she loves reading and studying but hates the library, so she studies outside

her books are all dog-eared and annotated with her thoughts and opinions about certain characters (remus was mortified when he saw that)

throws her hair over her shoulder when she is studying because it's pretty long and it gets in her face

always has her hair tucked behind her ear because she hates having long strands of hair in her face

despite being a nice person, she's very easy to piss off, and when she's angry, she can say some pretty hurtful stuff

never has long nails, she always chews them as much as she can. she started doing it when she was little and, no matter how much she tries to stop, she never could

her freckles get really dark during the summer (james absolutely adores that)

always cuts her bangs by herself because she doesn't think it's worth it to go to the hair salon just for that (she likes having her hair long, but she cut it into a short bob when the war started)

very much a high achiever, and ambition can tend to get the best of her sometimes (if she had known percy she would have related to him one hundred percent)

btw at the cost of sounding like a broken record, i love love love the symbolism of claire as a beacon of light - not only through the use of the torch or chris' lighter but also as a metaphor about she's dedicated her life to shedding a light on the lives umbrella and the government have ruined. i always complain about ID but something they did right ( whether intentional or not ) is how every time claire is in the scene everything visibly gets lighter and brighter as if her presence is what causes it.

i find even more curious the choice of keeping her tied in a darker corner of the underground facility and yet there's a soft light all around her that almost makes her look ethereal. it all plays on her reputation in universe and fandom that she's the closest main to ""sainthood"" even though in the end we as the audience know that she's not exempt from making slefish choice from time to time - which gets highlighted again in DI when claire helps dr taylor not once but twice and the idea of having to kill her is something the others are doubtful about

this is so embarassing to admit but i think the most clear unintentional misophonia rep ive seen is the dbz abridged bit where namekians can't listen to whistling because it puts them in agony and piccolo rips off his ears to get gohan to defeat slug that way
