Some König Headcanons and Hottakes

So I want to preface this by saying no hate to anyone. These are just some opinions that I think some people might disagree with which is totally fine. This is also a little bit of me pointing out some of his flaws. I love him though.

He is not a shy little uwu boy who would have a panic attack if a cutie looked at him a certain way. If he was so prone to panic attacks and his anxiety was that crippling then he wouldn't have been in the special forces and he wouldn't be in a PMC - which are highly selective.

Personally I don't fully believe that he was a colonel. The only hint we have gotten of that is a one of the 'Bad Brothers' loading screens which just says 'Colonel König' with no more context. Colonels aren't really active on the battle field and it is very unlikely you would see one in action. Officers ranked that highly are seen as too valuable to be 'wasted' in infantry combat.

Continuing from my last point, even a lot of majors and Lt Colonels aren't battle prone. Considering he would have had to have passed through those ranks to become a colonel means that he would have spent a lot of time behind a desk and commanding teams such as platoons and battalions. We don't know enough about him to say that he isn't a good leader, after all he is simply an operator with a few paragraphs of text as a background. However, his voice lines and little text we do get about him tells us he is not one to enjoy standing by and having others fight on his command. He would MUCH rather be in the brawl.

And I know that Alejandro is a colonel and very active duty, however we can assume that this is largely due to his ambition and personal attachment to his home, which he wants to protect from the cartel. I'm not saying a colonel doesn't fight, but it is exceedingly rare.

My last anti-colonel theory point - why would a colonel wear such DIY gear? I just want to say if you hc him as a colonel that is absolutely FINE, those are just reasons as to why I don't :/

Moving on, I believe him to be a sore loser. For example, he was deemed unfit to be a sniper, and so he wears a sniper hood and has that voiceline "And they said I couldn't be a sniper". Dress for the job you want, not the job you have ig?

I believe he wants to prove people wrong. Getting rejected as a sniper wounded his ego so A LOT. I hc him to be between 32-37 and if he joined jagkdo/KSK (old bio said he was German and in the KSK, newer ones said Austrian and JagKdo, now there's no mention of sf so idk??) while he was younger, say around 23-26, he's had a lot of time for that wound to heal and yet it hasn't. This man holds hella grudges.

Because of this, I think that a fear of failure might also contribute to his anxiety. If he was asked about being scared to fail he'd smirk and say there was no way. But deep down in his core it eats away at him.

This might also bleed into his social life. He's fearful of relationships and remains single for a long time. He'd rather not ask you out instead of having you reject him for trying. He'd have to REALLY like somebody and also have some reassurance or signs that they liked him out.

Cannot accept accountability for simple mistakes. He knocked your coffee mug over? You shouldn't have left it there. Hit you a little too hard in training? You should be stronger. You should have dodged it. Not his fault you're not as good as him.

Is a show off. If he is obviously better at something then you'll never hear the end of it. Better driver? Better fighter. Yeah, he's bragging about it. Again, his fear of not being good enough rears its ugly head. He deflects it on to those who are weaker - they could never be him.

Damn this was a list of negatives, but I love him in spite of all of his flaws. What kind of list should I make next? I should probably do one with some positive traits lmao.

Anyway, I don't mind at all if anyone disagrees with these this is just how I see him. Maybe one day I'll write a fic where he acknowledges his demons and starts to heal.

💥 got walloped with a return of the post-362 grief, with the latest episode of the anime lmao. unfortunately this means i am currently in my feelies, so thank u for bearing with me as i cycle through them in the form of shitposting. 🥹

💥 speaking of the anime, i’m sad they didn’t adapt one of my favourite panels from 360, where bakugou (or shiggy? it’s never really stated, but tbh i’ve always kinda assumed it’s shiggy imagining it LOL, maybe they both are? a joint moment of horror/delight where everyone knows exactly what’s about to happen 🥹) are imagining bakugou being torn apart by shiggy’s gross giant maggot fingers sdlkjlsdjflksdjf. i mean, i get why bones didn’t adapt it (bc they’re cheapskates and and also bc it is a show for children LMFAOOOO) but it’s a really cool example of how hard hori’s art can go, and also what im chalking up as his secret wish to write a horror story lmaoooo.

