Not necessarily shiny related, but Pokémon Scarlet/Violet is running a 7 star Tera raid along with some massive mass outbreaks for eevee as well this weekend in honor of Eevee Day coming up on the 21st, so for all us eevee lovers out there, this is the time to get a perfect stats eevee in whatever ball you want and maybe a few random shiny eevees too!

Incredibly niche question for pokemon legends arceus:

I found an eevee mass outbreak (not the massive mass outbreak) and I have been trying to get a shiny from it for like. A day. The only thing is that since they're skittish, I don't need to fight or catch them to get new ones to spawn, so I've just been scaring them off. Is this inhibiting the shiny possibility?? Should I be fighting or catching them instead?? Do I just have shit luck??

AITA for not wanting to give my friends brother a christmas present this year?

I (26nb) have a friend who was previously an irl friend who is now an internet friend.

Last year I made his brother two plushies (a velociraptor and a weighted shiny umbreon). These were both pretty time consuming and a pain in the ass to make. Additionally, I was not paid or compensated for making the gifts as at the time my friend did not have a job and I felt bad he couldn't get anything for his brother for Christmas.

This was fine with me at the time because I thought it would be a one time thing.

This year I was asked what I would be making for his brother for Christmas at the beginning of November. While I was confused about the question, I did ask him to get back to me with any ideas he wanted me to make. He let me know about halfway through December what his brother wanted. I let him know that it was probably not going to be enough time (even though I am off work right now on medical leave, I'm working on other projects for my etsy store) and essentially to not get anyone's hopes up.

As I had thought I did not have enough time to make the plushie from scratch and even struggled to find a suitable replacement plushie that was already made (one of the paw patrol dogs). When I mentioned the lack of time/that the gift wasn't going to arrive on time my friend got frustrated with me.

I haven't bought the plushie yet and now I don't want to because I've never even met my friends brother in person so I don't really understand why it's become my responsibility to manage my friends brothers Christmas presents now. Plus with me being off of work I don't have the finances to get all the new materials I'd need to make the plushie right now (last years were made with fabric i already had + some from the remnants bin at the store because I got really lucky). [Sorry for any venting that slipped in, I'm very frustrated by this.]

So, AITA for not wanting to give my friends brother a christmas present this year?

Part 2 of my take on Batfam x Pokemon

In this part, I’m including Steph and Cass. I know I said i was also gonna do Damian and duke, but i haven't had inspiration yet 😭😭

Stephanie: She’s always overlooked for the guys when it comes to Robin. I know she wasn’t Robin for long, but I’d still like to reference it at least somewhat

Taillow/Swellow | “Tolson” - Steph finds Taillow when she was a few years old. She brought him inside and insisted that they keep him. Despite Arthur saying no, no matter how hard they try, the taillow kept coming back, and so they literally had zero choice but to keep him!

Ralts/Gardevior | “Misty” - She finds a little ralts wandering around Gotham toward her first few years as Spoiler. She played with her for a little while, and the ralts continued to follow Steph around Gotham before saving her from an attacking an attacking houndoom and then leading her to a shiny Umbreon, who just so happened to belong to the third robin

Feebass/Milotic | “Little Guy” - toward the latter of her time as spoiler, she finds a little guy (feebass) just swimming around in the muck of gotham. she felt bad for the “little guy” and took him in. turns out, little guy eventually becomes big guy- a Milotic!

Fennekin/Delphox | “Katniss” - the first pokemon she finds as Robin (which matches her with the other robins, and she would be lying if she said it didn’t feel like fate)

Jolteon | “Sparky” - She’s given Jolteon by Bruce when she comes back from the “dead” (Note that the others have all started as eevees before evolving into the pokemon they are now, whereas Steph’s jolteon never grew up with her. this can either be read as her being accepted into the batfam without truly NEEDING to be Robin, her never really being part of the batfam in the first place, or bruce wanting to erase her time as “Robin” and acknowledgethat she was so much more than his sidekick. it’s all up to the reader to decide how much angst they want to indulge in :3)

Cass: Being raised as a weapon, she probably relates more to pokemon than she does humans, seeing as they don’t rely solely on words to communicate, but with body language and such too. this probably lends to her having a closer bond with her pokemon, and the bats/citizens of gotham coming up to her and asking why their pokemon are acting up/if their pokemon love them and whatnot. she’ll work closely with Damian to bust pokemon trafficking rings and others of the such :3 I'm also unsure what exactly she'd name her pokemon, but she'd probably have help from tim and steph later on

Riolu/Lucario | “Reed” - her first pokemon was a riolu given to her to use. they are completely and wholly dedicated to each other in the beginning, since both were hesitant to take another creature's life. Riolu evolves into Lucario to help Cass escape, and helped bring Cass onto Bruce's radar

Trapinch/Flygon | "Falen" - Cass finds a trapich buried in the sand while in the middle east, and decides to keep it. It stays, and eventually evolves into flygon, who sticks loyally by her side

Eevee/Vaporeon | “Eve” - Tim gives Cass an eevee as a gift within her first years with the Batfam while the others were still wary of her. Cass loves the eevee SO much, but she accidentally runs into a water stone that dick had left out, and evolved into a vaporeon rather than a sylveon

