I am really confused about this game. Is it like "Doki doki literature club" ? the game seems to break the fourth wall after getting bad endings and someone speaks in red text. Is it Ren and is he stuck in the game like Monica?Or is he and Redacted separate people, with him being a game character,but Redacted being some sort of entity who's stuck in the void of the game,or in it's code,and acknowledges that it's a game and someone's playing it and they speak to the player, not the game's protag?

✦゜ANSWERED: 14 Days With You is like 14 Days With You. It's not meant to be similar to DDLC in any way, and Ren isn't supposed to be like Monika or any other self-aware character.

Please don't associate 14DWY with other games just because they share similar tropes. /lh

But!! To answer your question: Ren isn't aware that Angel and the player are separate people. As of right now, he considers Angel and you as the same entity, and speaks to you as though you're part of his universe.

Ren is aware that his entire existence only comes into fruition whenever you play the game — but to him, that's considered normal — the same way getting wifi from trees and not discovering 80% of the ocean is considered normal for us. Nothing is out of place for him, and the way he interacts with his environment doesn't seem weird or out of place for him.

The Dead Ends are the only time Ren breaks the fourth wall, but it's still a massive WIP and there's not enough content for it to make much sense yet. But once more Days get released, this will be further explained!!

Some price comfort canons for my friends who need it today

While you’re in the middle of a break down, he’ll grab you by the shoulders or neck rest your forehead against his yell in your face whatever it is to pull you out of the moment but when you’re out of danger he’s quick to pull you into his shoulder and let you sob in his embrace hell he’ll even sob with you and once you collect yourself he’s there to calm you down whether it be by placing kisses all over your face or rocking you in his embrace while placing kisses on top of your head.

Imagine him saying the classical line “you broken?” to you during every mission and getting so used to a quick response until one day the response doesn’t come at all and you hear him saying the line over and over again as realization dawns on his face before he switches over from his professional tone to the voice he uses when the two of you are alone, begging for you to say with him, to not dare leave him

Price who’s ever so set on keeping his work life and private life separated but will always have his eyes glued onto you while out on a mission, will stay covering your back the entire time you’re scouring an area, will use his body as a shield to protect you from getting hurt in any way

Never blames you for getting upset about something, just doesn’t want to see you get hurt in the process, will literally wrestle you down to the ground so you can’t run away and do something stupid while he’s got this look on his face like he’s the one in pain all while soothing words tumble past his lips like “I know I know it’s okay my boy easy easy”

Imagine you being known as the troublesome soldier, the one who always gets kicked out of teams, or causes some issues during a mission but Price never lets you take any flack for it because he‘ll be damned if he lets anyone bash on his boy and even if you did something wrong he’d scold you in private and defend you in front of the rest of the squad (also imagine what a sight the two of you making while he’s scolding you, you’re basically towering over the older man and you’re twice his size yet none of that matters because he’ll scold you until you realize how important it is that you stay alive, he’s not letting himself lose the most important person in his life

Price who never lets anything get to him especially during interrogations since he’s learned the tactics to make someone crack but as soon as your name is mentioned he loses it, forgetting everything he’s learned and only caring for your safety getting all up in the persons face, daring them to repeat their words to him

Imagine not just being Price’s other half but also being his most trusted partner on the field where the two of you work together like a well oiled machine, knowing what the one needs without having to say it knowing what the other one is thinking just by looking at each other staying basically glued to one another during the entire mission

Uhh. To put it simply… ITS COMPLICATED. i haven’t exactly fleshed her story out so its all over the place <\3

But to give you a very brief rundown:

Pan is brash, entitled, reckless, and generally unnaproachable. She’s uh. She’s got issues. Partially because of her upbringing by her parents who are both messy in their own ways.

Because of everything surrounding her parents, people are wary of her, thinking she’s dangerous in some way just like them. This ostracisation combined with a slew of other things has made her distant and bitter towards others. And her sour attitude does not help her image whatsoever.

nobody likes her, she doesn't like anybody (save for her parents). It's a lose-lose situation all throughout. BUT LIKE I dunno maybe things will turn out better in the future for her. If I'm feeling nice that is.
