Okay, so I really liked Traffic Trouble. It was such a cute little episode. Loved that they brought back a character instead of inventing yet another one. I just wish I hadn’t realized Matt has two gal pals who are Simpsons yellow with purple hair. Aesthetics aside, I loved the whole baseball theme of the episode. I can really relate to being stuck in traffic as a passenger too 😂 

Oh. Believe it or not too I once played little league. Baseball has always had this secret little place in my heart tbh.

Anyway, I love Matt being in the spotlight and sympathetic of others. Heck, even when he’s not in the spotlight I do appreciate when Matt gets to show his softer, kinder side. It’s always been there but I kinda dig how blatant it is. Also shout out to baby boy having a lucky pair of socks bc of course he does/did.

Matt... being lowkey so obsessed with a chicken fed my hcs sm. Farmboy farmboy... he’s fascinated by the chicken, look at her go.

Also Lefty... is a cutie. Whoever voices her sounds like an actual kid so when she refused to tell her Dad about the necklace I sorta understood. Even if someone’s nice and in a good mood you don’t wanna upset them and kjdhskdjsd

I have too much to say about this little episode, clearly. The vehicle they made looks just like the ones we have here down at the beach for tourists. I really liked a lot of side character designs, like the mayor’s (?) and the ONE Radster they actually showed (o7 I’m so sorry for your suffering tho Dossy).

A Garden is Born was even more lowkey and not great, but there was still a lot about it I enjoyed. Now. First things first. Trudy’s Eyes? Hate that. Disgusted. Moving on. She doesn’t feel too ooc, just like a literal softer version of herself. I think I may just be a sucker for her voice tbh kjfhkdfjd Every time she spoke I was really attentive, oop.

"Hey, are you awake?"

James hums on the top of her head. Something's been digging on his back for a while, but he didn't want to move because he thought Lily was already asleep.

"I have to show you something," she says, pulling James up.

Sirius sees and rolls his eyes. "Don't fuck on cowbane," he warns, "we can't help you sort that out."

James flips him off.

Lily leads him out of the clearing, into the grove, passing by the circling lights, into the deeper belly of midnight blue. He has to watch his step to not trip on exposed roots, hand tightening around Lily's, who is still leading him farther.

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere quiet."

It's already quiet; even their whispers echo. "Won't we get lost?"

She smiles back at him. "We won't."

Finally, just three shades away from proper dark, she stops. It's so quiet he can hear them both catch their breath. There is water trickling somewhere. Nearby. Overhead. The night crackles around them, a dreamy lullaby, its own brand of magic.

"So?" asks James. "Did you want to make out or – "

Lily laughs. "I mean, yes. But first – " She brings out her wand. Then, her smile, even in the darkness, dims a little. "I – I'm sorry."

James eyes the wand. "Evans, are you going to kill me?"

I'll introduce my guys undercut :-)

Hi welcome to me talking about my guys.

(I'll preface this by saying, in my oc headworld (pippaf), the dominant species are called "creatures" and all creatures can shift at will between fragile (humanoid) and primal (animal forms), the primal forms seen herer.)

The blue one is my favorite, their name is Amek (21, they/he). And by favorite i mean i emotionally torture them the most <3. Amek's species are called Storm Spirits, they are shapeshifters, but think of them more like dittos. they can't significantly change their color, eye-shape, or markings. they can voice/sound mimic tho! Storm spirits typically have weather magic. Storm spirits are a rare species, nearly hunted to extinction due to prejudice and their association with the god of chaos, Okkjuk. Amek's full name is actually Ameokk, after getting "adopted" by September, she gave him the nickname Amek, not wanting to unsettled others with the Okkjuk themed name. Amek is a long way from his original home, but he wouldn't consider it home anymore, even if he wanted to. I realized

I realized i haven't spoken of their personality at all. Amek is an upbeat goofy silly guy, he is a charmer and loves entertaining a crowd. He is very good at acting, his job requires him to.

the black cat is August (19, he). Amek is August's adopted brother. He is a prince but his mom (september) hates him bc she's ableist but also she sucks in general. August likes art and painting, and crowds make him very nervous, having been discouraged from going outside for much of his childhood. He also loves loves books, especially history and romance.

the picture on the left of him sitting he's 16 actually, bc i drew his proportions wrong. and all the pics where he has the torn ear and eyescar he's around 22. It's from an assassination attempt :- ). Oh yeah August's species r called spinecats. They're like cats but what if spines and posable tails and maybe some bug-like traits.

The doggy looking thang is Hyun (17. she/he). She is rabid and unhinged but probably the sweetest of my ocs, next to August. Like a rough kind of sweetness. His species is called Keyhorn, because keyhorns store their magic in their horn (magic energy is called 'keyaa'). As you can see, Hyun's horn was broken by a meaner :-( , this guy is called chrrris and he sucks. Hyun's magic is permanently weakened by this, but he is an optimistic bugger, don't worry.

Hyun was raised by these wild animals (not creatures) called night yips (imagine a wolf if it was as smart as a parrot and upright like a gorrila and the muzzle of a sawfish and rabbit ears). She also masqueraded as a local god so that she would get offerings from the local village. Then she lived in a cave for a bit. Don't worry about it.