Rockruff/Lycanroc | “Sedis” - Jason is the one who gives her a rockruff as a peace offering, or maybe a bride to look past his killing of vile criminals? Either way, she keeps the little guy, and she lets tim name the pokemon, and he chooses Sedis to match with Iggy (Sedimentary and Igneous rocks)

Cosmog/Solgaleo | “Lumens” - I think Cass deserves to be the only one with a box legendary :3 she probably picks up a cosmog after settling in with the batfam, and when she shows him off, everyone is like 😃 Tim is really intrigued, and damian is jealous that HE didn't get to have a sparkly space cloud, and he'd be even MORE jealous when he finds out that Cass gets to have a sparkly space LION (Lord knows he 100% wants a lion)

i need to yap this out bc its actually overtaken my brain so yesterday, i thought of a wind breaker pokemon au more specifically, what pokemon they would have and/or how they would meet them bc this is very important to me before i make the au real if i dont got anything for that, then ill just explain the reason why i chose it to be on sakuras team STARTING WITH SAKURA!! truth be told some of the pokemon MIGHT be changed as I continue to think but this is what ive got for now

ABSOL - Sakura's partner pokemon. So, first things first, its Pokedex entry is perfect for Sakura. It met Sakura as a child, saving him from something (maybe a disaster, maybe from other kids bullying him). However, this only fueled bad rumors causing the old townspeople to stay away from them. Acts a lot like Sakura's protector, despite him saying he doesn't need protection. TOGETIC - A couple days or a week before Sakura leaves for Makochi, it bumped into him, injured and scared. He beat up the bastards chasing it and Togetic was grateful. Sensing Sakura's pure heart (again, Pokedex entry is perfection), it softly bonked its head onto one of Sakura's stray pokeballs to be caught, shocking the other. It doesn't appear until the start of episode 3, after Sakura and Sugishita shake hands. The class gets surprised when it appears, happily chirping at its trainer, and it's Suo who points out that it's a shiny Togetic. Which shocks everyone, Sakura included because he didn't know it was a shiny. Because of that, Sakura's mean and aloof image is thrown out the window LMAO RIOLU - An episode four catch, right before they leave to fight Shishitoren. It saw Sakura fight in ep 1 and was mesmerized, following the other all the time. This makes Nirei mistake it as Sakura's pokemon when he meets the other, who was very much confused then surprised when he sees the pokemon. It's a very cheerful and easily excitable pokemon in contrast to its trainer, admires Umemiya's Lucario A LOT. If you've seen Pokemon Horizons, it's basically Fuecoco and Charizard. MIMIKYU - ok we're now starting on the ones i dont have exact lore for. I chose this because, pokedex entry. I think Sakura would meet it bc of his haunted ass apartment, its there all alone and he doesn't bother it and it doesn't bother him during those first few days, the silence of company calms them. One day, it asks Sakura to catch it or it follows him outside to school. LITTEN - I feel like how it meets Sakura will be like the SM anime, or maybe Umemiya finds it on the rooftop about to eat one of his crops and introduces it to the gang like 'Do any of you want to take care of this adorable Litten? It doesn't like me unfortunately'. It warms up to Sakura VERY QUICKLY (it senses kin), so that's the end of that discussion. Also because I needed a cat to be in Sakura's team. UMBREON - This one is a much, MUCH more later catch. I don't know how much later but definitely past where the manga is currently at right now because I do not think Sakura will have a full team where we're at rn. Caught as an Eevee, its a very calm pokemon that loves being a little shit to Absol. And that's what I've got for now! the ones most subject to change are the latter half of the team, but the first three are there to stay An honorable mention to this team is Victini, because V is for victory! but I feel like I can make a scenario that fits for victini and sakura to meet and not have victini captured bc its a mythical WAHAHAHA i will definitely make this au into a fanfic after the uhhh 5-7 fic ideas that i need to finish first

Ages ago back when Legends Arceus first came out, I toyed with the idea of completing a shiny dex. (Replacing every dex picture with its shiny counterpart) I got halfway through before massive mass outbreak hunting kinda killed my motivation. But! With Eevee week in Violet finally letting me complete the entire shiny eevee family, I regained some of that former vigor and have decided to give it another go!

I won’t spam you with updates since this is first and foremost an art/writing blog, but since I mostly do submas stuff I thought some of you might be mildly interested lol.

My two rules for myself are-

1: Transferring from other games is both allowed and encouraged. Shiny hunting distortion spawns is an exercise in misery and I will not participate in its madness. Those bad boys are getting Mesuda methoded

2: I’m not doing legendaries or mythicals. While I DO have the resources to do most of them, I find legendary hunts boring and uninteresting. (It’s mostly loading screens) And they’re long!! I could maybe do it if I only had to do one… but 10ish is far far too many (especially since I’d have to replay through bdsp TWICE to even START some hunts) Hunting all the legendaries would take up most of the time if I let it

Anyway, I’ll only post about my progress every so often (less then once a week lol) but if you want to block them completely I’ll be using the tag #blue’s shiny hunting adventures

All that being said- I’m currently at about 123/224!

