Don't leave me
(A/n: Will I ever be kind to these characters? No. All the pain. All the hurt. Also why is there like no good images of Law crying? Besides him crying as a child. Let the man cry)
Tumblr media
Alani gasped for air, her lungs burning as she lay sprawled on the floor looking up at Law. His own chest was heaving as his hand slipped from his sword as he slammed it onto the ground next to her head. His face, which was usually so lax and disinterested, was twisted into something painful.
Fat tears dripped down his cheeks and landed on her. She watched as his lower lip quivered and his throat bobbed trying to swallow down sobs. Shakily his hands found her wrists. His grip was harsh as his head thunked against her chest.
Alani could feel her skin becoming tacky as he cried against her.
“Why?” His voice trembled as his lips moved wetly against her collar bone.
“Please just tell me why.” He was shaking, it made something deep inside her ache. His back was arched at an uncomfortable angle as he tried desperately to get closer to her. His face nuzzled up to her neck as his chin dug into her shoulder.
“You’re safe here. You’re safe with me.” She can feel his right hand trailing down her arm. His nails scraped along the skin leaving small stinging trails in their wake.
“I give you everything you ask for.” His tone was shifting. Wavering between despair and fury.
“I would do anything for you.” His anger is winning, his voice came out as a hiss. The barest hint of teeth threatened to sink into the thin skin of her neck.
“I love you. Why do you want to leave me?” His thumb and pointer finger found purchase on her cheeks. He digs them into the fat there making her wince. Law pushed himself up and he was glaring at her. Tears still sluggishly trailed down his face. He was hanging by a thread.
Alani starred up at Law. The man who loved her, who would do anything for her. She looked at his contorted face and trembling shoulders. She didn’t know what to say. She wanted to say something but she didn’t know how to make this better. Didn’t know how to explain that it’s not that she wanted to leave him. She loved him too but she didn’t want to be here.
Her lack of an answer makes his face crumble.
“Alani-ya tell me why.” The despair was leaking back in as her voice failed her. Her tongue turned to lead and her throat was full of cotton.
“Alani-ya talk to me.” His gaze was frantic as he searched hers. His fingers fell from her cheeks as a new wave of tears washed over his face. His eyes became glassy and bloodshot as he gripped her shoulders.
“Say something damnit!” He demanded. She wanted to, she wanted to speak. To reassure him in some way but she didn’t know how.
“Why won't you say anything!” His scream was desperate and bounced off the walls of the Polar Tang. It rattled around in her head as she felt her eyes begin to sting. Her own tears rolled down her face to get caught in her hair. Law’s arms wound around her waist, making her back arch against him as he sobbed into her neck. His body was rocking back and forth as he continued to wail. Muffled pleas were being spoken into the hollow of her throat.
Alani’s limbs felt stiff as she wrapped her own arms around Law’s shoulders. She felt him curl in on himself, sinking further into her embrace. She held him as tightly as she could. Trying to convey how she felt. She loved him, she did but she didn’t want to be here. This isn’t the life she wanted.
“Please.” He pleaded, his nails digging into her back.
“Don’t leave me.” Alani could feel as skin broke, thin lines of blood welled up and slipped down her spine. She let out a pained whine but she didn’t shove him away.
“Please don’t leave me.” Something in his voice shifted. It still sounded hoarse and wet but there was something slithering underneath. His hold on her tightened, she felt like she couldn’t breath.
“I won’t let you leave me.” Alani tried to pull back. Her mouth fell open to try and speak. But nothing came out, her throat closing as she caught a glimpse of Law’s expression.
“Room.”

@bylerween2023 DAY 2: SLASHERS, GORE & BODY HORROR
I'm an Evil Dead trilogy lover always, so a sort of... mash up. the intent is less 'this ST character as that specific Evil Dead character' overall and far more just 'put these guys in that situation': college students on a spring break trip to an old abandoned cabin in the woods gone so very wrong due to demons and deadites. a chainsaw is involved.
[I also wanna shout out this post from Robin @pinkeoni tht has stayed in my brain ever since i first saw it & is the reason Will's in the Ash 'they got control of his hand' situation here 👍]
And as anyone familiar with Evil Dead 2 may know, Ash cuts off his own hand when this happens in the movie, but… I just love the idea of the angst that would come from Will begging Mike to do it… being desperately asked to mutilate the person you’ve always tried to protect… needing the person you love to hurt you in such a drastic way just so you have a chance to carry on…

Horror House AU
Hehe Horror House returns(I had found only one piece of paper and I ended up drawing this)
When the world building comes out of nowhere/silly
[WARNING: BLOOD, GORE, BODY HORROR, OVER EXAGGERATED FEATURES, CENTIPEDE, IMPLIED DISMEMBERMENT]
Art and stuff under cut
[Note: certain few, who use VR instead of PC or Console, will be sucked into the game. Those who play with PC or Console will have a body substituted with a mannequin and will not be sucked into the game.]
Basically, the newer you are to The House, the closer you are to being the first person a random player goes against as you don't know much about how the game works. You go against everyone else first before you do this though. You can't leave once you're sucked into the game.
Only one person can play this game at a time, there is only one thing that can play it after all. Don't wear the headset if you don't want to be sucked in.
Pomni goes first! She is the newest member, after all!
Tumblr media
You need to keep away from her, may it be by running away or finding things to keep her away from you to keep her away. The farther you are from her, the more she'll need to exert herself to get to you. Once tired out, you figure out a way to get out of the area before she regains her energy again. She will wear herself out completely before she rests, falling to the floor and laying there for a relatively long time to regain her energy.
[Checkpoint]
Imagine Pomni going through everyone else's past this point.
Jax is here and is a force to be reckoned with, atleast from his perspective. He thinks he's gotten better than before.
Tumblr media
His area is like a maze of hallways, doors, closets, and at the end, somewhere you can completely escape his area from. He walks through the hallways trying to find you, cracking open the doors of the messed up rooms to check inside(hide behind the doors or under any in-tact bed). He taps the closet doors as he walks past them(don't make any noise, he will open and it will be game over[respawn]). Once you get to the end hall, you will need to run. There are no doors or closets in the end hall, all you have to do is keep running forward until you reach the end. His big size compared to the end hall will make it hard for him to go full speed as he will keep hitting his shoulders and head on the roof. The exit to his 'level' is a door that is slowly going down the entire run through the end hallway, triggered by you, or him, stepping on something at the beginning of the end hall. You must slide under it at the end of the hall to escape. He will run into the door and pound on it in anger, trying to get to you, but it will be for naught as you have already beat his level.
[Checkpoint]
Next, Zooble, the interchangeable and unpredictable. Even if they are predictable with some patterns.
Tumblr media
Their area is a large open space with one exit for you to escape. Above hangs many things that will be large objects, bodies and body parts, and scattered around the room are presumably more and random large objects to hide around. They are quite smart and quiet so be sure to listen for anything that could be them, like quiet huffs or half-shuffling steps. How you get out of the area is finding a lever or button or something to drop something heavy onto them without anything falling on yourself or being caught by them. Anything heavy enough falling on them will cause them to break, falling into pieces. Leave through the now opened exit before they put themselves together with whatever pieces they can find. Be fast.
[Checkpoint]
Gangle is next and she's the most timid of the group but don't let that fool you.
