Why is mirror Kira so queer coded? Don’t get me wrong, I’m here for it, but was that something that was intentional?
It was intentional to portray Mirror Kira as Kira without the guard rails. That includes things she could definitely use, like, you know, a conscience, but it also means Mirror Kira doesn't suffer from denial, religious hang-ups, or general self-repression.
just remembered major kira and her evil clone never actually kiss on the lips due to not having the technology to show nana visitor kissing herself and also other reasons probably. we must change this
Despite being close allies, I don't think Cagalli and Lacus agree on everything. So, they make their disagreements everyone else's problem. It's relatively civil all things considering. Their meetings just tend to run a little late.
When your alternate universe counterpart wears slightly taller heels than you....
I've been itching to draw Kira with the Intendant forever and this rewatch finally motivated me.
I also just finished working on a project i can't talk about yet, but I'm very excited!
[Image ID: A digital painting of Kira Nerys and the Intendant from the mirrorverse. They are shown from the shoulders up, they are almost kissing. Kira is just a hair shorter than the Intendant and she's got her eyebrow raised, leaning back just a bit like she's hesitating. The Intendant on the other hand is smirking and leaning forward. The lighting is very dark with barely any light hitting Kira's face. There is harsh blue rim lighting. End ID]
I do think that the single most chilling thoughtless/accidental piece of timing in all of DS9 has got to be that Ziyal was conceived like, firmly within the same year as Kira Meru's (incredibly untimely and implausible) death
