounts I had been taking off to go to pregnancy appointments and the fact it was literally Christmas Eve tomorrow. I would have to tell my boss after Christmas. Austin was still sprawled over my sofa asleep, so I quietly padded around the flat as I got ready for work. I left a note on the coffee table in front of him, hoping he would see it when he got up. ‘Make yourself at home; I’ll be back from work around six. There’s a spare key hidden in the flowers outside the door if you leave the house. See you soon. Lottie’
I tried to take my mind off of the man and I suppose my soon to be flat-mate while I was at work but it was pretty impossible. This was everyone’s last day of work before the Christmas bank holidays anyways and it was easy to tell no one in the office was really doing anything. Austin’s preposition from last night kept floating around my head. Where did he mean for us to live? At my house? It was only one bedroom, so that wouldn’t work. And Austin couldn’t just sleep on the sofa for the next six months. He was only staying at a hotel, even though it was fancy, so we couldn’t move in there. What was he doing about Christmas? And what about his life in America? Surely, he wasn’t going to stay here forever. My flat’s rent was astonishingly cheap for London and when he upped and left back for America, I knew I couldn’t handle the rent of anything different alone. These were all things that I should have asked him last night, but I was just too tired and confused to do so.
On the train home I made a mental list of everything I was going to ask him when I got back. As I walked through the door, Austin back’s faced to me in the kitchen. He quickly turned around to me and smiled. “What are you doing?” I asked pointing to the pot on the hob.                                                                         “I’m just making dinner.” He said. Oh. That was nice. “It should be ready in like ten minutes.”                                                 “Okay.” I nodded gratefully. I never normally had a cooked meal after work, I was always too tired, especially since I’d been pregnant. I would just snack until I went to sleep. I got changed straight into my pajamas and went back out to the living room. You wouldn’t have known he had been here all day; he had left no mess.
Austin had brought two bowls of food over to the table and was sat waiting for me. It smelled like he had made curry. I took a mouthful and refrained for moaning. He looked to me with eyes asking if it was good and I nodded. He smiled then began eating himself. After a moment, I remembered my list from the train and began with, “So how is this gonna work? Where are we going to live?” He paused thinking.                                                                                                                                                                       “We will have to get somewhere bigger, three bedrooms. One for you,” he pointed to me, “One for me,” he turned his finger to himself, “and one for baby.” He pointed then to my stomach. I ran a small hand over my stomach and let out a laugh. “Austin, I can’t ask you to move here just because of this.”                                                                                                                                                                                                      “Lottie you never asked me to, I want to. And besides this project is keeping me here for the next year.” That did make me feel a little less guilty. “We’re going to make this work babe.” He reached across the table and squeezed my hand gently before retracting it.  I felt myself flush a little at that.                                                                                                                                                                                    “I am telling my parents tomorrow.” I said quietly.                                                                                                                           “Do you want me to come with? Bit of moral support?” he tilted his head as he asked the question. Was it probably a bad idea, yes, but I needed all the support I could get if I was going to face my parents. I nodded gratefully. “I do also have a favour to ask.” He said meekly after a moment. I glanced up from my bowl to show I was listening. Austin was scratching the back of his neck. “Um, since my return was a bit spur of the moment kind of thing, and it’s Christmas, there’s no hotels with free rooms to take me.” He took a breath before finishing quickly. “Can I just stay here for the next week or so until we find a flat?” I huffed out a laugh.                                                                                                                   “Austin of course you can. You seem so nervous though, did you really think I was going to kick you out onto the streets?” Austin picked up his fork again.                                                                                                                  “Well you never know.” He teased.
After dinner Austin forced me to sit down and let him do the washing up, even though he had cooked the dinner. My back was killing me, so I was grateful to sit down, but I felt immensely guilty. I shuffled into the sofa then feeling bad Austin would have to sleep here for the next week. No, he could take my bed, I would sleep here. I heard him turn off the kitchen tap and come and join me on the sofa.                                                                                                                                                                                                     “You’re making that face again.”                                                                                                                                                           “What face?” I asked.                                                                                                                                                                             “The confused guilty one.”                                                                                                                                                                 “Oh, I was just thinking how you should have the bed and I’ll sleep out here. You’re too tall to even lay down properly on this.”                                                                                                                                                                  “Lottie, what kind of man would I be if I made a pregnant woman give up her bed for me.”                    Well when he put it like that. I thought for a moment more.                                                                                                               “Just sleep with me then.” I stated. “We can just share. My bed is big enough.”                                                                   “Okay.” He chuckled.
