Oh okay the sleeping thing got a lot of notes so im gonna go in some more depth

I think David has a sleeping disorder thats closely linked with adhd, where he goes down to sleep but he can't "wind down" so he could either go do something else, or he stays in bed. Awake. For hours.

Max even thought he was possessed or something the first few times he saw David awake long after everyone had already gone to bed. Cuz he still had so much energy at like 2 or 3 in the morning.

I think Max on the other hand, avoids sleep as much as he can because he either has nightmares or doesn't dream at all, so instead of gambling if he's going to wake up terrified or not, he decides to just stay awake (he tries to read to pass the time but he only likes horror books and won't sit through anything else, so every time he says "I won't get freaked out this time" but he does.)

David tries to give him advice like "think happy thoughts before you go to bed!" Because other than that David is not the best person for advice on the topic.

I also think David didn't mind the look of the dark circles under his eyes but once he realised Max was staying up late, he covered them up to "not set a bad example"
