Axl has another decades old allegation from some weirdo named Michelle Rhodes she claims she’s the one axl assaulted when she was 15 in 1985 after she miscarried their baby at the troubadour after 17 weeks
Hers is the most bizarre allegation because it doesn’t make sense like why is everyone trying to clout chase of axl again
I honestly am having trouble on who to believe I believe both sides like their old manager I think his name was Raz Que or something came out with his side but he probably had some motivation to get them in trouble or defamed because gnr probably fired him or they didn't want him as a manager but many people have confirmed her side of the story. She also said duff came to her house after the incident and begged her not to go to court and apparently Izzy was there when it happened but he was in another room with two chicks. Like I said I believe both sides I am just confused on the whole situation like I feel bad for her but I don't know if I believe her or not. She also said that Steven was really nice to her and that Slash and her were super close and he knew that she was pregnant. I don't know whether to believe her or not about her being pregnant. She said that Axl freaked out when he found out that she had a miscarriage and how he did horrible things to her afterwards. I think they all spoke about her in their own books and I think Slash mentioned being in a girls room with Izzy and the room was all fluffy and filled with pink stuff they were listening to Norwegian wood I don't know if that was Michelle. She also has a podcast out on Spotify. Either way if it is true I don't support Axl on what he did its horrible but half of me believes her.

mid-year wrap up of what i’ve read so far 🫶 i added a cut bc it’s pretty long
Tumblr media Tumblr media
except for my last book in june, i honestly haven’t been very impressed by anything i’ve read so far this year. a lot of my reads were good but none were 5 stars. tldr: read the emperor’s soul by brandon sanderson.
i was in a major reading slump this winter so i didn’t read any books in january, february, or march.
~~~
april:
my body by emily ratajkowski
this was very good! i didn’t vibe with it completely at the beginning but her writing style is very beautiful just like her 🤍 i listened to this as an audiobook, which is how i like to read most memoirs
skyward series by brandon sanderson (skyward, starsight, sunreach, redawn, cytonic, evershore, hyperthief, defiant)
i love brandon sanderson but i don’t fw his young adult books. i personally don’t vibe with ya anyway and i think sanderson has trouble with less complex/ya storylines. i was worried that the fight scenes would be boring because they’re fighting in spaceships but the sci-fi aspects were good! and the writing was good. the story just wasn’t giving what brandon is capable of giving.
macbeth by shakespeare
romeo romeo wherefore art thou romeo
crying in h-mart by michelle zauner
i love japanese breakfast and this memoir added so much heart to songs that are already very emotional for me. if you listen to japanese breakfast then you should read this book. it wasn’t necessarily a book that i couldn’t put down, i wish i listened to this as an audiobook instead. however i finished the last probably 20% in one sitting on mother’s day and immediately started watching some interviews of michelle zauner talking about her band and the book and then i gifted my copy of the book to my mother.
~~~
may:
the reckoners series by brandon sanderson (steelheart, mitosis, firefight, calamity, lux)
this series was surprisingly sexist for sanderson. most of his books that i’ve read have had female protagonists but the reckoners follows a man the entire time. the first book was intensely masculine, with david constantly looking at and thinking about megan’s body and only two women in the team, one of which is the love interest and the other barely being a character. the second book moved to a new location and added some new women characters and a female villain but still included moments like when david got danced on by a ‘bodacious’ woman and he compared her sensuality to megan’s tomboyish not-like-other-girls-ness and how he likes megan more than the ‘busty/curvy’ girl. very weird. i liked lux but i would definitely recommend any of sanderson’s adult fantasy books over any of his young adult books that i’ve read.
swimming in the dark by tomasz jedrowski
not the best book i’ve read and not the best lgbtq+ book i’ve read but the plot and writing were good! this book follows two young men in 1980’s poland as they develop feelings for each other under a government + in a time where it’s not really allowed. it’s a very short book so i would recommend it if you’re looking for a short emotional summer read.
the garden of time by j. g. ballard
read bc this was the met gala theme haha. i like short stories a lot and this one was very very good! there are a lot of ways to interpret this short fantastical story so this is a good story to read with a few friends and discuss like a mini book club! this was one of my top fav books of the year (it’s unfortunate that it’s only like 10 pages).