Here’s my current list! There’s probably some errors in there (as well as spelling mistakes but everything is highlighted in red so I’ll never know what’s ACTUALLY spelled wrong) but this is fine for now lol

Shinies I’ve transferred from other games so far include:

- a shiny patcharisu that I caught in bdsp via radar

- a shiny magikarp and garados I caught in a new years event in sword AGES ago

- a shiny sneasel (+weavile dex entry) that I hunted in violet named Lady Baby

- a shiny bergmite who I hunted in Violet named Akari (who I did NOT evolve so I’ll need a new one anyway)

- a shiny umbreon and espeon who I painstakingly hatched with perfect IVS in Violet

- a shiny vaporeon who I spent AGES hunting in Violet

- a shiny flareon and glaceon who I accidentally ran into ten seconds apart from each other when I wandered into their mass outbreak in Violet

- a shiny jolteon and leafeon who I casually hunted for and found later that day in Violet

- a shiny abamasnow, rufflet (+braviary dex entry), snorunt (+frostless dex entry), toxicroak, and golduck I found randomly while playing Violet

Since starting this challenge yesterday I have found a shiny starly, chatot, remoraid (+octillery dex entry), and tangela!

I also currently am at 32 perfect dex entries and will hopefully have more by the end of this lol

I HAVE THOUGHTS TO SHARE.

THEM AND THEIR hypothetical POKEMON TEAM (i would like to hear other people's thoughts because i am unsure and i plan to post this on the subreddit eventually)

explanations under the cut (its gonna be extensive so be prepared) (this has been rotting in my brain for a while)

KYBORG

he has a secret soft spot for his pokemon, if they faint or get injured he worries really badly

he likes to bond with them during training :D he pesters the others for pokemon battles

umbreon, poochyena - i feel like they kinda just have the same 'mysterious, dark' vibes that kyborg wants to have has!! but funnily enough, they're not as scary as they seem. very affectionate!! like dogs!! kyborg loves them

riolu - okay so think with me here.. riolu/lucario can read auras and emotions and so they know that kyborg isnt a bad person and they know when he's trying to mask his emotions ??!!???? so riolu would be understanding of him n they'd be pretty close

also i'd just like to think riolu (and the rest of his pokemon) enjoy battling alongside kyborg

scorbunny/froakie - when i see these pokemon i think of athleticism and/or dexterity and i couldn't decide between the two :'3

scorbunny/froakie would go on runs / exercise with kyborg, they have a similar personality type where they're both brash, energetic, enthusiastic and they click easily like that!!

though i imagine froakie is more calculated in battles compared to scorbunny whos more impulsive

alolan vulpix - SPOILERS FOR EP 33 (?)

this vulpix, alongside hannibal (perhaps a dragonair) and gumbo (the linoone), was fighting against .. lets say abomasnow?

and during that fight lets say gum gum and kyborg interfered by sending out their pokemon and assisting in the battle n kyborg became really fond of the vulpix and decided to keep him as a per

WHY alolan vulpix? idk i think it'd be fitting since kyborg has some ties to snow and ice and also because i believe the region they were in during that arc was snowy !!1

BART

he performs little shows with his lute and his pokemon!! and he also occasionally has pokemon battles

he loves his pokemon dearly tbh and i feel like all of them appreciate music in some way :3!!

pikachu - one of the pokemon he's owned for a long time! his pikachu particularly is quite fond of his trainer and his quirks n music, it helped the crew during the time bart was on the jebediah!!

i have no explanation for this one actually but a fun thought is that pikachu would evolve into an alolan raichu (look at the little guy surf!!) and this would mean that bart would live in the alolan region so who knows honestly... LISTEN HE JUST HAS A PIKACHU

chatot - a gift from marrrge to bart, passed down because the two started to bond while on the ship. they sang together n marrrge could tell they really had potential so boom kapow wachow

ALSO ABOUT THE MIMICKI NG THING chatot can mimic voices (from what i remember) and i think it'd be funny if it mimicked kyborg like the kenkus from that one library and it annoys kyborg to no bounds

mantine - caught during his time on the ship! mantine sometimes swim near ships in little packs and i suppose this one took a liking to bart, and bart was pretty fond of it as well :D not much to say here except for the fact its a silly little water guy

tauros - bart got like.. a baby auroch or something right?? idk i forgot but either way he is (weirdly) fond of beastly bulls and i suppose a tauros is a good substitute

i also like to imagine bart likes mounting (strange wording) his pokemon since it just means he doesn't have to walk much and he likes being a bit higher up than he usually is n tauros (and maybe mantine) are good for that

would he own the notorious pokemon? that is but a thought left for the audience.

GUM GUM

he's weirdly lucky, seems to have a good chance at finding shiny pokemon and other rare things

wonder why

anyways, his pokemon r kinda just companions that he likes to hug and hang out with :) occasionally he does battle with them

floette - flower buddy!!! i'd like to think that gum gum likes to spend time in flower fields when he has the chance and the one thing he's honestly pretty knowledgeable in is flowers

so he might've met a flabebe or a floette and they became buddies! he had no idea it was a shiny until maybe one of the party members mentioned it

bulbasaur - okay so i struggled on this decision but then it came to me that bulbasaur is PERFECT idk they have the same vibes and it eventually starts growing a little flower when it evolves

i can't explain this one they just have the same vibes and energy. i think they'd go well together

tyrunt - so let's imagine that for some reason there were some fossil pokemon that kinda just escaped and that's how we explain the dinosaur encounters from rhe campaign

anyways he befriends the tyrunt in typical gum gum fashion (kyborg is SHOCKED because out of all the pokemon this one was a shiny) and they become friends! it loves hugs but it often initiated them running full speed and knocking over the victim (which is fine for gum gum, not fun for anyone else though)

yamper - SPOILERS FOR GUM GUM'S ARC

despite gum gum's bad experiences with rum rum (WHICH BY THE WAY rum rum perhaps was a rockruff that evolved into midnight lycanroc or a houndour/houndoom and that bite wouldve HURT) he's still fond of puppies n yamper helped with this slight uneasiness he's felt

idk i think gum gum deserves a silly little puppy

all his pokemon r very cuddly :)

