i don't want to further clutter up the notes on this post while responding to the tags below but the persistence of the "finale is short/scenes are missing/extra ad break” conspiracies drives me absolutely bananas when i've watched the finale ten times and have posted about this A LOT trying to clear things up. (disclaimer that yes, i'm a goddamn destiel shipper but i care about Facts above all.)

ok but this is weird because i'd swear the episode was shorter (11 missing scenes!) but okay. maybe we all mandela effected ourselves into #beleving that. because it felt shorter. but i will die on the hill that it had another ad break. i understand this person has the thing #recorded with ads so i am thinking maybe different ad breaks in different idk time zones??? #because the finale did air an hour earlier in canada so maybe idk i am reaching here but maybe different states or whatever had different #ad breaks??? as for the last minute changes - wasn't the cover band asked for permission to use their version of carry on like a week before #the thing aired??? so even if the episode was 42 minutes and had no additional ad break - which i am side eying but lets say all was normal #i will always say they were changing thing until the absolute last minute (carry on my wayward son X 2 #the crew on the bridge which is not only giant 4th wall breaking but also wow they really got all those people in one place in times of #covid???) #anyway. tinfoil hat stays on sorry guys :/ (via @officialmisha)

short and snarky: there are plenty of real and sourced examples of network homophobia and scripted/directed destiel scenes being cut to point to. we don’t need to make this stuff up just bc the finale wasn’t what we wanted. so it’s not the mandela effect — it’s ppl repeating a conspiracy/rumor bc it supports their narrative and it’s easier and more fun to repeat something that supports a narrative they already believe (misha or something destiel was cut) vs the boring act of fact checking.

longer circumspect answer with links bc like many ppl i am in my debunking era and i rewatched "roblox_oof" last night.

like i said. i've watched the finale ten times. i’ve gone over the episode with a fine toothed comb and posted a detailed breakdown of timing marks on my blog. it’s actually extremely obvious where the ad breaks are once you know roughly where to look for them (they have a longer fade to black instead of a quick cut scene change). there’s no room for extra ad breaks and i think this conspiracy/rumor persists in part bc the episode feels so sparse in terms of cast and the fact that the episode’s momentum hits a barn post (and rebar) less than 20min into an hour-long programming block.

also i’m begging ppl to actually look at that timing mark post. it’s very straightforward and i spent a lot of time on it. i don’t care if ppl plagiarize it at this point if it means this conspiracy stops. i've got almost every second accounted for.

the "eleven missing scenes" that you're thinking of are probably from the finale script of questionable authenticity that @spnscripthunt acquired back in 2021 which can be found here. it's dated as the “final draft” from 11 sep 2020 and filming on 15x20 wrapped on 10 sep 2020. as noted at the bottom of this superwiki page "[the] script came from someone claiming to have been the person who did the closed captions for the show in Russia. There are some indications that it possibly may not be authentic, but this has not been confirmed."

if we go with the possibility that this was a transcript meant for subtitles, the "omitted" scenes were probably written but never filmed since it's the "final draft" and not a color revision (blue, green, yellow, etc). unfortunately, i’ve lost track of where i read it and a preliminary duckduckgo search isn’t bringing it up bc there's a program for script writing called final draft, but iirc the “final draft” version of a script is a transcript of what was filmed (e.g. there are parts of that 15x20 script that ended up being deleted scenes on the DVD). spnscripthunt also has an example of a confirmed final draft for 09x02 (funnily enough, also a dabb-penned ep). if anyone can confirm with a source that i have the purpose of the “final draft” version designation wrong, please let me know! i love being proven wrong with Facts.

i do want to acknowledge that the two “final drafts” do look different from each other and the 15x20 one doesn't look like a “real” final draft script since it lacks the revision/versioning dates that a script would normally have on the cover page. it could be that it was intended for subtitles; there's the chance it's been re-typed to anonymize it if there was anything indicating who the "owner" was, tho that seems a wee bit cloak and dagger to me. and again: it's considered of questionable authenticity. there are some things that don't quite line up but oh dear god i don't want to get even further out into the weeds than i already am.

i won't disagree that it's weird as hell that neoni only got asked about using their cover seven days prior to the episode airing (tiktok here). my personal theory is that they were hoping to get a more expensive song (maybe a zepp song, idk) and didn't manage to secure the rights in the end. again: this is pure conjecture on my part! but i could absolutely see someone working on the show hearing neoni’s cover and liking it and then maybe they were using it as a placeholder until it got down to the wire and they had to make a call/send the ep to networks. because yes, it is baffling they played a song and then a cover of it with only a 40 second break between. (i do actually really like the neoni cover! the placement is just weird and i think it could have worked if they had the kansas version at the beginning and closed with neoni's full cover.)

