Lann and Harrow! Her design is so cute! And Lann is a lucky guy. So I'll bite and send some questions from that SHIP Questions prompt! "What was their first impression of each other?", "Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like?", "Who said “I love you” first?"

"What was their first impression of each other?"

Harrow was, much to her own embarrassment, somewhat fascinated by Lann's appearance? Both in a "I have never since someone like this before" (since this was her first time seeing a mongrel) and a "oh no he's hot" kinda way. He quickly cemented himself in her mind as a good person for his drive to save the mongrel kids, so Harrow had no problem lending a helping hand.

Lann is even more embarrassed about his first impression of Harrow, because his gut reaction was that she might be a demon cultist. A very pretty one, but still a cultist. However, his doubts vanished when she stood by him and revealed the Light of Heaven to Sull so he'd gather the mongrels to rescue the kids. He decided in that moment that Harrow was the kind of person he'd follow anywhere - even to his own death.

Lann and Harrow's official first date requires a bit of context but it is very much worth it and results in the first "I love you" for the couple, so buckle in!

Harrow is actually the firstborn daughter of a Mendevian nobleman who wasn't very keen on having a tiefling daughter and kept Harrow hidden for most of her childhood until he ultimately handed her over to Areelu Vorlesh to be subjected to her experiments in a bargain for more riches. Harrow's mother was unable to prevent her daughter's abuse as she was a victim herself, but she was fortunately able to escape to Drezen many years later with Harrow's baby brother and they made peace with each other and healed their relationship.

Due to their duties as Knight-Commander and Chief of the Mongrel Tribe respectively, Harrow and Lann were often together, but rarely had time for anything that might constitute an actual date. But Lann had managed to clear a gap in Harrow's schedule with Daeran's help and had asked Harrow out - just a simple walk around Drezen, stretch their legs, relax a little - and Harrow was ecstatic!

However, when the time came around for the date, Lann got a summons to Harrow's chambers, where he her found holding her teary eyed baby brother. Harrow's mother was feeling unwell - nothing serious, just needed some rest - but Harrow's brother refused to go with anyone that wasn't Harrow's mother or Harrow herself, leaving her as the only person available to take care of the child. Harrow apologized profusely for ruining the date - but Lann didn't let her finish the thought, saying that she didn't ruin anything, and to grab something warm for the kid to wear :)

So they went on the date, walking along Drezen chatting away while Harrow bounced her baby brother on her hip, who became more and more curious about Lann, and eventually started laughing and smiling at him!! And Lann started talking directly to Harrow's brother when he laughed, asking for his input, considering him seriously, and Harrow's heart was melting so damn much.

When they returned and put Harrow's brother to sleep, Harrow watched Lann adjust the blanket, and couldn't help but whisper those three little words.

if you want to know the state of my mind today - I was zoning out for a bit, not really consciously thinking about anything specific, and then I suddenly noticed I had tears in my eyes. why? well, because my subconscious supplied me with the concept of sober Ted Lasso. specifically him doing his sad little smile, going "well, I thought I'd try something new" and declining a whiskey someone is about to pour him. and that's enough to make me cry