MUDD

prefers mellow, calm pokemon since he finds it a bit tiring to keep up with high energy pokemon (unlike the other three)

his pokemon are quite well trained!! he's caught a lot of them and they're all very well taken care of

despite his pokemon being pretty strong, he doesn't find much use in pokemon battles

snivy - got the snivy during his time with his family! royal background buddies!!! snivy is a very calm pokemon (but it shares the same sass that mudd has), they're pretty close :D

linoone - GUMBO!!!!! at first, linoone wasn't too big of a fan of mudd but they gradually becamw closer! they do everything together, if you look at mudd linoone would always be on his shoulders or being carried

lycanroc - its the vibes honestly..

midday lycanroc is calm and loyal, and maybe mudd has raised it since it was a rockruff so they're also pretty well bonded!

idk i think they'd get along well

lapras, gogoat - both pokemon that remind me of mudd's personality

i cant explain this except for the fact that theyre correlated to some of the pokemon he's wild shaped into so ....

archen - i think it'd be funny if mudd just had a feral little pokemon . end quote

A tag team for Rose and Cyan/Shadow Joker from Kaitou Joker, requested by @sky-blue-memories!

Espeon - Espeon is extremely loyal to any trainer it considers to be worthy. It is said that this Pokémon developed its precognitive powers to protect its trainer from harm.

Whimsicott - It rides on the wind and slips into people's homes. After it has turned a room into a cotton-filled mess, it giggles to itself and takes off.

Sinistea - It absorbs the life-force of those who drink it. It waits patiently, but opportunities are fleeting—it tastes so bad that it gets spat out immediately.

Umbreon - Umbreon evolved as a result of exposure to the moon's waves. It hides silently in darkness and waits for its foes to make a move. The rings on its body glow when it leaps to attack.

Paldean Tauros (Blaze Breed) - When heated by fire energy, its horns can get hotter than 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit. Those gored by them will suffer both wounds and burns.

Murkrow - It searches for shiny things for its boss. Murkrow's presence is said to be unlucky, so many people detest it. It is believed that seeing this Pokémon at night will bring about ominous occurrences.

Details:

For twins, I obviously wanted to give them at least one set of matching Pokemon, so I went for Espeon and Umbreon, a pair of eeveelutions! Espeon was chosen for its Psychic-Type, while Umbreon was picked for its Dark-Type and ruthlessness. Furthermore, both are Pokemon that evolve through friendship, which I thought fit well with a sibling bond.

For Rose’s other two, I wanted cute Pokemon with a bit of an edge, so I picked the Grass/Fairy Whimsicott, who’s a mischief-maker. Considering the name of the character, a Grass-Type was a must. Sinistea is more outright menacing, stealing life force from people, but still coming in a cute and innocent appearance.

Tauros was a clear choice for such an aggressive guy. I went with the Blaze Breed to represent a fiery temper, and and as a bonus, Paldean Tauros has a black coloration, which I thought fit well. Murkrow was selected over Honchkrow due to Murkrow being a lackey. It’s the one that gets bossed around, but its still a spiteful little thing in its own right.

Allister & Silver headcanons let's goooooooooo

(Red is headcanons focused on Silver, Purple is for Allister-centric ones, and Black is for both!)

They were both found by an older couple in Johto who takes in any kids under the age of 10 who don't have a Pokemon. Silver was found wandering a town and failing to steal food, and Allister was discovered in the forest clutching an egg.

They ended up being put in the same room due to space limits, which worked out wonderfully! ... after they realized the other was a good person. this took a bit...

By the time a month had gone by, they were thick as thieves. Allister was very closed off, but something about Silver made him feel comfortable enough to open up in their room!

Silver did not let anyone be mean to Allister. Either through threatening them directly, or teaching Allister that yelling 'Fuck off' was a great way to get 6-10 year olds to back away

They're both neurodivergent. Allister's just the one most people clock first.

They named their starters after each other :3

Silver ended up picking Cyndaquil for his starter, entirely because Allister loved Hisuian Typhlosion. The reason he got caught by Gold is because he was lost in thought being reminded so suddenly and so vividly of his only friend. (The Cyndaquil got named Ghost after the first encounter with Gold)

Allister's egg eventually hatched into a shiny Eevee! This happened shortly after he got brought to Galar, and he named it Silver, due to both it's coloring, and his friend.

The two of them were planning to start their Trainer Journey once they turned 10, with Allister planning to pick Cyndaquil, and Silver wishing to wait until he could catch a Sneasel.

Unfortunately, that plan was shattered a few weeks before they were able to leave, because Chairman Rose caught wind of a strange child who spoke to ghosts and didn't have a family.

