Luck and Magna balance each other out perfectly because they both see in each other what the other can't. Magna has a big heart but due to the prejudice he's been through, he doesn't understand how strong he is and and due to the fact that Luck has been constantly praised for his strength but has been emotionally neglected throughout his life, Luck doesn't understand how to use his heart. This is why Luck is the one who's constantly challenging Magna and it's what makes the hug between the two of them so important. They both depend on the other to help find the love and strength the other lacks and this is what really makes the both of them an unstoppable force.

Most halla can run once they’ve figured out how to stand. The knowledge of it, the wind and the burn, sticks tight at the back of Renehn’s throat but he swallows around it easily. There’s something in the teaching, the waiting, in being slow even as his heart races forward. 

“For as long as you’ll let me.” It comes too softly, the words and returning smile both. Renehn lifts a hand and brushes his knuckles across Dorian’s cheek, “It is an excellent one.” 

Dorian’s smile blooms, “You do always know what to say.” But his eyes don’t entirely meet Renehn’s.

Kälte der Erde hat irgendwie nix dazu beigetragen, Adams und Leos Charaktere sympathischer wirken zu lassen, ich finde sogar im Gegenteil, es hat ganz schön viel kaputt gemacht.

Adam wird als Arschloch dargestellt, der Geheimnisse für sich behält, sogar vor seinem besten Freund. Es wird null ein Motiv dafür angedeutet, null. Das kann den Zuschauer nur ratlos zurücklassen.

Leo kommt als übergriffiger bester Freund rüber, der es eigentlich nur gut meint, aber Grenzen nicht akzeptieren kann und ständig passiv aggressiv ist (ich sag nur read the room, Leo).

Ich verlange eine Aufklärung im nächsten Teil bzw auch Auflösung der Situation. Entweder ist Adam wirklich ein Arsch oder er hat ganz hervorragende, ehrenwerte Gründe, warum er das Geld behalten hat und Geheimnisse vor Leo hat (vielleicht könnte man hier auch mal trust issues thematisieren, die mit Adams upbringing und weniger mit Leo zu tun haben).

In einer idealen Welt wünsche ich mir auch, dass Leo mal einen Schritt zurück macht und Adams Grenzen akzeptiert. Diese Wut auf Adam, weil der nicht so ist wie Leo das will oder nicht so handelt wie Leo das will - auch das ist von Leos Seite aus toxisch. Menschen machen, was sie wollen, und Taten sprechen lauter als Worte.

Ich würde mir wünschen, dass Leo Adam "in Ruhe lässt", bis dieser seine Nähe aktiv sucht und *auch will* bzw auch zulassen kann. Ohne Wut von Leo. Ohne weitere Vorwürfe (not an Adam apologist, but assuming he has his reasons and none of them have something to do with Leo).

Aber klar ist auch, so wie sich das in Kälte der Erde entwickelt und geendet hat, so kann es nicht weitergehen. Damit ist niemand glücklich.

Ich will nicht, dass Leo aufgrund falscher Erwartungen und schon fast blinder Hingabe immer wieder verletzt wird. Und ich will nicht, dass Adam sich von Leos Liebe bedrängt fühlt.

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.
