The god of love, albeit a minor one, but a god nonetheless. You've never seen them, as Eros likes to stay hidden whilst casting their arrows. But, from what your tutors teach you, they have these massive angel wings that preen out whenever they get into something mischievous. Cloth wraps around their naked body, Eros doesn't leave much to the imagination. However, in some readings, Eros is depicted as a female with hip-length black hair, while in others, the male version likes to keep it cropped and out of his way.

Reading Poldi’s POV on patreon makes me appreciate the dancer background for MC even more since it sort of the opposite of Poldi

Let me explain: Poldi has everything, he comes from an important family, he is inclined to magic, top of his class, etc… but the one thing he lacks, his one downfall is his lack of self control

MC on the other hand has nothing except self control, which is what saves them after the chase, and probably gets reinforced since dance is all about controlling one’s body.

Ultimately what “doomed” MC was Poldi misplaced belief he can fix everything because “he’s the best right?”

Seems to carry over to his adult years with his response to MC in the dream

“STOP, CAN’T YOU SEE I’M TRYING TO HELP YOU”

When you think about it, the MC and Poldi are opposites to the core. No matter how cocky the MC may act, no matter how aggressive, or calculating, the MC has humble origins and has always had to be disciplined. The MC has been exposed to new skills, new situations, and has had no choice but to adapt and excel. Even in the quest for vengeance, that's a lot of time and patience to look for clues and answers, and the MC has been doing that for years!

I wonder if the years have made Poldi more disciplined?

The more I think about confessing to oswin previously the more I like it. It would make for a lovely POV from him.

Chapter 2 Release Date

I'm not trolling nor am I joking. The date for Chapter 2 has been confirmed. First week of may, keep on the lookout for the update. There will be a bunch of new things added in the prologue and Chapter 1 as well, adding about 10,000 words for the former, and another 70,0000 words for Chapter 2, which brings it to the total of 100,000+ words (without code). I'm really serious. You'll see it then, everyone Chapter 1 Extra content

Chapter 2 (70,000+/- words)

Section 1 is mostly getting comfortable (or not) with Wu Shen, an official introduction to the charming, crappy information broker. If you're into rude pricks who have a knack in acting innocent, godspeed to you.

Section 2 needs no explanation. Good luck to those who want to piss Ji Qiangxin off further. I mean, if you are into getting killed by a pretty guy who has a nasty expression (which I am), you have your different ways of going about it. Or if you are trying to creep him out or make him uncomfortable, you have your disturbing way of doing it. Honestly, do what you want.

Section 3 is being introduced to a hot-headed captain who would likely cry from a punch. Make of that sentence what you will. Also, if you want to die from infection, be my guest.

Section 4 is back to our favorite prince who would choke you to death at any chance (totally not something he would do, hahahahaha). This time, you can be a loyal dog, as he puts it, and risk being killed by the Emperor of Tianchao, or you can join his equally insane cause. Not many good choices---or you can die, I suppose, if that helps.

Section 5 depends on whatever you did above. Just know, you will miss a lot of interactions that could have been available in either route you choose.

Section 6...try not to die, unless you're into that.

The Chapter 7 and Ash Hangout update is finally here 🔥😁 I'm sorry for the slight delay, I had something urgent to attend to today and I just got home and I just basically went straight to my computer to upload this update.

Finally, we are starting to get into the ROs' first hangout sessions. Of course, to start us off, we'll have Ash's hangout session 😁This update adds around 31K of new words, bringing the total word count so far to around 356,701K words!

Anyway, this update also brings quite a lot of changes in the coding, especially for the skip chapter function, so I'm going to strongly suggest you guys play with clean save, either from the beginning or using the skip chapter function.

I have recently added another skip-chapter checkpoint, which is Chapter 3 in addition to the already existing one on Chapter 6. There is also now an autosave function at the beginning of every chapter starting on Chapter 2, so you'll be able to replay any chapter you're currently reading and try out different options in that chapter.

That's a good question, Anon. It crossed my mind when I implemented the other change. That would take more adjustments in areas where that choice becomes relevant, but it probably wouldn't be too hard. It would also make for a really fun flashback as we progress too...I will keep thinking on it and make some notes about what all I'd need to add for it to happen. I see it being a reality, but I won't say yes for sure and get any hopes up just to be on the safe side. Especially, as I am getting to the point where I'll be editing chapter 3 very soon, I may have time to wiggle it in...

I'll mull this over, Anon! Thank you for bringing it up, this would be a lot of fun to do! I've got it in my handy-dandy notebook for brainstorming. ^_^

If I recall correctly, the empire was founded by refugees from another war ravaged land across the sea right? Any more lore about where they came from and what's going on over there right now?

I like to imagine their old home was something like Japan in the Sengoku Jidai. And the thought of a huge unified foreign kingdom filled with vetrans of a centuries long war looking for the next conquest could be an interesting challenge for both the Empire and Argent, especially if they have vast cultural differences (like views on slavery, the Godess, blessed bloodlines, warfare etc)

Ruled by Nine Siblings. Or better known as the Commanders of Hell. Each believed to carry a role in the natural world and each a leader of the Devil’s Army. Each Commander is the personification of their circle and is made with a part of The Devil’s Body.

His Brain. His Genitals. His Stomachs. His Lungs. His Eyes. His Tongues. His Flesh. His Ears. And lastly his heart.

With each part, combined with that of a woman of a different species, flourished the consciousness of the circle, and then from a piece of the circle, a body was molded, creating each commander.

Yet with no one to rule over them.

For the Devil has many things to do and does not have the time to watch over the things he created. So, he gets an idea. A funny idea.

For he wishes not to strip himself of more. So, he goes to a mortal man. One who knew all that of the world, a man who had everything that the mortal heart could desire. Expect love–Yes love. For there is a difference between idolization and obsession and honest love. The mortal man had not that, and so the Devil laughed and lured this man to his death. And when no one showed genuine care for the man at his funeral, he fell into despair.

And the Gods who refused to hear his prayers before now stared upon him and pitied him. And sent the mortal man a gift in order to ease the loneliness.

✶ Appearance: She stands at [5’7FT ~ 175CM] with warm ivory-colored skin, that’s covered in what looks to be scars, that are prominent on her throat, the back of her hands, her palms, and her knees which are small scars, while the entire along her collarbone, slanting cut across her entire stomach, and along the outside of both thighs seem like bigger scars, but they’re not. They are instead different mouths with sharklike teeth and crimson red tongues. That she keeps closed unless extremely hungry. Alice also has yellowish blonde hair that is a messy pixie cut, with an eye patch covering her right eye. She always has deep monolid-shaped eyes that are a vivid orange color. She has a sheer clothing aesthetic as while as a leather aesthetic, wearing many shades of orange, black, and white with gold. They also spend a lot of time within the different underworlds and heavens, trying to gain something from the divine. Only to be sent back to Hell without punishment. They are tricksters and unreliable, with no real redeeming qualities.

✶ Appearance: They stand at [5’8FT ~ 178CM] with thick curly gray hair with white faded ends. Their hair is short to their chin and left alone. They have hooded gray eyes and short-bison-like horns with gray bat wings that fade into black with a long rat-like tail. They have varying styles but settle on clothing far more revealing.
