anyway this is my fucking jacket. i have decided i'm not going to spend like... over 100$ on something i could try to recreate myself so i just bought some white paint and made this in two days. i've literally never done anything like this before so i'm kinda proud of how it turned out.

There is a very specific version of Sherlock Holmes in my head, that I don't think exists in any modern adaptation, just lives rent-free in my head, but I keep thinking about him more and more, so maybe it's time I shared. (This is going to be a messy ramble/stream of consciousness btw. I am not sure if that makes any sense, I just need to push it out of my head. (okay, I warned you.))

I need a modern Holmes who is canonically autistic and ADHD, but high masking and late diagnosed. Perhaps even not diagnosed by the time he meets Watson. Holmes who learned to mask well enough/didn't have symptoms that were considered "typical" in the late 90s/early 2000s when (assuming he'd be in his late 20s/early 30s nowadays) he was a kid, so no one (including him) ever even considered the possibility of him being neurodivergent until John H. Watson M.D. met him.

I need Watson observing Holmes and going from "he's kinda weird isn't he" to "oh so that's that. Yea that tracks". Watson who discovers that Holmes is drugging himself up sometimes, and eventually deicdes to confront him about it, to learn that Sherlock is taking speed to "be able to think better" and things click. Holmes I think would be sceptical at first, but eventually he'd do a research and it'd change his life. Perhaps Watson could even help him find a specialist and get officially diagnosed. Seriously, think about it.

Your art is really pretty and inspiring. Do you have any advice for a very new artest.

Thank you so much! It is so crazy to think I can inspire someone with my art, and I am so proud that I have gotten to that point.

If I had any advice, it would be; keep going and try not to compare yourself to others. In high-school I had friends who were SO much better at art then me and those who seemed to improve so much faster then me too. I started my life with almost 0 art skills, and my improvement has been much slower then I wish it could be. It was very discouraging when I saw people that were SO much better then me - ESPECIALLY if they were the same age or younger then me- and I thought "how do I get there? Will I EVER get there?" and I still feel like that sometimes when I see artists who inspire me.

But, then I look at where I came from, and the joy that I created for myself in my own art. Sure, it wasn't always the best, but it made me happy and that's all that really matters.

Here are some pieces of art that I was REALLY proud of throughout the years, to show how far I have come. I know that with enough practice and a lot of fun mistakes, you can go just as far, or father! I am wishing you luck, Anon!!! :DDD