as to the 4th wall break COVID stuff: robert singer talked with variety magazine about filming the last two episodes and the logistics of filming during a pandemic. whether they should have been filming during a pandemic is a separate discussion but their use of office vs set pods, strict quarantining and daily testing meant that they had zero positive tests in the month they were filming (18 aug to 10 sep). so given all that, i personally don’t think it’s totally out of pocket to have everyone standing outdoors on a bridge for maybe an hour to get a drone shot of them together. (i won’t get into incubation periods and viral load, but if everyone tested negative that day and every day for a month prior, it was a fairly low risk scene to film outdoors and for all we know everyone was masked until the last possible second. there were plenty of outdoor masked protests in 2020 that weren't superspreader events.)

and before anyone brings up “but misha was in vancouver!” i know someone who looked into it and they said no dice, nothing matched up between the backgrounds in those pics and places in vancouver. his statements about “us” going back to set over the summer were pretty generic in hindsight and “we”/"us" could be him or the spn crew generally. unfortunately i’m not able to find those tweets but the use of “we” was likely so as not to give away he wouldn’t be returning to set. (bc we were absolutely casbaited!) and bc it comes up a lot: the "onion field pic" was from when they were filming 15x17 and was not taken while filming 15x19 and 15x20.

besides, it would be ridiculous to go through the financial and logistical headaches of bringing someone into the country to film during a pandemic, only to cut their scenes in the end! honestly, the script is pretty tight when the scenes are given so much breathing room! the only thing i could see being further cut down is The Monologue and even then, i don’t think there was any intent to cut it down given it was filmed in fairly long takes.

i’ve said it many times before, but i believe the finale was fucked long before they returned to set. walker got the green light in sep 2019 and it was being marketed heavily as a “follow on” show to spn given jared’s involvement. the demo they were courting for walker has little to no overlap with the demo for destiel fans — why would they want a finale that catered to a demo they weren't interested in courting? we just went through a historic double strike that exposed so much of the rot of business interests overriding creative vision. this isn't completely unfounded conjecture.

i will not apologize for the length of this bc i wanted to be thorough, but i do want to give context that i think the reason these conspiracies and rumors grind my gears so much is because anyone can fact check all of this. the truth is out there and absolutely none of it is that hard to find. the most time consuming/difficult part of this was finding someone who had a DVR’d copy of the finale from when it aired live and they actually found me themselves after i’d been low key asking around for a year!

and like. i get it. conspiracies are fun. but there are so many sourced instances of network homophobia and destiel being cut that it's like. why is this something folks are hanging onto? the cw is notorious for having upper level meddling with finales bc there's a follow-on show they want to shuffle fans along to and spn is no exception.

what/when/how are you planning on getting jon and rhaegar to the north? bc i have this weird vision in my head of, in several years when the boys are older and the dragons ridable, something upsetting jon and causing him to run away to winterfell (in the night). maybe he was already having a bad week and something reminded him or arya, and he realized he hadn’t thought of her in a while, maybe someone insulted the north and he got tired of hearing insults directed at the place he grew up, idk. but bc he left at night and his dragon is black they don’t know where he went and rhaegar has to be like “don’t ask me why i think this but we should really go north”. but also when they get there jon could have a conversation with rhaegar about how he whatever he was looking for wasn’t there anymore ,and how can he know his way around the keep but have it be so unrecognizable, and was this how rhaegar felt for all the years they’d been in the keep? idk if this fits with what you have planned but it’s been stuck in my head for a while now, and i didn’t really know where else to let it out.

I don't want to spoil things too much, but there's an event 1-2 years in the future that would take them up north to Winterfell. Unsure if they arrive there some other way beforehand but they'll definitely make it there then. *squints* I'm guessing they'd want to wait for spring, so probably more like 2 years from now, barring other things occurring.

I like the parallels you mentioned of Jon experiencing some of those ghosts and uncanny same-but-not that Rhaegar felt at the Red Keep in Winterfell, because I think he absolutely would be feeling it.

On the "where to let it out" front, I've been pondering trying out the new Tumblr communities feature, as that would let people post things they want to chat about but don't want cluttering up their main blog without having to go the send-an-ask route. It's still in beta, though (and people might not even want/need something like that), so I've been holding off.

