Native Americans are being targeted by ICE agents.
Native. Americans. Y’know, the people who were here before all the white people.

I think it's important to illustrate here that a memo is not a law, and I think a lot of people make that mistake and project way more power onto these people than they have to.
These people are humans. they can project as much power as they want to, they can make as many threats, they can arrest a few citizens as examples, but when they're at the house all of us should still not open the door, all of us should still ask for warrants, all of us should still record everything.
Doing immigrant justice, one of my mentors made a very big point that pointing out to officers your rights is power in itself, because it scares them and makes them second-guess themselves and it gives you leverage when working through the legal system. They can't say they haven't been told.
I think finally, there's a lot of white privilege going around in these discussions. They're not banging on our doors, they're not taking us without warrants. They are taking immigrants of color. And it shifts the politics of these fascist posturing. These communities need support, and it's the most base privilege politics, we have the privilege to gain leverage to support these communities and push back. I feel like post like these types of posts inspire more fear and paralysis when they should be a call to action
And every time I bring up criticisms like this people act as if the call to action is implied, but why is it never said out loud? Join New Sanctuary groups, join ice watch groups. Find out how to do Accompaniment. And don't just look into orgs that are full of white people under the age of 30. Join organizations who are caring about this issue before you started caring about this issue

So Trump says that he's going to bribe immigrants to self-deport by giving them $1,000.... So first and foremost. He does not have the power to do that. Congress controls the federal government funds, the U.S. Treasury. Not the executive branch. That is why DOGE is illegal, only Congress has the power to make these decisions. So, in other words, no he is not going to give immigrants $1,000 to self-deport. People should know that they will never see that money.

Trump has so far:
Attacked Americans right to speech and assembly (first ammendment)
Given ice and other law enforcement agencies the ability to violate your privacy (fourth ammendment)
Is arresting and prosecuting people without charge nor trial (fifth ammendment)
Once again trials being denied and the ones that do happen do not feature a jury nor an attorney (sixth and seventh ammendment)
Has sent Americans to hellish prisons in El Salvador where they will suffer cruel and unusual punishment (8th ammendment)
Denied trans and neurodivergent citizens and people of color several rights along with other rights I have forgotten (9th ammendment)
And aside from the fiasco that is in simple terms an American holocaust
He's killed the economy both with tarrifs and by letting elon destroy any government service that is not "needed" ie profitable
Has removed several people from their jobs on the excuse that they got their job on dei or without merit based on their race when really he's disregarding skill entirely and focusing solely on race, what anti dei is supposed to be, when really what hes doing is just resegregation
And other bone headed and buffoonish decisions that I have ommited

The mayor of Newark has been released. After being detained yesterday for protesting at a new immigration detention center.
Don’t be surprised if this becomes more normal.

I’m sure Greyhound has done training but I feel like everyone should know the difference between an administrative and judicial warrant.
A judicial warrant is an official court document signed by a judge authorizing entry, arrest, seizure, etc. These are the ones you legally have to comply with, and when you see something like “except by warrant” that’s what it means. You are legally obligated to follow this.
An administrative warrant is ICE internal documentation. It’s basically Monopoly money compared to a judicial warrant. It means that ICE can arrest but they do not need to be provided entry to private property, and does not authorize a search.
The National Immigration Law Center has a great fact sheet showing these legal differences
https://www.nilc.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/2025-Subpoenas-Warrants_.pdf
As well as the concept of administrative subpoenas which are also basically useless compared to an actual judicial one.
Know your rights, especially if you or someone you know might be asked to allow entry to ICE or immigration! If all they’ve got is an administrative warrant, you don’t have to let them on private property.
Also talk with your workplace about having a game plan for this. My job did a full training on it.

Gee, I wonder what the difference is…
The United States will begin admitting the first group of White South African refugees next week, whom President Trump’s administration has argued have been victims of “racial discrimination.”
“The refugee program is not intended as a solution for global poverty. And historically it has been used that way…this is an example of the president returning the refugee program to what it’s intended to be used as,” White House’s deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller said Friday.
“What’s happening in South Africa fits the textbook definition of why the refugee program was created…race based persecution,” Miller, Trump’s chief immigration policy architect, told reporters.
Miller’s remarks came after he was asked about news reports that at least 50 Afrikaners would be flown from Johannesburg to the U.S.
