Day 5: Rabbit, Reclaim

AGJGDFJF FINALLY IT'S DAY 5 SO I CAN POST THIS

For some reason everytime i draw him he looks so young because i'm accidentally overcorrecting since i'm used to drawing older characters. So unfortunately he looks way younger than i meant him to lol, whoops.

But wait there's more- AHAHAHA

While I did initially plan this for GGY week I eventually got the idea to use this as an excuse to draw other GGY designs, soo..

(Not sure why tumblr formatted it that way with 1 of them big but it doesn't matter lol)

I've been wanting to do this for a while, I put the tags of each person next to their design but ofc I'm still gonna tag them in the post itself so you can see their art for yourself if you haven't already. But I enjoyed each of these in their own ways so if you don't mind I think I'm gonna type a bit of text next to them..

@chipistrate This was one of the first I drew out of these, the design was pretty fun to draw but sorry if I messed up a few details, it was a bit difficult lol. The mask and goggles are really fun to draw and they make for a cool design, along with all the glowing blue. (and yes, I tried to subtly include the heelies lol)

@lunzi0 This was the first fursuit one I did lol. I adore the little stars in the design, they personalize it so well and make it really unique. I wanna try this design again since I feel like the other ones show my improvement a bit better, but I hope you can appreciate the effort I put in on my first attempt <3

@carouselrabbit This one was really fun to draw, I absolutely love the eye shape/lashes, it stands out and I always love drawing eyes with a bit of eyeliner lol, the daycare theme legwarmers is a cool nod to the balloon boy arcade machine being connected to them, and was just a fun addition in general lol, I like the style of legwarmers what can I say, fnaf changed my fashion sense a bit. also the subtle paraells to freddy's design is a nice way to connect a bit to gregory himself.

@puhpandas I can't remember if I talked about this design last time I drew it but, overall I'm really happy with how this came out, it's such an indicator of improvement since I started drawing this and I'm glad I was able to draw it better than last time lol. All the patchwork and similarities to Vanny's suit work really well, and the rabbit you chose to base it off of was a good fit, the colors make it a bit more difficult to shade for but i like detail lol, hope you like it too :)

@dykevanny I knew I wanted to do this since I started but I wasn't sure if I'd have time, and I'm glad I did! I hope you don't mind I combined aspects from the first design I saw and the second one you replied to my ask with, I liked the big purple sleeves lol. (I just realized after doing all the shading I forgot to include the oil splatter on his jacket, sorry!) It was definitely a bit difficult due to the head shape being so different but.. fluffy. i love drawing fluff. And the glowing swirl on the goggles, the shape of the ears, I love a lot about this design. :D

I have a hard time with writing compliments but I wanted to get some of those thoughts out, some of the things I like about these designs apply to multiple lol. I adore every one of these designs but I find it hard to put into words what I enjoy about them, hope the original creators are happy with these. <3

I also kept the ggys without as much lighting effects on a separate file, I felt like I should add them since they're a bit brighter lol, makes them look different.

Okay now that I've gotten all that- Sorry this post is so long! I didn't think it'd end up taking up so much space lol. Buut.. working on this drawing and thinking about it and potential context behind it gave me an au idea for it, but I'll put it under the cut since I understand most people probably won't care and just wanna see the drawings lol.

Idk if I'm confident enough to write for it but I'll give a bit of a summary.. I'll keep it under the cut for people who aren't interested and just wanna see the art though lol.

After the main events of SB and Ruin, now that the mimic's been set free, Cassie's taken control of by what's left of Vanny, using her as a new host. But with Cassie being the only human left alive down there, after being reawakened, Dr. Rabbit has nowhere left to go but back to his old host.

Vanessa, Freddy, and Gregory hadn't gone back to the Pizzaplex after ruin, but they were trying to figure out a plan to get Cassie back safely. One night after Freddy and Gregory disappear, Vanessa leaves to go find them. As dangerous as the pizzaplex is, it's her best guess for where they might've gone. She doesn't want to think about what could've happened to them, in denial for the worst case scenario. She tries to keep herself calm by telling herself they probably just left to go back for Cassie, maybe they didn't want her stopping them.. but deep down she knows it can't be that simple. She knows something's off, even if she's not ready to admit it.

When returning to the pizzaplex, she brought along her own V.A.N.N.I. mask, though unlike the one Cassie used, it was clear of the mimic's influence. After all, she was going to need some way to travel through potential blocked routes.

By the time she found Gregory, she'd still been wearing the mask, seeing him down the end of a dark hallway. He looked confused, afraid, his mind was a wreck of conflicting emotions. She started rushing towards him, happy to see him okay, until he finally spoke.

"You need to get out of here."

She stepped back, taking off the mask, only to be faced with the worst case scenario.

It was a wreck, covered in stains and tears, but it was still recognizable. He was wearing that old suit again.

As he waved, she could see Freddy's claws peeking out from the doorway, as the two stepped closer towards her.

So, she did what he told her to do, and started running. She could hear a faint voice coming from the mask, and put it back on before finding somewhere she could hide.

It was his voice again, telling her which way to go.

I guess that was the dramatic way to summarize the main idea behind it, lol. Basically Gregory and Dr. Rabbit work the way Sun and Moon work in Ruin, whichever one is in control in the real world, the other is left behind in the AR world. Or at least that's my interpretation of how they worked, considering Sun was always in mask-on scenes and moon was mask-off. I'm not too sure where the plot might go from there, and maybe I'll consider writing for it, I dunno. I've never wrote fanfic before because I get deadly afraid of writing them out of character lol, but maybe?? I have ideas for scenes and premise and stuff but I don't know if I have the confidence to write it.

But anyway! That was just more of a fun side-idea I came up with while working on this, if you read this far thanks, hope you enjoyed :)

i havent actually thought this much about this. i personally think her in the pilot vs her in promening was like. not really a Whole big difference but like...the fact that lizzy now has access to v set her off. shes always been a little unsettling, a little fucking deranged but maybe something happened between ep 1 and 3 thatr was like. lizzy came to her like... hey, one of the disassembly drones came by my bunk the other day. was this the one? (shows doll a pic) and doll just FUcking Loses it . i think she was actively vengeful during the pilot too but YES like ur saying its almost a .grounding thing. everyone here is real and alive. and then at the end of the day she has to go back and face dozens upon dozens upon dozens of corpses that are there because of HER and its liike. idk i imagine shes 18-22 . shes young as hell. and that FUCKS WITH YOU. this is doll to me:

they know damn well her parents are dead but she's just under being eerie enough that no one really suspects her for anything going on. she's relatively normal around lizzy & not aggressive but not outgoing with other students. like to everyone, shes just a normal kid who lost her parents. plenty of kids have lost their parents, considering the murder drones lurking *right outside the bunker.*

i think she would get tired. yeah. she held onto the all consuming debilitating hatred for these genocidal war machines that killed her parents and countless others. then heartbeat happens, and suddenly people are Okay with them??? that would fucking set her OFF. so long, so fucking long shes been holding onto her anger and not being able to do anything about it . BUT NOW SHE CAN. ough ok but then theres those conflicting feelings bcos of uzi. u can see in promening she has SOME sense of... for lack of a better word, humanity in how she treats uzi (hell even tossing lizzy out of the way when she started killing people.) i think she picks and choses who she cares about and then is usually consistent in how she treats them. basically; dont get on her bad side. she's conflicted at the end of ep3 after learning uzi has the solver; but uzi is siding with the murder drones and thats HER loss for being SCHTUPIDDDDDDDD!!!! but then again, she finally has someone who understands what shes going through... but also AUGH..! i have to kill v i HAVE to kill v ive gotten so far i cant give up now FUCK!!!! FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! i think there would be so much of her being conflicted between uzi knows what i feel. but also uzi is siding with the bitch who killed my fucking parents. i think she would just spiral and spiral until dead end comes along and she has a decision to make. and she makes it. and uzi is Fucked and v is Fucked and n and tessa are FUCKEd AND OK TYHIS IS GETTING LONG IM DONE

