The crew loves Stede so much. They love him so much they spent weeks working a shitty job to buy a ship and so he could reunite with his boyfriend. They love him so much they don't even hesitate to steal from Spanish Jackie and consequently either get themselves killed or hunted every time they come to the Republic of pirates. They love him so much they follow his directions when he was breaking them out of jail and didn't ask questions, didn't doubt he would get them out safely, didn't doubt the efficiency of his plan. They will literally follow him anywhere. They just love him so much.

What started out as a bit of teasing about wanting alllll the cuddles and attention turns into a fair bit of spideysense (poolysense?) when Wade blinks awake one night to Logan, snugged face- first into his chest and throat, having a nightmare.

He rolls him away, hoping that a change of position will stir him out of it, and seconds later the claws come out as Logan jerks awake with a feral growl.

"Logan?"

Frantic, Logan retracts his claws and pats around on the bed. "Oh no, no no--" he flinches when a hand closes over his forearm and tugs.

Steve staying up all night to paint little designs on Eddie’s clothing whenever he’s on tour and sticking to the theme of it. Eddie thinks it’s adorable when Steve has paint all over his hands and somehow his face but it just shows how dedicated he is to be by Eddie’s side. Sometimes Steve would even paint encouraging words on the clothes to motivate Eddie and his band. They’ll be beautiful quotes like “so many people love you, don’t focus on the people who don’t” “you didn’t go through all of that for nothing” “be yourself, babe” just some helpful words that really makes all the hardships that Eddie has faced worth it. Steve would always be there to to support Eddie in anything he wanted to and he was fine with doing that til they were grey and old.

he had spent more time in your tiny apartment than his own giant house, so the two of you fell into a natural rhythm when you finally decided to move in together after university.

he pressed himself further into the shikibuton, nosing into your neck and drawing the duvet tighter around you. soft kisses were pressed to the curve of your neck as his fingers drew up and down your spine, tracing your shoulder blades and counting your vertebrae.

he hummed against your throat as you shifted, eyes blinking open against the lines of golden light bleeding into the room through the blinds. your arms came up to hold onto his, whispering a croaky good morning to his chest.

a gentle smile worked it’s way onto his face as his head sank back into the pillow, pulling you closer and whispering it back.

i imagine, after the divorce, aaron doesn’t get a lot of casual, intimate touch.

bau!r joins the team a little while after their divorce is finalized and she’s, well. she did a lot of student theatre and is very comfortable in people’s personal bubbles. her and penny are fast friends, and she’s always pulling folks into a hug. even spencer’s been giving more high fives!

she’s tried to do the same with hotch, but he usually steps away from the group just in time, so she hasn’t pushed it.

he hopes she doesn’t take it personally, and he tries to make up for it with coffees or teas, because the times when she does touch him— a brief squeeze of his shoulder, a brush against his side— his whole body erupts with entirely inappropriate goosebumps. he’s sure that he’d combust if she hugged him.

but, see, his birthday’s coming up. and she’s a sucker for a good little bash. so maybe, just maybe, he’ll find out what that hug feels like soon enough.

but then you join the team and adore physical touch. it's not just a love language but a sign of reassurance. you're hugging anyone on the team after a case or before you go home for the weekend.

from that point on, you've moved up to squeezing his arm and slotting yourself at his side on the plane, cases, etc. and when he initiates it - a hug <333
