things I would love to read: EMT!Ian and ER nurse!Mickey who meet at the hospital when Ian is on a call bringing a patient to the hospital—maybe they get along at first, maybe they don't, but after they run into each other a few times Ian starts looking forward to when they end up at Mickey's hospital (no he's not been obsessively trying to figure out Mickey's shift rotation, why do you ask)

and one day he and his partner have dropped off a patient and it's lunch and they're starving, so they decide to eat at the hospital since they're already there, and Ian sees Mickey at a table outside, and there's nowhere else to sit because the weather is nice and the employees are taking advantage of the sunshine

so Ian is all "mind if I sit here?" and Mickey is like "I ain't stoppin' ya, red" and it's awkward at first but then they somehow manage to break the ice—this may lead to Mickey showing Ian where on the smoke-free hospital campus is a sneaky place for them to light up and share a cigarette 😉

anyway the boys end up bonding and chatting and Ian finds an excuse to get Mickey's number and it'd just be cute as hell <3

I think this is a sign I should wear my glasses more. But I never do.... Anyways, thanks to @callivich and @galladrabbles for this prompt.

“I’m fuckin’ old, Man.”

Mickey sits at the kitchen table. His eyes are squinting at the mail on the table, the names barely legible. He runs tattooed fingers through his hair, noticing more threads of grey. He debates whether he wants to wear the frames, or stay in the comfort of blurry vision.

Ian snorts. “They’re just glasses, Mick. Don’t be so dramatic. I think you look hot. Like a sexy librarian.”

“Books get you off, Red?”

“Mmm,” Ian hums, getting that devious glint in his eye. “Speak English to me,” he flirts, pushing aside the mail on the table.

this might be rlly controversial, but i don’t really like the ‘reunion between Mickey and Yevgeny’ trope. i think it’s such a sweet idea, but at the end of the day i don’t think it would be at all good for mickey. he wasn’t a good dad to yev, but he did try. in my opinion, he didn’t love him like a dad should love his kid and he’s allowed to not want to have to look after a child born in that way. there is no debate that svetlana is a very good mother and loved yevgeny, so even though her and mickey are in a similar situation regarding the rape, she loved the child and mickey just didn’t. sure, mickey cared about him, and maybe given time he could love him but i just don’t see him wanting the baby back. and that sucks for the baby and maybe svetlana if she struggles being a single parent (that old man ain’t doin shit).

I do have really complicated feelings about this one though, so please don’t come at me. i’m not hating on svetlana, im not saying it should all be her responsibility because she’s the mother, but i am saying that mickey shouldn’t HAVE to be responsible for a child born in that way.

Mickey sat up slowly and carefully on the side of the bed, as not to wake its other occupant who was currently enjoying the sleep of the innocent. Mickey glanced at the digital clock on the stand and ran a hand over his face. He hadn’t drank like that in a long time. In fact, the night before…fuck, the whole DAY before was all a blur. He could only remember trying to make plans with Ian then… It all came back to him…

Mickey lay back down and cradled Yevgeny close as “Don’t” echoed through his mind. Ian was gone.

The lines had begun to blur.

Ian came, which always set him off, too. Then his mouth was at his shoulder, nipping like a claim but lived as something more affectionate. It's supposed to be a fuck. No kissing. No softness.

And then he started fucking it up.

It began with hands rubbing up the back of his hair. Hands slowly grazing softly down his back.

Then it was lips. Barely there.

His cock was buried now, pulsing inside. Filling him up. Messy and perfect. Then he felt that tongue. That heat. That devotion.

Now he can't live without it.

Ian had a manic episode last week. At first, he was just a bit more energetic than usual. Then, before anyone could grab it, he was having full blown discussions with the Shim. Mickey practically dragged him to the doctor and she had to change his meds. Afterwards, everything was a blur. The only thing Ian remembered vividly when he came back to reality was a conversation:

"I'm sorry I'm such a fuckup."

"You're not a fuckup. And never apologise for this shit, it's not like you asked for it."

His tears were interrupted by a kiss.

"I love you."

He knew his memories will blur but so soon? It was about half a year ago when he visited him the last time but he didn't even remembered his voice. It was the first thing you forgot about a person. His laugh, his lovely whispers, the way he says his name. It was the voice Mickey missed the most. Of cause his smell and his eyes and his touch and his kisses, too but the voice was always his favorite about Ian Gallagher.

The first thing he does after a lot of shit was to call him.

"Miss me?"