I went to bed earlier than I had in a long time that night. Normally my flat was so cold this time of year and I would bundle in many layers in bed. But with Austin there I didn’t need to. He shuffled slightly closer towards me. “Goodnight Lottie. Thanks for sharing your bed with me.” He closed his eyes and smiled. We went to sleep, warm and comfortable.

Yummy food you like: Tacos! The fruit flavored macaroons. Fruit tarts.
Zoo favourites: I love all animals (except monkeys), but one of my faves to watch are otters. And dolphins, seals/sea lions. They're usually very active and playful, so it's fun to watch them.

3. Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year?
I have discovered a lot of Italian artists thanks to Sanremo 2022, especially Mahmood (listened to him back in 2019 but lost the track until this year), BLANCO, Irama and Tananai. But my fave is Rkomi - I even bought a copy of Taxi Driver a couple of days ago in Milan 💖
5. TV show of the year?
I'm not a show/movies person 😅 I keep re-watching the same 2-3 things over and over, the only addition has been Brooklyn 99.

there is so much cool media that my peers now consider cool i was into when I was 13 and everyone thought I was an oddball for and it's not even something intense or niche it's very basic and mainstream but the context is I was in india so basically I discovered these channels like comedy central and hbo on indian television and people didn't used to watch them but I randomly started watching them and cause my mom was working in the american embassy she kinda encouraged me watching english shows so apparently I watched friends and superstore and brooklyn 99 and movies like the black swan the perks of being a wallflower jump street transformers etc etc when no one knew about it and started listening to melanie martinez and halsey and reading harry potter and mortal instruments then after 2 years cool kids are suddenly super into english shit and am like over all this also it's so funny I always tell everyone that when I moved here at 15 it was bad cause like while people my age back in india all listened to one direction and taylor swift and watched all these english movies I listened to hindi songs and wasnt into foreign culture and while everyone was excited to see west I was like not too interested cause that is what everyone said happened but actually I remembered like just 4 5 days ago that that's not true when I moved i was full into YA novels i remembered I had this funny relationship with this semi popular girl where we bonded over being crazy over some white guys she really loved the one direction guys and I was in love with johnny depp at the time but while almost everyone know about the band no one fucking knew johnny depp by name a lot of the time they would know who I was talking about when I said jack sparrow but for a long time a lot of people didn't and no one was interested in tim burton movies with me but the thing is after I left school and was home 6 months I was very depressed and kinda stopped being too much into the stuff i used to be into and kinda forgot about it all? my memory is so fucking shit I like forgot that I had watched superstore and friends and all these shows like 4 5 times over and over I just forgot lol came here and was like naw I never watched Brooklyn 99 haha what is that and then when my friends sat me down for it I was like waaaaait I have watched this i can tell u what happens minute by minute lol but I was really into all this white shit I just was never at the time it was hyped and that always made me an additional oddball over being a nerd n tomboy

SCAMMED?! - thirteen ; challenge accepted
Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS! after losing to your friend patrick in a game of fashion famous on roblox, your punishment is to send that one incredibly stupid and very unconvincing “scammer” copypasta using a burner account to your longtime crush - fashion major, kim sunoo. after asking for your phone number, sunoo realises that you’re his classmate from a few years ago that he sees at the cafe often, and maybe you’re the person that he’s been harbouring feelings for - despite how he cringes when he sees your mismatched socks.
Tumblr media
Saying that you’ve made a lot of bad decisions in your life is an understatement.
Because damn, there are so many things that you regret. Maybe you should stop trying to make major life decisions by pulling slips of paper out of a hat.
