haha finally debuting my magical girl marvels au! i was thinking of a manga cover while making this; i really wanted it to have a kinda hyperpop and sailor moon style.

So! In my version of this AU, the Marvels travel through different dimensions to fight the forces of evil to balance the multiversal scale! They do this, via train! The train is usually a subway, but it magically adapts to the dimensions they are in. (Ex. Submarine Looking Train for a mainly water dimension, an old style train for a dimension with a earlier timeline.)

Billy Batson is a Train Conductor! I based his outfit on those train conductor uniforms and I really like it. His main base powers are, of course, lighting, and the ability to make portals! He uses the portals in his fighting style, dodging with portals instead of blocking attacks. Billy can only teleport to a mirror dimension without the aid of the train, so he actually teleports to the mirror dimension in fights when he dodges, then portals back to the og dimension. The train boosts his powers so his ability to travel to the mirror dimension is enhanced, and he can travel to other dimensions when using the train. (Other then that, its a basic portal power lol)

Mary’s design was inspired by fairy tale princes, which is actually really random but I made it work. I wanted the three of them to be different genres of magical girls, but still fit look like they are in the same style. Her base powers in this AU is basically charisma (yes, literal charms), and lightning. So, her charisma powers are pretty much just that people will be more inclined to do things her way; she lets off an aura of power + confidence that no one can say no to (besides Billy and Freddy, they are immune). She also will look extremely intimidating to people when she wants to. So in a nutshell, her power is to change the way people perceive her, and use that to her advantage. Mary often uses this to do undercover work, or info gathering about the dimension they are in.

Freddy, is a mermaid based magical girl. He can shift between having a mermaid tail and his legs. His base powers are hydrokinesis (ability to control water) and (can you guess it?) lightning! Though not shown here, Freddy actually uses water to float himself around. The water is thinly covered over his body and he uses that to get around without his crutches. He learned how to do this after seeing how he can float in the water when swimming. Freddy doesn’t do this all the time because it requires a lot of control and it can tire himself out. He used to do it all the time, but once in a battle, he shifted all his focus into the fight and lost control of the water that makes him float. Freddy learnt to not completely rely on his powers all the time after that. I’ll go more into this specific event later bc I think this scenario would really impact how Freddy sees his disability, and how he learns to accept it. I imagine this Freddy is more recently disabled and that he still has bitter feelings about it. The thing with Freddy’s dad in the boat still happened (they got attacked by one of Billy’s enemies), and that’s when he got his leg injury. He met Billy that way and got his powers. (Basically just how CM3 got his powers.. idk why im explaining it)

The thing is that I, myself, am not disabled so I need a bit of help understanding what that would be like to accurately write Freddy’s struggles with his disability. 😭

Another thing is that I’m not sure what their hero names would be? I tried doing those precure names like ‘Cure Marvel!’ but that would only work for one of them and I would still need names. Marvel *insert something here* or *something* Marvel is an idea but I wouldn’t know what to put.

i think its weird that i have to make this disclaimer but the internet is crazy so wtvr,, anyway,,

if i say i dont like something, that doesnt mean "that thing is bad and nobody should post it.."

I'm also a bit let down by the immmortalis trailer, but I'm still hopeful for it being at least a little fun. I think it's gonna be an AU or a post queen ending where the protagonist gets off the island somehow. either way I do like to think it's taking place in a completely different kingdom.

- The Beheaded (in game) has the most varied style, jack of all trades type of guy, though they're the most cautious of the bunch with encounters, knowing when to run unlike the rest. - Bobby (trailers) uses the meme builds and pets, though they're ok with most weapons, they've got a deadly proficiency with pans. Bobby also rerolls for biters on all their weapons. - Official art, for them its kill or be killed, relentless and constant bloodshed. they never use shields and bows are only used if they can't reach their next victim. - Flame (immortalis) from what the trailer showed, he strangely keeps mainly to fist to fist, he used some light weapons but most of the trailer had his hands empty. He seems the kind to beat an enemy to a pulp with his fists and feet than any weapon.

