So because half of my Pacific Rim special interest involves making aus, new au time!
I call this one the Ricochet AU. It's split into two parts, the prequel/prologue that I call Alter Eon, which is based on @/eeriedragone’s original au, and the aftermath. This au is a runoff/addendum to my Crestfallen Au, which is my canon-compliant au of Uprising. (I’ll add a link to Alter Eon when it's published) I'll give the summary for the aftermath below, though be aware it contains slight spoilers for Alter Eon.
In Pacific Rim: The Black, there is a Kaiju-human hybrid who simply goes by “Kaiju b0y”. I’ve decided to take my own spin on that concept. Some time after Alter Eon, Newton detected the presence of a kaiju along the southern coast of Japan, but it felt off as it seemed to be stationary. The PPDC investigate, and to their surprise, they find what appears to be an unconscious human boy. However, they quickly learn his DNA is far from human. He’s taken back to the Shatterdome where he is tested, and is given the nickname “George”. Scientists found he had DNA traits that matched both humans and Kaiju, though unlike Kaiju DNA, it was not cloned. The boy awakens sometime later, and when it's determined he is not a threat, he is questioned. George only has vague memory of originating from the Antverse, along with general human knowledge the Precursors “programmed” into him. He also has the ability to shift into a Kaiju form, which he willingly demonstrates in a test chamber. Shortly after, he is introduced to Newton, uniting the only known Kaiju-Human hybrids. They talk, and Newton, who has recently learned how to shift between forms, explains himself and his history. He notes that while they are both part Kaiju, they do not possess the “hive-mind”. Newton hypothesizes that if they drift, they should be able to recreate it, as he connected to the hive-mind when he drifted with a Kaiju. Additionally, they may be able to search into George’s psyche, and discover the truth of his origins. After developing a modified neural bridge, the two drift successfully. It is revealed George was created as a prototype of some kind, but they are not able to find out what for. Something went wrong in the process of George’s creation, and was discarded, explaining why he is not under the Precursor’s control. Afterwards, a neural link is established between the two. From there, the hybrids along with K-science work towards finding a breach to the Antverse in hopes of defeating the Precursors once and for all; before they regain control over Newton and George.
Like Kaiju b0y, George is able to control his human and Kaiju form with ease, and is skilled in terms of physical altercation. However, he doesn't immediately know everything about the human world, which Newton teaches him. Over time, he becomes something of a mentor figure to George as they work together. George’s Kaiju form is known as Ricochet (hence the au's name), and Newton’s is Kynmatik (mostly just because I wanted to give him his own Kaiju name hskgbakhg).
Also, I made a little picrew to give an idea on what George looks like.
Additionally, he's able to make certain parts of his body glow blue from his blood, such as his eyes

Can someone clear this up for me coz I'm a little lost?
Whenever I see people mention Tim's parents they say that they were good parents and if you say they were abusive or even just bad then its fanon and you've obviously never read a comic.
But from what I have read of Tim's Robin comics, they were bad parents...
They were both super neglectful, often going on long trips and leaving Tim behind with a nannie I presume. The only thought Janet seemed to spare a thought for Tim was when she was about to die she went "I wish we spent more time with our son".
Jack seemed to only want anything to do with Tim when he felt guilty for neglecting him and wanted to alleviate that guilt. He constantly flips between wanting to be involved with Tim, to taking his anger out on him, to completely ignoring him again. Tim seems to have more of a relationship with his stepmother Dana half the time.
I'm not saying they physically abused him, but neglect is still a form of abuse, and even if it wasn't as severe as I recall, Jack's constant interest and then complete lack of interest had to make things difficult. And I know that Tim being Robin wasn't helping with his relationship with his father. As far as I can tell, Jack stopping Tim from being Robin was the best thing he did for his son, and the most involved in his life he's ever been.
I'm not saying that Jack and Janet were monsters, but I always see people saying if you say that his parents were bad - or even just less than great - to him then you're crazy. Genuinely, am I missing something?

friends at the table fans are absolutely the most insufferable type of fan. no question about it. we KNOW we're insufferable too, and very loud about it. the niche we have carved ourselves is too great. a PODCAST (hard media for people to get into) about playing ROLEPLAYING GAMES (weirdo nerd interest to get into) and not even the mainstream ttrpgs but the indie ones that 75% of the already niche weirdo subculture don't know about, and every season is about insane gay people and grappling with huge philosophical concepts and the world changing and also freaky weird shit like a guy who is all bees and mechs that keep you alive for a hundred years. and yet its the best media you could ever consume and you desperately need other people to talk to about it otherwise the little bugs in your brain will DIE. of course we'll fight a war with the shrek cats and be fucking insane about it. of course we will

[WIP] Some more updates!!!
I've been quiet recently, but got a bunch of stuff in the works for y'all!!
I'm still working on those paper puppets for a little project regarding intertwined opposites (Possibly one of the most ambitious things I've ever worked on so far) and found a proper way to introduce that new au I'm working on!!
Here are two more paper puppets for the big pmv
And a few sneak peaks for the new au!!
(Doodles+notes alongside a silly little meme with a sprite edit of pewpaw)
I'm working on an info post for it, progress has been slow however since I wanna prioritize the pmv again (Started it on june, stagnated a long period, and went back to work on it. I'm dead set on finishing it this summer AND stubborn/silly).
[Personal reminder: Beetle stop starting wips when you're already busy/silly]

So, this may sound dumb, but what is the premise behind this AU? I’m obsessed with your redesigns, but I’m confused on what it all means :’D
Pomni fights bosses.
Pomni gets killed.
Pomni gets brought back to life by Caine,
Pomni fights bosses.
Repeat until successful.
Okay all jokes aside, If you're talking about the overarching plot of Harlequin AU, it's about Pomni, a Combat Harlequin Puppet who's taken it up to herself to destroy the physical shells of the overburdened Puppets who are scattered all over the City, so that they may get some momentary peace and regain their lost sanity, and humanity. Caine builds them a newer Puppet body after that, and then the process of rehabilitation begins.
Some bosses become allies, some are still too dangerous to be brought back and need more time, but some unfortunate ones can be lost forever.
Something I never explained fully is the fact that these "Puppets", are manufactured robots, powered by the souls of "volunteers" (more on that later), and they were tasked with helping humanity's workload. Unfortunately, in true human nature, something went wrong down the lines and now, the "City of Circuits" is in near shambles.
Pomni is given the locations of each Puppets and sent out to missions by Caine, who dubs himself as the "Puppetmaster", and had never really had the chance to start this project until Pomni came along and insisted she fights for this cause, because this project was never a one-man job.
However... Pomni soon realizes that there may be more to her story than just being a machine brought to life to fight, and that the Puppetmaster she's known for years as her friend may be holding some secrets behind her back, too.

okay, inspired by @dragon-spaghetti's chronic pain Husk headcanons, I present Angel with atypical migraines
Angel getting knocked off balance after a few grueling weeks at the studio (because stress makes them worse), but like with the kind of vertigo that makes you feel like you're floating and untethered, but not spinning
Husk notices when something's off because Angel will stand up from the bar and pause with a hand outstretched before he starts walking, like he needs to recalibrate real quick
he lays on top of Husk with his face in Husk's chest because it's dark and then he'll forbid Husk from moving because that makes it worse, so Husk just kinda rests a hand on his back while they cuddle