Tumblr media
You are in a dark room with papers covered in drawings littering the floor and walls. Gangle is curled like a snake somewhere where you can see her but it's just dark enough to where you can't see her face. She will kindly approach you with her comedy mask seemingly glued together and ask you to help her with a drawing or some writing[this won't be important to the main game]. If you don't break her comedy mask, good for you! You got to go free easy! If you did, there is a sad mask underneath in a darker shade than the comedy mask, also seemingly glued together, and the comedy mask is hanging to it with strange threads of something you can't identify. Her sad mask is more "hostile" so to say and she asks you to help her with something else which is more deadly to you. She sobs every time she speaks, shaking while she slithers around. If you survive what she asked of you and don't break her sad mask, good for you! You get to leave with only the trauma of her sad mask! If you survive but break her sad mask... You must run and find something to trap her. Under her sad mask is a distraught and fearful mask that screeches loudly as if in pain once the sad mask was broken, still hanging to that mask with the comedy mask still hanging to it in the same way. Once her sad mask is broken, she slithers into the dark with that for mentioned screech and that is your cue to run and find something to trap her in, like a heavy box or a deep hole in the ground, which there is right in front of the exit with just enough room between the end of the level and the door for you to walk around the hole and leave once she falls in with a perfectly timed side-step.
[Checkpoint]
Ah yes, our beloved blind ragdoll, Ragatha! One of the sweetest!
Tumblr media
Once in her domain, it's a lovely, relatively large, store-looking place, with spiderwebs in the corners and dust everywhere as if it isn't cared for despite Ragatha's attempts to clean her area. A small bell, upon entering, will ring and notify her of your presence and she will welcome you with kindness. If you are polite in return, she will help lead you to the exit and open it for you, but she won't be able to come with you. If you treat her rudely, she will turn to violence and try to find you. Be quiet and find the code for the door, tucking around corners silently to avoid her if she comes near. Once you find the code, you must make your way to the door without notifying her where you are even once and avoiding her if she comes near. Once you put the code in to the end door, you can leave the area and continue on your way.
[Checkpoint]
Kinger, the largest but probably the easiest to get past if your quiet, is second to last, everyone!
Tumblr media
Do not wake him up. His area is a large fortress made of old, hole filled wood pillars, old, torn blankets and pillows, and partially stone walls. There are many large bugs, mostly centipedes about the size of an average 10 year old, crawling around the area, never crawling into your path for more than a few seconds. Make sure you don't step on them, you don't want to make the king angry. Once you enter this decrepit castle, it is mostly empty aside from this 50 foot long centipede-chess piece curled up and sleeping soundly. If you step on any of the bugs that might crawl in your path or if you touch him even slightly, he will wake up and you can't escape as he kills you[respawn]. Don't step on any of the bugs and don't touch him and you're home free, there's the exit on the complete opposite side of him from the entrance to his impenetrable fortress.
[Checkpoint]
I bet you guys weren't expecting Caine of all people to be the final boss, right? I bet you guessed from Kinger's introduction! Well here he is!
Tumblr media
He will never change, no matter who comes and goes before him. He is the owner of this terrifying territory, after all! The ringmaster, if it were a Circus! He stands in the center of a large, dark, dully colored yet very colorful room, inside a ring. This room looks most Circus like, like the inside of a tent. You don't have to defeat Caine, really, just beat his "pets." The abstractions. To those who have been in The House for a long time, they sadly know how these terrifying creatures came to be. Not fully code, but once human like the majority of them were gone mad and lost every bit of their mind! The older beasts are larger than the newer ones, so you can tell who's been there the longest. Unbeknownst to you, Caine is definitely going easy on you, only using the newer abstractions, as they are not very well at their job: ending you. You just have to run past everything and get to the last door, an end for the ones who didn't get sucked into this world, or a void for the ones who did.
[End] [Checkpoint]
OK THATS IT!
I am so sorry that one was so long but I really got sucked into writing this. I hope y'all enjoyed what y'all read if you read it all! I hope some of y'all also saw some references I made to other horror games I like playing or watching, like Doors or Little Nightmares(1+2)!
I really enjoyed writing this but this was all in one sitting, on mobile, and I don't know how to word things right sometimes or even spell some words correctly so some things might look weird. Yes, English is my first language but I am still not good at it despite graduating Highschool last year.
I put more effort into this than any writing assignments I got in school anyways all cuz I had a random paper and drew these goofs again after so long of only being able to draw on mobile.

When a Tomb Becomes a Womb (Part 1: Rings)
Well, it’s finally happened: I wrote a story for a movie rather than YouTube Egos. (Not that this is gonna become a regular thing, mind you. Lisa Frankenstein just so happened to check all the right boxes for my hyperfixation and brainrot.)
(Disclaimer: While I agree that Creature doesn’t really need an actual name to be a great character, I still decided to give him a headcanon name—which is Callum, since I think it would fit him— just because this entire story is from his perspective. Mentioning his "true," pre-death name just seems logical. Neither of the characters in this story belongs to me. Lisa Swallows and The Creature are the property of Zelda Williams and Diablo Cody.)
(Trigger Warnings: implied murder/death, implied violence, gore/blood, mentions of electrocution and fire, scars, body horror, dismemberment. Please let me know if I missed anything.)
The soil was loose and soft. It yielded to the shovel’s rusty spade quite easily.
Though many emotions were thrumming through Callum’s skull at the moment, surprise wasn’t one of them.
While dark clouds had clogged up the night sky, hiding the stars and moon and bloating with rain that would fall sooner or later, the current season was warm, and so the ground wasn’t too firm.
This plot had only been filled hours ago. This grave was fresh; infinitely fresher than his had been.
By now, Callum estimated that it’d taken at least half a day for him to crawl up through the ground and breach the surface like one of the several worms slithering around inside him.
He hadn’t exactly been in the right headspace to consider it at first; back then, all he’d been able to know was light and electricity and shuddering and pain and. . .Lisa’s words.
Lisa’s words.
The same thing that fueled Callum to escape his tomb was now guiding him to free Lisa from hers, all with the same amount of violent tremors and desperation.
It was poetic, honestly.
Perhaps it would’ve been a bit more poetic if he didn’t have to get so filthy in the process.
Oh, well. He could take care of that later. (Besides, the stains on his clothes were nothing compared to the layers of grime and mold and fungus that had been caked all over him on that first, fateful night.)
Right now, unearthing his beloved without getting caught seemed like a much more important thing to focus on.
His grip was vicelike around the wooden handle as he threw one shovelful after another to the side.
Almost there, Callum thought. (If he could speak, he’d be repeating that mantra in a whisper like his life depended on it. Which. . .well, it logically didn’t, but it technically did. The same went for Lisa.) Almost there.
He’d wanted to take her away sooner. He would’ve been perfectly fine with forcing her family to waste money on a casket. Really, what good was a casket if you buried it empty?
But the distinct lack of a corpse would have just caused more problems. As dense as her family seemed to be, they’d still know that the shiny, glowing box (Lisa had called it a. . .tanning bed? If memory served?) wouldn’t have been capable of reducing a person to ashes no matter how dangerous it was.
He knew she wasn’t dead. Not completely; not truly. Yes, the combination of electrical currents and fire may have worked its horrific magic on her body. . .but that magic just hadn’t followed through altogether as it probably should have.
The way the bed had convinced foreign limbs to function as intended mere minutes after Lisa sewed them onto him. . .the way it had rejuvenated his centuries-dead flesh bit by bit. . .
It had some kind of similar effect on Lisa. The vast majority of her had died, but there was still a strong, stubborn ember of something in her that was very much determined to live.
Callum knew that very well. He’d seen proof of it before being forced to flee from the fire.
But Lisa’s family didn’t. As far as they knew, she was gone and never coming back. So, if she just disappeared before they could bury her, then they’d have an excuse to try and track her down. And if that happened, neither she nor her husband would get another chance. . .
Callum ground his jaw, putting even more force behind the shovel.
The hole grew deeper.
The pile of disturbed earth beside it grew bigger.
The dull, scraping tempo of grave-robbery began to sound like hitching gasps and sobs.
Just as the clouds started ominously humming about their plans for the night, the shovel reverberated after finally, finally, finally striking something much more solid than dirt.
