KP X DFF AU (Takes place around events of ep 7 DFF and end of Kinnporsche)

(inspired by I re-watched ep6 of DFF and somehow missed that they sing TSICY on their way to Pors house on my first watch)

Somehow Non and Chay run into each other and they look identical. Chay, wanting to have some time away from the mafia he's become apart of, comes up with the idea after hearing Nons story to switch places. Non is reluctant at first but when Chay promises he can help solve Nons problems he agrees (Non doesn't fully trust Chay and leaves out some details like Mr Keng and Phee).

Chay has a Theerapanyakul mafia ring that he uses when the mafia guys come after him to get them to leave him alone, he also has access to mafia money that he tries to use to help Nons family as much as he can without causing suspicion. Chay is disgusted by how Nons 'friends’ treat him but Non had said he wanted to finish his movie so Chay plays along with them for now.

And Then whatever happens causing Non to disappear happens to Chay instead.

Non was told by Chay that if he went to the compound he’d be able to just walk in, he’s nervous but he does and when he’s engulfed in a hug by a stranger he feels a little better. He recognizes the man from a photo Chay had shown him, Porsche, who was worried because Chay disappeared and lost his bodyguards for a few hours.

Chay had told Non that he wasn’t speaking to his brother or anyone else really so if he did nothing but stay in Chays room the whole time he’d be fine and no one would question or really bother him.

Then Non gets a knock on his door, it’s Kim, he was trying to apologize to Chay about his song being stolen and that it wasn't him that released it and he didn’t mean for it to happen.

(Someone on Kims team finds a demo Kim made of Chays song (tsicy) when he was helping Chay record it, and releases it under Wiks name without Kim’s consent. Because Kim hasn’t released any new music since his break up with Chay and his company wants new music from him.)

Non feels bad about how distraught Kim sounds, and lets him in. Kim hadn’t expected for Chay to actually let him in, it’s been a month since Kim had been this close to Chay and so the first thing he does on impulse is hugs him. Non, currently still processing the worst week of his life, doesn’t push Kim away causing Kim to kiss him.

Anyway Kim somehow finds out that it wasn’t Chay who forgave him and that Non isn't Chay and demands Non tell him where Chay actually is and when they show back up everyone is confused (because they killed him like 3 weeks ago or something) and is like WTF?! But when Non just acts like nothing happened they don’t bring it up, and so now Non and Kim have to figure out what happened to Chay.

On Jul 24 Mile shared a pic of himself in a Ralph Lauren green jacket, giving us a glorious back view:

The next day, Apo visited iQiyi's office, then left China for Bangkok. He was wearing a green Ralph Lauren shirt:

It reminded a lot of fans of the green shirt Apo was given as a gift by a fan, and which Mile wore to a concert, which begs the question, if Apo does love this style, why did he not wear that gift himself in the first place? Passing it on with the explanation of "it would fit him better than me" doesn't seem to apply here.

Mile's mom liked a pic of Apo on the IG page of Mos (BOC's make-up artist). I adore it when Mile's family shows support for something that is specifically about Apo rather than a Mileapo pic/post/banner, 'coz then people can't dismiss it as support for Mile that just so happens to also include Apo as his co-star.

During an entire week in Belgium, Mile only posted his (normally daily) GN message twice: once when he went on his like spree on Apo's posts on Weibo, and the other time was last night, after Apo returned to Thailand safely. In fact, yesterday Mile even added the words "miss miss" to his GN with a green heart emoji. No prizes for you if you guess who Mile is missing.

Perhaps someone who was himself up at 4 in the morning Bangkok time (despite the time different between Thailand and Shang Hai only being one hour), liking and commenting on Mile's post...

And lastly, somehow they managed to dress very similarly on several days, not just one, for example today they were both wearing blue, even though it's not a color they commonly wear. Here's Mile in Paris:

The image prompt from this @kpquickndirty week #1 post has been slowly rotating at the back of my mind since then and tonight the stars finally aligned for me to get the words on the page.

So, have some KinnPorsche:

Kinn stops to look at the beach and the lone palm tree bending over it as if trying to reach the sea.

Someone has hanged a swing on its trunk. It is currently occupied by two people, sitting tangled up together so close it's hard to see which limb belongs to whom.

Kinn smiles. So this is where his little brother went and hid. Good for him. But Kinn is not here for him so he turns away and leaves the two to their solitude.

As he walks away, he can't help but wonder if he, too, will get to sit tangled up with someone in the swing of the palm tree that reached for the sea.

He makes his way to a small building a little further down the beach. It's bigger than he thought it would be but he supposes it makes sense when taking into account the couple he just left behind.