only way pining is at all silent is if eddie realizes first which. honestly idk if i vibe with that

right lmao. not even for any reason other than that i don't know what it would look like? just a ton of subtle eddie face acting? clearly they're fine with turning his character into whatever but even if he realized, historically, he's more likely to just keep shoving it down and not letting it affect their friendship. which might be fun in some ways but like, not a lot of drama. i can think of a hundred ways this could go without Silent Pining but right now the vision i'm into is (and this will not happen but i'm dreaming) (also it got so long and you didn't even ask but i had to put it under the cut):

buck realizing somehow... either tommy says something when they amicably break up that makes him think - not "you're in love with eddie" but "i don't feel like i can give you what you want" - or maybe buddie get into some kind of minor but very apt Situation as a catalyst, idk. once buck puts it together, he's a general disaster for an episode after because now he DOES know what he wants and he doesn't know how to go after it. very 7x04 but less unhinged - maybe from buck's pov again lmao. he freaks out to maddie about it at the end; he's like, maddie, i think i'm in love with eddie. she soothes him and reminds him of what he and eddie have, and then she asks him, what are you going to do? (she doesn't tell him to tell eddie how he feels; she didn't do it before!) and buck just looks so wide-eyed and conflicted, honestly a little petrified, but he's like, i have to tell him. i need to go. i'll call you later.

he confesses to eddie in the following episode because he's buck, he can't hold it in. and eddie's absolutely floored, he did not see that coming in a million years, but he responds with all the kindness in the world. he says that buck's always going to be his best friend (?!?!?! BEGINNING OF THE END FOR BEST FRIENDISM) and this won't come between them, but he asks for a little time to... figure things out. because he's never given himself enough grace to do that. he just needs time. it's obvious something is up with them - with buck, who's trying very hard to keep it together, and with eddie, who's being mildly awkward; they won't look at each other - and everyone's like, what's happening there? at some point eddie sits down with bobby and they have the most gut-wrenching heart-to-heart you'll ever hear, about god and family and shannon, and they don't talk about buck, but bobby knows it's about buck, too. eddie starts to feel more settled. you can tell that the wheels are turning in his beautiful little head.

next episode, buck and eddie are mostly back to normal. mostly. to buck, hen's like, did you two figure things out? and buck's like uh... yeah! we're all good! cut to a flashback where they're trying to have a beer together at eddie's and it's just like always (except it's not) and then Something That Wouldn't Normally Be Romantic But Feels Romantic happens that takes things from slightly heavy to straight-up awkward. thankfully it's interrupted. maybe maddie calls or something. buck makes a hasty escape. eddie watches him go, lingering. godspeed to buck. he obviously doesn't notice that that's been happening a lot. but it's true, they are mostly back to normal, they're working like a well-oiled machine, they're talking, they're teasing each other, it's fine. buck is just relieved that he didn't ruin everything. the focus isn't really on them anyway, we just get a glimpse to tide us over.

then we get a more eddie-centric episode that's very much focused on eddie and chris and their relationship. maybe chris is going through something, maybe other diazes are involved, who knows. buck isn't really at the forefront, it's about eddie, but he shows up in small ways: chris mentions him a few times (that don't go unnoticed), eddie himself mentions him a few times, etc. either way the chris situation has something to do with their past, shannon, etc. i want eddie to have one good conversation with a family member, maybe pepa or ramon (could be helena, but i would like for them to deal with her in a different way). something that helps him realize he's not going to be alone. something about being there, showing up. i want him to hear that he's a good father and he deserves good things too. something that makes him feel like he can accept his world shattering a little bit if it's for buck. i can't decide whether i want him to actually, like, come out, but i do want it to be clear that he's been Thinking and Introspecting about his identity in the time we haven't seen him.

another episode... finally the 118 get clued in a little bit. this is totally wish fulfillment, but i want so badly for eddie and chim to have some kind of conversation (perhaps hen is there as well)... full circle for eddie telling chim (multiple times) to go after maddie... chim made the call on shannon... plus chim got a front-row seat to this whole disaster... anyway. howdie conversation. eddie says, buck told me he's in love with me. chim's like wtf but then he's like oh... that makes sense... and then we get a callback to the tomorrow isn't promised to anyone conversation. because eddie has known since buck confessed: he loves buck too, badly. it's just that it seemed like there were a thousand reasons why he couldn't have it. he realizes that over the course of this, all of those reasons seem to have fallen away: bobby helped absolve him of his guilt over shannon and his guilt over god; chris helped absolve him of his guilt over fatherhood, over not being able to build the Correct kind of family; the other diazes helped absolve him of his guilt over his desperate wish to not have to do it all alone and to not have to do it exactly right; and hen and chim give him the push to realize he's not actually out of time. things can change. he can be better. he can have good things. the 118 felt like his first good thing in a long time. so.

(meanwhile buck is... well... i don't know what he's doing. probably his own thing, some kind of arc where he realizes he isn't a worthless piece of shit and people love him. i would like him to be in therapy. he can go agonize to tommy. he and eddie continue to have weird moments all the time. haven't thought that far really).

AND THEN. it's the mid-season finale (because i want this to be 8a but i will take 8b as well so it can be the regular finale). eddie asks buck if they can talk later. buck is about to lose his mind. things are all tentative but something has clearly shifted. eddie seems lighter. everyone except buck understands what's going on, somehow. buck had mostly made peace with eddie possibly not saying it back; they're still best friends, the world didn't end, and buck is happy to wait. things are funny and soft. until... THEY get trapped in a BIG SITUATION!!!!!! a possibly-inescapable situation! either it's eddie or it's both of them. eddie doesn't confess in this situation and buck wouldn't let him anyway. instead they finally talk about when eddie got shot + the will, but this time it's eddie realizing what it was like for buck (The Bathena Parallels). he didn't get to see buck's devotion when the well collapsed or when he was bleeding out in the street, but he gets to see it now. buck tells eddie he loves him for the second time ever. we get because, evan 2.0. then they're rescued against all odds obviously.

after the ordeal, they're both exhausted and fucked up and eddie asks buck if he wants to come over. buck says yes, obviously. cue love confession of all time in eddie's kitchen, where eddie's voice and eyes and hands are so gentle. then they kiss like they're trying to eat each other. buddie canon. <3

IM HERE! I SHOULD BE DOING OTHER THINGS BUT IM HERE. Oh yeah and if you are likely to play D&D with me in real life please do not read. PLEASE.

🌍- Setting… hmmm… well we’re gonna talk about hollow tree because I need to regain motivation to work on it. The village they emerge in is very isolated. There used to be other places nearby, but they are completely abandoned. When the tree became active, most people fled the area and found another way of living, but the braver and more adventurous were, in many cases, forced to stay behind. Many generations have passed since then, so the people only know that there were inhabitants of those towns at some point in the past, and that they left because of the tree.

👑 - Rulers. When everyone left, the adventurer’s guild sort of.. took over in many ways. People turned to them for guidance, and the leaders of the guild now control most affairs of the town. This does mean that some abilities of trained rulers, such as monitoring production and keeping crime rates down were half-lost in the transition, and at this point, the leaders in the essential crafts are included in the ruling class, and the adventurer’s guild has lost some of its initial influence.