Callum tossed the tool aside in favor of getting down on his knees, now using his hands to clear away a blanket of finer, thinner soil.
He hoped Lisa could hear him digging. (Though if that was the case, then the state of her brain could potentially make her think that the sounds were echoing from somewhere farther beneath her. Which would be. . .less than ideal, as Callum didn’t enjoy the idea of scaring her again. )
Even in his anxiety, he subconsciously shook his head. Lisa had taken him in and repaired him even after being initially terrified. Lisa trusted him, loved him; if she didn’t, then he never would have woken up in the first place.
More time passed, and a soft, cold gleam suddenly manifested in the darkness.
Glossy wood.
The coffin’s upper door.
Callum groped at the edge of it, tugging with all his strength.
An odd, warm feeling skittered up his spine and shook through his ribcage.
A low creeeeaaak rattled through the air as the lid was pried open.
. . .And there she was.
___
Callum had always been a fast learner, and yet he still had no idea what to make of his pulse.
It’d been extremely jarring when he’d first awoken. The days that followed, it was irregular. Sometimes he could feel it, sometimes he couldn’t. It was always soft—following more of a murmur than a steady beat—always irregular, barely there at all.
Right now, however, it both sounded and felt very far away. More present than it had been when he’d performed a highly unorthodox beheading on that stain of a man who’d upset Lisa.
Hell, it almost seemed louder and stronger than it had been on the most recent evening he’d spent with Lisa; the one that saw the two of them embracing and reeling and dreaming together. . .
Everything else was a blur as he brought her to her new bed, carrying her like the bride she was. He had to move slowly, carefully, feeling more anxious and unwieldy than ever.
Well, at least until he laid her down, making sure the pillow offered enough support for her neck.
After that, he was much, much more erratic.
He sprinted about the house, tearing almost every other room apart as he searched. It felt like several hours had passed by the time he finally found what he—what his beloved—needed: a white, sterile-looking container. He opened it, just to be certain, then tucked it under one arm and hurried back over to the bedroom.
Every square inch of Lisa’s body was blistered to hell and back, adorned by a network of puffy, angry-looking veins that, had her heart still been beating, would have more or less threatened to burst at any given moment. Red and raw, several sections on her arms, legs, and chest having peeled off to reveal glistening tissue.
Her mane of thick, curly auburn hair had been reduced to a few small, fried patches that clung to the charred flesh of her scalp with a strength similar to bubblegum and well-intentioned vibes. There was a possibility that she’d died with her eyes open, but the awful swelling of the skin around their sockets had sealed them shut.
None of that mattered, of course.
Lisa was still just as beautiful as when Callum had first met her. She always, always would be.
. . .Even so, those injuries had to be dealt with. Despite what Lisa had said before about accepting a person’s flaws, Callum’s instincts told him she wouldn’t appreciate being left to resemble a puppet made of half-raw-half-cooked steaks.
Callum set the medical kit down on the nightstand, ferreting out generous rolls of gauze as he loomed over the side of the bed.
The world finally seemed to slow back down as he got to work.
It didn’t take long for him to find a gentle, precise cadence as he wrapped bandage after bandage after bandage around his beloved’s form. Something in the back of his mind wondered if this was what spiders felt like when they spun strands of silk together to make their webs.
Although Lisa’s skin hadn’t been rendered translucent, the burns in some places went deep enough for Callum to catch a glimpse of her organs. Both of her lungs were blackened, seared, sunken. Her heart was equally misshapen, now boasting a similar appearance to a blob of melted wax, looking like it was seconds away from collapsing in on itself.
But even as all the carnage was swallowed up by more strips of gauze, Callum could still see the heart twitch. The movement only lasted for half a second or so, but there was no doubting that it’d happened. . .
Lisa still had a chance. She would never be truly alive again, but she could still come back.
She couldn’t wake up by herself. . .but she wouldn’t have to.
He’d find a way to help, just as she’d done for him.
Callum blinked for the first time all night, and his hands were suddenly free; he was suddenly sitting at the foot of the new bed.
Lisa was cloaked quite literally from head to toe in clean, snow-white bandages. It was like he'd made the perfect combination of shroud and wedding dress for her to wear.
The thought made a small smile tug at his lips.
Then he shook his head.
He couldn’t relax just yet. There were other things to be taken care of right now. Two other things, to be specific.
Callum got to his feet and crossed the new bedroom to quietly close the door. He ventured down a narrow hallway, peering at an assortment of unfamiliar pictures hanging on the walls around him. Disposing of them would probably be another chore for him later.
His footsteps sounded hollow and heavy as he descended the staircase. (Unlike Lisa’s former home, the floors of this house were all hardwood rather than carpet. True, they wouldn’t muffle noise very well, but it was still quite a lucky coincidence.)
He’d found this house completely by accident, when he’d still been trying to follow Lisa’s path.
Even with the remnants of that lightning bolt sparking in his stagnant blood, even with Lisa’s voice echoing through his resurrected mind, it’d still taken so much time for him to truly wake up. He grimaced at the thought of how long he’d had to crawl around the cemetery before he could stand upright.
(And that wasn’t even mentioning the state his vision had been in. The layers of rancid slime and dirt clinging to his face had made everything around him blurry and distorted. The fact that his eyes were also full of maggots at the time certainly hadn’t helped.)
He’d had to wander the surrounding woods for hours and hours before he could finally walk. The rot in his bones had kept his movement slow and uneven, but a bad limp was still better than collapsing every other moment.
Callum wasn’t sure how the house’s previous owners hadn’t seen or heard him that night. They certainly had a few hours ago, but that wasn’t a factor anymore.
He crept into the living room, where he paced a few slow circles around the fresh corpse lying in the center of all the controlled chaos. The crimson splatters now adorning the floor, the walls, the sofa’s floral print almost seemed to glitter.
Another carcass could be found just a few feet away, sprawled across the wide threshold that led into the dining room. The face was obscured, as blood was still leaking out to add to a large puddle that continued to slowly spread, inch-by-inch.
Callum folded his arms across his chest, drumming the nails of his replacement hand against his cheek. He remembered what Lisa had said when he’d silently begged her to help him find new parts; a contemplative murmur about there being bad people in the world. . .
Her relief and gratitude when he’d bludgeoned that horrible excuse for a mother to death.
Her cathartic happiness when he’d dismembered the scum who’d tried to put his filthy hands on her.
Her tearful joy when she eventually realized why he’d risked so much to take a particularly crucial piece from the ignoramus who’d dared to play with her emotions. . .
It had all been so wonderful to see.
Those victims had all hurt Lisa, and they likely would've hurt others as well. Their deaths wouldn’t be an actual loss to the community.
But this. . .
Lisa definitely wouldn’t have approved of this. Yes, she’d understand why Callum had done what he’d done; after everything they’d been through, of course the two of them needed a quiet place to stay, if only for a while until they found somewhere better. A place that was a fair distance from both the town and the cemetery. A place just like this.
But. . .
A raspy sigh escaped Callum’s lips.
He'd work with more tact in the future.
Once Lisa was awake, things would be better. He’d listen to her input. They would make important decisions together.
Callum’s eyes wandered about, eventually settling on the axe—the same one Lisa had taken from her father’s garage—he’d left propped up against the adjacent wall. It was slathered in gore, to the point that its wooden handle was just as red as the paint on its blade.
He approached to pick it up, letting the weapon’s belly rest on his shoulder. Then he stooped down, using his free hand to take hold of the first corpse’s wrists. More of the floor was painted red as he dragged it into the kitchen. He retraced his steps to collect the second body, coming dangerously close to slipping on the blood as he hefted his victim onto the countertop.
The next hour or so was filled with dull thuds, with splintery pops and cra-A-a-cks, with the drip-drip-drip of thick fluid oozing down the lower cabinets and plopping onto the floor.
