how mbti types procrastinate

entp, enfp, intp, infp: considers possibilities of what to do instead of said task. starts typing but gets distracted when trying to choose a song to listen to. probably scrolls through tiktok. thinks that said task is too overwhelming. can't schedule an appointment on the phone by themself.

intj, infj, enfj, entj : plans out everything, but doesn't actually do it. wayyy too perfectionistic. has a bunch of pinterest boards (or playlists) related to said thing. not inspired. not enough pressure. "scheduled procrastination."

estp, esfp, istp, isfp: thinks the task is stupid and boring, and there are more fun/interesting things to do. also thinks that they have enough time to get it done but actually only has 2 hours. doesn't narrow down priorities. probably forget it existed in the first place

isfj, istj, estj, esfj: associates task with bad past experiences and avoids it. thinks it's not important + a waste of time compared to other things. keeps getting stuck on minor criticisms or flaws. doesn't put said thing on their to-do list (not in sight, not in mind!)

The Bane of my Existence as a INFP

I have no problem in being creative, it's as easy as breathing. I can have a plethora of ideas, thoughts, creativity, insipiration, and imagination. My brain is an endless suply of connections and projects. I can have a perfect vision of a project I wish to create. I can have a perfectly written esay, book or novel in my mind, and yet...

I don't do any of it. I imagine myself doing it and feeling the satisfaction, but I just don't it. That's the bane of my existence. I don't really know why. Am I too lazy? My heart is not really on it? Am I afraid of not being perfect? Is it self doubt? Impostor syndrome? Am I afraid of being criticized? Is there a barrier between my mind and actions? Why am I blocked like that? It's tragic because I could do so much for myself and others, but I feel so paralyzed. I guess that's the obstacule INFP's have to face and fight. After all inferior Te is the bane of our existence, our weakness. The function we need to integrate to be complete. But it's a struggle.

You'll notice a lot of the categories will have repeated signs. That's because they're similar.

+ there will be a little more info on INFJs in this one because I am an INFJ, so I'm speaking from experience. 😂 It's nothing personal.

This part contains the Diplomats.

These are my depictions based on my own opinion and experience. If these don't apply to you, that's okay! It's all about interpretation. If you disagree, I'd love to hear why. I'd also love to hear other placements you all associate with each. 😄

Diplomats

INFJ - The Advocate 🌙

Introverted | Intuitive | Feeling | Judging

I don't know if anyone's seen the tik tok where they talk about the "INFJ Door Slam," but all INFJs can reach a point where they can turn off their emotions and exit stage left in people's lives. This is usually prompted by some sort of event that violated their boundaries. Though I talk about the compassion and empathy of these placements, they're also all capable of going cold and mirroring a person's energy back to them. I thought that was important to note. This also applies to ENFJs.

🌕 All Pisces/12th House Placements: They make decisions based on emotion, therefore they are always in tune with their intuition. They're compassionate and want to give love to everyone around them (unless they do them wrong). They're known for wearing their heart on their sleeve while also keeping their emotions inward (usually). They're introspective and can evaluate a situation really well. They're super creative, always finding some sort of artistic medium to express themselves. They're introverts and don't mind spending time alone.

🌕 Scorpio Sun | Moon | Saturn | Rising: They're very intuitive and introverted. They are quite creative and are a good judge of character. If complex had a middle name, it would be Scorpio. They're also unique, loyal, supportive, and honest.

I originally wasn't going to put Scorpio on here because I felt that Scorpio's didn't outwardly express their emotion (but fit every other marker for an INFJ), but then I remembered that they have big hearts that can bleed empathy outwardly in certain moments. I also felt that they were more of the analyst category because of their detective like tendencies. (Although, many people associate Scorpio with INFJ, but I couldn't make it make sense in my brain for a hot minute)

However, Scorpios will wear a stone cold expression while stopping and saving a kitten from the side of the road, while also calling their boss and complaining about the fact that they're going to be late for work because they had to stop (but they never could've driven past the kitten and left it). Then they'd use their PTO to take the kitten to the vet and show it so much affection, while pretending they hate it in front of their partner. (Oddly specific, I know. But I know a Scorpio whose an INFJ and it's so pure lol)

Another example is that they'll push their coldness aside and wear their heart on their sleeve for a child who wants to connect with them. They'd suffer through their uncomfortable feelings of vulnerability to ensure that the child knows they care and to give them the nurturing they wish they had gotten in childhood. They'd never want the child to feel like they didn't like them.

