What if fast food became slow food again?
Took back our time and forgot the hurry we're in?
We gathered fresh ingredients that came from the land
We savored the moment and worked with our hands
A labor of love for the ones around the table
It isn't always fancy, but we do what we're able.
So ponder this thought, and let me ask again,
What if fast food became slow food again?

Navigating life's choices: Every 'yes' spends the currency of time, a finite resource. Choose with intention, for saying 'yes' to one path often means saying 'no' to countless others. Align your actions with your greater life goals, and let time be your guide. 💫⏳

Qualities That Define a Minimalist Person
A minimalist person is someone who adopts a lifestyle that focuses on simplicity and intentionally reduces the clutter, distractions, and excess in their lives. Here are some qualities that often define a minimalist person:
Simplicity: Minimalists prioritize simplicity in all aspects of their lives. They seek to simplify their possessions, daily routines, and commitments to create a sense of calm and clarity.
Intentionality: Minimalists are intentional about their choices. They carefully consider what they bring into their lives, whether it's physical possessions, relationships, or commitments. They focus on what truly adds value and eliminates what doesn't align with their priorities.
Decluttering: Minimalists actively declutter their physical spaces, getting rid of items they no longer need or find joy in. They understand that physical clutter can lead to mental clutter, and strive to create a clean and organized environment.
Mindfulness: Minimalists practice mindfulness and live in the present moment. They appreciate the simple pleasures of life, often finding joy in experiences rather than material possessions.
Frugality: Minimalists tend to be frugal and avoid unnecessary consumerism. They question the need for excessive spending and prioritize saving money for things that truly matter to them.
Environmental consciousness: Many minimalists are environmentally conscious and make choices that reduce their impact on the planet. They might prioritize sustainable and eco-friendly products, embrace minimal packaging, or reduce waste in their daily lives.
Detachment from material possessions: Minimalists do not attach their self-worth or happiness to material possessions. They understand that true happiness comes from within and focus on cultivating meaningful relationships, personal growth, and experiences.
Time and energy prioritization: Minimalists value their time and energy. They avoid activities, commitments, and relationships that drain them or don't align with their values. They prioritize activities that bring them joy, personal growth, and fulfillment.
Quality over quantity: Minimalists value quality over quantity. They prefer owning a few high-quality items that they truly cherish rather than accumulating a large number of mediocre possessions.
Focus on personal growth: Minimalists often prioritize personal growth and self-improvement. They strive to simplify their lives to create space and time for learning, pursuing hobbies, and developing meaningful connections.
It's important to note that minimalism is a personal journey, and individuals may embrace these qualities to varying degrees. Minimalism can be tailored to suit an individual's needs, values, and circumstances.

Speech 7: The Art of Self-Questioning and Choosing What Truly Matters
Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests,
As we continue our journey of self-discovery and the pursuit of authenticity, let us embark on a new exploration—one that involves questioning ourselves deeply and consciously choosing what truly matters in our lives. In this age of information overload and constant distraction, it is essential that we learn to discern what is worth our time and energy. To guide us in this endeavor, I offer you five fundamental questions to ponder:
Can I control the outcome? In a world filled with uncertainties, it's vital to distinguish between the things we can influence and those beyond our control. Focusing our energy on what we can change empowers us to make a real difference in our lives and the lives of others.
Does it add good problems to my life? Often, we are tempted by immediate gratification without considering the long-term consequences. Instead of seeking only comfort, we should embrace challenges that lead to personal growth and fulfillment. The pursuit of good problems can enrich our lives in ways we may not have imagined.
Does it help myself and/or others? Our actions and choices should contribute positively to our own well-being and the well-being of those around us. Consider the impact of your decisions on your own life and the broader community. Strive for a balance that uplifts both yourself and others.
Why do these emotions exist? Emotions are a window into our inner world. Rather than suppressing or being controlled by them, we should explore their origins and meanings. Understanding our emotions allows us to navigate life with greater wisdom and empathy.
Where does this incessant need for attention come from? In our interconnected world, the pursuit of attention has become a prevalent drive. It is crucial to examine the root of this need and question whether it aligns with our true values and desires. True fulfillment often arises from genuine connection rather than superficial attention.
Now, let us contemplate the paradox of seeking more positive experiences. The desire for constant positivity can itself become a negative experience, leading to dissatisfaction and anxiety. However, accepting our negative experiences, acknowledging them without judgment, can be a profoundly positive experience. By facing our challenges head-on, we gain resilience and insight, freeing ourselves from the grip of fleeting emotions. Moreover, we must recognize our natural tendency to project our beliefs and values onto others unconsciously. We often assume that others think and feel as we do, which can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts. To break free from this pattern, we must learn to empathize with diverse perspectives and engage in open-minded dialogue. In conclusion, my esteemed audience, the art of self-questioning and consciously choosing what truly matters is a lifelong journey. By contemplating these five questions and embracing the paradox of positive and negative experiences, we can liberate ourselves from the chains of mindless distraction and lead a life guided by intention and authenticity.May each of you find the courage to explore your inner landscape, make deliberate choices, and cultivate meaningful connections with others. Thank you for your attention. 🌟🤔🌱🌟🤔🌱🌟🤔🌱🌟🤔🌱

