so I've been laisuro brainrotting so much that i spent actual money to make what i see as their apartment in imvu. In the au this is for (modern, transfemme shuro), Shuro (goes by Shuri) left his family, and lives with Laios in an apartment Senshi gave them. (Senshi runs a restaurant that the party works at, but Laios is trying to find better paying work and failing and Shuri only works on occasion since she has an autoimmune condition). NAME:        vos AGE:         23 PRONOUNS:         they/them YEARS OF WRITING:          that  definitely  depends  on  what  you  classify  as  writing  but  i  discovered  rp  as  a  concept  in  2010  which  was  probably  just  a  bit  after  i  got  into  writing  little  short  stories  and  things  as  a  kid.  i  was  writing  them  by  hand  in  a  little  notepad  that  somebody  in  my  family  handed  over  to  a  school  teacher,  extremely  mortifying  ordeal  to  me  at  the  time  lmfao

WHY DID YOU PICK UP WRITING?           i’m  pretty  sure  i  first  started  by  writing  shitty  warrior  cats  fanfics  actually,   and  i  didn’t  know  that  fics  or  fandom  in  general  was  even  a  thing  at  the  time  so  u  could  say  i  was  destined  for  this  sort  of  brainrot   fgdjkh   little  nine  year  old  me  also  encountered  rp  for  the  first  time  by  searching  for  warrior  cats  flash  games   (i guess??  idk  what  i  actually  thought  i’d  find)   and  instead  wound  up  on  some  random  webpage  with  a  chatbox.  moved  on  from  there  to  writing  awful,  horrible   (but  very  fun)   naruto  oc’s  on  a  website  that  i  think  was  called  chatango  some  years  later,   dabbled  a  little  on  imvu,   and  started  writing  on  tumblr  around  2015  iirc

DO YOU HAVE ANY WRITING ROUTINES?          i  wouldn’t  say  so?  sometimes  i’ll  listen  to  like…  instrumental  interludes  from  certain  albums  or  smth  that  i  won’t  enjoy  too  much  because  i  find  music  very  distracting,   not  just  for  writing  but  in  general,   and  sitting  in  silence  is  a  weird  feeling  to  me  too.  when  it  comes  to  other  things  i  need  a  podcast  or  video  essay  or  something  similar  to  be  at  all  productive  but  it’s  hard  to  focus  on  writing  with  someone  yapping  in  your  ear.  i  used  to  save  writing  for  nights even  when  i  have  free  time  throughout  the  day,   because  i  tend  to  feel  bad  about  sitting  at  a  computer  screen  all  day,   but  with  my  activity  in  its  current  state  i  have  to  sit  down  and  get  it  out  the  moment  inspiration  and  energy  align  themselves  for  me.    

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT WRITING?         sorry  to  steal  your  answer  but  i  def  have  to  agree  with  what  layla  said  re  the  community  aspect  of  rp  actually.  it’s  so  nice  to  be  able  to  just  click  with  someone  over  a  shared   (sometimes  niche)   interest  and  love  for  certain  medias/characters/dynamics/genres  etc.  the  feeling  of  finding  someone  who  shares  your  vision.  and  also  stemming  from  the  same  thing,   i’ve  always  felt  that  my  favorite  and  most  “solid”  muses  are  the  ones  that  i’ve  gotten  the  chance  to  develop  alongside  another  through  plotting.  love  shared  canon,  love  affiliated  oc’s,  love  group  verses.  allllll  that  good  stuff.  

THREE THINGS YOU LIKE ABOUT YOUR WRITING.         gonna  break  the  format  we’re  following  here  because  i  have  to  ramble  and  idk  how  to  break  all  this  into  three  titles,     so  obviously  being  succinct  isn’t  one  of  the  answers  here   kfdjghd

i  always  try  to  capture  a  different  flow  and  style   (???)   of  prose  depending  on  who  i’m  writing,   and  i’m  never  sure  if  that  really  comes  through  for  others  or  if  i  just  seem  inconsistent,   but  whenever  i  look  back  at  old  blogs  i  can  see  it  for  myself  and  that  at  least  keeps  me  content   :)   i  want  to  read  my  writing  back  and  feel  that  it  has  character  outside  of  just  the  spoken  dialogue.

i  like  to  spend  a  lot  of  time  with  a  piece  of  writing,   which  realistically  is  not  to  my  benefit  in  terms  of  activity,   but  i  do  just  really  enjoy  drafting  and  redrafting,   rearranging,   nitpicking  at  everything  until  it’s  as  close  to  being  what  i  want  to  be  as  i  can  get  it.  so  that’s  more  about  the  writing  process  than  the  writing  itself,   but  i  think  it’s  still  important  to  allow  myself  to  have  fun  with  it  fkjghd

pulling  a  blank  on  a  third  thing  bc  this  is  actually  a  really  difficult  question  but  i’ll  come  back  and  edit  it  later  if  something  pops  into  my  head  kfjgdh

