hi I do dearly adore them and sometimes I think I’ll never shut up about them so thank you for the ask! 🫶🏼

Nievan was locked in a tower for 70ish years (it’s a long story) and had barely any physical contact during that time. It’s early in he and Astarion’s relationship that he realizes he’s absolutely starved for touch — while at the same time, Astarion’s figuring out his own relationship with physical touch. I like to think they learn how cuddling works together (and at first it’s super awkward, but then something clicks and suddenly they can’t get enough of it).

So at some point the entire party realizes they’re always touching — whether it be their shoulders pressed together, gentle touches to the shoulders and arms, a hand on the hip or waist, a gentle tucking of hair behind an ear, constant little kisses to the forehead and nose and cheek (when they think no one is looking), and of course

Hugs.

One of my coworkers is awful

He’s absolutely absurd and frustrating. He won’t stop trying to talk to us while we’re working and he’s creepy. So far (in the 3 weeks I’ve worked there) he has:

- Told me he wanted to cut my hair off and put it on his own head, twice (and then said it was a joke when I confronted him about it)

- Told me about all the guns he’s stockpiling for the apocalypse (not creepy on its own but with the way he behaves it does become a red flag)

- Threatened to fight several other coworkers, several of which are 17

- Told me and 4 other coworkers that “we’re messed up because we came from broken homes with messed up parents”

- Nagged me to do shit when I was busy, and when I told him I was busy, he told me I was not busy

- Complained when one of our shift managers was telling him to do several things

- Gotten mad when I couldn’t hear him

- Accused me of being indimiated of him because he’s black (he’s at least 6’ and I’m 5’6”. I also wasn’t intimidated by him until the hair thing)

- Started giving me a long random lecture when I suggested we not waste food

- Scared one of my coworkers so bad she hid behind a trash can and then had to go home early (her brother came into the store later)

- Says shit completely seriously and then calls it a joke, and gets upset and says we have no sense of humor when we complain about the “joke”

- Talked about how “we’re gonna find out everyone’s true colors” when Trump builds his wall and “all the 17, 18, 19yr olds get sent off to war,” twice (positively)

- Constantly tried talking to me (and other coworkers) when I was focusing on something else and gotten mad when I instructed him to not interrupt me

- Asked one of my coworkers (19) out for drinks multiple times (we’re in the US, she can’t drink)

Half of these things were just today, and several of them have occured more than once

Nievan likes to sleep as close as physically possible and also produces heat like he’s the sun itself (a perk of being half sun elf in my head). It took Astarion a while to get used to it, but I think eventually it got to a point he made it his personal mission to press himself as close as possible and refuse to disentangle himself. So Niev usually sleeps with Astarion’s cold ass nose pressed into his neck and come morning Astarion’s whole body has been warmed through, no blood drinking needed :>

bonus: after Fern was born, they had to make some room because she really likes to kick in her sleep