🪱🧵 i am biting my nails the closer we get to the end of the manga. chapter 428 was fun—bakugou and todoroki hiding behind iida as iida gently berates their newfound fangirls was so cute, lmao. also the revelation that edgeshot is slowly… regenerating? is….. interesting. i’m disappointed that hori didn’t kill him for a couple of reasons: the first one is my most selfish, and it’s bc i planned on edgeshot being dead for my halloween fic lmfao, now i gotta rework that whole angle. 💀😪 but the second reason is more pressing and that’s bc hori is a COWARD who NEVER kills off ANYONE that has INTERESTING CONSEQUENCES. and also bc he only likes killing off girls 💀 (we’ll circle back to this point). idk, i mean, for as much as i act like the grim reaper and whinge about mha not being depressing enough (lmao), the story that hori’s been writing has always been like, pretty easy to understand. hope connection blah blah blah (i say that lovingly).

HOWEVER,

💚🍵🩸 there are a few deaths i’ve always kinda expected, in the series, with the top of that list being shiggy and dabi. i was like, hopeful toga wouldn’t die, mostly bc i wanted hori to prove me wrong with his GIRL MURDERER AGENDA, but. 💀 cue the clown music, ig. and hey, maybe toga isn’t dead—maybe she’s just in a coma or in prison and ochako’s being emo bc she wants the world to see toga as a teenage girl and not a blood-sucking murdering psycho, and i HOPE that’s the case!!! i do!!!! like, are you seriously going to tell me dabi is somehow still alive (for now, anyways. do NOT come for me, that man got deep fried in the deepest oil vats of McHell!!!!) but toga gets the chop? 😒 like i actually fully expect tenko to come stumbling back (literally!!!) so you cannot tell me you save the dustpile AND the deepfriend mctodo just to axe the blood sucker!!!!! let them all live if ur gonna be a coward about it, hori!!!!! this is what i mean about interesting consequences. 😔 the only consequence we’re getting so far is deku and ochako both kinda 🫤🥺😦ing their way into a confession LOL. i’m being mean—i think the next chapter will be them both confronting their guilt over like, not being able to “save” their villains, and that if we do get a confession of feelies it’ll be something like ochako saying, “i like you deku, and/but i want to be a great hero too, to save people like toga in the future”. 🥹 maybe??? guess we’ll see. 🥺

🌇💀 my pet theory for the vaguely-tenko shaped rando that’s stumbling through the rumble is that it is indeed tenko, and that deku will somehow find him to help him and that’s how deku will get his powers back. and if he doesn’t and hori ends the series with deku being quirkless i will actually, and i mean this very sincerely, stop writing fanfic LMFAOOOO. ok im maybe like, half joking. 😒 but i have never been a fan of the quirkless deku ending and now im getting scared that’s what we’re gonna get!!!!! 😦 in one of his latest interviews, hori mentions something about wanting to strip away labels from people (characters) to see the human underneath them? soooo i guess we’ll just have to trust in him and these next two (TWO) chapters. 🥹

for all my whinging i do like bnha lmao. i whinge because i like it, and tbh i probably wouldn’t change a thing of it. 🥺 all the frustrating gaps—like those perceived consequences i keep getting worked up over the lack of—are what makes it fun to write and read fic for. 🥹 and it’s been fun watching the characters change!!! i was in a bookstore, yesterday, picking up a copy of volume 38 and the girl at the counter and i started talking about the series—the pros and cons of binging it vs keeping up weekly, the change in bakugou’s character and how reading over fics with him and his older characterisation can be kinda hard, now. how scary it was that it’s coming to an end!!! she and i have talked before—when i was buying volume 36 lmao—about whether bakugou could be canonically read as queer vs asexual, and like, idk any other series that has such a mainstream reach that you could have these outside conversations with other people in your day to day, outside of a twitter or tumblr sphere! that’s the power of my hero. and im glad to be here for the ride. and no matter how it ends, it’ll be fun, and worth it. 🥹

1. How did you get into writing fanfiction?

So I was about 13 years old, I was scrolling through my brand new One Direction tumblr, username "its-a-1d-world", soon to become "curly-and-boobear-stylinson", a harrowing username that genuinely makes me shiver like someone just walked over my grave. Like I'm sure this means nothing to someone who wasn't in the fandom AND an extreme larrie but let me tell you. Imagine the most intensely cringe superwholock url you could have. It's on that level