🏆- So, the end goal. This is kind of muddled because this is brainstorming for a D&D campaign but. The village is afraid of this tree because it leaks raw chaos magic (leaks may have been the wrong word but I’m keeping it now!). If the tree is left alone for too long, with no one traveling into it, monsters will emerge from the tree to attack the town, and occassionally, someone in the town will disappear into the tree during these attacks. Theoretically, the goal of the adventurers (in this case, Grian, Scar, and Gem) would be to stop these invasions and stop the seeping of chaos magic into the world by killing or destroying the source. This gets… a tad complicated.

⌛️- I’m honestly not quite sure what time period this takes place in. I think the realm in the tree is somewhat outside of time, and the village is advanced enough to have writing and whatnot. It’s probably sort of like medieval times, but… this isn’t Earth and everything developed differently

⛪️ - There are a couple of religions within the village. Although, it might be more accurate to call the majority of them cults. There is a dominant religion which I don’t think I’m going to go into too much, but it’s polytheistic and the clash of chaos and order is important. When the tree appeared, the group split, with most people believing that the attacks came as some sort of punishment from a god of death or something, but some people believing that the tree was a manifestation of some unknown and very powerful deity. The latter group devoted themselves to the tree and sought ways to appease it, rules shifting and changing when members were taken. The other group regarded the tree with fear, and most accepted its judgement as random, some seeking to pretend the tree was not there in the hopes that it would ignore them. Oddly enough, this didn’t not work.

Oh yeah and there’s also an underground cult for shits and giggles that worships the lane-oiling machine at a bowling alley. Idk if I will include this in the fic but it will be discoverable in the campaign.

💥- The conflict is definitely between the town/adventurers and the tree and it’s inhabitants. I don’t know what else to say about this. Words.

💣- The climax is triggered by two characters you haven’t met yet, who will be played by Etho and Joel. When they determine that Grian, Scar, and Gem have the abilities, they will lead the group deeper into the forest to find the creature who is causing all of this.

🤫- Big spoiler out of context? It’s just, like, some random old person. And they’ve been asleep the whole time.

🦋- This is hard. Because it’s a D&D campaign, the main characters can’t really have a lot of transformation- that’s determined by the players. The one NPC who I can say has a great deal of character development is Joel and Etho’s son. I can’t decide whether this is gonna be X, Mumbo, or Bdubs. We’ll see. He gets a little more fun at the end though. The other character who would have good development isn’t in the fic, soooo

🤒 - Is there a whump in the wip? See, this is even more difficult because I do plan on almost playing the campaign myself as I go through it. So yeah, someone might almost die or something. There will be stress. NPC friends might die depending on if we make friends with them. We’ll see!

🎧- Oddly enough, I do not have a playlist for this yet. So hold on while I think. It’ll be fast for you but not for me. This is taking a long time but I have one: Afraid of Quiet by Lydia the Bard and Ben Tomalin applies to the creature causing the chaos. Won’t Give Into Darkness by CK9C, but more Won’t Give Into Chaos technically. What words there are fit pretty well. OH! The Milk Carton by Madilyn Mei FITS SO WELL. That’s three. It took me like an hour 😅

🐱- The animals. So on the same side, the animals are fairly normal. They are far more susceptible to the chaos than fully conscious people, so they aren’t often kept as pets and animal farming and hunting is impacted significantly by the fact that animals occassionally go crazy and start attacking everything. On the chaos side, animals generally look rough, and the fauna consists mostly of monsters and of animals who went crazy or were taken during attacks.

🤝- Clearly the adventurers met when they entered the tree to play the newest Decked Out, and they meet shopkeepers as they explore the village. They meet Etho, Joel, and [undetermined]’s characters soon after entering back into the tree the first time. Most of the initial paths lead to their cottage. Perhaps I will write this bit sooner rather than later. I need to stop limiting myself to writing chronologically. As to how they meet the “antagonist” [undetermined] leads them to see it. I really don’t know whether they’re going to speak to each other or not.

🥀- Yea, I think I mentioned this earlier. Characters will die. No characters played by HC members will die, but likeable full-NPC characters will die. I’m not giving you any more specifics yet..

👀- piece of lore I really want to share? Etho and Joel play old gay grandfathers and Joel’s character has a violently blue fashion sense.

🕳️ - Plot holes. Uhhh… I’ll bet there are some but I am not far enough into the writing to have found any I don’t know how to patch up. 🌑 - Symbolism! I’d love to say I’d thought about that! There will be a creaky bridge! Simple things like darkness = danger, light generally being safe, but neon colors, which will often glow, are contradictory, also representing danger. I might try to use which plants are in an area to represent things. We’ll see.

🔮 - Magic system? Erm.. it’s D&D. So uh. Yes? Scar is going to be a wizard. I feel like I’ve already explains anything that might deviate from that base.

🎨 - OOOOHHH DARK GOOPY PURPLE AND VIBRANT GREEN. Also wood texture.

💡- Inspiration! So, the whole thing was actually inspired by a dream I had, which, oddly, I can still remember as vividly as it originally was months and months ago. Then I went, “Oh! D&D!” And then “Book for brainstorming!” And then “ooo what if fanfic?!” And that’s how this happened.

Fic Preview (look idk it's about 2k words): A Well-Oiled Machine

I have been working on this fic approximately forever in various pieces with minimal urgency because it's so unbelievably self-indulgent I wasn't sure if it was ever going to be seen. But fuck it.

ANYWAY: inexcusable AU (look just don't question it) fluff ft. disabled aspec Kpp'Ar and "done nothing wrong, ever, in my life" uncorrupted Viren. Gross and soft until it gets E-rating spicy about a third of the way in, since nothing says "asexuality awareness" like explicit erotica.

“I’ve been thinking,” Kpp’Ar said.

“I can tell,” Viren replied, not looking up from his book. “You’ve had that same page open for at least twenty minutes.”

They were enjoying a quiet evening, reading comfortably by the fire—Kpp'Ar in his usual armchair and Viren, more prone to shifting around as he read, stretched out on the couch. The sun had set long ago, and the crystalline lamps sunk into the walls glowed a steady supplement to the flickering fire and candlelight.

Viren had actually assumed from Kpp'Ar's stillness that he had dozed off, late as it was. Kpp'Ar rarely slept for more than a handful of hours at a time—the pain in his back grew worse when he slept, often enough to wake him. Even if he could return to sleep, it was often a choice between rising long before he'd rested sufficiently or being near-immobilized with aching stiffness when he finally woke. He usually chose the former, and it wasn't unusual for Viren to wake in the morning and find that the space beside him had been vacated hours before. With the additional wear of pain and magic only stacking further on top of Kpp'Ar's lack of consistent sleep, Viren was inclined to let him nap whenever he was tired or comfortable enough to do so.

Still, for a week or more, Kpp'Ar had been sleeping even less than normal. He spent long hours in his workshop during the day and late into the night, then returned to it before dawn—a pattern consistent with his behavior when he was absorbed in a project he found to be particularly engaging in its challenge or concept, and not cause for concern in its own right. What was odd was that Viren had no idea what he was working on. Kpp'Ar usually discussed his ideas freely with Viren, asking for his opinion—or even advice—and giving genuine consideration to his answers. This time, he'd only declared the work to be "urgent," and said no more about it, disappearing into the tower.

Whether or not the secrecy was cause for concern, there wasn't much Viren could do besides keep an eye on the situation and be available to help if called upon. He made sure Kpp'Ar was still eating with some regularity, and was prepared to bully him into rest if it became necessary—it wouldn't be the first time he'd dragged Kpp'Ar bodily to the bed and simply draped his own full weight over top of him, thwarting his efforts to get up until he grudgingly conceded that yes, maybe some sleep would do him good. Fortunately, it seemed such measures might not be warranted, this time.