The axe was too heavy to be the most precise tool, but it was still efficient. It only took a few good swings to sever limbs from torsos and heads from necks.
Callum couldn’t bury either of these bodies. Not right away, at least. Fortunately, he soon discovered that there were more than enough black trash bags under the sink to work with.
Lisa’s body obviously needed repair, but he wasn’t sure which repairs should come first. (He knew she’d require a new pair of eyes, but he didn’t want to risk forcing her current ones open just yet.) Would it be better to take off her old limbs and put new ones in their place, or to simply slice off layers of skin and attach a new barrier to her burnt flesh?
Wait and see, a voice in his head suggested. Callum nodded to himself; when Lisa was able to communicate again, he’d organize these plans with her. It was only right, after all.
Callum set the axe down by the sink, now focusing on wrapping up the detached pieces of human in tight, layered cocoons that crinkled with every second. Packing all the bundles into the freezer and refrigerator in a way that kept them from sliding right back out was far more aggravating than he would’ve cared to admit, but he managed.
He gave pause, however, when it came to the two remaining pieces.
A pair of forearms, to be specific, with their hands still attached.
One from each corpse.
Something small and metallic glinted around the fourth finger on each of them.
The first ring had a very simple design: just a smooth, golden band.
The second ring, meanwhile, was silver, mounted with a shiny stone.
It wasn’t a diamond by any means. Callum couldn’t tell what kind of gem it was, honestly. But it was gorgeous—it’d been carved into a smooth, perfect orb. It reminded him of an ember at the heart of a firepit, boasting a graceful mix of orange and red with a few soft hints of yellow.
The colors reminded him of that one night.
Callum shoved the forearms into hiding with all the other parts, the two rings now nestled in his palm. With that, he exited the kitchen, an unfamiliar spring in his step as he ventured back up the staircase. Yes, he still had an enormous bloody mess to clean up, but this took priority.
His odd, partial heartbeat echoed in his ears as he re-entered the new bedroom and knelt down beside the bed.
Slowly, delicately, Callum took one of Lisa’s hands in his. He pressed a small kiss to her bandaged knuckles before sliding the new ring onto her finger.
It fit perfectly. Just like the gold ring did for him.
As for the odd-yet-sweet candy loop he’d made do with for the original proposal. . .well, he decided to leave it on the nightstand.
Just in case Lisa wanted to keep it when she woke up.

Friendly Neighborhood Criminals Part 5
Fandom: Sanders Sides
Pairings: platonic Patton/Dark Sides
Summary: Patton has never celebrated Halloween before. His new friends find this unacceptable. Que spooky shenanigans.
Ao3 Link: click here
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
A/N: DnDeceit (Hazgarn) asked for Halloween shenanigans. I am here to deliver.
Also, since it will probably never come up in the story specifically, Patton is 20, Virgil 25, Remus 31, and Janus 36.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Turn to the left. Little more. Okay, hold on."
Brush bristles graze across Patton's cheekbone up into his temple. It's a tickle he's gotten used to over the past thirty minutes or so, but reflexively he giggles now and then. It's like eyelashes kissing his skin in little butterfly flutters! So light and calming.
Virgil sits with him on Patton's bed, both of them facing each other. He works with his tongue caught between his teeth in concentration. Colorful palettes of blushes and eyeshadow dominate the space around them, courtesy of Virgil's personal collection. Some of it dusted across Patton's sheets, despite Virgil's best efforts, but Patton assured him that it was part of the fun! There's no way Patton can be upset with Virgil anyway. Not after he's graciously volunteered to do Patton's Halloween makeup!
Virgil's own under eye shadow has been replaced this evening. The eyes are still smokey, yet softer in a blend of purple and silver highlights. Tiny stars and moons are painstakingly painted around his brows and the corners of his eyes, accentuated by glued on rhinestones. Together with his matte, plumb lipstick, Virgil's face looks ethereally beautiful.
He still hasn't told Patton what his costume is. Patton keeps guessing and Virgil gives a secretive smile without letting on either way.
"Is it an anime magical girl?"
"Do I look like I could pull off being a magical girl?"
"I think you could pull off anything, Virge. You're very pretty."
"Aww, it's cute that you think compliments will work on me."
And Patton giggles again just because he's happy. Lately, he and Virgil have been texting and hanging out a lot. He's closer to Patton age-wise, so it's easier to connect on that front. More than that, Virgil possesses a quiet passion about him that is borne from more than a mere desire to produce art. It extends to his friends' well-being with an uncanny attention for detail. Patton has seen it in the way that he worries for Remus and Janus and the gruff ways he checks in on them to make sure they're taking care of themselves.
It's a more unrefined version of the way Janus goes about taking care of people, but no less endearing. Patton wonders if Virgil is conscious of emulating him, if that's where he's learned it. Janus is downright parental, always feeding them and reminding them to rest. Watching them with eyes that know more than what his boys tell him and able to glean the sources of their struggles without them ever having to voice them. It's different than Patton's own parents...
Remus, on the other hand, is akin to a bold big brother in his protective instincts. Constantly teasing, unerring in his acts of affection. Patton has learned in large part to Remus's efforts that touches are not a warning to impending punishment, or that they have to hurt. Remus gives swaddling hugs and cuddles that make you feel safe, and Patton has steadily become addicted to them.
Virgil though, he reminds Patton of his friend Valerie, how they were back in high school. In those days, Patton could forget for a while about home and the fear that waited for him there at the end of each day. When they were together, they could talk about anything they wanted, whether it be dreams or pep rallies or theater club or places they wanted to go. It brought peace of mind and Patton is forever grateful to her.
And now, Patton feels the same about Virgil. He hasn't described his feelings to him yet, not knowing if Virgil feels the same. Also, he doesn't know if he's allowed to have two best-friends. Valerie is still close in his heart, and they text or call most days. But now he's kind of doing the same thing with Virgil, and it feels so easy, and Virgil is so different than Valerie or Patton in the most wonderful way! What is he to do? This is untreked territory!
If a person can have two best friends, Patton would choose Virgil.
"I think that's it. Look forward for me," Virgil commands, sitting down the brush. Patton follows his instruction and Virgil leans from side to side to check the symmetry.
"I'm sure it looks wonderful," Patton insists. "You're really talented."
"Still not telling you."
A laugh tumbles out, care-free. "I wasn't trying that time! Promise! I really mean it, Virge."
"Well, I'm glad that you think that then."
Patton shakes his head. He has found that Virgil struggles when accepting compliments. It's not so...dissimilar from his own predicament. Patton hopes that helping Virgil may help himself one day. Besides, Virgil deserves all the compliments!
"Wanna take a look?" Virgil holds out a handheld mirror. Patton takes it and lets out a gust of breath at viewing the final product. "Wow, Virge. This is... This is just, wow."
Patton barely recognizes himself. The sockets of his eyes are caverns that stretch out into hatching lines, like shadowy pieces of hay. Stitch-work decorates his lips and travels farther than the corners of his mouth. And his cheeks appear concave with the shade of blush, very gaunt.
He looks like a spooky scarecrow!
"You like it?" Virgil asks hesitantly.
Patton sits down the mirror. "Like it? I love it! I could crow all day about it!"
Virgil groans, "What have I done?"
Patton can't wait to put on the rest of his scarecrow costume.
***
Virgil drives them back to the lair to meet up with Remus and so that he can change into his own costume. Patton jaunts into the apartment with a pep to his step, enjoying hearing his costume swish with the sound of hay.
Remus sits/lays on the couch upside down. He's wearing a full-body black and red spandex costume like a superhero but without a mask. There's no make up on his face, but the blood rushes to his face something fierce.
"Why are you guys walking on the ceiling?" Remus asks.
Virgil snorts and knocks him gently in the shoulder with a foot. "Why are you still sulking?"