I mean I don't think there's an issue at all with multiple people making transparents of the same card. It just means there's more of it around and therefore more easily accessible yk? and people do transparents in different ways and that's good. You like to keep a soft edge and keep foreground elements and some people prefer to draw over the foreground elements and whatnot. sometimes different transparent shapes are better for different kinds of edits!! idk I think it's good that multiple people are doing a variety of transparent styles on cards

I agree, anon! but we also don’t want to clutter the blog too much with the same kind of transparents.

in the future, we may add alternate versions of transparents if there is a major difference (like more elements included, etc), if two of the same are submitted. but we’d still like to keep our new system, if anything to save people from submitting functionally the same transparents.

my first time reaching out your side blog! i wanted to ask you this here in hopes of you having a less cluttered asks section. i wonder if in dybmn the cat adams thing happened? how does his trauma with cat reflects on his romantic interactions with reader? for example, reader needs verbal assurance so i believe spencer would need something similar or have we moved into a stage where he’s completely over this trauma?

also, i LOVE that you love jennifer jareau. i’m so sick of this fic writers painting her as the other woman in the whole spencer x reader thing. i think the real villain here was actually cat adams. do you have thoughts on max? i think his interactions with maxine were actually cute and probably his healthiest relationship but no one in the fandom ever mentions her, is like she never existed. when he fails in doing the magic trick for the little kid, is so cute.

honestly w the cat adams thing i haven’t thought about it very much. im imagining dybmn is somewhere past season ten and i think entropy is season 10 or 11 right? so he’s maybe met her but as for all the other stuff idk, i don’t think it’s super important to the story im telling bc everyone is seeing a different season of spencer!

as for my thoughts on max i am only on my first rewatch and i haven’t gotten to her yet but i think i remember feeling like she was kinda boring as a s/o for spencer narratively. not that he needed another crazy insane romance arc but like i would have enjoyed seeming him w someone with a more distinct personality other than just neutral. i want him w a weirdo who is a weirdo in a different way than him if that makes sense

i think people probably don’t talk a lot about her cause she seems kinda forgettable! like that relationship was kinda shoved in right at the end of the show and they were inconsistent w it so it never really caught my attention. i do of course think it would be nice to see spencer in a healthy relationship but i am just very meh toward his relationship w max at least atp. i also thought it was a weird choice for them to make the final cat adams plot intertwine w max because it seems unfair for the writers to put someone next to aubrey plaza and want us to choose the person who’s NOT aubrey plaza… like that just felt mean😭 and then her and spencer had that crazy makeout and yes ofc cat is evil but idk it was just weird to me and i was way more interested in his relationship w cat than his relationship with max. they really didn’t do max justice by comparing her to spencer’s most notorious “love” interest. but who knows maybe i’ll like her better next time i watch it

Chime - Chingling: my second Pokémon! I found him while studying in Kalos. He's more like emotional support for me, honestly. He's just as cute as Val!

Chansey: I got her from my employer (which I guess is the region???? Idk). She's very cool, and I think we work well together!

Lumi - Metang: Lumi was given to me by a friend in Kalos! They don't understand Galarian very well...and I'm no good at Kalosian...but I think they like it up here!! And they help out a lot!!!

Why do u post all the hunt low stories in one story it’s confusing why not just make them all separate on AO3 if theyre not the same story or related

Well it’s mostly because I started writing them on tumblr and then when I realized I had a bunch, I wanted to put them somewhere so people wouldn’t have to dig through my blog to find them. Plus some of them were shorter and I didn’t really have a good description to post it on AO3 and I just think it’s easier to post that way tbh. I also think having over 40 stories under my name is a lot idk it just seems like clutter.

I label them as oneshots and say in the notes if they’re linked to a previous work but sorry if you got confused trying to read them as a connected story lol pls don’t be mad at me

Ok so for quite some time now I’ve been thinking about removing my fics from my blog. Idk if this is insecurity about my writing, the AI scraping thing, or the fact I want to try out youtube stuff and don’t want my fics associated with it, but yeah, I want to remove them. At the same time, I don’t want to straight up delete them and only have them on AO3.

So long story short, I’m making a sideblog @flor-fics-archive (yeah I’m bad at naming things) where I will repost all my old fics + start posting new ones. Not sure at which speed since I don’t want to clutter the tags too much but at the same time want to get it over with, but yeah everything will be moved here. I might just make the sideblog invisible for search for a month or two after reposting so it doesn’t clutter the tags🤔. I also won’t promote my fics on this main blog so follow my fics one or AO3 page if you want to see when I post new ones.

