It’s getting so difficult for my 82 year old Mama to get out and go to church these days. She’s very feeble and unsteady on her feet and has to take her walker, and have help sitting, standing, and everything else in between. She stays very confused and nods off a lot during church, and usually by the time we get her back home she doesn’t even remember going. On the way home from church today, our conversation went like this:

Me: ‘Mama, I know it exhausts you to keep going to church. If you feel like you can’t do this anymore, it’s okay. God understands.’

Mama: (in a rare moment of clarity with a faraway look in her eyes) ‘My Mama used to pull the wagon out of the barn and hitch it to a horse all by herself. She’d bake homemade biscuits, rolling out the dough and feed us 3 kids and get us all dressed and ready. Then she’d load us all up in the wagon and guide the horse over a rough and bumpy dirt roads a few miles to take us to church every Sunday.

When I think about how hard she had it... I guess I’m just not ready to give up yet.😢

I am BEYOND WORDS proud of this #newmom who is reclaiming her body! @mboyerfitness has been eating healthy, exercising 30 minutes a day at home regularly, and getting INCREDIBLE results! In LESS THAN 3 WEEKS she's lost 13.5 inches!!! Bravo!!!