As he reaches the wooden step, he sees a board hung on one of the posts holding up the terrace roof. It simply reads "Menu of the Day" in blocky letters at the top with a slightly smudged, scribbled "grilled fish" beneath it. He can't help the way his lips stretch into an even bigger smile.

Going up the couple of steps and then into the building does nothing to dim his smile. His heart is hammering in his chest and Kinn doesn't think he's been this anxious since… Since the last time he saw the person whose back is turned to him, puttering around behind the bar.

"We're closed," the person says without turning around. "Come back in a few hours."

"Porsche," he exhales softly. But loudly enough to be heard because the man freezes then turns around so fast Kinn worries he'll hurt himself.

"Kinn…" Porsche's eyes are wide as he looks at him and Kinn smiles, cheeks straining from how much smiling he's done since he stepped foot on this small beach on this small island with almost no tourism to speak of and just enough locals to sustain the small bar whose owner is currently looking at him with trepidation in his eyes.

Kinn moves forward, reaching for Porsche the way the tree reached for the sea only to be denied too when Porsche takes a step backward in tandem with him.

"Are you here to bring me back there?" He asks as he puts down the glass he'd been holding. "How did you find me?"

"No. I always knew where you went Porsche, and I made sure no one else would. Although it seems my little brother outsmarted me and found you anyway."

"Then why are you here?" Porsche is trembling, Kinn notices and longs to reach out and soothe him. But Porsche is keeping himself away from him and Kinn will have to content himself with watching and wishing.

"Because I missed you. Because I buried my father a few months ago and the business is finally stable enough for me to get away. Because I…" The words stick in his throat. He clears it and tries again. "Because I love you and I was hoping I still have a chance?" He ends the last one like a question. Not because he isn't sure that he wants this chance with Porsche but rather because he's unsure of Porsche's response.

"We're free?" Porsche says. "Korn is really dead?" And then, before Kinn can answer him, he adds, "You love me?"

"Yes," Kinn says simply because that answers all three of Porsche's questions and he's not sure what else to say.

Then, he gets to watch Porsche break into a big smile and, finally—finally—reach back for him. Well, Porsche actually jumps over the bar and into Kinn's arms but Kinn certainly isn't complaining.

And then Kinn isn't doing much of anything because Porsche is kissing him and Kinn's thought process grinds to a halt and it's all he can do to gather enough wits to kiss back.

(For the first time since his mother died, he feels like he's finally home.)

With (as of right now) 513 posts from 160+ people clicking through the doc became a bit of a hassle, so I figured a blog that contains all the posts a: would be a nicer way to search and view things for some people and b: could come really in handy in case of broken links. The blog doesn’t quite contain every post from the doc yet with around 100 missing (postlimit got me), but the queue should fill the remaining gaps in the next few days. (Also the tag page is still iffy on mobile, working on it!)

Now, tagging every single person who has a post in the doc would probably break tumblr (I do have the list though in a handy excel table if anyone wants a whole bunch of fun blogs to follow), but I need to give a special thanks & shout out to @moerusai @yeetlegay @snake-and-mouse @rythyme @onstoryladders @biochemjess @blessyouhawkeye @daltoneering for their super valuable and well-filled tags/blogs that managed to actually lead me to the bulk of these posts. Y’all probably saw me do some weird shit in your activity over the weekend, sorry! And above all major thanks to @luckydragon10 for allowing me to basically copy-paste her structure from the meta doc & @iffervescent for inspiring most of the meme categories with the brilliant KP Fandom Primer. Also shoutout to @poemsforpersephone for letting me pester her with updates while recovering from Covid, you’re the real MVP and I will continue to pay you with KimChay memes. Thoughts (since I don't write on Tumblr often

I've been following Jeff's career since like...mid-Kinnporsche airing, I don't remember exactly when but like he had the first 3 songs from his new chapter phase. And honestly, I'm really proud of the guy, like from the cutesy songs he started with to working on a well-defined style and universe, to his now international stardom...Congrats!!

I'm also wondering about the album since he said there was 12 songs, (and we're missing single 9) and Stranger might be released inside the album but there's at least 1-2 new songs. He basically gave himself the opportunity to promote for a long-ass time with all these MVs (and thanks the sponsorships+the money he made for this clip budget) but that also means very little new songs. Like for album 2, is it going to be a mini-album? Or a normal-sized one? Is he going to go the one MV one song way again?