Part of the reason Silver is so furious during the events of Johto is because he's freshly morning the loss of his only friend, his father's (who abandoned him) group is starting to be active again, he isn't winning a single fight he picks, and this upstart prick known as Gold isn't exactly helping. the other part of the reason is because he never really learned the proper way of showing emotions. oh and you know, 10 is a trying age.

After they meet each other again, Silver pretty much just won't let Allister leave his side for long. Also Chairman Rose should be very glad he's in jail, because Silver and Ho-Oh would've wrecked his shit.

Allister actually opens up quite a lot around Silver, surprising Bea immensely, because he hadn't really done that before. (Bea and Silver have a rather silly rivalry. That being said, they do respect each other)

Allister's Eevee evolves into Umbreon! He doesn't use it for gym battles, but in private, it's his ace.

Silver (the Umbreon) is rather picky about people, but warms up to Silver (the trainer) right away. Allister has a few photos printed out of the Umbreon sleeping on top of the trainer.

Allister doesn't feel the need to wear his mask around Silver, unless they're in public. Honestly, there;s zero point anyways, because he only got the mask after they got separated.

They have plans to go visit a new region at some point, Allister wanting a break from being a gym leader, and Silver because he's bored. (honestly vibing with the idea of them going to Paldea for some reason)

They both tend to have anxiety/panic attacks, due to different reasons (Allister because of why he was alone in a forest, and Silver because he did not have a remotely good childhood), typically when this happens, one of them takes care of the other, because sometimes you just gotta have the comfort person around.

Allister likes art, specifically drawing, which Silver is fairly bad at. Allister usually teases his friend about this fact.

If you had to guess who's older, you'd probably say Silver. But, in fact, Allister is exactly a month older. Silver is forever annoyed at this fact.

Silver doesn't usually smile, but being with Allister changes that fact.

Allister has a habit of saying random shit out of nowhere, all because Silver was a weird kid.

Silver starts mellowing out considerably after reuniting with Allister, partly because he's a bit older now, and partly because not having Allister was one of the unresolved parts of his life.

They actually both have a tendency to go apeshit with the influence of each other.

Silver was actually scared of ghosts, until Allister introduced him to all the wild ghost types in Galar!

They both liked sparring with each other, with or without dynamaxing involved. They both enjoy the thrill of the fight :D

Aang- Bouffalant (Appa), Emolga (Momo), Flygon (earth), Charizard (fire), Togetic/kiss or Alteria? (air), Mantine (water)

Katara- Lapras, Froslass (to represent the Painted Lady), Chansey (healing), Tentacruel? (poison type to represent bloodbending?), Primarina? (Starter?), Basculegion (to represent her tribe and their losses for which she fights)

Sokka- Lucario (given to him as a Riolu by Suki), Tyrogue (might evolve into Hitmontop, might not evolve at all), Ursaluna (given to him as a teddiursa by Yue), Minior (to represent the meteor he made his sword out of. Probably blue color, but maybe shiny?), Samurott (his starter probably), Klinklang (to represent his tinkering skills)

Toph- Excadrill (badgermoles, obviously), Steelix (metalbending), Machamp (her championship title), Tinkaton, Gallade (given to her as a Ralts by her parents as a kind of "seeing eye pokemon" that she turned into a fighter. Kept an everstone on it until she joined the gaang), Bewear (another gift from parents, but this time as more like a bodyguard.)

Zuko- Pyroar M (prince), Doublade (swords), Ceruledge (blue spirit), Annihilape (anger issues), Alolan Marrowak (mom issues), Kommo-o (dragon)

• Azula's crew all have an eeveelution. Azula has two, and I imagine the flareon used to belong to Zuko, but it was taken from him after the Agni Kai and banishment.

• Ty Lee wants to keep her eevee unevolved. Azula might convince her to "make it more powerful." If she does, it'll be a Sylveon.

• Zuko and Azula's mom got both of them a litleo each as kids.

• Fire Nation mostly use fire types, but electric are common enough. Earth Kingdom is mostly ground and rock, but steel is ok. Air Nomads obviously use mostly flying, but fairy is common. Water Tribes use mostly water and ice, but obviously the swamp tribe uses grass.

• The Earth King still has just a bear. It's not a pokemon. It's a bear.

AITA for punishing my child for being a selfish brat?

(Context: These are pokemon ocs lol)

I (45F) am a Vaporeon, and I have always heavily valued my own self image. Because of this, I have always wanted my child to be a purebred Eevee. I decided that I wanted my partner to be good looking too. Unfortunately, it was difficult to find one, as every Eevee or evolution I met until this point didn't meet my standards.

That was until I met my now ex-husband (42M), who I will call M (as much as I'd like to name names, I know that's frowned upon here). M was an Umbreon, he had a beautiful pelt and long hair, which is very unique for an Umbreon as typically only Eevees, Flareons and Jolteons have such long fur. He was also a shiny, so he was even more unique! He also had status, well-revered among wild pokemon. He was perfect. That was, until I found out that he wasn't, in fact, a purebred Umbreon.

The reason behind his long fur wasn't because of some genetic accident. No, he was part Furfrou! I couldn't believe it! I felt cheated, lied to. I broke up with him on the spot, threatening him to never come back here again. I heard he hasn't been doing too well lately, so I'm glad karma finally got to him. That would have been the end of it, but unfortunately by this point we already had a child (at the time 6monthsNB), who I will call F.