So Viren put the mystery project out of his mind and focused on his own work, mostly reviewing offers from the Border-hopping mercenary contacts who supplied him with rare reagents and drafting requests to several prominent mages in other kingdoms for the loan of certain books in their possession. Unlike Kpp'Ar's methodically planned craftsmanship, Viren's approach to magic required maintaining a wide network of sources that periodically produced unique opportunities, and having the flexibility and spontaneity to seize them when they arose. It was one of the ways they were complementary to each other—Kpp'Ar with the focused vision to build a perfect result from nothing, and Viren with the boundless innovation to leverage whatever was in front of him to the needs of the moment.

He'd managed to run himself out of things to do, and was contemplating how to continue filling his time when Kpp'Ar descended from the tower with the finality of having worked through whatever had preoccupied him. He bathed, slept for a few hours, and joined Viren in preparing their evening meal—all as if nothing had happened, with no mention of his work or its results. Instead, he inquired after Viren's projects, and Viren obliged in telling him about the latest intrigues on both sides of the Border and what possibilities he anticipated they would afford. After eating, they'd retired to the comfort of the reading room, its hearth blazing to life with a snap of Kpp'Ar's fingers, and settled in with their respective books.

“I’ve been thinking,” Kpp’Ar repeated pointedly, “about making something for you. A device that would fuck you properly.”

Viren looked up, frowning. There was, and would always be, an inherent mismatch in the nature and intensity of his and Kpp’Ar’s desires. They bridged it with every bit of ingenuity two mages could bring to a problem, but it had taken time and experimentation to reach their current comfortable equilibrium—time that he knew had eaten away at Kpp’Ar in a quiet, lurking worry that returned in moments of doubt and insecurity.

He truly hadn’t expected their relationship to include anything resembling sex, in the first place—that Kpp’Ar liked touching his body and seeing him tremble with pleasure still felt like a gift, so miraculous that he sometimes couldn’t believe it it was happening. He refused to allow anyone, least of all Kpp’Ar himself, to even hint at that being somehow inadequate.

“Properly?“ he asked coolly, raising an eyebrow. “And here I hadn’t realized my regular, numerous, and extremely satisfying orgasms were all the result of improper fucking. How awkward.”

“Yes, yes—have your fun,” Kpp’Ar said, shaking his head in affectionate exasperation. “You know what I mean, you insufferable wretch.”

“I’m quite sure I don’t,” Viren replied, not bothering to suppress his grin. “I’ll have to hear your explanation of this so-called ‘proper’ fucking you’re proposing, in as much detail as possible.”

“Brat,” Kpp’Ar accused without venom, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. He set his book aside, folding his hands together.

“I would like to see for myself how you fall apart when you’re—how did you put it, that time—stuffed full of cock,” he said. His tone was as bland as if he discussed the properties of a basic reagent, though his eyes gleamed dark with knowing intent. He raised an eyebrow, looking steadily at Viren.

“Oh,” Viren said, stupidly. He suddenly felt light-headed, possibly because all of his blood had rushed straight to his groin.

With anyone else, he might be embarrassed by his immediate and decidedly physical reaction to what barely even qualified as dirty talk, but whatever Kpp’Ar lacked in eroticism, he more than made up for with a total, unabashed sincerity that Viren found positively intoxicating.

“I’ll hold your hands in mine and watch you endure being mercilessly pleasured until you can’t form words except to plead for release,” Kpp’Ar continued, a touch of smugness creeping into his voice. “And when you can’t take any more, I’ll watch you come all over yourself without having even been touched. I think you’ll be absolutely lovely, covered in come and begging, when my creation keeps right on fucking you without pause.”

Viren barely managed to swallow the undignified, needy whimper that rose in his throat. He was hard, enough so that he had to shift in his seat to relieve some of the pressure the front of his pants was putting on his suddenly straining cock.

This time Viren did throw the book, but in a gentle arc that let Kpp’Ar easily catch it. “Is there anything I can help with?” he asked. He didn’t have Kpp’Ar’s mechanical genius, but he was a proficient enough assistant to be an asset, rather than an annoyance—a high bar to clear, with someone of Kpp’Ar’s talent and temperament. “Have you already drawn up the plans?”

“Yes, the plans—of course. You can have a look, if you want,” Kpp’Ar replied, oddly flustered. His eyes slid away from Viren’s face, a glow of pink rising in his cheeks. “As for your assistance… I may have already built the whole thing.”

A laugh burst from Viren before he could restrain himself. “Wait, that’s the urgent work you’ve been so tight-lipped about? The thought of seeing me get my ass pounded got you so worked up that you just had to drop everything to make it happen?”

Kpp’Ar mock-glared at him, no real animosity or hurt behind it. “Fishing for compliments by way of critiquing my work priorities is unbecoming. You’re well aware that I find you compellingly beautiful.”

Viren felt heat creep up his face. He’d never get used to Kpp’Ar calling him beautiful—it warmed him all the way to his toes, a rippling shiver following in its wake. "I think I could stand to hear it more often.”

“Absolutely not. If you get too used to me saying it, I won’t get to see that lovely blush when I do.”

The blush on Viren's face deepened, and he turned away in an effort to hide it. “Surprises are nice, but it would also have been nice to have the chance to work on it with you.”

“I’ll remember for next time,” Kpp'Ar promised, as if building machines to fuck Viren was going to somehow become a regular occurence. Viren snorted at the implication, but Kpp'Ar's small, cryptic smile sent a pleasant shiver of uncertainty down his spine. “Actually, there is one thing it still needs that I could use your assistance with, but that can wait for tomorrow. It's late. Come to bed with me.”

“Right, because I'll definitely be able to sleep, with how turned on all that got me,” Viren grumbled. He was still hard in his pants, heat coursing through his blood at the lingering thought of Kpp’Ar pinning his hands and murmuring soft praise against his ear while he writhed, impaled on a thick cock. “Does bedtime include doing something about that?”

“Did I say something that implied it didn’t?” Kpp’Ar said, idly undoing the buttons at his shirt cuffs. “It’s only efficient, given that you’ll fall asleep right after you come.”

Kpp’Ar’s face softened into a smile. “True, you don’t do it every time. Forgive my exaggeration.”

He got slowly to his feet, wincing briefly and leaning heavily on his cane. Viren stood hurriedly and stepped forward to steady him, but Kpp'Ar waved him away. "It's nothing," he said, shaking his head. "Just stiff."

Viren offered his arm, anyway. “Well, you’re not forgiven," he said archly as Kpp'Ar took it. "I’m terribly offended, and you'll have to earn your way back into my good graces.”

Kpp’Ar chuckled, leaning up for a kiss. “How unfortunate for me.”

Darling's been a nervous wreck ever since they started catching feelings for their bosses- Between the twins saving them, giving them little gifts, constantly praising them and treating them so sweetly-

Darling's tried to write it off- or perhaps has always been a bit of an air head when it came to these things- as just the two being nice. They are, after all, the legendary Station Masters! They're powerful trainers, both having a myriad of strong pokemon- They run the entirety of Gear Station and the Unovan Transit System like a well oiled machine! Darling's seen them with their coworkers, they've seen their kind encouragements to young trainers who they do battle with. Surely their behavior towards Darling is nothing special; it's just their way of gently encouraging them to do their best as a depot agent! Although, Darling does have to admit, they are rather attractive; Which explains why they have so many devoted fans. And of course people would consider them attractive- Even Gym Leader Elesa befriended the two!

And somehow, though Darling really isn't sure how, they ended up being friends with Elesa as well. They're really not sure what the beautiful model saw in them to approach them one day on their shift, but she did, and seemed oddly nervous talking to them- but they took it in stride and somehow ended up with her asking if they'd like to get coffee later- As friends, of course.