norwegian wood by haruki murakami
i’ve read norwegian wood twice and the plot has never really stuck with me but instead a lot of the simpler moments and ideas have. i first read this a couple of years ago and it was my first murakami book. i was thinking a lot about my gender at the time and this book is very masculine, which was a major plus for me at the time. since then, i’ve read more murakami books and i realized that i wish norwegian wood was a little bit more fantastical. not necessarily magical realism like his other books but i wish the ambiguousness in the ending was the vibe throughout more of the book. which is the complete opposite of how i felt on my first read, i loved how straightforward the book and toru’s character and worldview was.
a wrinkle in time by madeleine l’engle
cute. i wanted to read this very bad when i was a child but i didn’t have access to it and now i’ve read it 🤍
looking for alaska by john green
they could never make me hate john green. i wasn’t as feral about this now as i was when i was 14 but i still adore this book. the reader’s guide introduced me to stephanie says by the velvet underground which is probably going to be my top song this year.
the catcher in the rye by j. d. salinger
similar vibes to norwegian wood. i’ve read this twice and the first time i really liked how masculine and young this book felt. now that i’m older, i still really adore it.
~~~
june:
one true loves by taylor jenkins reid
this concept was very cool but i’m not obsessed with the execution. it reads like sally rooney’s normal people in how there’s little stories for each time period to show how the characters feel about each other but since that writing style is purposely fleeting i felt like it lacked depth for this intense story about grief. i also wish she saw olive more after high school. i did like the ideas in this book but the actual writing was not for me.
an enchanting case of spirits
i did not like this. the main character had an attitude for no reason, every side character was trying to help her out and she had a snarky comment about literally everything anyone said. the enemies to lovers was extremely forced, she hated her neighbor because when her fiancé passed away, he took her trash to the curb and back to the house for her. also fuck cops.
the invention of nature: alexander von humboldt’s new world by andrea wulf
this was surprisingly interesting. i listened to this as an audiobook, mainly for while i was driving. i think if i read it physically i would’ve gotten kind of bored but as a little podcast i was obsessed. i love the author’s hook in the beginning got me very interested, especially when she mentions how he’s the person with the most landmasses named after him and how she explains at the end how he was so impactful but not many people in the modern day know about him.
eragon by christopher paolini
the beginning and the end dragged but through the time that they’re actually on the road traveling i had a good time. this is not the best fantasy book ever but it’s alright.
none of this is true by lisa jewel
the first two sections were veryy addicting, i read this book in one day. however, the third act fell so flat for me. and the middle dragged a tiny bit. i’ll try not to spoil anything but with thrillers like this it’s impossible to review them without giving some stuff away. so my least favorite part about this entire book is how walter’s character is handled. i thought it was disgusting and i couldn’t get past that at all. and i think the epilogue should’ve been much longer than 3 pages, especially since lisa jewel apparently confirmed it in an interview (very much trying not to spoil anything haha). if walter didn’t do what he did then i would have very different feelings towards this book but if lisa was trying to get across what she said in the epilogue, implying very different things about walter than what roxy and erin were saying, then she should’ve made that very clear imo. i like ambiguous endings a lot but not when it comes to stuff like that.
where the wild things are by maurice sendak
one of my fav books as a child. i read this bc i want to rewatch the movie.
nimona by nd stevenson
very cute! but honestly if you didn’t follow this story when it was a webtoon / aren’t obsessed with the movie then i would recommend the movie over the graphic novel.
beach read by emily henry
i loved this concept so much. emily henry’s writing is a little more tropey than i prefer but she is very talented! very very good debut novel.
the selection by kiera cass (+ the queen, the prince, and 25% of the elite)
i would have loved this as a trashy reality show summer read but the dystopian aspects completely completely turned me off of this. it was very much trying to be a “monarchies are good as long as the people in charge are nice :))” while also being a rags to riches “look at the big pretty dress” and the message just didn’t make sense.