Fortunately, despite not being purebred, there was very little Furfrou in F's blood. They were Eevee enough, so I hid their lineage from them and let them grow up thinking they just had abnormally long hair atop their head. They were shiny just like their father, and I didn't want them to grow up and look like him, so I opted never to tell them about Umbreons until they had already evolved.

But then their self-centered lowlife excuses of "friends", a Zorua and a Sneasel, told them horrible things about me, things that aren't even true! They must've told them to evolve into an Umbreon anyways, because that's exactly what they did! A few weeks ago, on their 16th hatchday, F went against my wishes and evolved into one in the middle of the night. I couldn't believe the audacity of them to do such a thing!

They even tried to tell me that their "new name" was R! (Not the actual name they said. Again, as much as I would like to name names…). Now, I'm aware that people and pokemon can change their names out of personal preference and all that, but the fact that they did this after evolution tells me that this was clearly an act of defiance. I told them exactly what they needed to hear, that they were nothing but a selfish brat, and that the world doesn't revolve around them.

We argued back and forth, eventually leading to me slashing their ear. I did so as punishment, to permanently ruin any chance of them looking "perfect" to anyone ever again. They continued to sass me, saying "no normal person cares about shit like that" (their words) before running away, and I never saw them since. Unfortunately, some nocturnal Pokemon and Pokemon that woke up from the kerfuffle caught witness, and started acting like I'm the bad guy in this situation! I know for sure that I was perfectly justified here, but I want to stick it to 'em. Am I the asshole? The answer should be clear.

how was old eevolves like?

It was written by an 11 year old. And it shows.

Shun had both Naruto and Avatar powers (he could bend all 4 elements and do Ninja Jutsu/control his chakra). And was a Mary Sue. I focused so much on Shun x May that it seemed like they were the main characters and everyone else was a side character. Eve’s dolls in ssec were in old Eevolves but Ruby owned them. Ofc, no June. Shun made them and they could talk because ofc they can. Sylveon wasn’t a thing when I wrote old Eevolves so Ruby liked Randy and there was no love triangle there. Max was never in the series cause him and his best friend Jax went away to learn ninjutsu from a Naruto ninja master. He wanted to get stronger so April will notice him. Which he did. Ex (or X) was an evil shiny Umbreon named UMBREON X and he was obsessed with Flora and he led a group of shiny Pokémon that terrorized everywhere, and ofc, Mary Shun had to stop him with his cool bad ass Naruto powers. Umbreon X also eventually got April Pregnant. Why April? She had nothing going for her so I thought it’ll bring her back into the story. It didn’t. :V She ended up hiding the baby from everyone. I forgot her son’s name. It’s probably Keith. Keith won’t be in New Eevolves and April is not getting pregnant either. Randy was a runt (like Vay is) and apparently it was Shun’s fault???? Idk. They had a big fight about it (with curse words and all) and Mary Shun with all his edge on display was like “ya…… come with me…….” “Leafeon……. It’s my fault….”. Randy is still oblivious as Ever with how Ruby feels about him, and only realizes when she heard her tell someone else. When he confronts her about this, she lists off the whole cast, saying the Eevolves main characters by their Eeveelution name but every other Eeveelution character by their actual name.

Mary Shun (who was Literally Black from ES but more Emo and Edgy) got super emo around May, so he leaves and May is heart broken for years until a kind Glaceon boy made her happy again and when Shun comes back against his will she still chooses SHUN AND NOT THE CUTE NICE GLACEON BOY WHO HELPED HER THROUGH ALL HER SAD TIMES. (The cute Glaceon character is in new Eevolves too, trying to find a name for him because I don’t remember his old name.) Speaking about Mary Shun, he at the ripe age of 12, had a mate and a child on the way, but both were killed by a Pokémon attack right in front of him (Ofc he killed the Pokémon who did it afterwards) and that is how he became edgy mc Edgelord. Also he borderline hated May and always told her to leave him alone and insulted things she liked. But OFC he had a soft spot for her cause she reminded him of his dead wife *eye roll* literal Tsundere. There is a picture I drew of him and said dead wife, they look like adults. Randy is playing a game with Ruby next to them and they look like literal babies. These characters are NOT THAT FAR IN AGE FROM EACHOTHER. Also ofc there are Eevolves kids too, they have their OWN drama. And one of them ofc is a Ninjutsu master at the ripe age of 4 years old. (Eevolves uses human aging, not SSEC aging btw). Everyone had dead or missing parents. Flora and Max’s parents died in a fire, April and May’s mom died and their dad was missing, Jet never knew his parents, Ruby’s parent abandoned her, Shun and Randy’s parents- are actually alive but Shun disowned them along with his older brother. So they were mostly living on their own. From a young age. No family or cousins or anything. Max evolved into a Jolteon btw.

I feel like the only thing not changing completely is Jet’s backstory, because HONESTLY. It’s the most grounded. I completely overhauled Shun’s personality, gave April more personality, changed everything with Max, gave them actual parental figures (well not Shun, his Parents stays borderline disowned, but the rest do have parental figures) and in general made the story like- not seem like it was written by a 11 year old.