"I'm not sulking. If anyone sulks, it's you, Incredible Sulk. Mother Sulker. King of the Sulks."
"Yeah, you're still sulking."
"You're sulking?" Patton asks. He kneels down on Remus's other side in concern.
Remus blows a raspberry at Virgil, but answers Patton. "No, I just said I'm not sulking. This is me, not sulking."
"I feel like we've said that word so much that it's not a word anymore," Virgil grimaces. At Patton's questioning look, Virgil explains, "Remus is mad because me and Janus vetoed his costume choice."
"Why? What's wrong with it? It looks fine on him."
"Not this one. He wanted to dress up as Woody from 'Toy Story'."
"Oh, what's wrong with that? That seems pretty wholesome."
"Two words: assless chaps."
"I... I... I'm afraid to ask what those are."
"Please don't. Please just stay pure."
Remus harrumphs to get the attention back on him. "I wanted to get to say 'There's a snake in my butt!' I had a snake prepared and everything!"
"Please, for the love of God, don't explain further than that. I'm gonna go get dressed now, so can you keep Patton company– without corrupting his mind?"
Remus glances over Patton in consideration. "But he looks so corruptible."
"Your funeral if Janus finds out," Virgil says and disappears down the hallway.
Patton remains sitting with Remus who seems unaware that his head is turning into a tomato. He's starting to resemble his costume.
Spurred on by his good mood, Patton initiates physical contact in hopes of comforting him. It's something he's been shy about and only managed with Remus so far, but he's getting better! He pats at Remus's arm.
"If it makes you feel any better, I like this costume. You look super cool."
"Yeah, I do," Remus agrees begrudgingly. "I still wanted to show off my ass, so Deadpool seemed like a good runner up. He's like, my spirit animal, you know? We're ass brothers."
Patton giggles at the zany train of thought. He laughs harder when Remus asks if he'd like a demonstration of how his butt looks in his costume. Remus springs up and strikes a hip-cocking pose, smacking his booty to make it jiggle.
"I know what you're thinking," Remus says, faux-serious. "But I assure you, this dump truck is all natural."
Patton hums thoughtfully, "Yeah, my butt's just filled with hay."
Patton isn't exactly sure why Remus lays on the ground crying with laughter for the next several minutes, but he's incredibly proud all the same.
Virgil walks out in a flowy witch costume complete with crooked pointy hat and buckled boots. When he finds Remus still cackling, he sighs and sweeps at him with his broom until the man can pull himself together.
***
The next step is to pick up Janus.
Patton sits jittery in the backseat of the car. He sings softly along to the radio to the few songs that sound familiar. Remus attempts several times to commandeer the radio only for Virgil to slap his hands every time.
"Driver picks music."
"Then let me drive!"
"Never in a thousand years."
And on they banter over the music. Virgil has always been the driver, and Patton has learned from context that Remus is not allowed to drive anything other than his motorcycle. Even then, the others refuse to ride on the motorcycle with him. Patton has considered riding again with Remus, not remembering much from that one night a couple of months ago when Remus picked him up. Remus has offered too, several times in fact, but Janus and Virgil seem to think it's a death sentence.
They're in the same maroon car as always. Patton thinks that it's Janus's car but Virgil is his designated driver. In the context of them being criminals, Patton has daydreamed Virgil in high-speed chases. But whenever Patton's in the car, Virgil never goes over the speed limit and stops at every red light.
Coming out of his musings, Patton glances out the window to see that they're cruising through a lovely suburban neighborhood. The car slows and pulls up to a one-story house, not overly large. The white garage and front door stand out against the cobalt blue siding. White trim and a white banister around the front porch. Black shingles interrupted by a chimney. A green line of bushes hedge around the side.
It's more unassuming than Patton would have imagined for someone like Janus.
A tall lady in a floor-length white dress and wide brimmed black hat exits the front door and clicks down the driveway in dangerously high pearly heels. Patton blinks and tightens his grip on his seat belt as the unknown woman opens the back door to slide into the car.
Remus wolf whistles. "How much would I have to pay for you to step on me?"
"Honey, I'm priceless," the lady says in Janus's voice.
Patton is suddenly extremely aware that this is not a lady but Janus in costume. His face burns scarlet, and he holds his cheeks in embarrassment.
Janus notices immediately and turns to him. "Everything alright, dear? Your costume is very cute, by the way. Very spooky."
"I didn't realize that was you!" Patton admits. He admires the delicate silk dress. It's long sleeved and Janus's usual yellow gloves are replaced with black fitted lace ones. There's a large black rose sewn into the collar off to one side. And Janus's makeup is pristine in pale foundation, false eyelashes, and fire truck red lipstick.
Janus smiles demurely. "I suppose that's the point of costumes."
"You look really good. I didn't think–" Patton cuts himself off before he says something terribly offensive. Janus cocks a fine eyebrow and sees through him anyway.
"You didn't think I would wear a dress?"
"I... yes? Maybe? I'm sorry."
"You're forgiven. I do tend to wear suits most of the time. I save drag for special occasions."
"There's never a wrong time to dress in drag," Virgil pipes up.
"What's drag?" Patton asks.
There's a moment where they all stare at him, making Patton fear that he said something stupid. But then Remus says, "Okay, we are so watching 'Ru Paul's Drag Race' when we get back home."
Janus gives the most gleeful grin that Patton has ever seen him wear. "Patton, darling, we are going to open up your whole world."
***
Outside the city limits, they reach a sprawling field of pumpkins. Dozens of parents and children and couples and groups of teens in costumes swarm around the pumpkin patch. A line of kiddos mill about at a face-painting booth. Another area offers apple bopping and horseshoe tosses. Further on, tables are set up with various fall themed baked goods for sale.
It's like an October fairytale, or a Halloween Hallmark movie.
"There's so many!" Patton exclaims, gazing out at the ocean of orange vegetables. His fingers press against the car window, and he can hardly drink in one sight before turning to the next.
When the car is put in park, Patton wastes no time in launching out of the car. The evening is crisp and smoke wafts in the wind. There must be a fire pit somewhere nearby. Patton jumps up and down, throwing his arms out wide.
Remus comes over to jump beside him, matching his energy. "Ready to smash some pumpkins, Pattycake?"
"Let's smash all the pumpkins!" Patton squeals, delirious in his excitement.
"But the farmers worked so hard for their bounty," Janus chides. "Maybe limit it to a handful?"
"An-ar-chy! An-ar-chy!" Virgil starts cheering, and well, Janus can't stop the rampant rebellion after that.
Janus watches the three of them run off together, shaking his head with a put-upon sigh. He's not going to spoil their spirits, but he sure as hell is not chasing after them in six-inch pumps through the grass.
A tugging at Janus's skirt pulls his attention downwards. Beside his legs, a little girl in a bumblebee costume gazes up at him imploringly.
"Do you know where the bathroom is?"
Someone save him.
Patton, Virgil, and Remus do not in fact destroy pumpkins. They purchase a few and carry them over to the carving station that's set up. Patton scrutinizes the carving knife, and Virgil takes the blade before he can reach for it and hacks his open for him.
"It's all stringy!" Patton gasps after the top is removed. He reaches in and grabs a handful of pumpkin mixed with pale seeds.
"Guts! Glorious guts everywhere!" Remus whoops as he tosses his pumpkin bits into the air to land back on him in a mess.
"Ay, watch it," Virgil snaps and leans out of the splash zone. Patton, feeling mischievous, picks up a clump of pumpkin and drapes it over Virgil's shoulder. Virgil notices immediately of course and gives him an unimpressed look. "Really, Pat?"
Patton giggles, "I'm just having a gourd time."
The pumpkins are emptied and the real carving can begin. Patton's is a mishappen silly face while Virgil forgoes a face at all. Instead, he works to shape a couple of bats flying over a haunted house. Remus gets halfway through his before Virgil spies what he's making and unceremoniously smashes his pumpkin.