the emperor’s soul by brandon sanderson
i would recommend this to literally every single person. it took me about few pages to get into but like wow. this is a very good introduction to sanderson because it’s a short novella that isn’t connected to any of his big series. i read this in literally one sitting because it’s so gripping. the themes on creation, being an artist in a greedy world, and what it means to be a person from the most basic parts of our personalities is just so. beautiful. amazing. gorgeous. and the ending prologue makes the beginning make so much sense if you’re familiar with the cosmere (but you aren’t missing anything by using this as an introduction to sanderson).
ooh Bennie and the Jets is a favorite of mine too! Some other favorites would probably be I’m Still Standing (it’s what got me into Elton so it’s very special to me) and Curtains. My favorite albums are Too Low For Zero & Madman Across the Water. I do also really love Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and I have not yet listened to Caribou!
For George - I’m not sure if you’ve given a listen to his All Things Must Pass album, but if you haven’t, I would recommend to start there! It’s such a beautiful album and every song is so so good I’ve listened to it more times than I can probably count haha. But if you have listened, another recommendation would be Cloud 9. It’s my second favorite of his and again, all songs on it are so so good.
I’m listening to Rubber Soul as I’m writing this and so far I really enjoy Norwegian Wood & Nowhere Man. Do you have a favorite song off that album? I’d definitely understand if you can’t pick just one LOL. I’ll give Srg Peppers & Get Back a listen over the weekend. :)
I actually don’t play the violin, but I would love to learn since it’s my favorite instrument. I’m currently learning how to play piano and harmonica, so adding a violin to that list would be a bit of a learning overload rn lol. Do you play any instruments?
-🎻
Hello :D
Oooo yeah I’m Still Standing is a good one! I actually hadn’t listened to Curtains before, so I did and I like it! It reminds me kinda of Someone Saved My Life Tonight…but that might be because they’re both slower ballads. The electric guitar towards the middle was a cool touch, and the whole thing felt very heroic like a sunrise or flying or something idk haha. Both of those albums I think are really good too! I have Madman on vinyl, but not Too Low for Zero…do you collect records?
I’ve listened to a few songs from All Things Must Pass, but I haven’t listened to it all the way through so I’ll have to do that this weekend! I’ll also have to look into Cloud 9, because I’m not familiar with that at all. I’m excited to now hearing all of the goods things you say about them!
Oh nice! I like both of those a lot and I also would say Norwegian Wood is one of my favs along with Michelle! I’m excited to hear your thoughts on the others!
Yeah, violin is a really cool instrument and I can’t even imagine the work it takes to learn it! Piano and harmonica are cool to! How long have you been learning? I play the piano and I’ve been playing for around 8 years now! I love to play live, and I actually have a gig tonight (my second ever, last night was my first so I’m super excited to go back) I have a side blog where I post piano stuff if you’d like to check it out: @pearl-plays-piano
I hope you have a good day!
hey! would you like to talk about your favourite songs off of each album of the beatles? i’m always curious to know what are the elements that “attract” someone to a particular song!!
Yes I would love to, anon!!!!
My favourite on Please Please Me is Please Please Me: I just think think it's really fun, find those chords in the short breakdown mid-verse very cool and the "cOME ON" is infectious! Also the rhyming in the bridge section is so fun, love rhymes that incorporate multiple words like complainin' / rain in. Do You Want To Know A Secret? has also been growing on me recently just cause it's so melodically strange, it's kind of entrancing.
For With The Beatles, my faves are Till There Was You and You Really Got A Hold On Me cause I think they're each one of the respective's lead-singers best performances, plus the guitar solo on TTWY and the backing vocals on YRGAHOM are to die for!! And if you want to know my favourite original on WTB then it's definitely All My Loving – kind of basic but it's just that great of a song. The perfect melody, really. The stop-and-gos, the walkdown basslines, the diminished chords in the middle eight. MUAH!
sidenote: I use "bridge" if the song has a clearly differentiable verse and chorus + a third part (the bridge) and I use "middle eight" for the non-main part when there are only two distinct sung parts.
On A Hard Day's Night, my favourite song is I Should Have Known Better, cause it's infectious and the middle eight going into minor just sounds so good.