And so Darling and her set up regular hangout times, having coffee- or having a pokemon battle or two- Elesa showing off some of her more exotic electric types she owned, or offering Darling tips and training advice.

However, the conversations Darling has with her... quickly shifted to romantic discussions. At first, Darling thought Elesa may've been trying to ask them out- but she wasn't. She just seemed to genuinely like talking about dates she'd been on, or her friend's love lives- and she often asked Darling about their thoughts- was there anyone they were interested in? Anyone they were in love with?

Darling was shy at first- mentioning off-handedly a boy here or there, and swore- almost swore they saw Elesa look a little crestfallen when they mentioned anybody by name...

And the conversation would drift to your work- did you like your coworkers? Anyone particularly cute?

Or what about your bosses? You know, the handsome, beautiful twins who run the entire transit system- It would be difficult not to like them, right?

Darling sighs at the memories. So much had happened since then- and things had changed, for better or for worse. They’d considered their options, and they had arrived at what they considered the best course of action.

Things just couldn’t continue the way they were anymore. It was impossible.

Darling is sitting across from Elesa again, holding their head in their hands; And Elesa’s wondering what’s wrong.

Elesa looks up from her coffee- She’s actually a little worried, you’ve been looking absolutely miserable these past few days, and you normally seem pretty cheerful- And now your eyes are practically sparkling with tears. Your emotions seemed to be effecting Emmet and Ingo, as well; They had been trying to lift your spirits so desperately, but no matter what, you just seemed.. melancholy at best, and ready to cry at worst.

And now the weather was reflecting just how upset they were as well; It had been raining on and off all week, and no sunshine- Elesa was called into the office of the twins rather urgently, and it was the first time she’d seen one of them looking... inhuman around her. Ingo was nowhere to be seen until suddenly the shadows of the office stretched, condensing into a strange black pool on the floor that writhed and shaped itself gradually into a being she knew was Ingo. Emmet simply did not appear.

The Ingo before her was remarkably... strange looking. His face was blocked by shadows, and he stood much taller than a human could- and his eyes, while still silver, were marked with darkened, slitted pupils rather than his regular eyes. He stood at attention, the shape of four arms wrapped around his back, like how he carried himself as a conductor. The edges of what should’ve been his coat were writhing and stretching into the pool of darkness on the floor, and Elesa should’ve been afraid-

But she wasn’t. It must’ve been some sort of subconscious reaction, she thought, but she felt more pity than anything else for this being in front of her, for some reason.

“Ah, Miss Elesa,” Ingo’s voice was deeper- And she felt her ears rumble at hearing it-

“Our darling is upset. They’re very upset.”

“W-What about?” Elesa asked.

The shadows quivered.

���We don’t know. You told us not to read their mind. To listen to their thoughts- That it was rude. But they are so horribly upset, they avoid us- They’ve been sobbing to themselves in private. They refuse to report to us. They have called out sick when they are not sick.”

Elesa felt a bead of sweat run down her face- Was Ingo going to blame her for this-

“You told us not to read their thoughts, Miss Elesa. I believe you did not intend for anything bad to happen.”

“I- I did not,”

“-They will not speak to us. But perhaps they will speak to you. Find out what makes them suffer. It makes us suffer so. Please.”

“-I really can’t. I just can’t go on like this,” You finished, sobbing again as Elesa snapped back to reality.

She needed to focus. She had a mission to complete- And she better complete it soon.

“Wh-What do you mean? Is everything alright?” She asks.

“I’m-” You hiccuped as you silenced your tears. You promised yourself; No crying. “I’m going to quit.”

The atmosphere in the cafe changed dramatically- You didn’t seem to notice.

Elesa noticed. The silence that fell over the cafe was markedly abrupt.

“I’m going to quit my job at Gear Station,” You proclaimed. Your eyes were wet with tears, but you were firm.

Elesa noticed the outside- Dark clouds had gathered over the city- Oh Sinnoh Above-

They were extremely dark clouds, she noted.

Those two were absolutely listening in, and judging by the darkness swirling around the cafeteria, and the fact that it was starting to look like the Fucking Darkest Day of Galar outside your window seat-

Elesa needed to act fast.

“Wait, Wait! Why on Earth would you want to quit? I thought you loved working at Gear Station!” She exclaimed, desperately trying to stop whatever was about to happen-

You looked at your friend- Surely, she of all people, would understand how you felt?

“I- I really do, Elesa...”

“-But,”

“-I love Emmet and Ingo more.” You finished, turning your face downward.

What.

Elesa stopped. Oh, for the love of-

“Then why would you quit your job at-”

"B-Because they’re my bosses, remember? I would never date them like that- But, if I quit... I can ask them out!”

mm thinkin bout projohn. i know its not ur cup of tea but its just fun to think about, sburb is the thing that matures john- much too fast and when he wasnt at an age ready for it. it was a force of nature, something he could not at all understand or ask questions about beyond what he was told.

honestly ive been thinkin abt john a lot these past couple days. hes a passive player who causes so much change even to those who dont realize it. he goes alongs with things bc he doesnt have the time to think abt stuff and bc of this his outward expression to ppl is. hes easy! hes simple and he listens bc thats whats expected of him, he doesnt have the chance to say no to anything though thats not the reality

as an heir of breath, freedom is his whole deal. he naturally falls into the into the inability to be tied down and in the future as things progress AFTER he begins to process things is when he starts doing things his way, a surprise to people around him who thought him simply passive [ie. refusing to give vriska the ring, beating caliborn up, etc etc]

and combined with the fact of, as you said, the wall of forced repression it very much leads a lot of people, specifically people who pride themselves on 'manipulation' or just crave dominance by understanding others, to misunderstand him severely. which is very VERY good. its such a thing i love with characters and the dynamic possibilities are endless

which is why i rlly like john paired with characters like bro [or even vriska, condy, etc THOSE types of characters] cause you get that misunderstanding and struggle of power. and yes he would misjudge johns actions or intentions which honestly can be funny as fuck

im less confident abt my uhhh perception? i guess of. all striders really i have a version in my mind but idk how close to canon it really is but for me i see bro as a more extreme version of dirk. he would set everything up in his head and it WILL go the way he thinks it will. views the world as more um i guess the best way to explain is in boxes. everything has a set purpose and he compartmentalizes things so it all works in a well oiled machine

It is my goal to accumulate enough George Cassidy romantic interests that I can make a Wives of Henry the Eighth edit, so literally go nuts. The best thing about George and the other Corpsemen is that the only thing that makes them Jurassic World OCs is that they happen to be hired there. It is by no means their entire story, and although they've been around for literally three days (?!) I keep thinking of more and more things about them and I keep building their backstories to the point where dinosaurs are literally the least craziest thing they've experienced.

If I were to sum up Clem and George's relationship in a gif, though:

A brief history on George "Sable" Cassidy and Clementine "Calico" Roscoe:

He is known as "George" to his friends, and "Cassidy" to his enemies. "Sable" when he's on the job, and "hers" when they're alone.

But it wasn't always like that. I'm not going to bore you with the details about George's fatherless upbringing, or his reasons for joining the British military, or how he'd always been a bit of a troubled kid. Where his story really begins is when he directly disobeys orders and murders the military hostages who were responsible for the attack on his unit. He is dishonourably discharged, and is sent back to the U.K. to await trial for murder and treason.

He manages an escape and goes dark; during which time, Clementine Roscoe, an agent at Interpol, is assigned his case. Unfortunately, after a year of searching (one close call where he was literally within breathing distance of Roscoe ) and a thousand too many mistaken sightings after that, the case goes cold, and she is assigned another case, one which results in the death of her entire family.