And I remember seeing what we would soon come to very derisively refer to as a "harry het fic" on my dash. So like, in 1D fandom, you had your standard self-insert Y/N fics, you had the queer RPF where you were shipping the boys with each other, and then you had the "het fics", which is where someone would make up a female character for one of the boys (usually Harry bc that man had and still has an insane chokehold on teenage girls everywhere) to date. If anyone has had the misfortune to read and/or watch After by Anna Todd... that type of deal

ANYWAYS I was totally unaware of fanfic as a concept, which is quite funny because as a little baby writer I'd been writing extremely derivative pseudo-fanfic for quite a few years by that point, like stories inspired by Young Dracula or Narnia or whatever without really knowing what it was. But this Harry het fic floated across my dash and a little switch went in my brain because I was like WAIT. I COULD BE WRITING STORIES ABOUT THE BOYS?? Like this was so exciting to me because writing is like probably my biggest eternal special interest and One Direction was my like, most intense special interest at the time, so I was like WAIT. I CAN COMBINE THESE THINGS. And also PEOPLE WILL READ THEM AND COMMENT ON THEM and I was sooo convinced I was god's gift to writing at the time so I was like well OBVIOUSLY everyone will read MY fics and I'll get super fandom famous instantly.

So I wrote an incredibly terrible Harry het one shot with an original character and literally got crickets. Nobody read it. Very embarrassing. I think I wrote a handful of these and nobody wanted to know, which is fair enough because I'm sure they were very bad. But THEN I was like okay fine, well everyone is obsessed with Larry, including me (though I very much liked it in a "bromance" way at the time, so I'll write a Larry fic instead. This is Louis and Harry for the uninitiated. It was the biggest fandom ship. We shipped all and every configuration of the boys but Larry and Ziam were the hard hitters. I think I wrote a few different one shots for various pairings but then I did my first Larry multi-chapter

ANYHOO the Larry fic was a big hit, I got all the outpouring of compliments and attention that my enormous thirteen-year-old head was convinced I deserved and that was kind of it really lmao. I was hooked. When I tell you I'd update my fics MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY because I was writing so fast and so obsessively, like god idk what the fuck was going on in my head but it was the greatest high I have ever experienced in my life. I also got incredibly deeply involved in the conspiracy theory about Louis and Harry's secret gay relationship and spent the next five years of my life tinhatting obsessively but that's a whole other story

2. How many fandoms have you written in?

In terms of what I've posted to AO3, only a handful—as mentioned, I started off in the One Direction fandom, I've written for The Flash and Legends, and dabbled in Doctor Who. In terms of fandoms I've written little bits for but never shared... so many lmao, the list (as far as I can recall) includes the following:

Batwoman, Supergirl, The Bold Type, The Devil Wears Prada, Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, Torchwood, Twilight, X-Men, and bizarrely, The Witcher, apparently??? I have ZERO memory of that, but it's in my fanfic folder. No idea what that was about

3. How many years have you been writing fanfiction?

I think I started in 2011/early 2012, so upward of a decade at this point... eesh.

4. Do you read or write more fanfiction?

Definitely write. I do want to read more fic, but I have a hard time choosing what to read and I am very bad at using AO3's search functions to find what I want.

5. What is one way you’ve improved as a writer?

I've finally started finishing shit!! Big moment for me lmao

6. What’s the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

I read an entire book on public defenders for a fic where Barry becomes a public defender instead of a CSI. I own a copy of a book called Forensics for Dummies which I'm slowly working my way through for fic reasons... I feel like none of these are that weird lmao

7. What’s your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

Who doesn't love the mega long comments pulling out random lines the reader liked to yell about them. I sometimes get so excited reading these comments that I lose sleep over it lmao i love them so much

8. What’s the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

Lmaoo this is a very odd one but I once wrote a Larry Stylinson fic where Harry was Slenderman and he was haunting Louis, and either Zayn or Liam was like a Van Helsing type who was trying to hunt Slenderman!Harry down and kill him. Or maybe it was Nick Grimshaw, the at the time host of the BBC1 radio breakfast show. He was the go-to fandom villain at the time

I never finished it but that was a cool time, someone in the fandom actually composed an instrumental piano piece inspired by Slenderman!Harry which is up there with the coolest things that have ever happened to me

In general I don't know if I necessarily go that fringe. I feel like it's somewhat obvious I have a bit of a thing for femdom, and also like. Coldwest/coldwestallen in general lmao, I guess that's fringe-ish