Adaman x Female Reader: Caretaker Adaman

You were sick with a bad cold. You wanted to do some research, but you felt like a Graveler used Rollout on you. Adaman finds out and offers to take care of you.

“Goom! Goomy Goom!” Your shiny Goomy, Little Rai, was nudging you to wake up. You do, but you could barely open your eyes; the bright sunlight causing your head to ache and the right eye was practically stuck shut. You noticed your nose was congested and throat was badly sore. “Oh, great,” you groaned, “I’b sick.” You hear a knock on the door. You tried to sit up, but your body was aching. “Aah!” you lay back down, then call to whoever was at the door: “Cobe id!” The door opens. It was Rei. “Hey, (Y/N), you coming to do your research?” You rolled over to see him and he notices your face. “Ooh! Are you okay? You don’t look so good.” Little Rai approaches Rei. “Goomy. Goo, Goom.” he tells Rei. “Oh…” Rei looks back at you, laying with a miserable look on your face; your nose dripping with mucus. “Okay, I’ll let Professor Laventon know not to expect you today. Just rest it off and hope you get better.” He gives you a sad smile before leaving your quarters.

About two hours in the day had flown. Adaman was walking to Jubilife Village to find you. He goes inside Galaxy Hall to meet up with Laventon. “Mr. Professor?” he speaks. Laventon sees Adaman in the doorway. “Ah, young Adaman,” he says, “what brings you?” “Well,” Adaman says, looking around the professor’s lab, “is (Y/N) around? I’m looking for her.” Professor Laventon had a disappointed look on his face. “She’s sick, Adaman,” he said, “she’s in her quarters resting. It’s a really bad cold.” Adaman then grew worried. He couldn’t stand the thought of you being sick. “Aww,” he says, “my poor girl.” “Yeah, sorry.” Laventon says. “Aww, it’s no worry,” Adaman said, “I can help take care of her.” Professor Laventon smiles. “At the very least, please do.” Adaman nods and exits the lab, then the building; stopping by his home in the Diamond Settlement, then to your quarters.

You were in the bathroom when Adaman arrived. He walks into your quarters and shuts the door behind him. “(Y/N)?” he calls. Little Rai approaches him. “Goom. Goomy Goo.” he tells him. Adaman nods. “Ah, alright. How is she? Is she okay?” he asks. Little Rai made a sick-looking face, describing how ill you are. Then he asks, “Goomy Goom Goom?” “Yeah,” Adaman says, nodding, “I’m here to help take care of her.” You open the bathroom door to see Adaman there with Rai. Adaman sees you and gets up to walk to you. He looks at your face, then putting a hand to your forehead. “You’re really in bad shape, honey,” he said, “you have a nasty fever, your nose is as red as an Umbreon’s eyes and your eyes are bloodshot. How does your body feel?” You were shivering from having those body aches. “S-s-sore.” you manage to say, your voice in a completely raspy and hoarse state. You turned your head away and started to cough. Adaman reached for your chest and rubbed it gently. “There, there,” he speaks gently, “it’s gonna be all right. Let’s get you back to bed, okay? I’m gonna take care of you.”

Adaman put his arm around and helped walk you back to your futon. He carefully laid you down on it, sat next to you and took a thermometer out of his satchel. “Here, put this under your tongue.” he kindly requests. You partially open your mouth and lifted up your tongue; Adaman sticking the thermometer there. After a minute, the result came up. Adaman took the thermometer out of your mouth and inspected it. “Ooh, that’s bad.” he said. Then you sneezed; snot dripping out of your nose. Adaman quickly pulled out a tissue and wiped it. “Bless you.” he says softly. Then your head started aching. You put a hand to your head. “Owwww….” you whined. Adaman then looked in his satchel for a remedy for headaches; about the same kind a Psyduck takes, but this one’s for humans. He pulls out a pill and hands you a glass of water with the pill. “Here, this’ll help your headache.” he says. You sit up to take the pill and to wash it down with water. You lay back down after that. Adaman lays by you and gently rubs your shoulder. “Rest it off, sweetheart,” he says, “I’ll make you some soup and tea later, okay?” You nod slowly as you answer in a hoarse and weak tone, “Okay.”

It was 4pm and you peeked your eyes open to see Adaman putting a pot on the burner along with a kettle. He sees you looking at him and smiles at you, warmly. “I’m getting your meal made for you,” he says, “how’s your head?” You rubbed your eyes. “It’s better dow,” you groan, “but before I eat, I deed to pee.” “Oh, alright. I’ll help you up.” Adaman says as he comes to help stand you up and walk your trembling self to the bathroom. You go in to do your business while Adaman goes back to cooking. When you were done, Adaman was done making your soup and tea. He helps you to sit down and drapes his jacket over your shoulders. He then sits down beside you and rubs your back as you try eating your soup; blowing on it before taking the spoon to your mouth. The warmth of the soup felt good on your sore throat as well as warming your hungry tummy. You weren’t feeling to good to even think about breakfast the moment you woke up this morning, so you had been hungry all day until now; eating the nicely-made bowl of soup made by your caring and loving boyfriend.