Clementine resigns from her position after she is denied leave to pursue the murderers, and spends the next few years methodically hunting down and executing the list of people she knew to be responsible. It was enough to impress Malcolm Drake, who located and recruited her into the Corpse Corporals (aka Gucci Suicide Squad).

All this time, Cassidy had been residing in Southern Africa, making a hefty living as a poacher under ever-changing pseudonyms (I had to make y'all understand that Sable is a bad man but y'all be forgiving Tom for murder and incest so here we are but honestly did it even work because here I am, being fooled, alongside you 😭). He runs a pretty decent operation, also dabbling in the smuggling of weaponry, and he lives a comfortable life. That is, until he is betrayed by his business partners (a brother-sister duo, FCs Megan Fox and Aidan Turner? Idk, still debating) and pushed out of the business under threat of death.

He is rescued by Malcolm, who has managed to track him down, and in exchange for his life spared, he agrees to work for Malcolm. His reunion with Clem is incredibly tense, with both of them pulling their guns on each other and refusing to work together. Malcolm snaps some sense into them (that, and the sum of the payload which had so many 0's added to the end, you couldn't be sure what the number really was other than "a lot") and they swallow their pride and work together.

They would continue to work together as Calico and Sable for the years to come, and when I say it is a slow burn, I do mean THE SLOWEST OF THE SLOW. But there is definitely a fuck ton of sexual tension thrown in there for angst, and a couple of near brushes with death (hazard of the job, really).

George is a prolific man whore, and he's bisexual and proud. So Clem has gotten used to an endless slew of people of all genders cumming coming and going from his hotel room, especially during the long cons where the Corpsemen go deep undercover for months at a time (Hector doesn't come on those jobs, he's got a family to worry about. He taps out at a month, max, if he doesn't get to leave to see his family).

George Cassidy is not a man who is used to not getting what he wants, but Clementine Roscoe is the only exception to that rule. He has come to view her as "unobtainable," this irreverent forbidden thing that he must not ruin. By the time the heat of their mutual hate had dissipated, it had turned into a friendship, and although there was an undeniable electric tension between them, they have never done anything about it. But it has that "will definitely be the best sex of your life" kinda energy.

They fight quite a lot, and disagree on almost everything. Have they tried to kill each other? Oh, absolutely. But they're also professionals, and although Clementine and George may be going at it, it never bothers Malcolm, because he knows that Calico and Sable will put those differences aside and do the damn job.

Clem only involves herself in George's sex life when it comes to people who she considers friends. She has the warnings already mentally scripted, because the thing about George Cassidy is that he cares about no one but himself, and nothing but his holy trinity: blood, money, and sex. He's an emotionally devoid sociopath at the best of times, and at the worst, he's a well oiled and dangerous killing machine.

He is not a good man, Clementine knows, but sometimes, you don't want a good man.

I have a gifset in store involving the two of them, and I'm busy compiling a list of headcanons as we speak. If you want, I can tag you in it :)

Previous anon, do you think the Dream Teal will be allowed to team during MCC all stars. That is a weirdly highly debated topic within the MCC reddit.

Some argue that the Dteam is too Op to ever team together and that could potentially ruin the fun for other teams, while some argue that the point of all stars is a for fun event and that balancing doesn't matter.

Imo I just wanna see the Dteam dominate. George is often highly underrated but he's an amazing player as he proved last MCC getting 8th. Not to mention he's incredibly cracked with a bow and is one of the Top 5 Dodgebolt players. George is also really good with comms especially with his bestfriends, for example this MCC in grid runners during that pumpkin carving mini game I had no idea what Dream was saying, but George managed to figure out what Dream was saying thanks to best friends powers I guess.

Sapnap has been popping off in MCC season 2, he is absolutely terrifying in pvp and movement based games, definitely earning his spot as part of the S tiers. Plus is a great right hand man for Dream, reapecting him as a leader, but isn't afraid to call him out if Dream gets too risky or too in his own head.

Dream this season has proven himself to be a great leader, watching vods in advance, giving tips on how someone can do better, and coming up with unique strategies. He has also proven himself to be a great moral support often cheering his team mates up once he senses their moral is low and keeps them from getying too frustrated. Dream is also an amzing player just like Sapnap and has proven himself worthy of being S tier.

The Dream Team work like a well oiled machine with each other, almost knowing what exactly each other is thinking. In my opinion mot even buildmart can stop them when teamed up together.

My thing is it depends on how Scott wants to play it. If it's for viewer fanservice then maybe. if he wants balanced team absolutely no shot. Sapnap is popping off far too hard this season. Like he's killing it. And Techno seems like he's sitting out which ruins MCC4 SBI. We'll just have to wait and see.

But you're correct even on the reddit they've pointed out Dream Team + Karl who's shown great room for improvement would probably steam roll any other previous teams.

So i'm torn between wanting to see old teams return and wanting to see maybe fun new match ups that would never be allowed in regular MCC like Dream teamed with another s-tier besides Sapnap or idk

Folklore Songs - what are they about??

This is a developing thread, but I’ve been listening all day so I’m taking a stab at it.

1."The 1"  

Common consensus is that this is about Dianna Agron and what they could have been. Telling lyrics are the general idea that the relationship wasn’t truly given a chance (”it would've been sweet, If it could've been me”) and “Roaring Twenties”, referring to the below circus themed party pics with Diana dressed like a flapper

tbh im not totally sold on this - most because it seems more recent with lyrics like, “In my defense, I have none for never leaving well enough alone” sounds like a reference to ME! and “Roaring twenties” sounds like a reference to something that happened this year (2020). Also “throwing pennies in the pool” could be a reference to throwing Penni (Karlie’s agent) in the pool. Finally, Route 1 is the road along California’s coast, where Tay & Karlie drove on their legendary road trip...this makes my lil Kaylor heart worry. 

2. Cardigan

This is the first installment in the Teenage Trio, which also includes August and Betty, and is told from the perspective of Betty. It’s about feeling so loved by someone but then being betrayed by them (”Chase two girls [Betty + August’s narrator] lose one”). The line ”And you'd be standin' in my front porch light” foreshadows to James professing love in “Betty”. Potentially Taylor is Betty - but I’m still thinking about that theory.

3."The Last Great American Dynasty"  

We <3 a Rhode Island throwback. Here Taylor tells the story of her house in Rhode Island that Rebekah “Betty” (??!?!??!! more on that later) Harkness used to live in. Rebekah married an heir to Standard Oil which made her one of the wealthiest women in the USA at the time. She was also known for making a scene (”She had a marvelous time ruining everything”). Additionally, she founded the Harkness Ballet (”And blew through the money on the boys and the ballet”). After Rebekah’s death Taylor purchased the house and it is now best known as the place of many epic 4th of July parties.

4. Exile

Such a sad song! This is a duet between Taylor and Bon Iver, telling the story of a failed relationship that they have tried to mend many many times. Interestingly, this is also about a love triangle (like the teenage trio) -  "I can see you starin' honey/Like he's just your understudy." This line specifically feels like it could be about bearding, and seeing someone else with the person you love, but feeling like - or knowing - it’s fake. “You were my town Now I'm in exile seein' you out” references and end to the relationship Taylor discussed in False God “Staring out the window like I'm not your favorite town I'm New York City”. To me this indicates that it is about Karlie and them breaking up or going through a rough patch - continually trying to fix things - and eventually being unsure that it could ever be repaired.

5."My Tears Ricochet"

This is pretty clearly about Scott & Scooter - “And if I'm dead to you, why are you at the wake? Cursing my name, wishing I stayed” and “You had to kill me, but it killed you just the same” seem to be a reference to them trying to exploit her work and how her leaving Big Machine really ruined the business - plus there’s some LWYMMD imagery. “You wear the same jewels that I gave you as you bury me” also seems to be a clear reference for trying to use Taylor’s own work against her, taking the profits, and pushing her out of the deal. As if we needed more evidence “You hear my stolen lullabies” clearly references her stolen masters.