Btw I made a new pfp for this sideblog and used the opportunity to update my current one as well, bc why not. I’m also changing the banner to my youtube one bc I’ve never been a big fan of the plushies pic one I’ve been using recently (I only used it bc I have no idea what to put but didn’t want to leave it blank either).

And in case it needs to be said the fics are the only things I’m removing from my blog. All the textposts, analysis, headcanons etc will stay here. So basically everything in the “my fanfics” tags will be deleted or moved to the sideblog, everything else stays here.

that’s what kei just told me, but i’ve never tagged anything with jack’s tag except jack fics because i HATE clutter in tags so i refuse to contribute to that, so i’m a bit confused— but i’m not bothered by it! as i said, they have a right to block me if they want! i don’t mind! i just wanted to let everyone know that i can’t see posts from that blog for future reference!

A completely hidden reblog.

Went to Maren’s account and, sure enough, there was Maren’s reblog. I checked the reblog down from Che’nya’s, the one from Malleus, and that reblog is hidden as well. So unless Malleus deliberately goes to that post, clicks it and sees there is a hidden reblog and goes to Maren’s page and sees it? He will not know Maren responded.

Just like Che’nya didn’t know.

Feel free to message me here when you think you have it figured out and I’ll pick back up the reblog chain on the ask we had started. But I don’t want to continue it if I’m never going to get notified and just leave you hanging.

I’m not sure if it’s a mobile issue or something else on your part, but I’m still having other people respond to other things I’m posting and I’m getting their reblog notifications. So this is a problem specific to you as far as I know.

I’m sort of on the verge of deleting Facebook. I’m not sure yet tho. I enjoy groups and interacting with strangers more than people I know. I like to sometimes read the drama of people I know, or see how they’re doing in life, but it’s not a big thang anymore. There’s not a lot of interesting stuff on fb these days.

Also, I keep thinking of what my therapist said, that I need to be intentional about the relationships I develop. And then yesterday as well with what the trainer at work said. He said to develop connections with people who are burning INTO the work, not out. All of those people, a good chunk of them at least, come from pre-healed times. High school. Behavior kids flock to each other. Then, college, which was okay sorta- it was def higher level of people- but it was still that kind of dynamic. I was higher than them. Then, divorce and I lost a lot of those people. And realized they weren’t able to support the full me but I never deleted them from social media.

I think also fb can kind of be like a crutch. I think instead of developing connections in person I geared toward online. It gave me confidence in stranger interactions, but didn’t allow me really to grow socially. Maybe if fb is gone I can do that better. Pick a better circle. I think in the beginning it’ll be lonelier, but able to do it, bc I have such a strong connection with my partner and work relationships. But eventually I might have better.

I’m also excited on this new getting rid of stuff trend I’m on. I feel like I’m on the verge of big growth. I think fb is kind of clutter socially and it’s taking up space I need for the real relationships I need in my life.

I want to keep TikTok tho. It’s very informative. I also would miss some of my online groups on fb. I could go through and delete most people, or like… create another account and just join the fb groups but idk it’s not appealing, plus every time you do that people re-request you anyway. I like the cleaning ones and I have this great feminist one I see that really broaden my minds. The drama posts are fun too. I also like the transgender education group I’m in, though honestly… I liked it better when the main creator was more active & she just isn’t now. She made me feel less alone bc all the therapy. I would also miss my online friend I met in the divorce group. And maybe two others from there as well. I feel like with friend 1, I could probably give him my number to keep in touch, but I’m also on the fence bc I want intentional relationships that are reciprocal and I don’t think it’s really reciprocal. Also in growing some of the stuff with him was a little unhealthy… tho healthier in some ways than a lot of others.

I could also get a Reddit. It’s all anonymous I think and I could find a lot of those same forums there. I’m not sure tho.

I don’t miss posting. Well sometimes. But it’s also lost a lot of appeal for me. I don’t need the validation anymore. I don’t even have a strong desire to keep all this blog tbh. I often think of going back and deleting posts. I’m just like, who cares! Online isn’t real friendships anyway. That’s my thought process now.

I also may mass queue posts, I have a bunch in my drafts. So if you're wondering why I suddenly reblog a bunch of posts that’s also why.

This blog is just for posts I want to look at later without cluttering my main.

Important tags

#untagged = Untagged posts as they are named don’t have proper tags on them and will be re-tagged later. I state this since there could be potentially triggering and/or uncomfortable content for some people. So please block that tag just to be safe.

Some posts could have tags and still be tagged as “untagged” because the fandom wasn’t tagged.

There are also posts that are tagged with this tag due to the fact that IDK what to tag them as!