I don't know how thaï music industry works but it's going to be interesting. I hope there's Covid precautions in place at his concerts because I would hate for him to have his career shortened that way. Like fans, please wear masks. I wanna hear the high notes, and he's basically set himself up by having one high note per song (no, you don't need it Jeff) and that makes it hard to not to have public, embarassing false notes (is it how you say it in English? I'm French btw)

The studio posting in advance the Cartier Paris event schedule is funny, I've visited the museum and it's absolutely a visit during opening hours on a normal opening day. They probably privatized it with lots of money, but if they don't it's gonna be funny to see random art students going "who's that guy/why is there so many celebs??"(Paris museums are either closed on Monday or Tuesday, depending if they're state museums or city museums)

He's made quite a lot of connections last year, going from the first partnerships (the cat food one was mandatory) to high-end partnerships with luxury brands. I would love to know what made him choose these ones and reject the others but we will never know what has he been offered.

Also, Chuang! Except for one of the mentors I didn't know, it feels weird to see people I've seen being rookies listening to seniors becoming the judges of today, when the judges used to be people who weren't known celebrities to the idol fan watcher. Now my idols are another idol's idol! Like I'm going to watch a show (on and off because I'm busy) because of the judges and not the contestants! In terms of the competition, I wonder how they're going to be promoted, especially since it's a girl group. Like, when Produce/Chuang was created, it looked unrealistic, and here we are! I think the girls version of the show tends to be the first, and idol girls seem less "guaranted success" than the nth boygroup. Idk about thai music industry again, so idk how idols survive, because the only idol girls I kow in Thaïland are Sizzy from GMM..We'll see, but I hope the show fulfills its role of career launcher without scandals or evil editing.

Back to the actual topic, seeing the Jeff pyjama pic for the show's filming is making me wonder if he's going to be styled in Valention the whole time. If it's the case, we could literaly have a guessing party before the episode teasers, though he's a wild card since he picks women's clothes too. Please show, make him wear a skirt! A pantaskirt?

Also, his haircut, an actual discussion topic (but kpop idols announce comebacks by hair colour, so why not?) is making him look like he's somewhere between 18-22. Like it's only when he styles it back that it doesn't give him too much of a baby face. For his movie, I think they're filming backwards or not in order in terms of time period, because I don't think they're going to do bald cap if he needs to have no hair. We might get short military-like (I hope he doesn't keep it, I love the long hair). But also, is it me or he's started working out the Dorito back way? Like, he's got more arm and shoulder muscles than without workout, but last singing appearance he really looked "guy who works out to have a triangular back" and that may be movie-related as well? Again and again, idk.

I don't really write about stuff a lot, the thoughts often stay in my head, but yeah, here they are!

For his next career moves, I'm mostly curious about how much space he's going to give to acting or being in reality shows, since he's a singer first. I think Wuju is going to be his last work with Barcode as a partner, but I'm curious about where he's going to be casted if he does series again, like he has more options than just the BOC productions (unlike Barcode) and he may become a "pass-around, no fixed ship actor. But we're making plans on a comet now, and I really should go back to working, so bye for now!

I spent a glorious few hours reading some really good BL fic that I stumbled upon completely by accident, some of it a few years old.

Things I've read and loved recently, in no order.

bodies running on a dream Dan/Yok (Not Me), explicit, 2,900 words bittersweet post-series fic that's really freaking hot and also kind of sad.

made to your measure Earth/Mix, explicit, 2,500 words super sexy porn set during safe house with a slutty, desperate Mix (seriously the characterization is fucking hot af) and a long-suffering Earth. Delightful and hot.

let's make a move Jeff/Barcode, teen & up, 800 words someone else beside me has written Jeff/Barcode! A very sweet first kiss, Jeff calming a nervous Barcode.

pin me to your wall First/Khaotung, explicit, 15k words Well this was fucking delightful. Tay takes sexy boudoir photos of Khaotung and First has a full on panic about it. Super sexy and funny with delightful cameos by Earth, Mix, Neo and others.

Come on, get up Kim/Porchay (KinnPorsche), teen & up, 5,700 words This one has tons of kudos/comments so I imagine you've read this if you're into the pairing, but I have read very little of anything and this was a joy to discover. Kim gets kidnapped and Porchay helps save the day while still being a pissed off teenager. Super well-written and great characterization.

the kind of superstar that would only steal your heart Kim/Porchay (KinnPorsche), teen & up, 11k words Another I imagine most people have read. I liked the way this writer writes Porchay. I am SUPER picky about this pairing and this felt very true to how I see the characters. Another really good Porchay voice as well.

Sugar On My Street Neo/Shin/Miw (3 Will Be Free), mature, 7k words There is not enough 3 Will Be Free OT3 fic and I am so glad I found this. This is quietly and super sexy and focuses on the three of them working out how to be together.

we come as a pair Ai Di + Bai Zongyi (Kiseki: Dear to Me), not rated, 4k words I have not stopped thinking about this since I read it (note to self, leave a comment dummy). Short vignettes of Ai Di and Bai Zongyi's friendship/the way they look out for each other during and post prison life. So many sweet moments and a beautiful dynamic.