You finished your soup and got to your tea. Adaman had made a piping hot pot of Sitrus Berry tea with a diffuser of medicinal leek shreds and two spoonfuls of honey. You drank it slowly. The warmth of the tea felt just as good on your throat as did the soup. Adaman was massaging your shoulders as you were drinking your tea. His working hands felt so good on your sore body. “How does that feel, love?” he asks you. You set your cup down and breathe deeply as you answer, “So good. Could you also do by back?” Adaman gives your ear a soft kiss and says, “Of course, dear. Let’s get you back to the futon.” He helps you up and walks you back to your futon once again. You lay down on your stomach and Adaman gets right to massaging your back. That felt even better. Your incredibly sore body deserved that. Adaman was applying pressure going down your back with his thumbs. He knew you were ticklish, but he was extra careful with you. “How’s that, sweetheart?” he asks you. “So good.” you said, relaxing your aching muscles as Adaman continues to massage you.

You later on took a bath Adaman ran for you, then you were nestled in your comfortable sleepwear; in your futon. Adaman changed your bedding before you got into it so you have a nice, clean sheet and pillow to lay on. Then he gives you some medicine and puts a cooling rub on your chest. Sometime after all that, you fell asleep. Adaman decided to stay in with you to make sure you would be okay. You knew he cared so much about you; you couldn’t be more grateful having such a caring boyfriend.

PMD Hero and Partner Week Day 2: Flowers

Day 2 of Hero and Partner Week! So today the topics were homes, flowers, and favorite scenes. Now this one I had a hard time picking which one to do cause I had a lot of ideas. But then I remembered Sky Peak from Explorers of Sky and it hit me! So today this will be of my Explorers of Sky OC team, Team Truth that consists of Hero Aura the Riolu, partner Blazer the Chimchar, and their third member and friend Amu the Skitty. But this will only have Aura with a few familiar faces.

“Come on guys, we're almost there!”

“That's what you said last time!”

“Well this time I mean it!” Aura was grinning standing on Sky Peak Summit Path behind her were.

“Oh come on Luna it's not that bad.” Celebi smiled.

“Celebi you and Dusknoir can't talk, you can fly and he can float!” Luna the shiny Umbreon pouted.

“You never complained when we did this kind of climbing back in the future.” Grovyle smirked.

“We never climbed these big mountains, Grovyle!” Luna countered. Aura snickered at the usual teasing bickering before looking to Dusknoir.

“I still can't believe you never came here even though you've been here as long as me.” She remarked.

“At the time the mountain and even Shaymin Village was closed off from outsiders. I had only heard stories about it.” Dusknoir admitted.

“Ah well you’ll be in luck to see the top.” Aura grinned. “It just has to be my most favorite spot ever.”

“All the more reason to see it ourselves.” Grovyle remarked, patting his friend’s back. Aura smiled; she had been eternally grateful her old friends were here with her and grateful her teammates gave her this time to spend some time with her friends and getting to know Dusknoir. Soon though they finally reached the summit Luna flopped on the ground with a groan.

“Finally!” She gasped.

“Wasn't so bad.” Celebi smiled, giggling at the glare she got from Luna. Grovyle chuckled but then took notice of the pink flowers that were in bloom around them.

“These are…” He began.

“Gracidea Flowers.” Aura answered with a smile. “Special flowers that only bloom up here on Sky Peak. Shaymins like Shay use them to change to their sky form but you also give a bouquet of these to those you are grateful to as thanks since it looks like Shaymin the Gratitude pokemon.”

“Oh how lovely.” Celebi smiled.

“It is a wonderful custom.” Dusknoir agreed.

“Heh glad you think so but that isn't the only thing I wanted to show you.” Aura grinned. “Come on and you'll see the true treasure of Sky Peak.”

Curious, the future pokemon followed Aura until standing at the summit lookout as she smiled.

“Now start forward and look up.” She told them. They did so and they gasped awed and breathless by the enchanted and beautiful view of Sky Peak from the pure blue sky to be even able to see the bright and colorful stars from above.

“Oh my….” Luna breathed.

“Amazing…” Grovyle whispered.

“Beautiful…” Celebi gasped softly.

“No doubt if we had been in that future we would never be able to witness this.” Aura replied with a serene smile. “That's why after your return this was the very first place I wanted to show you guys.”

Aura then heard choked sounds and glanced to see Dusknoir staring at the view with tears in his one eye holding in sobs. But as the emanating pokemon Aura could sense all the emotions he was feeling. Awe, wonder, joy, pain, and so much guilt. Guilt that he had been part of a tragedy that would've taken something like this away. Grovyle had told Aura what had happened after he and Luna took Dusknoir back to the future with them and what Dusknoir was going through. In ways Aura understood Dusknoir’s reasonings and fears despite not having anything, to just disappear would frighten anyone. Survival was a natural instinct hence why she never truly held any grudges from the wild pokemon of the future and that included Dusknoir as well.

She chose not to say anything and only patted Dusknoir’s back for he wasn't alone anymore now. And now he didn’t need to feel ashamed for wanting to be alive. A feeling she knew all too well after once thinking she had been the only survivor of that dark future. Then Aura felt a tap on her shoulder making her look to see Celebi smiling, holding out a Gracidea flower to her much to the human- turned Riolu’s surprise. Then she saw Grovyle do the same, then Luna, and even Dusknoir. Surprised for a moment Aura smiled, taking each flower from them she held her own small bouquet of Gracidea flowers while they all stood silently with smiles watching the treasured view of Sky Peak.