At the end of Lucky Again, I think Louis noticed me and my RBB Gloomy. His eyes locked on me, he smiled, pointed at my bear, and said "That's cool." It was short, sweet, and debatable, but. I am. Freaking. Out. SBB to SBB moment?? /hj I didn't really take it in when it happened since I was trying to watch the real him while I could see him in the flesh, not just on my screen. Fuuuuuckcjbff 🫠🫠🫠🫠

I felt so lucky when I first got this cute rainbow bear as a gift... It was one of my dream plushies for what felt like the longest time because of the OG RBB and Gloomy Bear's cute yet edgy blood and claw design, and now, thanks to that same bear, I'm definitely feeling Lucky Again. 🥲

(Ew, you can sue me for that last bit.)

it's been about a year since i got into bad buddy and i'd been working on this off and on for a past few months now so... what better time to release it than now? :)

introducing FOUR different bbs prompt generators, for: all characters, main characters (patpran + their friends + inkpa), all student characters, and popular ships and multiple prompts!

this isn't for fanfiction only btw! you can use these prompts for whatever you want—roleplaying, art, vids, edits, etc. i'm just trying to put more potential bbs ideas out there in the world

Day 15 - Are there any ships you dislike?

alrighty so. there are only rlly four i ‘dislike’, and the first three… it’s more complicated than anything, it’s not entirely utter pure-n-simple disdain. it’s less about the ships themselves (in two of the cases, anyway) and more about how they seem to be perceived by the fandom + how much they dominate everything. other ships exist, guys! the other characters exist! anyway ill try not to be mean but i am gonna be petty, lol

so for starters, yeah, jack x ianto. i have a very specific view of it, that i do enjoy, but the fandom seems to be doing something else entirely and i've developed some resentment despite myself. especially bc it’s overrated as fuck. don’t get me wrong, it’s iconic, as far as being culturally significant gay rep, but if im honest idk how well they hold up in 2024? i thought their relationship in s1 and s2 of the show was lackluster at best. poorly written bread crumbs. and yeah i know it was big for 2006 but im just personally kind of offended that they could show them sucking face but not show the intricacies of why the hell ianto would fall for a guy who shot his girlfriend down?? like, their relationship is inherently dark and angsty to me and im interested in exploring that, bc the show certainly doesn’t (initially) bother to, and a lot of the fan content i see is either fluffy (??????????), or angsty in a Tragique way, or is just kind of… fetishy and whumpy? people slot them into a Specific Kind of Dynamic and it grosses me tf out. so the fandom culture rubs me wrong, and then it’s just… such a bummer to like owen and tosh and gwen in a fandom that only seems to prioritize this one ship. there are 22k fics in the torchwood ao3 tag, and 13k of them are janto. now, all that being said… they do intrigue me and endear me, just a bit. but it took the audios to make me give a fuck about them, which is sad. 

on that same note - i have the same relationship with tosh x owen, but i'm significantly less fond of it, cuz it just plain rubs me wrong. i like them in theory, so i spent months trying to figure out how to make them work and what other people are seeing that they think is so endearing and cute - i just can't find it. owen's treatment of tosh is just about the only thing i can't stand about him. he treats everyone poorly, but most of the rest of the cast defends themself (or even hit back, like ianto and gwen, and thats why i ship them with him! it’s spicy! i love balanced unhealthy dynamics in fiction hfdsjkf i can’t lie) - but tosh just lets him, creating an unhealthy power imbalance where she’s just getting hurt over and over again, and it makes me wanna fucking punch him cuz she does Not deserve that. i want him far away from her lmao. except under certain circumstances, cuz i have written fic about them, and i’ve read like three rlly good ones (and the main link between them is tosh stands up for herself and puts him in his place! i HATE how he walks all over her in canon ughhhhhhhhh). additionally, i do admittedly enjoy the angst of their canon arc. i just think fandom throwing them together and making it cutesy is lazy, uncreative, and an injustice to both characters. i think the SHOW throwing them together was an injustice to both characters, especially tosh’s. they're tragic and compelling, ill give them that, but theyre not sweet, and i don't think they'd be good for each other. 

(also worth noting on a show where everyone has tension w each other, imo barrowman & gareth and naoko & burn pull it off the least convincingly and have little to no chemistry. like every other duo just kind of sparks in some way or another, and neither of those duos do. which SUCKS bc they’re the canon ones. but it’s also heavily poor writing like they were doing the best w what they had. grr. like i still dont know what the fuck ianto likes about jack or what tosh likes about owen 😭 that’s ridiculous!)

the other ship i’m petty about is jack x john hart. i just think it’s far too popular for what it is. idek why that is, do we have a substantial amount of buffy fans in the fandom? don’t get me wrong, i liked john in the show + i liked their relationship as well, but i'll always be annoyed when a minor character gets more attention than the fascinating main ones. 

and lastly i hate john x ianto, because i respect ianto, lmao. i can’t lie, if he was my fav i’d probs ship it HJFKDSHFK i love putting my favs in awful situations. but as is it just grosses me out. get him outta there!! 

tldr: i don’t interact w the john hart side of the fandom, and if a fic is tagged 'jack/ianto tosh/owen gwen/rhys' i probably won’t read it 😷