Number three on your list: choosing to be a literature major. Nobody told you that it would be this hard. Number two: sending that god forsaken copypasta that Patrick had dared you to. You decide that sending that was more embarrassing than pissing your pants in third grade.
Number one: Deactivating your Twitter account and then trying your best to avoid Sunoo.
You are an absolute idiot, because you miss Sunoo, but also, you’re too scared to head to the cafe and just say hello.
These past few weeks have been embarrassing, to say the least. From losing in a game for seven year olds to sending the guy you’ve crushed on for years a dumb copypasta, sometimes you just want to bury yourself in a hole and never come out.
Patrick watches as you stare blankly at your computer screen, the TV show Brooklyn 99 playing on your laptop.
“The hospital called. Your tests came back positive. You’re a stage five dumbass.” Captain Holt says to Gina, but he might as well just be saying that to you.
You groan, and Patrick can’t help but laugh. “Do you find joy in my sadness?” you ask him, and he shakes his head.
“No, it’s just - Holt is right, you really are a stage five dumbass.”
“Shut up, Patrick.”
“Never.”
“You should probably go do some homework though,” Patrick says. “You’ve been watching this TV show for three days straight.”
“Yeah, but then I have to go to the cafe, and Sunoo might be there - what if I get rejected?”
“I think there’s a 0% chance of that happening, (Name).” Patrick responds. “If you think you’re going to get rejected, your dumbassery just increased by 100%.”
“You’re mean to me.” you pout.
“Just go to the cafe, (Name).”
“You’re praying on my downfall.”
“Yeah, and the last time I did, you and Sunoo became best friends.” Patrick says.
“You know that means your prayers didn’t work… right?” you ask, and Patrick rolls his eyes.
“Just fucking go.”
Tumblr media
When you walk into the cafe, y our eyes scan around the shop for any sight of Sunoo, and the pink-haired (well, now black-haired) boy is nowhere to be seen.
It’s strange, because you’re so nervous that you might see him, but you also feel disappointed that he’s not there.
You set your laptop on the table, taking out your books and pencil case from your tote bag. You put your headphones in your ears as you start to work on your essay.
When you’re halfway finished with your work, you feel someone tap you on your shoulder.
You turn to look at them, and you meet eyes with none other than Kim Sunoo.
You freeze, your eyes wide like a deer in headlights. Sunoo’s slightly frowning, but he looks more concerned than upset. He slides into the empty seat next to you, pushing a cup of coffee towards you that he gestures for you to take.
“Where have you been?” is the first thing he says to you.
“Around. I’ve been around.” you respond. As those words escape past your lips, you realise that it was a bad idea to say that.
“You’ve been ignoring my texts.” he says, and you look at him apologetically. “Why?”
“Uh…”
“Was it about the tweet?”
“…Yes?” you respond hesitantly, and Sunoo furrows his eyebrows. “The one about you saying ‘Kim Sunoo date me challenge’?”
You bury your face in your hands, and you can feel the tip of your ears burning due to embarrassment. “Don’t bring that up - it was embarrassing!” you say, and you hear Sunoo chuckle.
“Obviously, I am not too happy that you ghosted me for three days. But… can I accept your challenge?”
You look at Sunoo with your eyes wide, and there’s a small smirk on his lips. “…What?”
“You said ‘Kim Sunoo date me challenge’. Challenge accepted.” he grins.
“You… like me?” you sputter out, and Sunoo nods. “Since high school.” he responds, and you’re absolutely shocked.
Kim Sunoo likes you back.
“Uh… can you give me… five minutes to process this?” you ask, and Sunoo chuckles. “Sure.”
Five minutes pass, and it still doesn’t seem real.
“You really do like me right? It’s not a prank, or something?” you ask, and Sunoo shakes his head. “Why would I prank you?” he asks. “Hey, I got this tiny bruise from when you called me cute four days ago.” he points to the bruise on his forehead, and you let out a small ‘oh’.
“Does it hurt?” you ask, brushing his hair back to take a closer look at the bruise. Sunoo’s face flushes pink, and he’s sure you noticed. “No, not really.” he says.