9. What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

Funnily enough probably pwp. I feel like smut is generally considered to be just an easy fun time but I feel like my line-editing process is not conducive to smut writing thing because I write the first draft in a haze of feral horny energy and then edit and revise it over and over to the point where I no longer find it sexy at all and am unable to tell whether it's even still hot or if I've totally killed the vibe in my quest to find the most poetic way of describing the way people fuck nasty. It's very frustrating ngl

10. What is the easiest type?

None of them. This is such a cop-out but everything I write is hard because I'm an insane perfectionist and everything HAS to be beautifully crafted so at this point everything is hard. But ngl I find multichapters easiest to draft in some ways just cos I can kinda cling to the high of "ooh a new idea" whilst also contributing to the same project because the "new ideas" are just new chapters, if that makes sense? It's fitting them all together that's the hard part lmao

11. Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?

I use a combination of Microsoft Word, Scrivener, and a notes app on my phone called Penzu, which is where I scribble down all the random snippets and ideas and bits and bobs that come to me during the day. The bulk of my drafting and editing is done in Word and I basically only use Scrivener for its notecard function where you can move scenes around really easily, and then I transfer everything back into Word because of Tracked Changes. Does Scrivener have that? Probably. Scrivener has everything

12. What is something you’ve been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

Honestly it's never really a case of "too nervous/intimidated" because I genuinely have never encountered an idea where I was like "hmm idk if I can pull it off", I have extreme faith in my own capabilities to an almost delusional level lmao, it's always just "I do not have time". But I do have this extremely long Coldwestallen fic that's inspired by Hades and Persephone, with Barry as Persephone, Len as Hades, and Iris as a soooort of Demeter figure which i know is weird because Demeter is Persephone's mother, but whatever, she more embodies the familial connection of the whole team rather than being an actual blood relative if that makes sense

So the concept is basically Barry as Persephone spending half his time with Len and the Rogues in the criminal underworld (I thought I was so clever for that one lmao) and the rest with Team Flash, and then the lines blur and it becomes coldwestallen-y eventually, but it's soooo long and basically split into four novels that I have written between 25 and 50k for each. It's gonna take me literal YEARS to tackle this thing so I've kinda put it on hold for now but I miss it so much

13. What made you choose your username?

So I wrote a joke in a fic that I genuinely have no idea whether I even posted it or not, it might have been in Aftermath. But basically Barry's suit gets blown up and he gets photographed literally streaking through the city totally nude (you can't see anything bc he's moving too fast but you can tell he ain't wearing any clothes lmao) and there's a newspaper headline that's like "THE FLASHER???" Let me tell you I was very annoyed the other day when I learned they already made that joke on Supergirl

And then I just added "cold" for Len lmao

I don't like a ton of bands/artists specifically, the only band off the top of my head I would say I like that I have heard other people say they don't is AJR.

A childhood memory that you remember vividly:

I remember we had a stump that was pretty wide and flat in our yard I would get dressed up and have tea parties out there with my little siblings. I remember the dress I used to wear and the texture of the stump and the breeze on my face and the pink of my teacups.

Least favorite animal and why:

After spending a few years in proximity with my brothers ferrets I can safely say I will never own one myself.

Hot fandom take:

"the Jedi are the good guys" and "the Jedi did not do right by the clones" are not mutually exclusive statements.

Do you wear any jewelry, if so, what’s your favorite piece:

Sometimes! I wear earrings mostly, but recently a friend made me a bead bracelet spelling out "independent variables" and it is my most treasured possession.

Can't think of one off the top of my head. I don't watch a love of TV/movies so I usually make sure I'm gonna like it before I start it.