6."Mirrorball"  

Big 80s prom vibes from this song. Mirrorball is about being famous and all of her work - her most personal thoughts and dreams - just becoming different ways for other people to see themselves once she releases her music into the world. Part of being an artist is knowing that your work will reflect more of who the viewer is than who you are yourself. Here she uses the metaphor of a disco ball to explore that idea, and worries that she is losing her own identity through it “I'm still trying everything to keep you looking at me”. She also alludes to her fears that she will age out of relevancy “I know they said the end is near”, something she discussed in her documentary Miss Americana. Obviously this is internalized misogyny because we love Taylor and will listen to her music always and do not subscribe to the belief that women need to be young to be relevant because if they were a man then they'd be the man, and tay’s the man <3 

7. “Seven”

Personally, this is one of my favorite songs on the album. It’s so sweet and pure and lovely. This is about young love, with imagery of summer, toys, and child’s dreams to runaway together. Many people have speculated that it is about the same girl that the two unreleased Taylor songs “Sweet Tea and Gods Graces” and “Me & Britney” are about. 

[Side note: initially I wondered if Me & Britney was about Britany Maack, Taylor’s long time friend who recently got married, but the names are spelled differently. Also the line in Seven “I can’t recall your face” indicates that this is about someone who Taylor is not currently in touch with.] 

Both M&B and STAAG seem to be about the Seven relationship because there are general parallels with outdoor scenery, childlike wonder, and ( in the case of STAGG) sweet tea. Also all three songs indicate a gay relationship: STAGG - “And you can love like a sinner and lose like a winner”, M&B - “That boy she went ran off with, well, I thought he was crazy. Maybe I was just jealous that he'd come between me and Britney”, and Seven - “You won't have to cry or hide in the closet And just like a folk song our love will be passed on”.

8. “August”

This is the second installment in the Teenage Trio, told from the perspective of the “other woman” who James meets while on summer vacation. The other woman (she doesn’t seem to have a name...unless it is August...which it could be? idk) is in love, but realizes that James isn’t in love with her - “Will you call when you're back at school? I remember thinkin' I had you”. The line “Remember when I pulled up and said "Get in the car" references the same incident which is retold in Betty, but this time with James telling Betty it was just a summer fling that didn’t mean anything.

9. This Is Me Trying

Here we have a break up song, about Taylor trying to win her lover back and feeling completely lost without them, unable to concentrate or be around people, and turning to self sabotage. It’s about the general loneliness that one feels when they’ve lost someone they truly love, and the miscommunication that can happen in a relationship when you’re not understanding each other or receiving love in the same way (hence the song’s title). I think this could be about Karlie, it seems clear that their relationship has not been smooth and that they have had many on-and-off times. It could also be serving a purpose of building the Joe break up narrative, but only time will tell for that.

10. “Illicit Affairs”

Taylor loves her secret love - this song reads like a sad version of “I Know Places”. It seems clear that this is about Karlie Kloss. “Tell your friends you're out for a run” is one of my favorite lines because Karlie started Klossy run club, where you commit to running a certain distance in a month - and she posts about it on instagram CONSTANTLY. But overall, the song details a relationship of a woman being with someone she doesn’t love (kushnerd) and sneaking around to meet up with the person she does love (tay!). The line “Tell yourself you can always stop” is so sad to me, the idea that Karlie got into this and keeps telling herself that it will only be a little longer and she can leave when she wants, but staying in her fake marriage anyway.

11. Invisible String

This is pretty much the only pure love song on the album - about feeling connected to someone throughout your whole life, knowing that that somebody is out there, and then finally finding them. Taylor talks about being in Centennial Park in Nashville as a teen, and then eventually showing her lover around. The song is really self referential, with lots of easter eggs for her past work, including Bad Blood and Delicate. She also references Joe Jonas with the line “Cold was the steel of my axe to grind For the boys who broke my heart Now I send their babies presents”.

Some people have pointed out that there is a similar idea presented in Jane Eyre - when the protagonist says to her love interest “I have a strange feeling with regard to you. As if I had a string somewhere under my left ribs, tightly knotted to a similar string in you."

12."Mad Woman"  

Another Scooter one - “It's obvious that wanting me dead has really brought you two together”. “The master of spin” is word play referencing the masters records scandal. “Watching you climb over people like me” points out that agents and labels are making money off the performers they find and pushing them around. There’s also a reference to Scooter’s wife Yael and how he cheats all the time, but she doesn’t do anything likely because of her own internalized misogyny - “has a couple side flings. Good wives always know. She should be mad, should be scathing like me”.

13. “Epiphany”

The first verse of this touching ballad is about Taylor’s grandfather in WW2, storming the beaches at Normandy - “Crawling up the beaches now "Sir, I think he's bleeding out"”. The second verse is about a nurse helping patients with Covid-19 - “Holds your hand through plastic now "Doc, I think she's crashing out"”. The bridge here talks about wishing there was some great epiphany, some magical solution for the suffering in the world. The chorus refers to experiencing trauma with others and staying loyal even in the hardest times, even if it means literally dying. Although this seems like a departure from the themes of rest of the album, the whole album examines loyalty and considering what you would do for the people you love - so I really don’t think it’s a departure at all.

14. “Betty”

Obviously this is the gayest song on the album and an early fan favorite. It is the final song in the teenage trio, told from the point of view of James, going to win Betty back after betraying her and sleeping with someone else (August!?) over the summer. The line "Will you kiss me on the porch in front of all your stupid friends?”, a line that is very clearly about wanting to kiss a woman, is especially striking (& gay!) when sung by Taylor. The clearest version of this plot is someone begging for forgiveness after betraying the person they love.

There is also a bit of a nod to a line in “Picture to Burn”, a break up song off Taylor’s first album. In PTB Taylor says “So go and tell your friends that I'm obsessive and crazy that's fine, I’ll tell mine you’re gay”. This lyric has since been changed in versions available online, but on the original album that's what it was. This is interesting because she’s calling attention to knowing that someone is gay and hasn’t told their friends...which you would definitely know if you had dated them.

The names “James” and “Inez” are both mentioned in the song, which are the names of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold’s daughters. James was already featured on a Taylor Swift album, as the lil baby voice at the beginning of “Gorgeous”. Worth noting that “James” is traditional a male name, but that this character is named after a female.

ALSO I have this theory I’m working on that Taylor is Betty and this whole album is in the same world with the same people, but WILL POST MORE ON THIS LATER.

15."Peace"  

Ok - this is Archer 2.0 for me, about how she is worried about how no one will ever love her or stay with her because its too much work - “the rain is always gonna come if you're standin' with me” and “No, I could never give you peace” are pretty telling lines about her concerns that people will think it is not worth it to be friends with or in a relationship with her due to all of the baggage that comes with it. 

The opening lines - “Our coming-of-age has come and gone Suddenly this summer, it's clear” feed into my emerging theory that all of these songs exist in the same universe and are about the same three characters...but I’m still figuring that one out. The line “And you know that I'd swing with you for the fences Sit with you in the trenches” reference Seven and Epiphany, respectively - further supporting that all of these songs are in the same world.

16. “Hoax”

Out of all of the songs that make my little Kaylor heart ache - this is the most heartbreaking. Specifically the line “My eclipsed sun” refers to Karlie, who Taylor has called “sunshine” on multiple occasions, and her light being covered up by her contract with Kushnerd and Scooter. The line “Don't want no other shade of blue But you” makes it clear that this song is in reference to the muse for the album “Lover” - aka Karlie. 

