only one word. stupidity. even a person who knows nothing about cricket or crowd management could tell that there would be a very very large number of people gathering for the "celebration". it was the same during the victory parade of ict in mumbai. it's so simple, don't announce anything public if you cannot handle that crowd in such a short notice. the pictures and videos are so heartbreaking the people must've only thought they'd get to see their "heroes". it is purely a failure of the franchise management and the state govt. i will not tolerate people blaming the victims be fr anyone would want to celebrate a victory. rip i hope this knocks some sense into the authorities