“I’m sorry for ghosting you.” you say with a sheepish smile, and Sunoo shrugs. “You were embarrassed. I mean sure, I was left confused for a couple of days, but then Wonyoung told me that you apparently didn’t stop talking about me.”
“Wonyoung, that snitch…” you mutter, and Sunoo laughs. “I hope you said good things about me though. Like how I’m really pretty and funny.” Sunoo says, and you wouldn’t admit it to him out loud, but yes - that was what you were saying to Wonyoung.
“So…” you say.
“So…”
“I like you.” you say, and Sunoo smiles. “I like you too.” Sunoo responds.
“We are both in like with one another.” you state, and Sunoo chuckles. “Yes. That is true.” he moves to place his hand on top of yours, and he notices how your eyes widen slightly - which he finds adorable.
“So… wanna…. go out?” he asks, and you nod.
“I’d like that.” you respond with a bright grin, and Sunoo feels like his heart’s about to explode.
“Yes!” you hear a few hushed whispers from another table, and you turn to look. You see Sunghoon, Jake, Wonyoung and Rei sitting behind you and Sunoo, and they’re all high-fiving one another.
“Why are you all here?” you ask, and Rei’s eyes widen when she hears you. “Moral support!” Wonyoung responds, giving you a thumbs up.
“C’mon,” Sunoo says. “Let’s go on a date?”
You have never said yes to anything so quickly.

Jotunnary | Day 8 - Mythology
Pairing: Loki & Peter Parker (friendship or found family, works either way).
Word count: 600
A/N: Today's drabble is mostly based in @whatafuckingdumbass 's headcanon where Loki is a huge mythology nerd and will hyperfixate on any kind of myths :)
Tumblr media
“Mr. Parker, you’re having your presentation tomorrow morning”, said the professor, and Peter felt his whole body shrink and tense at the sole mention of that assignment. He nodded and packed his things up, ready to leave with the rest of the class.
When he mentioned Mr. Stark that he couldn’t go to the lab because he needed to study about a hundred books for the next day, he got interrupted by Thor.
“Youngster, I’m an old soul! I’m sure I can help you with your homework!”.
“Thor, you oaf, you could barely manage in your tutoring until about just a century ago”, chuckled Loki. “What’s this homework about, spiderling?”.
“It’s… well, it’s on Greek Mythology. It’s for literature class. I’m sure you know a lot about everything, but you’re Norse Gods, so I didn’t actually think you’d want to help me on Greek mytho…”, he stammered, but Loki intervened.
“I have news for you, Starkson boy”, Loki smiled, and before Tony could interrupt him, he got up and walked with Peter to the library of the compound, “I’m a big mythology enthusiast. I would love to help you with any homework you may need. Same thing with literature in general, I’m very well paced with Midgardian literature, therefore I’ve read every book in this compound and more”.
“Wow, that’s… impressive to say the least, Mr. Loki. Thank you very much!”.
Peter and Loki stayed in the library for as long as they could, engulfing books and knowledge. Loki didn’t stop talking about everything surrounding Peter’s homework’s subject, and from time to time Thor and Tony would peep in to check if everything was alright, only to find the two boys overly excited for the material —they weren’t even actively studying at that point, they were just being nerds over the stories and culture.
When the sun set and they began being more and more tired, Loki would tend to forget to use his Allspeak and Peter would hear his ramblings in Old Norse —thing he didn’t complain about at all, he loved to hear such different phonetics rolling off Loki’s tongue with such fluidity.
The lights went out in the middle of the night, and before Peter could even begin looking for light supplies, Loki started lighting up scented candles all around. Peter chuckled.
“This is what I had in my youth to study. Well, not exactly lemon-scented little candles in glass cups, but… candles. You know”, he muttered. “This evening is a whole trip back to my early hundreds”.
“I thought you were actually young, God-wise”.
“I am. I should be about twenty one in Midgard”.
“Oh, that’s interesting”.
“How so?”, he smiled kindly.
“You don’t look twenty one. Like, I didn’t picture you like an older brother, more like a…”, but he stopped on his words right away.
“Yes?”.
“An older friend”.
“As much as I’m flattered you consider me your friend, I’m afraid I am the God of Lies”, he smirked, and Peter hid his face between his arms.