They aren't cold hearted people. No, they bleed empathy internally. They just try to protect themselves by presenting themselves to others as cold and calculated. But those small moments? They're so wholesome and amazing to witness. And I felt like it was important to highlight.

🌕 Cancer Rising | Venus | Moon: They're warm, supportive, and communicative. They're compassionate and empathetic. They're also sensitive to criticism and can be hesitant to trust others at first. They're super nurturing, intuitive and thoughtful.

🌕 Libra Sun | Rising | Moon | Venus | Chiron: Though some may think Libra's are extroverted, they can be introverted. They gain a lot of independence because they hate to bother the people they care about. They don't want to be a burden. They're super compassionate and super empathetic. They help others because they believe it's the right thing to do.

🌕 Aquarius Venus | Moon: They understand others emotions and carry a lot of empathy. They do what's right because they're humanitarians. Their empathy guides them. Though they can be really analytical, when placed in Venus and the Moon, they're driven by emotion. They're also intuitive and great at judging situations and determining which path to take.

🌕 Sagittarius Jupiter | Pluto: They want the world to be a better place. They're honest and supportive. Look at Gen Z. They're the Pluto in Sag generation. They support each other and have a lot of empathy, while the entire generation is also simultaneously really introverted. (Not meaning the whole generation are INFJs, just that it's something likely to appear in the chart). Jupiter sees this on an individual level. They're guided by their altruism.

🌕 9th House Water Placements: Strong sense of justice. Considerate and honest about their opinions. They'd be able to tie their beliefs and principles to their empathy and compassion, which could make them more likely to act on emotion. (While also being intuitive because all water signs are really intuitive).

**Honorable mention: Virgo placements. They didn't quite make the cut because I feel like they compartmentalize their emotions and are likely to act on logic rather than emotion. But someone might have correlating placements. But I don't immediately associate them with INFJs.

INFP - The Mediator 🌎

Introverted | Intuitive | Feeling | Perceiving

🌕 Scorpio Sun | Moon | Rising | Mars: THIS is where I see Scorpio thriving. INFPs have a colder persona, they're slow to open up, and incredibly loyal. All traits of Scorpio. They're also extremely perceptive and creative. They act on perception and their intuition simultaneously.

🌕 Capricorn Moon | Saturn | Rising | Sun | Mars | Venus: They come off as calm and put together, but they're really probably anxious. They're constantly wondering if they're doing a good enough job. Not to mention, childhood trauma might have them readily scanning their environment, perceiving everything. They feel deeply, contrary to what many believe. They're definitely introverted, though they can appear extroverted if necessary. They're fiercely loyal and supportive to the people they love, and they're thoughtful when they're 100% sure about someone. They're also usually really spiritually gifted, but I think most people overlook this quality to them. Which gives them excellent intuition.

🌕 Libra Placements in 4th | 8th | 12th House: Super diplomatic, they're always mediating some sort of misunderstanding. They're intuitive and act on their feelings. They likely are more introverted. They care about peace and justice, and connect with people on a spiritual level.

🌕 Moon Conjunct Jupiter: They easily inspire others and know just what to do to diffuse conflict. They're very empathetic and they can perceive those around them quite well. They're overly optimistic and super supportive of the people around them.

🌕 Pisces in the 8th House: They'd embody all of the traits associated with INFPs while also being super perceptive. They could be more hesitant to open up and a lot more stressed. They're creative and imaginative.

🌕 Virgo in the 4th | 8th | 12th House: They're overly anxious and easily stressed. They're likely to be introverted and really perceptive. They might still be more analytical about their emotions, but they fit this category a lot better than INFJs. They're perceptive and thoughtful, and sometimes have a cold persona. In a water house, they might be more inclined to act on their emotions.

ENFJ - The Protagonist 📚

Extroverted | Intuitive | Feeling | Judging

🌕 Aquarius/11th House Placements: They're community oriented and are often really social and friendly. They consider how their actions will impact the people around them. They're always thinking of the bigger picture.

🌕 Moon-Venus Aspects: These individuals might be more inclined to avoid confrontation and have a deep desire to be well liked. They'll others before themselves and they're overly empathetic.

🌕 Libra Rising | Moon | Venus | Sun | Mars: They don't like conflict. They want to be liked and will avoid hurting others' feelings. They're empathetic, warm, thoughtful, and social. While also being really sensitive to criticism and overly idealistic, often having unrealistic expectations in relationships. It won't be sustainable unless they take care of themselves, too.

🌕 Virgo Placements Interacting With Libra Placements: Two words - People. Pleaser. They want to be perceived well. They're thoughtful and might consider how their actions will impact others. They love having a values system and are really sensitive to criticism.
