im UPSET by this scene it doesn’t make any sense!! it’s so inconsistent with yq’s character as it’s been established in the present day. you’d have to do so much handwaving to try and explain this detail in a way that makes sense and is consistent

they’re trying to make this mask thing all special and deep significance but why couldn’t yx have just randomly pulled it out of a pocket

I suggest simplifying it to Cross. Pronouncing the “Dr.” part makes quite a mouthful. Cross on its own is a very solid callsign. 

Age: 53. Dyes his hair because he’s getting greys, but otherwise looks his age.

Base of operations: Unknown (Don’t know much about where Talon is set up)

Talon is presumably an international terrorist organization. That being stated, you can try to headcanon possible Talon affiliated bases and hideouts. All are possible because of Talon’s impressive connections and reach around the world. Given their Canadian background, you can opt for urban settings in large cities such as Quebec, Toronto, Montreal, or for rural options like outposts or laboratories based in the Canadian wilderness. The choices are yours to make.

So I’m looking at a lifesteal weapon. Sounds good for its damage. I see you’ve pushed through with heal-y, steal-y beam.

Abilities: Drain - 5 second cool down. Thrown at an enemy (does not auto-lock) and attaches to them for long range draining. Drains 15 health per second, storing 7 (½) of which in the canister. Lasts 7 seconds, or until Elliot dies. Maximum throw range 20 metres.

Attach - Passive ability. A melee attack on an enemy will automatically attach Drain to them, without triggering the cool down.

Sounds like a very interesting ability. An aggressive, skilled Cross could have two Drains going, and added with his Prototype, could easily fill up the health canister. The question is, can multiple strikes stack Drain? If so, what’s the limit?

Heal - 3 second cool down. Auto-locks. Thrown to ally to heal them long range. Heals 15 health per second, draining from the canister. Lasts until canister empties, transferred to another ally, or Elliot dies. Maximum throw range 20 metres.

Ultimate: Emergency Backup. Primary drain is more effective, draining 50 health per second and storing 35 health, rather than 25 (½). Lasts 6 seconds.

Not sure if I’m particularly blind today, but I’m not seeing any canister health limit? You can only steal so much. 

The effectivity boost looks pretty good to me.

Bio(full): (Don’t have all the details worked out since I plan on exploring it through fic) Background in science, inventing, and replicating others work to prove that their science/method works. Talon recruited him by threatening to harm his brother Elijah if he didn’t comply. He was supposed to be researching Overwatch’s, but mainly Mercy’s, methods for healing/curing his teammates, but he slacked on it as much as he could get away with until he met Reaper and started to take it seriously.

These are the barest bones of a bio, but so far it seems like a sound one.

Personality: (I’m bad with describing personality please forgive me) Friendly and loyal. Tries to be funny, but he’s usually the only one laughing. Loud and a little awkward. Can be short-tempered, but generally deals with highs and neutrals, with the occasional low.

Sounds like a would date, yeah?

Relationships: Elijah - Baby brother, 36. Elliott is very fond of him and would do anything to help him or keep him safe, including joining Talon.

Assistant - Omnic who assists Elliot with his work. Elliott tries to get along with him and cracks jokes to try to get him to open up, but Assistant stubbornly keeps his distance and continues to feel neutral about his co-worker. Elliott considers him a friend anyway.

Reaper - Crush. Met when Reaper was mistakenly brought to his lab for medical attention. Elliott was fascinated by Reaper and what it meant Mercy was capable of, and requested that Reaper come in for tests. During these tests, he tried to get Reaper to open up a bit and occasionally got results. Realised he had feelings for Reaper when he started focusing and putting more effort into researching Mercy’s technology in the hopes that he could fix, or at least help, him.

Verdict: 

Your character is labeled a support, but he has some great combat utility. He sounds like he’s bordering between offense and support. Given the ability to heal himself with the canister, he could be in and out of any dangerous situation, over and over again.

Unfortunately, this is about as much as I can say for this OC :/ The best I can say is that the most basic details are certain enough. Most details are unfilled, and whatever you’ve given me is somewhat unremarkable. There is so little in detail that I can hardly detect a direction to help you in, so really, you have a lot of liberty here to fill your character. 

You have a lot to work out on, and I wish you the best in fleshing him out!