"This is a family friendly event," Virgil warns him.
"Prude."
"I'm not letting you get us kicked out. Think of the child."
"What?" Patton pops his head up. "Where's Janus by the way?"
They eventually spot Janus whiling the time away sitting on a rectangular hay bale. There's a group of kids piled around him in a semi-circle on the ground, listening to him tell scary stories. People seem to be under the impression that he works for the event.
Remus goes to get another pumpkin. Not to carve but to play with the guts again. Patton finishes his carving and does another silly face on Remus's second pumpkin. Virgil finishes his work of art and Patton fawns over it so much that Virgil offers for him to keep it. He's a little startled by the strength of the hug Patton gives him.
***
Following the pumpkin patch, their next stop is a haunted house. It's not a legitimate haunted house, thankfully. It's an attraction where people pay to go through dark hallways and be jump scared by workers dressed in costumes. By the time they arrive, Patton is struck by one important detail.
"How dark do you think it is in there?" Patton asks.
They're standing in line to wait for their turn to enter. It's a popular place with no small budget. There are large pieces of ghosts and ghouls lit up by spotlights. Fog billows out from machines. A few workers dressed in costume walk out from behind curtains now and then to up the anticipation. Patrons who have already gone through come back around to line up again.
"I've never been to one myself," Janus admits, looking to the others for an answer.
Remus waves his hand sideways in the air, noncommittal, "Eh, mostly dark? It depends. In some areas, there can be flashing light or low light. Like a static-y TV or flickering bulbs."
"If it was pitch black, it'd be a tripping hazard," Virgil points out. "Plus, you wouldn't be able to see the monsters trying to scare you. Not that you'll see all of them. They'll try to scare you with sound too."
"Still feeling up to it?" Janus questions Patton. "There's no shame if you want to back out now."
"Are you just saying that because you want to wimp out?" Remus suggests with a smirk.
Janus scoffs, "I don't feel fear."
"You guys already bought the tickets though," Patton says hesitantly. Then, pulling himself up in his overalls, he huffs out air in determination. "Besides, this will be fun! I want to do this with you guys."
If he could sleep in his apartment with a nightlight, he could do this. And he would have the others with him. He could be brave, with them.
Janus scoops up his hand and a bit of the gusto flees him. In its place is warmth and stability.
"If it gets too much, just take my hand, alright?"
The warmth spreads to Patton's cheeks. He hums out a positive and smiles. He scoots a bit closer, and Janus doesn't release his hand so Patton doesn't either.
Remus shows the door attendant their online tickets from his phone, and they all get slapped with wristbands. There are last minute reminders, assurances that the workers are not allowed to touch them and warnings that some of the lights may cause seizures. Patton doesn't think he'll have a problem with the lights, and it's a huge relief that no strangers will be touching him.
In they go into the dark and Patton braces himself by gripping Janus's hand tighter. They bring up the rear with Remus and Virgil leading the pack.
There are whispered voices and random shouts from afar. A growl sounds behind them but when Patton twists around, there's nothing there.
The first major room they come to is not accessible. It's behind a rusty chain link fence. Patton can peek inside to see in the red glow of an exit sign that it's similar to a hospital scene. A lone wheelchair sits empty in the middle and slowly starts rolling about a foot on its own.
"The ghosts of patients' past," Remus murmurs.
Then a figure slams into the fence, causing them all to step back. It's a bloodied nurse, snarling at them.
"Oh, that's such a good costume!" Patton applauds, literally clapping. "The blood looks so real!"
"Thanksssss," the nurse hisses and crawls back down into her hiding spot.
"Not scared yet, Pat?" Virgil asks skeptically.
Patton grins. "This is fun! Let's keep going!"
Onward they walk through more hallways and find more rooms. There's a little living room area where a figure sits in front of a TV illuminated in static. Patton approaches to get a better look and the person comes alive. A zombie with a knife stuck in its chest jumps up and roars at Patton.
Peals of laughter escape Patton even as Janus flinches back. "Ahh, you got me good!"
And the next room features a torture chamber. A muscled person wearing an executioner's hood stands by a crude operating table with a half-covered body.
"Spin the wheel," a deep, gravelly voice beckons and the man points at a stained standing wheel. It features sections labeled as different body parts.
"Ooh, points for interactive," Virgil praises. "Waddya say, Pat? Wanna spin to win?"
"Can I?!" Patton exudes pure enthusiasm and bounces up beside the wheel.
"Aren't you a little too eager?" Janus cautions.
Remus shushes him. "Do your worst, Pattycake!"
Patton let's go of Janus's hand long enough to throw his weight into a spin. It ticks rapidly as it spins and spins until finally landing on HAND.
The executioner laughs menacingly and saws off a hand at the wrist. Red liquid spurts out and an echoing scream comes from all around them as if there are built in speakers. It's gruesome and Janus wrinkles his nose at it. Remus chuckles when the executioner takes the dismembered hand and waves it at them.
"I gotta hand it to these guys, they really go all out," Patton says as they continue down the hall.
"Hand, ha ha," Virgil mock laughs.
Patton lights up, "Oh! Oh! That was a pun, wasn't it? I made a pun!"
"Don't pretend that wasn't intentional."
"But it wasn't, I swear! Oh my goodness!" Patton giggles beside himself, so caught up in his own unexpected pun that he misses the scary ghost lady sneaking up behind them to screech in their ears.
Janus full on shrieks. He stumbles with Patton and backs them away, cursing while Patton is still giggling. The ghost lady cackles and drifts behind a curtain, gone from sight.
Remus and Virgil are doubled over themselves, and Patton realizes they are laughing at Janus.
"Oh my god, you're such a sissy!" Remus grabs onto Virgil to keep from falling over. "I'm gonna start calling you Hissy Sissy!"
Flustered, Janus deflects, "What are you talking about? That was Patton screaming, not me."
Virgil waves his hand at Patton. "Does he look scared in the slightest?"
Patton is in fact still grinning. "I'm just really happy to be here."
Remus claps a hand on Patton's back. "Who knew our little puffball would have balls of steel?"
Patton doesn't really. He's surrounded by friends in a haunted house full of people who worked really hard on their costumes and scare tactics and set designs. These are employees and devotees of Halloween who have come together in the spirit of the season. How could Patton find any of that scary?
The things he's truly afraid of, the real scary bits...he left that behind him.
***
END NOTES
Here are some fun facts about this chapter that I simply could not find a way to work in naturally but still wanted to share.
1. Patton's first costume idea was to dress up as Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. But when Virgil offered to do his makeup, they kind of spiraled into different ideas until Patton landed on scarecrow. If Patton instead went ahead as Stitch, Janus wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face and would have thoroughly gushed about how cute Patton is and fawn over him. Patton would have been overwhelmed by the affection influx and started bawling his eyes out. Shame that didn't happen. :)
2. Janus is dressed up as Lady Dimetrescu from the horror game Resident Evil 8. It's very similar vibes to Thomas's photo shoot of Janus in a dress.
3. There's a pumpkin carving contest at the pumpkin patch. Virgil wins second place.
4. At the pumpkin patch, Janus improvises all the scary stories he's telling the children. It's mostly cautionary tales against society. He's also lowkey distraught to be at the center of attention for so many impressionable youths and keeps glancing to the others for help the entire time, but the others are like, "Eh, he's fine. Totally in his element."
5. Remus introduced Patton to magical girls anime. He started with Madoka Magica. If you don't know, it's an anime that subverts the genre and a girl gets decapitated in one of the first episodes. Patton is appalled but keeps watching because he desperately wants for there to be a happy ending.