However, this is a song about betrayal and completely trusting someone, only to find that they stabbed you in the back, as is clear by the line ”Your faithless love's the only hoax I believe in”.

Additionally, the line“You knew it still hurts underneath my scars” seems to again feed into the idea that all of the songs on the album involve the same characters. This one is a bit more clear, it seems that - if this theory is correct - Betty is the narrator of this song, as she referenced her scars before “Drew stars around my scars” in Cardigan.

OK- I'm going to go deep into song by song later, but I just wanted to get something out there!!! Also def interested in hearing what everyone else thinks!

EDIT: I just found some lyrics from The Lakes in an article from Billboard. I wanted to add them in even though we don’t have the full song because I felt like we really ended on a sad note with hoax and then when I saw these I was like there is hope!!

SO the lyric Billboard included in their review was “A red rose grew up out of ice frozen ground / With no one around to tweet it” which is a continuation from the line from “Hoax” - “ This has frozen my ground”. What I’m taking from this is that in the final song Taylor finds hope <3

Ruche and the Miraculous Order

So, I love zoe-onee-sama’s Scarlet Lady AU as much as the next person, but I couldn’t help but think...

What if Chat Noir didn’t want to be the responsible partner? 

It makes sense why he does so in Scarlet Lady, since he’s paired with Chloe of all people for a Ladybug, but... Canon Adrien uses Chat Noir as an escape from his responsibilities. It’s his freedom. Plus, he did kinda enable Chloe for most of their childhood--certainly, he didn’t know how she was like at school, but wouldn’t he have seen how she treated her butler? Any other children around them (like Felix)? Hell, maybe even Sabrina? He didn’t call her out on her behavior until school, and while he probably doesn’t know better, it still happened and is still bad. 

So, what if he doesn’t want to be the leader of the Miraculous Team?

First, Paris would be in chaos. Not every day, no stop to the panic chaos, but akuma battles would take hours, because Coccinelle (I don’t want to use Scarlet Lady since that is zoe-onee-sama’s thing and seriously, read her comic, it’s great) and Chat Noir keep goofing off and getting caught. It’s an outright miracle that their miraculous haven’t been taken yet.  Coccinelle doesn’t say a heroic speech to Hawkmoth’s floating head at the end of Origins, so Paris doesn’t really have a lot of faith in Coccinelle and Chat, but there is no one else to rely on and they still technically get the job done, so that’s what matters, right?

(Nevermind that the two just hide or give up during a few of the less destructive akumas bc they don’t want to do anything, so Hawkmoth just calls back the akuma). 

Second, there’s no guardian in this. Mostly because I don’t like Master Fu, but also because there’s no reasonable explanation why he wouldn’t take the miraculous back once he saw how these two were behaving. So the miraculous are just... floating around everywhere. 

Third, Chloe and Adrien totally know each other’s identities. Chloe would have demanded after Origins (after harassing poor Ivan) so they know. This gives Chloe leverage over Adrien so he doesn’t end up making friends with most of the class, since Chloe threatens to out them every time he misbehaves. This allows Adrien to be sympathetic while also still allowing him to be a minor antagonist. 

Yeah, I said antagonist. Because Marinette is the protagonist (and I’m a sucker for villains to lovers).

So, Marinette is still trying to fight back against Chloe. She doesn’t have her miraculous, so she’s not as confident about standing up for herself, but that’s helped by best-friendship-pals, Alya and Nino. They’re a trio who supports each other. Mari doesn’t get her crush on Adrien, since Chloe is keeping him directly under her thumb, but she does pity him, like she does Sabrina. Mari gets akumatized pretty early on in this ‘verse, probably because Chloe used Coccinelle to harass her and she snapped. That fight was the worst the duo ever faced, nearly killing both heroes, and it was only because Alya filmed the starting incident that Chloe didn’t manage to get Mari thrown in jail. Still, the rest of the school thinks she’s snap any second now... everyone but Bustier’s class, anyway. She’s low-key a punk now.

Alya still has her blog, but it’s centered around the akumas rather than Coccinelle. It’s called the Akuma Report and is the only blog out there with a built in alarm feature warning about akumas (since fights are hours now, a lot of people get footage). She is also the only blog that can criticize the miraculous duo; Chloe got her father to take down blogs for fake libel accusations and SLAPP suits to then drag it out into court and waste everyone’s time. The only reason the Akuma Report is spared is because Alya’s got Max as a co-creator on the sight. 

Nino, since he isn’t friends with Adrien in this AU, so he mostly hangs with Alya and Mari. He still has his crush on Marinette, only to get another on Alya, so he’s now crushing on both his friends at the same time (which could lead to poly!heroes, idk yet). He’s the mom friend of the group, since Alya and Mari build off each other’s chaos. 

A few months after Coccinelle and Chat Noir’s debut, Mari, Alya, and Nino start finding their miraculous. I considered other combinations, but I think Bee! Mari, Fox! Alya, and Turtle! Nino work best (originally I considered Turtle!Mari, but I don’t think Nino would clash well with the Fox. But just imagine Nino trying to put the Bee comb in his fuzz hair). They each find it one at a time--Mari finding the comb at a thrift store while looking to upcycle some clothes, Alya found the necklace at the lost and found at the Hotel, Nino’s was a gift from his grandfather (who could also have been a former guardian but is too old to use it anymore idk). The point is, they all get them independently from each other, probably Mari and Alya first with Nino coming a little later. 

Mari has no intention of coming forward to help the Miraculous Duo, since her anxiety convinces her that they’ll think she’s an akuma and attack right away (in fact, that was basically what happened in Volpina in this ‘verse), so she stays to the shadows. She goes out on patrol, since Coccinelle and Chat don’t and are only out and about when other people can fawn over them. So, she patrols and practices until she finds a fox-shaped person--Alya. 

They do the Spiderman meme, thinking the other is an akuma and tussle for a bit, not that Paris notices. Alya knocks Mari down and snatches the comb, what she thinks is the akumatized object, and surprise! It’s your bestie! And it’s not an akuma, it’s a miraculous. Alya detransforms and they have a little freak out that they wailed on their best friend. Until they realize--their bestie can fight. They have the means to fight Hawkmoth. They’re going to fight Hawkmoth. 

But there’s no akuma for a while, so they meet up in secret to train. Around this time, Nino gets the Turtle and learns from Wayzz that the Fox and Bee are active, so he searches for them. They think’s an akuma and, just like the first time, they wail on him until he detransforms. He’s kinda annoyed until he realizes that, hey, these are his best friends, holy cow. They tell him their plan to fight Hawkmoth and he joins in. 

The only problem is the Miraculous Duo. See, without the Ladybug Miraculous, they can’t fix the city and, like it or not, Coccinelle still occasionally uses Miraculous Ladybug. So they need to get the Ladybug Miraculous. 

It doesn’t make sense that only Ladybug and Chat Noir can purify/destroy an akuma, so I say all holders can purify akumas (but not fix the city) and until I figure out how each, they just eat the akuma. They eat the akuma and burp up a purified butterfly. That’s how it works now. 

So, imagine. It’s Hero’s Day, Coccinelle and Chat Noir are totally overwhelmed by the massive amounts of force being thrown at them, they’re about to die, when three figures come into save them. The three are a well oiled machine, covering each other’s weaknesses, with the Bee at the head. They manage to push back the akuma’s to get to Hawkmoth, the Bee delivers her hero speech about how they’re not afraid of Hawkmoth and how they’ll be the ones to defeat him (learning that the Bee is called Ruche, the fox is Rena Rogue, and the turtle is Carapace). They push Hawkmoth back, clearly saving the day to Coccinelle’s ire, and then, turning to the duo, demand: 

“Give us the Ladybug Miraculous.”