“Let’s just keep studying”.
“Do you see me as a father figure, Parker?”, joked Loki, and Peter bursted out of laughter.
“I can’t believe you’re quoting Brooklyn 99!”.
“The Scarlet Witch has the terrible habit of wanting me to binge watch Netflix with her. And of course I’ll oblige!”.
Peter came to school the next day and aced the presentation completely. He was sure he was actually being extra encouraged, because the black cat from the window seemed a little too eager to keep on listening to what the spiderboy had to say.

stephanie beatriz x fem!oc - nervous
Tumblr media
Hey, I love all your writing and I would like to request a Stephanie Beatriz x Fem! OC. The oc is friendly, always happy, always smiling yet sort of quiet, shy and reserved hairstylist on the Brooklyn 99 set. She's loved by everyone in the cast. The night before she and Steph went on a date after 4 years of secretly liking each other. OC refers back to her shy, quiet self the next day when Stephanie walked into the hair trailer. Thank you ❤️ - request from anon <3
Estrella was definitely nervous. It had gone so well last night... She got home at 6 this morning only to leave again for work an hour or so later. She was tired and nervous. Nervous about seeing Stephanie. "I've ever watched it" She admitted as she shook her head, meeting
Melissa's eyes through the mirror.
"You've never seen Home Alone?" Mel questioned, her eyes widening as Estrella adjusted her final piece of hair.
"You sound like my sister did. She tried to make me watch it every Christmas but I like The Polar Express, Muppets Christmas Carol and Elf. I watch them on repeat and I will forever watch them on repeat" She smiled, stepping back so Melissa could get up.
"Good Morning, Star" Stephaine greeted happily. Estrella felt herself blush as the taller woman moved to sit down where Melissa was seconds ago. "Morning" She greeted back quietly making Steph raise an eyebrow.
"Star... Star...Estrella. It's 5:30"
"I fell asleep" Estrella mumbled to herself shyly as she sat up tiredly from Steph's arms, in Steph's bed. She would admit that she was happy there... because she really was but she felt her cheeks go red. She fell silent as she scanned the floor for her clothes and her boots with a little sigh.
They had only come back to Stephanie's for drinks instead of going to a bar because she knew Estrella hated loud, overcrowded public places filled with people she didn't know. The restaurant they went to was quiet and small. Steph had spent all day trying to find somewhere she knew Star would like. "You okay?" Stephanie asked slightly concerned with the sigh Star had let out.
"Yeah. I'm fine" She responded as she picked up her dress, slipping it over her head. Estrella turned to get up but stopped herself and turned around with a small smile. "Thank you for last night. I should--" Steph smiled, cutting her off by leaning forward and kissing her softly.
"She's never seen Home Alone" Melissa mentioned to her close friend as she passed on the way out. "Thank you, Estrella!" She called after her as she closed the door to the trailer. They were alone. Not that it was a bad thing because it wasn't... but Estrella didn't know what to say. She had gone shy again. She felt exactly how she did when she did Stephanie's hair for the pilot. The first time they met.
"You haven't seen Home Alone?" Steph chuckled, looking up through the mirror at the slightly smaller woman with a smile. All she got was a simple shake of her head making her smile falter a little. It was silent between them. The only sound in the trailer was the radio which was usually talk radio because that's what Estrella loved. Her sister used to be a presenter so she always listens to the old ones with her voice on repeat. It calmed her... It was also fun watching some of the guys listen to it in confusion and have them, but especially Andy, ask what they were saying seen as the entire thing was in Spanish.
It wasn't an awkward silence, but it wasn't exactly comfortable. It was slightly awkward for Stephanie. She sat in it for 20 minutes as she scrolled through Instagram. Star could never detect when silence was awkward despite usually being the one who caused it in the first place. She didn't feel the slight awkwardness that Steph did. She just started on her hair, listening to her sister's voice to calm her nerves. This was the only thing that worked, you know, hearing her late sister's voice. Although, she did discover last night that holding Stephanie's hand also helped. Walking towards the restaurant, she was nervous about it being somewhere she hadn't been before but she took her hand and it shifted. Star smiled faintly at the memory.