6. At the haunted house attraction, Patton ends up leading Janus by the hand, much to Janus's embarrassment. In the background, Virgil gets jump scared so hard by an employee that he accidentally socks them in the face. In a panic, he and Remus drag their unconscious body into a random chair so it looks like the poor person is part of the set design. They quickly walk away like nothing happened. Janus sees it happen, but distracts Patton so he's none the wiser.
7. They all go to waffle house afterwards for dinner. Remus takes pictures with a bunch of people who think he makes a great Deadpool. Virgil chugs down an entire milkshake on a dare. He regrets it later. Patton makes a smiley face out of his waffle pieces and bacon. Nobody comments on it, but it's really precious. Patton does it because he's remembering the pumpkin carving fondly.
8. Finally, they all go back to the lair, pile on the couch, and watch TV while binge-eating tons of candy. They shove piles of candy at Patton just to see him go wide eyed. When Patton protests, Virgil empties a whole bag by pouring it on him. They end up watching scary movies and save Ru Paul's for another day. When they do eventually get Patton to watch Ru Paul's, it is a very enlightening experience for him.
9. Patton passes out during the movie marathon. It's the first time that he spends the night outside of his apartment, and that boy is conked the fuck out in a sugar crash. Remus challenges himself to roll Patton up in a blanket burrito. Patton never wakes up, even when Remus picks his cocooned form up, holds him to his chest, and starts doing his best impression of Golem, "My precioussss."
10. And if you made it this far, you get to find out that while Remus is busy swaddling the baby, Janus and Virgil have a cryptic conversation about their boss. Patton never asked them why they broke into his apartment, but it doesn't matter. It's a waiting game, and they fear whether Patton will come out intact when the other shoe drops.

Violent. Very very violent. Lots of robo gore. Do not read if you are squeamish.
Blue Moon shook his head as he was fumbled into a new universe. Growling softly at the discomfort it caused. Simply assess his surroundings. He was in... a jail cell? He looked around briefly at the bars. They shimmered with a magic spell. Something easily broken. Gazing down the bars until he hit another figure. He stared briefly at them. What was that a lunar of some kind?
A growl behind him cut off his line of thought. Turning around with the larger growl only to pause. In front of him stood what he could only guess was a blood moon. It was about the size of his brother. His head meeting the lower part of his chest. Their hands were cuffed. A strange mark on one of his hands. The blood moons alert position though masked its predicament. Briefly looking behind him proved that the lunar in the other cell had a similar looking cuffs and mark. But the blood moon growled as soon as he eyed his cellmate.
Who are you?
The blood Moon merely hissed. A simple curiosity waned by caution. Blue Moon straightened. His rays brushing the roof of the cell. At least he fit. He bounced slightly in order to hopefully loosen the mood.
Who am I? I am you. And them too.
He briefly pointed to the lunar across the room.
But do not worry. I have no riddle to rhyme. Except for the name Blue Moon. That one is mine.
The words flowed easily out of his mouth. The cheer-ish feeling to them seeming the calm the blood Moon in front of him.
You talk like I once did. Blue Moon... How did you get here. Where is your way in.
The blood moon in front of him seemed to get antsy. Apparently escaping the way he came in was a top priority. But given the placement they were he couldn't expect anymore. But unfortunately for the blood moon the way he came in wasn't even an exit for himself.
Sorry crimson eyes. The rules do not bend for me. And neither will they bend for you. But while I'm stuck here in this gloom. Perhaps I can show you a way out of this room.
The blood moons face scrunched with disappointment but it seems to relax at the mention of another exit. But Blue Moon had the wonder why was he in a cage in the first place? And the lunar on the other side of the room too. They both had cuffs on their hands. And the bars and cuffs we're both enchanted slightly. Whoever put them in here wanted them to stay in. But it was clear by the damage on their bodies that whoever had them here was also having their fun.
So you can get us out! Can you do it now! The guard comes-
The blood moon was cut off by foot steps up the hallway that led to the jail cells. The blood Moon quickly panicked. Motioning for the overly large bot to come to him. Blue Moon started taking some steps before freezing. There were no hiding places in the cell. Did the blood Moon think he could hide him behind them? Blue Moon's face scrunched in confusion at the thought. Giving the panicking blood moon questioning stare. But before he could contemplate it much further he heard a gasp behind him.
He turned around and looked down at the bot that had arrived. He recognized this one. Solar. A soft smile stretched across his face. Solar had been an interesting first encounter. He had near killed the bot when he first spawned into their universe. Teleporting to the one that was closest to name to him. The second time he met him was when he had TF lunar with him. Where are the mistake he had made and was quickly rectified. But as he looked upon his old friends angry expression. He realized something was wrong.
Shimmering reflection! Old friends. Sorry sorry that we must meet again. Why the long face old friend?
Blue Moon stared into the colorful bots eyes. Hoping for recognition. He found none.
I don't know who you are. And I don't care how you got in there. But you better start explaining yourself.
Solar growled at him. A spear raised at the bars. He faltered slightly. Sure they weren't great friends but he had thought they were passed suspiciousness. Although given the fact he didn't know who he was was a worrisome. He looked back at the blood moon. Whose name he still hadn't gotten. The blood moon sat there, anger and fear in his posture. They were scared of solar? He made a motion towards solar with a shrug. The blood moon seemed the falter himself. Clearly off guard by Blue Moon's nonchalant examination of the situation.
Well!?
Blue Moon looks briefly back at his friend. Tilting his head slightly as his rays rattled. Before waving a hand in air and activating a bunch of runes. The magic in the cell tried to falter him. But he only used it his advantage to enact the spell further. Runes also appeared around solar. The bot jumping in surprise. But before he could Swat them away Blue Moon got the full just of the situation. Brainwashing.
Blue Moon growled. Anger bubbling up as his rays retracted in place. His blue pupil shifting quickly into the pentagram that showed his red moon's programming.
You do not know me. But I know you. I will stand my ground against the demon fool.
With a growl he stepped forward briefly running on all fours before he reached the end of the cell. Solar jumps slightly. Clearly off guard by the quickened pace. Blue Moon grabs the bars of the cell. Runes erupting out on his ribbons and arms and some around the bars themselves. Before solar could even give him a half heartened threat he pushed with all his might and the bars snapped.
The magic shattering under the strain of the runes and his own strength. Solar quickly tried to attack him. To put them in back in the broken cell he wasn't sure. But with a quick thought runes stop solars movements in an instant. Carefully shackled by magic in what was clearly a pose of a stab. Solar growled before mumbling at the surprise. Solar gave him a face that nearly made him falter. Before a clawed hand simply raised itself up before shoving it to the ground.
Sit.
Solar could do nothing as he was shackled into a position on the ground much like a dog sitting. Clearly trying to get out of the restraints but having no power to do so. Blue Moon looked back at the cell. Stuttering slightly at the loss of the blood moon before he saw that it was clearly trying to break the latch on the other cell for the lunar. Blue moon simply turned around to the part of the bars that was nearest to him. Using his runes again to snap the bars off.
Both the blood Moon and the lunar simply stared at him in surprise. Before the lunar quickly jogged over and escaped through the hole he had made.
Thank you. thank you thank you thank you. thank you so much. I heard your name but you don't know ours. I'm lunar and that's crimson.
Blue Moon looks at the both of them. Happy to finally know their names. He cleared his throat slightly and knowing he had nothing to stop the way their names would come out.
Hello to you soft glow and maroon sight. I hope you don't mind if I use a name more of my kind?
He smiled briefly. Quickly turning into a soft frown as lunar and crimson seems a question his nicknames. But before they can ask too much solar shouted out.
Eclipse the prisoners are escaping! Somebody get down here and help!
Crimson growled still shackled by chains that kept his hands to itself. Blue Moon quickly looked over, shining off his claws before slicing the chains in half with a simple swipe. Both the lunar and blood Moon were clearly stunned. But they barely had time to assess the situation before more footsteps sounded themselves.
