he was just a forgettable little bluebird. nobody even remembered his name.

In the void remedy au did root really want to divorce pk? The man is a disaster either way.

Overall, Her children are undead husks (they are less hollow conditioned than in game but they lack the light of the gods that created them) her own light was tainted by the void remedy and Wyrm is goofing off with another god trying to kill a moth which is taking ALOT of attention away from her and said children

My personal definitions are actually very similar! I was asking for fantasy reasons so… eheh. In my opinion, of course:

Hypnosis is a form of light conditioning for suggestions, altering behavior, etc. It’s a temporary state that can have long-term effects.

Brainwashing is heavier conditioning. It’s a permanent change with usually permanent effects— it’s changing someone into someone else, with variance in how drastic of a change it is.

Mind Control is having absolute control over someone’s thoughts, actions, behavior, etc. Little to no conditioning is actually involved. This is also usually temporary.

My favorite is brainwashing. As much as I love the other two, my first “kink fic” was about brainwashing between two of my characters. It wasn’t supposed to be, but I got frustrated with the feelings I was getting from it and it became its own beast. You could say it’s sentimental, I guess? One of those characters is still a victim of my mischief.

I absolutely get how you define them, Anon. Hypnosis by itself is very easy to define, but Mind Control and Brainwashing have a lot more nitty-gritty to detail from their root concept. I really like your distinction between Mind Control being temporary and Brainwashing being permanent. I'm picking up what you're putting down.