"What you smiling at?" The actress wondered aloud, catching Estrella's eyes through the mirror. She caught the hairstylist's smile grow ever so slightly making her's do the same. "What?"
"Nothing. It's stupid. It doesn't matter" She muttered shyly, a few seconds later as she ran her fingers through Steph's hair making it look as good as possible. "Done" Star heard a mumbled 'thank you' as Stephanie got up from the chair and turned to face her. "Have I done something?" Estrella's face fell.
"No. No, you haven't. Star, you haven't done anything" Steph reassured, reaching out and taking Star's hand and unknowingly calming the nerves that had started to rise. "I just have a question. Why have you gone shy again?" She asked, stopping with Star before the door.
Estrella sighed. She was a shy and quiet person that was fairly innocent and oblivious to a lot of things. She got nervous. She could be, well, a lot... that's what she was always told anyway. By friends, her parents, family. Most people who knew her thought so. "It's been like 7 years since I've been on a date or gone home with someone. I'm 33 and I haven't dated since I was 25" The smaller woman revealed softly. "I stopped because I used to get shy and quiet again when I saw them next. I get overly nervous. I thought it would be a lot worse now I don't have Elise. She always made me calm"
Stephanie smiled softly at her as she gently squeezed her hand for comfort. Star finally looked up and let out a sigh she didn't know she was holding in. "My last girlfriend, Emmie, I had when I was in college and she couldn't put up with me... because she got to know me and got past the shy, reserved me and knew what I'm really like" Estrella playing with her necklace... her sister's necklace. "She didn't like that I was oblivious to a lot of things and couldn't really understand how other people felt. She hated how I fixated so much of my time on things I love and have loved for so long instead of trying new things. She thought I was 'a lot' whatever that means"
"Estrella--"
"I went shy again because I was nervous. Nervous about what you were going to say to me or what I would say. I might have been nervous about the same thing happening again... I don't know. I don't want you to get to know me properly if I'm only going to end up alone again. This time I would be alone because Elle died" When Stephanie smiled and giggled a little, confusion washed over Estrella's face. "What?"
"I like you, Star. You like me, I know that. You told me that... even if you whispered it and thought I didn't hear."
"You heard that?" Heat rushed to Star's cheeks in slight embarrassment as she was gently pulled closer to the actress.
"I heard it and I like you too. I like you a lot, okay? I want to get to know you properly because I liked the woman I went out with last night. She was sweet and happy and funny and innocent but in a cute way. As much as I like you now, I want to get to know more of the woman that talked about Disney in my bed for hours until we fell asleep."
"You weren't bothered that I know endless facts about almost every movie and every character?" She wondered, lightly smiling.
"Not at all. I love Disney" Stephanie shook her head, her smile as wide as it could be without looking unnatural. "Your face lights up when you talk about it. I love that"
"Really? Even Elise got annoyed with it"
"I don't," Steph said as she slowly inched closer to Estrella's face. "You're not going to be alone. I won't let it happen" She was speaking close to a whisper, making a shiver run down Star's spine as butterflies appeared in her stomach. "Can I know why you were smiling now? I'm sure it wasn't stupid"
"Usually the only thing that makes me calm and at ease is my sister's voice but last night when we were walking to the restaurant, I started to feel nervous about the new setting. You didn't know that, obviously, but you held my hand and I didn't feel as nervous anymore. It happened again in the middle of the night. I think it was 2 am or something and I woke up nervous about not being at home but you moved in your sleep and your arms tightened around me a little and I wasn't nervous anymore. I was thinking about that"
"Besides seeing me again after last night, I don't make you feel nervous?"
"No. No one here does anymore but especially you" Estrella shyly admitted, looking down a little. She was knocked a step back when Stephanie quickly leaned in and kissed her. It took a second before she smiled a kissed back.
Steph smiled as she pulled away, turning to leave. Before she could, Star spoke up again. "Thank you for last night. It was sweet what you did for me... with the restaurant and not taking me to a bar. The alternative was so much better. I had a lot of fun"
"We should do it again."
"I can be free tonight"