This place is a mystery to me. So claw and foot is shall be.
Without much warning he scooped up lunar onto his back before nodding at crimson to follow behind him. He really would prefer if they led. But he didn't really have the time to ask for that. Solar yelled after them as he and crimson ran out. Blue moon preferring his bipedal stance for the run. They made it halfway up before he encountered.. Freddy??? He didn't have much time to contemplate the thought that a false light would keep the rest of the animatronics alive as he barreled past. Soon he found the balcony and he was off like a rocket. lunar above him crying out for him to stop while crimson only yelled in fear.
He ran out into the open air. The lunar clutching his frill with a ferocity that it might rip. They free falled only for a second before Blue Moon summoned his stepping stone runes underneath him. Running out slightly before stopping to make sure that crimson could follow. Crimson stared at the steps as if he had never seen magic before. But a guard running up behind him quickly stopped his questioning and he stepped on the runes. Blue Moon making sure they disappeared behind him so the guards could not follow.
The two of them stepped out into the air more so that the spears could not hit their marks. Blue Moon stopping to catch his breath slightly after such an escape. Only having so much time to contemplate their freedom slightly before the electric collars that he had failed to see around crimson and lunar's necks activated. Both of them screaming out in surprised pain making blue moon flinch. Runes briefly disappearing before he quickly caught himself. Quickly casting the rune underneath crimson to grow larger so that the bot could collapse in agony without falling.
A deafening laugh brought his eyes upward. Above them on a another balcony was the false light. Eclipse. Blue Moon growled. Eyeing the remote that he held in his hand that was causing his companions pain. Blue Moon stiffened. Taking lunar off his back and placing him on the same rune crimson was sitting on. Standing up with this claws outstretched. In front of them. Casting a small barrier around the two.
Well look it's the ribbon devil. Back for round two.
Blue Moon growled. Remembering his first encounter. After he had just found out that solar wasn't that world's Eclipse he had went out hunting. Almost killed the thing before the cube sent him back home. Back then it was weak. But now he could guess it had the star. And it would be much stronger.
False light your ending is near. Fall down gently and I might devour you quicker than you can hear.
The two only stared at each other for a second.
Within a flash the false light dashed forward. Blue Moon following suit. They both collided with a fury. Blue Moon quickly tried to go for killing blow. But having fought this Eclipse before it quickly dodged. Eclipse's clawed hands coming to grab his jaw. His jaw stuck and his hands colliding with the others Blue Moon summoned a rune on his shoulder. Eclipse only glanced at it for a second before it released it's power. Eclipse quickly flew off of him holding up an hand to his injured face. Caressing the now smoldering mark.
Blue Moon didn't offer him a chance to assess his injury before he was behind him. Snapping his jaws forward. But this time when the eclipse tried to grab him he quickly readjusted. Jaws snapping down at the hand. Eclipse let out a startled yell turning around to try and pry his hand out of the much taller bots grasp. Blue Moon only sneered. Spinning his head around quickly as the Eclipse could only watch as he ripped off his hand and arm like an alligator would.
Quickly another hand came up this slash at the offending face. Blue Moon stopping the rotation to grimace in pain. Eclipse quickly separated himself from his attacker. Looking briefly at the torn off hand before looking up at Blue Moon. Blue Moon only sneered adjusting the hand in his mouth as he ate the appendage. Nano machines is mouth quickly making work of it to give him access energy. Eclipse only stared in shock before quickly summoning his spear and going back into the fray.
Blue Moon prepared a runic shield as the spear clashes into him. Licking his lips in a taunt through the magical rune. Serving only to fester the false light more. Eclipse tried to adjust his position but Blue Moon anticipated the move and a rune that had already been summoned quickly revealed itself. Eclipse only having seconds for his eyes so widen before the rune quickly blasted off. Eclipse screamed as the spear clattered into the vast space below them. Blue Moon had just shot off his arm.
Eclipse launched himself back off of his attacker. Quickly readjusting to the situation. Blue Moon was stronger than he had anticipated.
Deciding to pull all the shots Eclipse summoned his star. Blue Moon tenses with anticipation but he only had seconds before the star blasted off a beam towards him. Eclipse smiled as his attacker seemed to vanish. Looking around the space before his eyes fell on crimson and lunar. They were still being held up by a rune. A gutteral growl was heard behind him.
What a welcoming well of energy. Oh how quickly you shall be feld by your enemy.
Without much warning Blue Moon chopped down on his faceplate. Eclipse's remaining arms stretching out to try and claw off the invader. Blue Moon simply growled and chopped down tighter. His clawed feet and hands gripping into Eclipse. Leaving no room for escape. Eclipse only called upon the stars power. Blasting Blue Moon off with a ring of energy. Blue Moon fumbled in the air before he caught himself. Growling before summoning another teleportation rune to try and disorient his attacker.
Eclipse was having none of it and he quickly snuffed out the rune. Causing Blue Moon to screech in terror as the rune fizzled out mid jump. Causing the lower half of his body to be caressed in magic burns. Blue Moon turned to snarl only to gasp as another beam of energy soared towards his direction. Blue Moon quickly dodged only the panic slightly as the beam didn't disappear. It's simply seemed to continue following him. Nipping at his heels as he ran through the air.
Eclipse laughed at his attackers pathetic display. Quickly summoning another beam of energy to follow him from the other side. Soon eclipse had four beams following him. Sometimes veering off to try and catch him off guard only to miss with a quick dodge. But Blue Moon was getting tired. As much as the energy of the star provided enough for him to keep casting runes his own stamina was another thing. Shit. Blue Moon quickly readjusted his plans. As much as he wanted to kill the false light he definitely could not do it now.
Blue Moon ran towards the runic platform he had somehow kept up that crimson and lunar were on. The two's eyes widening as Blue Moon seem to charge towards them. Perhaps out of fear that the beams would hit them also. But Blue Moon quickly flipped his ribbon tails as he got close. The two of them flying through the air on the rune as it was tossed in a random direction away from the castle.
Briefly hearing eclipses growl of disappointment before he used the temporary distraction to summon his best spell in a desperate attempt. the three large runes summoned out behind him. Others of different elements joining the fray. The eclipse only had a second to look back before the runes shot off. The power expanding out in a large radius towards the false light.
Eclipse only had a millisecond to summon the star in front of him as a shield as the power of the blast consumed him. Blue Moon breathed heavily. Tired from the constant running. Only the screech out and pain as the four beams that were following him quickly caught up. His whole body burned with the power of the strikes. Runes fizzling out as the user that summoned them went unconscious. He started to fall towards Earth below them.
But unfortunately his fall is cut short as eclipse caught him midfall with the magic of the star.
Well...huf. you were...huf. a fight..huf.
Eclipse was breathless as he held up and now limp blue moon. He briefly wondered if he should just destroy the thing. But a smile caressed on his face as he thought of something better.
Such a strong fighter. I'm sure you'll make a good head guard.
————————————————————————
Solar (shimmering reflection).
Crimson (maroon sight/crimson eyes).
BTB Lunar (soft glow).
BTB Eclipse (false light).
Blue Moon.
Wow this story went longer than I thought it would. I'll make a illustration for this later.
I wanted to show Blue Moon losing. A fight with Lord Eclipse seemed like a good idea to do this with. Plus I found it kind of interesting that BTB Eclipse might try to brainwash him. Of course nothing can stop Blue Moon's sporadic teleportation. But perhaps he could brainwash him to come back? Idk depends on how much BTB Eclipse would be able to understand of how the sporadic teleportation works.
But yeah I had a thrill writing out the fight. I wanted to show that Blue Moon definitely knows what he's doing. But when faced with the might of the star there's not much you can do.
Hopefully lunar and crimson landed safely after their rune was chucked into the great unknown.