My hair, my writing style, my... ability to be chill? Idk, I am very hard to phase and that makes me handy in an emergency.

oh my gd im like [marge hiding her face dot meme] uh. a lot. A Lot. All Of The Time. it depends on if you mean actively or passively, and then what 'actively' means in the situation. i have. a LOT of wips i should tally them sometime lmao. no that would be really fun, actually, i should do that now and then do some kind of ask game with it. that would be another fun one to get myself through this time of year with. ANYWAYS. off the top of my head right now in terms of things i have opened and worked on in the last ~month or so, i have 'the same story' (ted lasso mediafic), 'wriggle up on dry land' (ted lasso baby jamie au), 'my dead are mine (and yours as well as mine)' (gideon the ninth resurrection break it worse then fix it fic), 'bifurcation theory' (numb3rs au heavily inspired by the bbc series 'the five'), 'one right move' (flashpoint episode 2x10 time loop fix it), 'something to hold onto' (macgyver torture fic), 'loneliness into loneliness' (ted lasso two aces qpr fic), 'never been in love' (911 aro buck fic). also some assorted gift fics. probably some others. i can't um. focus lmaoooo.

oh i don't visualize basically fuck-all. i try sometimes but it's a little tough. i sometimes reference literal visuals when i'm really strugglin or i'll draw diagrams but mostly i know in like. described terms but not visual terms, y'know, i don't really Picture much and it's very hard for me and shifts constantly when i do.

With some distance though I have reflected on stuff and here are random thoughts.

ANYONE who is obsessed w whether ppl believe on this or that and keeping a mental (or not??) list of who is on this team or that team needs SERIOUS help. Like I can’t express in words how much I don’t even care what ***I*** believe in much less what anyone else does.

No matter what 1d/larry is to me currently or what I think/dont think currently, my history with them aka the many many years I thought about them HOURLY is forever there in my own personal history and I cherish it so much. They/the fandom does not own that - I do. So there is really nothing that can happen now that would touch that cause it already happened. Does that makes sense idk.

I’ve stopped thinking about 99% of theories etc but I still can’t let go of thinking their absolute refusal to talk about this is necessarily evidence of EITHER 1) being true or 2) them knowing how many fans believe this and being scared of losing them. There is no third option.

Meeting all of them and talking to harry that day was a really transformative experience I think in how I interacted w the fandom. I felt in a lotttt of ways like I… peaked? I did all that there was to do?? Felt like for years I dreamed of these things and then I did them and now… what? Of course this coincided with me finish my education and starting my insane career but I do feel very much like I wrapped my 1D crazy girlie life with a bow and I’m very very proud of myself for getting what I did. I’m still a fan!!!! will go to concerts!!!!! maybe do a crazy thing or two!!! but I do feel like a chapter ended.

I can’t read fic anymore. Idk. For any pairing really. Sometimes like once every 3 months I do but idk it lost the magic for me. Maybe I read everything that the genre had to offer me.

99% of what circulates here about the legal side of things is wrong. If you ever see something legal, send it to me and I’ll tell you if it is true (and you will believe it cause I’m smart and get paid an insane amount of money for my legal thots lmao).

Helaemond can still have romantic feelings to each other without the kids being his, but like you said, if the ship doesn't get confirmed as canon antis and Aemondwives will all be like "We told you so!!! You were all delusional and you should've stopped shipping it!!!!"...okay? It still doesn't change the fact the writers most likely played with the possibility. Setting up potential storylines and not picking them up in a later season is something that has always been happening in TV especially when the team behind the show changes in between seasons like it happened with hotd this time (maybe those who speculated that Sapochnik came up with the idea of Helaemond were right?). Idk how many chances the ships still has if the leaks about B&C being at the end of episode 1 or in episode 2 are real (I doubt there can be a romance after the event), but whatever happens people won't stop shipping it. Non-canon pairings have always been a thing in fandoms and sometimes they may even be more popular than canon ones. It's still baffling to me how hated this ship has become in the fandom though.

The kids theory was a niche fun fanon theory mainly used for fics and headcanons, and most people who are still participating in this fandom had little to no "expectation" that we would see that on the show. Funny to point out that expectation isn't even the correct word to use here, as Helaemonds by and large were completely fine with no type of canonical confirmation, and were mainly excited for any Aemond and Helaena interactions we may get in the new season. It's a non-canon ship, people are drawn to all of the potentials they personally see in this dynamic, and how it can be explored in fan content. Shippers like this very rarely care about canonicity - not to say they wouldn't welcome it of course on the off chance it happened, but that is not a priority of their engagement in fandom.

this is a tricky one cause i think you can only really have this if you're writing a multichaptered fic. which i don't do very much! but... yes. back when i was still working on dr54 (the full title is too long lmao) there were a few people who threw some theories that were correct. i can't remember them off the top of my head, nor do i want to list them because of spoilers (it's on hiatus but i hope to return someday!! my dear ocs i love you) but they got me SCREAMING to skep in dms ;v;