HAVE YOU MADE ANY STRONG  CONNECTIONS  /  FRIENDS DURING YOUR TIME WRITING?          for  sure.  one  of  my  dearest  friends  in  this  world  is  not  a  writer  but  someone  who  i  met  as  a  mutual  friend  of  my  first  rp  partner.  i’m  not  really  in  touch  with  that  person  who  introduced  us  anymore  but  i  simply  couldn’t  live  without  my  bestie  and  i  consider  writing  the  only  reason  we  really  met and she gets to kinda "beta" some of the things i do write   dfkgjhd   i’ve  also  traveled  to  the  states  a  couple  of  times  in  my  teens  to  meet  a  rp  buddy  who  i’ve  known  since  i  was  around   ,,   twelve  or  so  i  believe.  

wouldn’t  be  right  not  to  shout  out  @ohchosen  here  either  because  i  was  very  close  to  leaving  tumblr   (and  also  probably  rp)   for  good  when  we  became  friends,   and  writing/plotting  tmkz  together  has  been  one  of  the  best  experiences  i’ve  ever  had  on  this  website,   where  friends  and  mutuals  tend  to  come  and  go.  you  never  did.  you’re  probs  the  funniest  person  i’ve  ever  spoken  to,   craft  the  most  beautifully  written  responses  imaginable,   you  put  a  world  of  effort  into  developing  your  muses  and  you  let  me  derail  every  single  one  of  conversations  to  talk  about  music  instead   gfjhdg   sorry  i’m  so  mean  to  you.  ily  a  lot.

there’s  also  a  handful  of  mutuals  who  i  don’t  necessarily  talk  or  interact  with  very  much  anymore  but  have  been  around  for  years  at  this  point  and  i  have  fond  memories  with  too.  always  so  so  so  glad  to  see  you  pop  up  on  the  dash,  it  makes  me  smile  every  time  so  i’ll  use  this  as  an  opportunity  to  wave  at  you, you know who you are    <3

I found out your blog just right now and scrolled through lol 🤍 and I know this is about loa, but I have a concern and I would like an advice. I like to use imvu for chill and just going through the rooms to see what is going on… the thing is that there’s nothing serious there, nothing lasts forever though what you see is just an avatar not a real person and everyone is h0rn.y there.🍃

It’s been hard for me to meet new people, real people. Lots of years ago I had my first and only “relationship” through a website and that left me with a big trauma🍃. I honestly don’t know what to do, i’ve been out but it’s hard to find people who are willing to meet you. Talk or something like that. Tumblr has been my favorite place to hide for years. But it’s been difficult to manifest new people, I haven’t seen my old friends, they’re busy, doing stuff and me too but I feel so alone 🌻. I love my family, I have fun with my sis but I just want to make friends lol…

Any advice friend? and how to manifest them 🤍 thank you in advance

ok so get rid of the assumptions of people on any apps you use (be safe, cautious, and responsible tho). also don't find it hard to meet genuine people you have a good connection with assume the opposite. flip your mindset so you believe that people are inherently good, genuine, and enjoy interacting with you

what's your favorite part about writing? it's fun! i get to write about my blorbos, whether OCs or canon characters! it makes me happy and i love making new connections and friendships!

three things you like about your writing. um. erm. yknow! i have no idea! i think i really like writing expressions characters make and their little own nuances that make them them. plus i love being able to relate to the characters i write and create meaningful relationships for them & with them! uh... i like giving them their own little quirks-- i guess that also falls into the first thing i mentioned. wow this sucks UM ASLKJFLS oh!!! i love being able to rip my friends' hearts to shreds over my emotional writing whenever we rp angst :) i think that's three things

have you ever given up on writing? nnnno i don't think so? there's been lulls where i haven't written in a while, but it wasn't necessarily a thing of me giving up, but moreso just not having the juice/drive to for a bit!

i really, really, really love writing character arcs where they step away from who they've been and learn to grow into who they are. the death of their past and birth of their present. not only that but themes revolving around family/friendships really get to me. they're so meaningful and it feels good to have characters be surrounded by the people they love, yknow?

"Pipsqueak"

A MODERN! Naruto Zombie Apocalypse AU (happy v day)

// I got motivated to write modern AU version while I was working on the IMVU model of Sakuro. Enjoy~

"Oh, You're here! I didn't notice how you came in" Sakuro got up and scratched his head sheepishly. "sorry about the mess... The recon mission got a little... heated" he bit his lip, averting his gaze from your eyes.

