#art#traditional art#fountain pen ink#virvox project#mizusawa takuto#voicevox#ia#cevio#voisona#also miku is there technically kind of. shes down there#sorry im not a piapro or vocaloid user i was more focused on the other things LOL#looks neat tho! im very curious about the kaito and meiko remasters#i was always tempted and curious but im not a huge fan of the weakness of their v3s compared to their v1s#so i hope we get some demo videos or something soon. or if not i hope in a month people post lots of videos LOL#also intrigued by miku nt update and v6 ai. i have no interest personally in using miku but im sure it'll be interesting#gumi and galaco v6 sound pretty good in my humble onion so im very curious#but anyway. back to ME hjkfsjhjrfds im so excited for takutos voice#itll be cute seeing all the little skits the japanese fans make and for me specifically you KNOW im gonna get on that song shit#im gonna make.... the most bizarre boyband on earth. there is some manner of catboy. and a 50 year old man. it'll be great#maybe i'll remake the yume no tobira cover hee hee#and ia.... oh baby ia.... im so happy you have no idea man i have been WAITING FOR THIS. okay please dont kill me for this but like#highkey i dont really care for her original v3 LOL its not bad or anything i just find a lot of v3 fem vocals sound like the same person#and this was painful for me because like im a gigantic lia fan. i dont need it to be a 1 to 1 recreation or anything but like#i was always so bummed out how thin ia's voice sounded. it felt like a bit of a waste how much the v3 noise removed all lia's warmth#and like the depth of her tone. and like it sounds fine. she sounds like a slightly more operatic miku when people tune her high and breath#which is very common and that sounds fine. but like i still felt like auauuuuuuuuhhhhhhh nothing i loved about lia's voice is there#cevio 1.0 was a step up it brought back a LOT of warmth (although you had to really push up the alpha to get the depth)#and while i personally dont hate the cevio 1 noise its nice to have a version that no longer sounds underwater <3#she sounds so rich now.... i still bump up the alpha a bit because i like lia's deeper work a lot LOL but its wonderfullllllllll#so good so so so so good im obsessed. yesterday was truly an Event for vocal synth news

Working on the trim for my stained glass window today :)
#this is probably the thing im most excited to see in my house#its so pretty#we're remaking the old trim out of white pvc board stuff. never rots lasts forever. old stuff is already taken off in this pic#it was missing some pieces of it and is in really rough shape so we're using it as a template for the new stuff#its going in my bathroom on the very back wall so if the doors open you can see it from the rest of the downstairs

popular opinion but i wish they would stop making live action remakes of things
#this is about atla but also applies to other things#was i initially excited when they first announced it a couple years ago? yeah#but the more i thought about it the more i realized that theres nothing to be gained from the og story by adapting it to live action#and why remake a property when you have nothing to add to it?#this is how im also sorta feeling about pjo but thats a different discussion#idk. i think disney fucking ruined us by making ‘live action adaptations’ popular again#also! hot take but some stories work better with animation! especially shows that are very fantasy-esque and have a lot of magical elements#like sorry the magic you cgi’d in looks lame. wouldve been cooler animated.#thanks for coming to my daily tag rant#🧇💬

yuffie has many interesting elements to her but people refuse to move past "i find energetic kids annoying" and it makes me sad
#first of all...... treat kids with the grace + patience you wish you had been given when you were one. just. in general#second.....#god forbid a 16 year old have flaws...! especially when part of the boisterous energy is because she is masking#she has a very strong love for her home to the point she's gone into unknown territory#entirely in over her head! but she refuses to give up#it's an interesting way to look at how patriotism can affect a person when you look at the differing views of protecting wutai that her and#godo have. i'm so interested to see how 'a miserable daughter's homecoming' is gonna go in remake pt 3#given that we know they want to expand on wutai more than they could in the OG#remake intermission as well has been rolling around in my head bc i think its interesting that sonon still wants godo to be respected but#yuffie very much is like. nah fuck that old drunkard idgaf. at least thats how it comes across#i've always felt like the kleptomania was allowed to bloom because she didn't receive enough care or support on top of the patriotism from#young age... so the intermission dialogue makes me wonder if we'll delve into that potentially being the truth in part 3#anyway... rebirth gave such good yuffie + party sibling moments im excited to get more in part 3#especially with vincent because they're one of the funniest not-quite uncle and niece combos#yuffie ringing vincent post-AC and then he goes to cloud like 'tell her that's illegal' instead of just replying to her normally 💀funny af#pettiness off the charts. i adore their 'i do care about you greatly but i'd also sell you to satan for one (1) corn chip' dynamic#ultimately you like and dislike whatever characters#but its always worth looking past the surface level. you may discover that the layers have a unique charm to them#and if the charms don't appeal after that? well at least you now have a better understanding of the character. win/win#god knows i've tried to like characters and came out of diving into their facets -still- not liking them. but more often than not it#gives me some new appreciation of the character. because the depth is there you just have to put the effort in to connect the dots#(this was spurred on by brainless takes i saw in general chat of a public discord. yes i know. my own fault for looking in a godless place)#these tags are 2 short to add proper nuance to my thoughts but you get the idea. this has been my once in a blue moon ramble post o7#might delete later i just wanted the thoughts expelled teehee <3

My hottest goofiest most tumblr brain take is that genuinely most if not all media would be better if it was animated
#Like idk like a lot of movies are...already animated because of the massive use of cgi we just dont call them that#And the blend of live action and cgi just looks so bad to me and it always ages badly because no one cares how bad mixed media looks if#Youre not intentionally doing it for a reason thats not just exploiting non union labor#Plus advances in technology but its also like idk#Like its never gonna look as good as a fully animated movie even if the animation aged like#Obviously im biased im a little animation guy its just like idk we do rly need more adult animation because to me its just idk the best med#And you can make some insane looking stuff with animation and keep a more cohesive tone and visual style like#Like idk you cant make live action akira to me but you could make an animated the matrix...you could even call it the animatrix hey wait#Like idk in an ideal world we would be doing animated remakes of shit instead of the other way around or no remakes obviously#Anyways i am exaggerating but also idk geniunely animation is a medium that has so much to offer and idk it just doesnt get explored in th#Way i want very often especially now as 2d animation is being phased out for 3d animation which i support but well...not when again its jus#Because its cheaper#Anyways this is all to say im excited to see just how badly live action netflix one piece crashes and burns