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

write. like, seriously, write a lot. i've been writing fanfiction since i was 11, starting at crappy oc insert niche shit that's since been nuked off the internet, to whatever i have now. and please do have fun with it! both of that sound very generic, but it's definitely true. if you wind up feeling stressed and upset by writing, which is supposed to be something that should make you feel fulfilled, then maybe it's time to take a step back.

on another note... if you're posting to ao3 and are hoping to get some people reading your works: don't self-deprecate (don't say stuff like "this fic sucks" or "idk how to do a summary" because people will NOT read out of pity), don't overtag, make sure to have proper spacing between your paragraphs (a lot of people are willing to overlook simple errors as long as it's readable, aka the spacing), and... i think that's about it, really. if you need help with ao3 posting, tbh just hit me up off-anon and i can help (<- has helped friends before with it).

4. Are there any writers that inspire you?

is it possible for me to say every single one to ever exist? in terms of fandom, there are definitely writers that are absolute weapons when it comes to gut-wrenching beautifully-made stuff that i worship (maybe i need to make a fic rec list or a collection or something idk) but in terms of actual published authors, i adore madelline miller's prose, it's just so beautifully written and makes me sob and scream and cry every time. i also love donna tartt's prose and also her characters and how deep and subtle some of the nuances in her novels are. i also love love love kazuo ishuguro and philip k dick for both their science-fiction works that manage to be so funny and so heartbreaking all at once, as well as their masterful dialogue. so yeah, i've got quite a few inspirations, but whether i actually manage to emmulate any of the gorgeous stuff they have written is TBD.

25. Have you ever daydreamed about side adventures/spin-offs from your fic? Tell us about them!

Literally ALL THE TIME. As its you hobs, my lovely mutual, I'll tell you about that hermitcraft fic and it's worldbuilding that i had planned. Before my muse was ripped from me and I fell out of touch with hermitcraft, I had visions of creating loads of off-shooting oneshots and works that explore all the different members and their backstories, and how they managed to end up in the main timeline in that au. it included a prequel of how mumbo and grian met and slowly gained each other's trust - it was agonisingly sad I will let you know now. I still have that stuff half-written because I am too attached to it but I am unlikely to ever go back to it and expand on that beautiful, tragic little world

35. Ramble about any fic-related thing you want!

It's a topic that's been spoken about so so much in recent years, but I just love how fanfiction, especially sites like ao3, are perfect symbols of how communism could and would work in our modern society. because authors do not get paid for their troubles, for their back ache and eye strain and hours hunched over a screen trying to figure out just the right words. we receive little-to-no praise most of the time, especially in smaller fandoms. so in theory, it shouldn't work. writers shouldn't post things onto platforms like ao3 and ff.net if, by capitalist standards, our labour is not being paid for. surely if it was simply a hobby, we could just write and keep it to ourselves? but because of the little communities people have built online, and the fandoms that have grown tight and strong, there is a really amazing band of people that group together to write fanfiction just because they love to do it, regardless of the time and effort taken, and want to show their creations to the world. this is especially true on ao3, which is non-proft, and is run by the people for the people. maybe that's why it receives so much goddamn funding every single time it needs it. (what a beautiful thought) sorry that last bit got super sappy, i just think it's super neat! Equally, I do think some people on ao3 need to relearn politeness and ettiquette. so many times i've had people either trauma-dumping without warrant in my comments or just rudely demanding the next chapter?? like? i am a person with work and school and a life, i cannot sit by a computer and pump out chapter after chapter for the rest of my life. it's insane and I think more people need to talk about it. I've been thinking about putting a blanket disclaimer in my notes about doing stuff like that because it sometimes has gotten so bad.

omg okay like fr actually i have literally went Deep into thought about this before and i wrote it in my notes and was planning on shoving it in some angst fic for some reason but we all know that’s never gonna happen so here it goes (caution warning for some abusive(?) language and violence):

it’s dee’s junior year of college and she’s having the time of her life going out to parties and drinking and she goes to a lot of these parties with her roommate and they have a lot of fun together and she’s pretty but dee doesn’t feel threatened by her for some reason and dee also doesn’t feel the need to see her roommate as inferior to make herself feel better about herself and it’s so, so nice

one night they get drunk and wake up in the same bed... naked

they brush it off and laugh and pretend it’s all part of the college experience!! who doesn’t drunkenly hook up with their roommate anyway!! 