i've been thinking about this a lot. but i need to shorten my muse list drastically. with the work outside of rp that keeps piling up, i don't have the energy to tend to all of my characters equally. which is unfair towards those waiting for their replies/messages/etc. over many months. not to mention that i don't even get to write down all the headcanons, which are spiralling in my head.

so these are the ones i will keep:

for easier execution, i will move to a new blog ─ and turn this one into an archive (temporarily), eventually deleting it. i'm aware of the starters i won't be able to reply to because of this decision and i hate to do this when you guys have spent time and effort on them. if you do choose to follow me on my new blog, i can offer you a new starter with a new muse!

apart from this, consider the blog on a mini hiatus. until i have set up everything and can post another update.

Happy Pride Month to my fellow people who are queer, but don't exactly have a label to describe their sexuality (or gender)

And additionally, Happy Pride Month to those;

who cannot figure out their sexuality/gender who have been misrepresented/mislabeled/misgendered who have been silenced, or have had others attempt to """normalize""" them who have been told they are invalid, that their sexuality/gender doesn't exist who have trauma that has completely changed their sexuality/preferences/gender who have [had] internalized homophobia that they are working on who have had to shut their preferences/sexuality/gender away for the sake of their safety who have been forced into a relationship that was against their preferences/sexuality who have been denied marriage or general love to their partner because of their state/country's laws who have been denied access to gender affirming surgeries or necessary therapy due to gender/sexuality (aka homophobia/transphobia from the therapists/offices) who are not accepted amongst their coworkers/school peers who are not accepted amongst their own blood, their family who live in a place where gender affirming surgeries are illegal and have, by force of gender dysphoria, undergone dangerous/illegal surgeries to actually feel comfortable with themselves who live in a place where gender affirming surgeries are illegal and are suffering everyday from constant gender dysphoria who overall have had an awful experience in regards to their sexuality/gender in a way/experience that I have not previously mentioned

You are all so. so valid, and so important, and so amazing and so incredible. Im sorry if you have/were/are being mistreated, you are incredibly undeserving of that. I hope Pride Month brings you some form of solace/reassurance in whatever sexuality/gender troubles you are having, and if Pride Month doesnt treat you well, then I hope the proceeding months or days can give you comfort or solace or reassurance in who you are. Please please keep going, stay strong, you are everything to me and so many others.

continued thoughts on eds redemption arc

It falls flat doesn't it? he gets banished, sure, but barely for a few hours before Stede brings him back, and then his apology was barely an apology, and the crew are supposed to be fine with that? we are supposed to be fine with that?

But this was what I was expecting, to some degree at least. Stede's well established to be both an Ed apologist, and generally unaware of other peoples feelings, so of course he was going to say that everything was fine now. I wish the crew hadn't pushed over so easily, i loved seeing them stand up to Ed, but it doesn't really surprise me either- there's a lot of power dynamics at play here, Stede's still their captain, Ed's still Blackbeard, no matter what he wants (he has proven Very Well what he's capable of to half of them)

So. That's where we are, but where do we go from here?

The best way i would see to play it is have the crew in a 'forget but not forgive' mindset towards Ed. They're willing to have him on their ship, to have him do Stede's silly ways to 'earn redemption' but never truly grant it. They say they do, sure, they wont hold it over his head, but they don't forgive him.

Have it be this uncrossable canyon between Ed and the crew, have him realise that everything he has done has meant nothing to them. That while they will put it behind them for the sake of living with him, but that he hasn't done a good enough job to find friendship here

Have him learn from his experiences, learn that the way he talked with Fang? that's the way to earn forgiveness. That at the very least he needs to sit down with everyone individually and talk about what happened between them, listen to how they feel and say sorry. yeah, some will be easier than others- I'm sure the marooned crew have far fewer grievances than those who had to stay, and that's not even to touch on the ocean of hurt between him and Izzy, but that's what he needs to do. He's seen it with Fang! he can learn!

And maybe, maybe, he still wont earn his forgiveness. But that's part of it too. sometimes things cant be undone with an apology, and learning that is a part of the process of becoming a better person.