You look around, taking in the gruesome scene, people and zombies alike scattered about, some had bullet holes, some were missing body parts. even though you were used to the dead by now, three years had passed since the Zombie virus breakout. people screaming and dying, either from being brutally murdered by one-another or eaten alive by the zombies left and right, you still had the urge to vomit from the stench of the rotting flesh.

You covered you nose and mouth with your hand, brows furrowed from disgust.

The man in front of you, Sakuro Haruno, as he introduced himself earlier had been given an order from a man named "Tsubasa Senjū" to go out scavenging for food and perhaps any survivors.

And that's how you two met. It has been a week since the encounter with the pinkette and his team.

Tsubasa had paired you up with him and Ino for the past few missions, since you didn't really know anyone else, and therefore couldn't trust them. all of them were weird in their own way, you mused in your mind. Inochin Yamanaka or Ino, for short, was a tall blonde-haired male. The man was good with scouting and scavenging missions like these. he had boasted multiple times about it. He knew where to find what and always whipped out an escape plan out of the most unfathomable death or life situations. He was obsessed with his hair, therefore an extra bag was needed for conditioners he would stuff in them.

Then there was Sakuro: The man was around 6'2, taller of the two best friends by an inch or two. His skin, unlike the blonde male, was covered with small scars and big gashes from the three years of hell they had been living in and some from his time in the army, his frame was bulkier than Ino's but also lean-ish. He was an ex-military, served five years, and was a combat medic, a very useful and valuable position in their current state. Unlike Ino-kun, Sakuro prided himself on his monstrous strength and medical knowledge, inheriting his combat style from his sensei Tsunade and his non-official sensei during his boxing and wrestling time, Ashura He was an apprentice of their current group leader, Tsunade, an ex-veteran, of two great wars. you later found out that the two had met during his service with Tsunade as his superior and Sakuro helped open a hospital in their old town village after his service. They trained many medics in their wake. Those very medics and comrades would soon fall into the misfortune of the current world. Aside from Tsunade, he had no biological family. His parents passed away during the first days of the walker attacks, being the "easy prey of the food chain". That, you two had in common. Your own parents and sister died in the crossfire of guns and Zombies.

Over the short period of time of hanging around with him, he slowly opened up to you and even managed to teach you how to use various types of weapons, like hunting knives, shuriken, and kunai, which was awesome, senbon and guns. He preferred hand pistols, hunting knives, and fists though. It was basic-level self-defense but it was good enough so you wouldn't die from some unfortunate encounter with a walker or a man and hold back the team.

Over the week, you managed to grow fond of him, but one thing that never ceased to both awe you and frighten you at the same time was the man's capability to shatter bones and rip bodies, shoot them down with an accuracy only an ex-fighter would have and still manage come out uninjured and almost, comically squeaky clean from the close-combat fights.

Shaking your head you came back to reality. "come on, Sakruo. this is not the time to be fooling about. The amount of noise your havoc has made will surely draw more walkers our way. me and Ino-san managed to scavenge a decent amount from this warehouse. Time to go."

The pink-haired male looked down at you, standing tall over 6'2. "Yeah, sure. let's go pipsqueak." he ruffled your hair.

You growled at him, swatting his hand away "Hey! stop calling me that!"

He chuckled and headed for the door. "Sure, pipsqueak. I'll stop calling you pipsqueak when you grow an inch or two taller, But I guess that won't be happening anytime soon now, will it?" he teased, making you even more flustered and angry.

infuriated by his remark, you ran after him "Hey, wait up, damn it!! i ought to teach you a lesson!!!" you yelled after him with your fist up in the air, promising a good beatdown.

As soon as you stepped out of the warehouse, throwing angry cusses Sakuro's way, distantly you heard a choir of groans.

A herd was coming your way.

You two looked at each other with wide eyes before both of you got in the car. Incohin started the car and drove away into the sunset.

Another successful day of the game "Try not to get your head bitten off by dead meat and bones".

Is second life like VR Chat or IMVU?

Kind of yeah, though they all have their differences. I have not played IMVU so i'm not sure what the crowd is like on there, just seen reels of people doing their rp families. I've watched my friends play VR chat and it's a different demographic from Second life. A lot more kids screaming on VR chat. Second life is for an older audience, since most of the worlds there are sex related. So most people we come across are older. It's a big learning curve to get into SL at first, but I've been playing for 5 years at this point so i'm kinda used to it. It's mostly fun because you can customize your avatar a lot more than I think you can in VR chat or IMVU