but then it happens again. and again. once when they’re sober, and then once again when they’re drunk 

it becomes a regular thing and dee can’t help but notice that sex with men has never felt this good. has never been this fulfilling. dee’s roommate says it’s just a casual thing, nothing serious, and dee agrees because she’s not a lesbian, she can’t be a lesbian 

but it begins to feel a bit to dee like they are dating, and dee’s falling in love with her roommate, and she thinks her roommate feels the same way but is just lying about it like dee is

she isn’t 

her love turns to obsession which morphs into possession and dee gets upset whenever her roommate “ditches her” to hang out with a friend, or study with a classmate. dee starts to get irrational about it. she starts thinking maybe she’s doing something wrong and that’s why her roommate doesn’t like her enough. maybe she made the mistake of letting her guard down and being herself 

so she starts to change... into what she thinks her roommate might like most, which is, well, her roommate. because why wouldn’t anyone like themselves more than anyone else, right? so she starts shopping at the same places as her roommate, but somehow those shopping trips end with her getting the exact same clothes as her roommate, the exact same shoes, anything she can find, really

when she can’t find something her roommate owns she steals it from her drawer directly and when she puts those things on... she feels complete for a moment 

dee’s roommate starts dodging dee more and more and they stop hooking up altogether and dee is freaking out about it... she starts following her roommate in secret instead of going for her classes and one day she sees her roommate bring a girl back to their apartment 

she catches a brunette with her hand down her roommate’s pants and she screams bloody murder 

the third party gets out because she’s been seeing dee’s roommate for a while (dee only finds this out after she’s been institutionalized) and knows she does not want to get in the middle of this 

dee and her roommate get into a huge fight. dee accuses her of cheating, her roommate reminds her that they were never dating and sleeping together was just supposed to be a casual thing for fun, she doesn’t like dee romantically, and dee has no right reacting the way she is

so in a fit of rage, fury, heartbreak, solemn, and the desire to take down a bitch who crossed her, dee goes to grab the gasoline she has stashed in her room and she starts dousing her roommate with it, who expectedly freaks out and tries to get dee to stop 

“why are you doing this, cut it out, dee!” “shut up, you goddamn bitch!” she seethes between tears, and then kicks her roommate in the shin. she falls to the ground. “maybe this’ll teach you not to be such a fucking slut!”

she lights the first match and drops it, watching as the fire spreads and her roommate, who’s screaming, tries to crawl and roll around to put out the fire. she’s crying, just like dee is, except while dee’s tears fall quietly hers fall with her desperate, begging, her voice retched as she apologizes, over and over and over, saying she’ll do whatever dee wants if she lets her go

but it’s too late. dee can only laugh at the ashes of her broken heart. maybe they can join her roommate in a minute 

she lights another match, and another, and then suddenly someone’s bursting through the doors and it’s dennis, who’s coming over unannounced again, who has no one to eat lunch with again 

“oh my god, dee, what the hell did you do?” 

she tries to shove him away but he grabs onto her and drags her out; the gasoline got all over the floor too and the fire is spreading 

dennis calls the fire department

as they wait dee hugs dennis tighter than she’s ever cared to and sobs hard and ugly into his chest and for once he keeps quiet and... lets her

dee’s roommate survives the fire, and has third degree burns to show for it

dennis lies to the cops and claims that dee’s roommate set herself on fire because she was obsessed with dee and did it out of anger 

but then witnesses come forth and there’s footage of dee buying a gallon of gasoline and when her roommate wakes up for the tell-all her fate is sealed 

dee tries to repress most of the incident after she leaves a free woman; she tells herself it’s a college experiment gone wrong, just stuff most straight women who aren’t psychotic go through 

she represses her sexuality even more, and tells herself throughout every dissatisfying hook up that she’s straight and that’s good because the alternative now terrifies her 

it continues to terrify her for the next twenty years, and the fears refuse to fade

1. kaeluc/luckae - look is this even news lmaoooo really though i mean this is the ship that got me into genshin, this is the ship that i've written above and beyond more fics than any other ship in genshin lmao. i love them deeply, and i always look forward to any interactions between them. mayhaps a reconciliation some day, i can dream