Most of you are aware I grew up in the greenhouse business our family has owned for 4 generations . We still are a greenhouse family to this day. I’ve shared this before but I’m sharing it again for beginner seed starters because generations of experience has taught many lessons. 1- Do not use the brown paper recycled pots of doom. 2- Add cinnamon to your seed starting mix. 1 cup of cinnamon per 20# of soil and then more sprinkled a top it. This will aid to prevent damping off and is actually a rooting hormone as well. 3- Use seed starting mix not potting soil and don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. It does matter. 4- Use heat mats w a thermostat set at 73-75° for most seeds . They’re worth it and they do improve germination significantly. 5- Any light in the right K temp will work. 5500-6500K is the correct k temp. This is not to be confused with lumens, they are not the same. 6.) Start when the signs are right. Don’t be willynilly. Ask any member of The Compound Club and they’ll tell ya all about how their termination rates and garden yields improved bc they followed this advice. . . . . . . #folkcore #cottagecore #gardencore #simpliving #slowfashion #simpleandstill #farmcore #slowliving #prairiestyle #mountainstyle #fromscratchliving #fromscratch #ancestralliving #folkways #ancestralwisdom #slowmotherhood #intentionalliving #counterculturemom #seedstarting #seedstarts #greenhouse #greenhousegardening #greenhouselife #greenhouses #greenhousebusiness #nurserybusiness #gardenmama #gardencore #gardencoach #gardening https://www.instagram.com/p/CmsL-E0O3E1/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Getting ready for the start of another 💯. I was reminded of how my running story has helped other veterans put their issues down and pick up running. Blessed beyond dreams. Remembering that 16 years ago I went left when people were saying go right and stop running, I kept going. Now I’m finding out that my story of that has encouraged people to change life decisions they were about to make. So that’s my why for my 💯 tomorrow. #unbridledrunning #ultrarunnerproblems #ultrarunning #100milerun #veteran #veteranawareness #mentalhealthawareness #dailypractice #intentionalliving #suicideawarness #changeyourmindsetchangeyourlife (at Huntsville State Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoN9KkapuNH/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Everyone is important.
As a social media manager, I have learned that everyone has a role to play, no matter how insignificant the task may seem to be.
I feel like what I do is really small sometimes because I'm so passionate about social media marketing and it's something I can talk about even when I am asleep.
Nevertheless, I have come to realize that this thing I see as "small" is actually very, very IMPORTANT.
The clients I have are so busy that if I don't do the work they pay me for, no one will. Their business can go on for weeks and no one will do what I do, and you know what that means.
Their business will suffer.
Understanding this helped me to see my role from another angle.
Imagine if there were no road wardens, cleaners, security officers, mechanics or housekeepers, who would do the work they do?
I know no one is indispensable, but I'm not talking about taking over roles which already exist. Instead, imagine these roles never existed.
Who would clean the roads, make sure our offices and homes are secured and in order?
So you see, everyone is IMPORTANT! and we come together to make the world a beautiful place.
Never look down on people and treat people well. We need each other to survive in this beautiful world.

Pick up your pen, dear star, for it is a magic wand dipped in stardust. Write it down. The act of writing isn't just recording; it's a sacred conversation with the universe. With each stroke, you send a signal, a beacon of intention into the cosmos. Trust that what you write, the universe hears.
Remember, dear star, the magic lies not just in the writing, but in the believing. Write it down, believe it deep within, and watch as the universe whispers back, guiding you on your incredible journey.