2. zhongchi/tartali - strangely enough i haven't written as much of this as i thought? but it is SUCH an interesting dynamic, i really love the idea of this fresh 20-something murder-happy guy falling in with a millenia-old literal god and just. like. they're in love. like. it's such an endearing ship to me? with potential for everything from soft fluff to hardcore smut, nobody is doing it like zhongchi tbh

3. chiluc - okay okay hear me out i didn't mean for this to happen but,,,,this is dabihawks. this is just. it's dabihawks. my adoration for enemies to lovers is coming to light and this is unironically now my second-most-written ship behind kaeluc. i just want them to meet in game ngl i would LOVE to see what happens but tbh if it's not the word art 'i will pound you into the floor fatui scum' childe-heart-eyes interaction then i don't want it lmao

um. many? maybe? slkdjfklsdf i really don't know what's considered unpopular these days. i like kaeluc? i think that the cn translation is what the cn folks say it is, but i will continue to use whatever dynamic i want in fics bc that's kinda the point of fics lmao

also generally i don't care that much about like. making my characters the most incredibly badass perfectly built whatever they're supposed to be? like. i think it's hilarious that my yanfei has 1:1 crit ratio. i think dps barb would unironically be awesome. i like my characters to be fun to play but i'm not upset if they're not like,,,the most incredible dps to ever be a dps or anything. i love that my kaeya does 15k on his skill but i'm not obsessed with making it Better? (although kaeya artifact farming is my 'downtime resin' activity slfkjdjkldsf) but like. idk. i just think it's fun to make characters do all sorts of things instead of just building them as the best thing for whatever they were Actually Created For. is that unpopular idk lmao

8. what bit of lore is most interesting to you?

ahahahhaa ohhhh my god where to even START aewin pls understand i have a whOLE DOC FILLED WITH GENSHIN LORE INFO it's really just a raw dump and a lot of speculating at the moment but i really love istaroth/kairos as an entity in the game? i think she could enable a LOT of really cool theories, like the idea that perhaps kaeya was transported in time instead of just somehow being 500yrs old similar to dain (while having grown up with the ragnvindr family, so he clearly ages as far as we're told), etc etc. it could also enable my surepio = baizhu brainrot, although i'm also partial to the idea that baizhu either is or is a host for the current dendro archon (aka if changsheng is the dendro archon) ANYWAY i have so much lore in my brain at all times but istaroth is probably the current piece that i find most intriguing

💖What made you start writing?

Attention. I remember seeing my sister show my mom her poetry when I was like 12 or 13? And got jealous bc ah....I was kinda forgotten bc of family issues and was left to myself a lot so I thought if I wrote I would get attention. (I wasn't neglected but my sister was super rebellious and my younger brother is special needs so they just took priority I understand that now.)

And it ended up becoming a release for emotions during my teenage years when my depression and anxiety began showing itself. Which did get me the attention I craved at first but didn't want since my poems were very edgy and emo and made ppl worry to which my mom said "I don't wanna read your writing anymore." Which I get now bc it was depressing but that kinda lead to me hiding my writing. So the only ppl that see it now is internet ppl lol and I don't write poetry anymore anyway.

Which again started writing fanfic around 17 bc it looked fun and again I wanted attention.

Tl;Dr I crave attention and validation.

I enjoy the demi/ace hc for Byleth

I like the hc that Edelgard has scars all over her body from the experimentations.

I also like the HC that saints (sans Flayn) are directly born from Sothis like Rhea is confirmed to be. instead of born from her other children. So basically Rhea has 4 older brothers. I think it makes the dynamic interesting especially with how Macuile and Indeach checked out and Seteth was isolated with sleeping!Flayn until pretty recently. Which left Rhea to her own devices for a long time.

I read a theory about Sothis being an alien? And that was pretty interesting.

Idk if it's a HC but I like the idea that Seteth has always been kinda overprotective its just the ramped up to a million after the war and losing his wife and almost Flayn.

I also HC that Flayn is pretty protective of Seteth also despite being annoyed with his protectiveness lol. Like she pretty much saw her mother die. She's just better at keeping it in control.

I also like the HC that probably outside CF that Byleth is able to collect all the relics and put them in the holy tomb.

I also hc in CF that Byleth experiences a lot of mixed emotions after losing her divinity, since it was her last connection to Sothis, she mourns even if none of her students are able to sympathize or understand.