On Beatles For Sale my fave is I Don't Want To Spoil The Party – my URL of course :) I think one think that originally attracted me to it is that it sounds like a Taylor song content-wise (not really music-wise but hey, country pals stick together!). I love the melody during the "I wonder what went wrong / I've waited far too long" bit and the way he and Paul trade off lead harmonies going into the middle eight is so lovely.
On Help! it's actually pretty hard to pick a favourite. Probably Help! because it's a banger and I love the backing vocals but I'm also very partial to You've Got To Hide Your Love Away and I Need You and Ticket To Ride. YGTHYLA just has SUCH a good chorus melody and George echoing it is *chef's kiss*. I Need You is just such a sweet little song and Ticket To Ride is so harmonically and structurally interesting. Love how Paul comes in and out with his backing vocals, love how long the song lingers on the A major chord only to resolve it in a super unexpected way.
On Rubber Soul (my FAVE!!!!!!) my favourite You Won't See Me because just ---- everything about it works for me. I love angry yet upbeat breakup(ish) songs, I love the uber-60s atmosphere of the song, I love the bassline and I love when John steals the attention with his "No I wouldn't, No I wouldn't" at the end of the middle eight. But Since I love Rubber Soul I'd like to mention that Norwegian Wood, Nowhere Man, Michelle and In My Life (yes, I've converted, keep your pants on) are all incredible songs! NW is just hypnotic with its story and the sitar is just perfect; NM again, BASSLINE, and the harmonizing!!! I also really like how John sings on it; Michelle is one of the most gorgeous pieces of music I've ever heard; IML has clawed its way up for me after spending like MONTHS thinking about what the song truly means. Also I'm a sucker for using a minor fourth chord (as opposed to a major fourth chord) while playing in major!!!!
Revolver, my absolute favourite Beatles song is Eleanor Rigby because it tells the story it's trying to tell perfectly with exactly the right amount of words and the melody is rather lovely. But I still must mention I'm Only Sleeping which is my second-favourite Beatles song cause it just sounds absolutely great, start to finish. John weaves between major and minor so seemlessly and every melody in this song is perfect. The lyrics are charming beyond belief and the reverse guitar solo sounds amazing.
Sgt. Pepper: my fave is probably She's Leaving Home. I LOVE the dueting bit and I think it tells a story really well. Also obligatory shoutout to A Day In The Life, insane song. Ringo's fills on that!!!! The Ahhhs!!!! They transition so PERFECTLY back into the "I read the news today" melody, I want to eat grass.
On Magical Mystery Tour my fave is The Fool On The Hill mostly cause I just looooove those switches between the chirpy major of the verses and the dark minor of the chorus. It carries so much meaning on its own, the production of that song perfectly matches its content. MUAH!
For the White Album my favourite is While My Guitar Gently Weeps: probably George's best lyrics but also THE PIANO INTRO!!!!! THE BASS IN THE MIDDLE EIGHT!!! Also the switching from minor to major, actually in the exact same way Paul does in The Fool On The Hill only reversed. Love it!
On Yellow Submarine it's Hey Bulldog but basically by default :| I don't give this song much thought, I do like the piano lick though.
On Abbey Road my favourite is Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight: literally like PEAK PAUL. One of his most gorgeous melodies, one of his most poignant lyrics and basically my fave vocal performance of his!!!! The string arrangement in Golden Slumbers literally sounds like the violins are trying to comfort him. It's just lovely.
I'm not entirely sure what my favourite on Let It Be is tbh I don't like Let It Be much oops. In theory the best song is cleary Across The Universe but all the recordings are shit so ....! Get Back but the Love album version lmao that packs a better punch. Although the 2021 Mix was an improvement.
Fleurety - The White Death
I admit having totally forgot about their existence. After the awesome Department of Apocalyptic Affairs of 17 years ago, they did caress the idea of a a full LP again but I despaired after the years passed by and no concrete news of a full album came out.
Then The White Death popped up among the suggested albums in my Spotify account and I thus devolved a weekend to savour it. And it was worth it.
The White Death sounds much more tamed than its predecessor. 17 years have passed and we have witnessed the watering down or, as I prefer to call it, the less norwegian avantgarde black metal version of today. Now much of it is in the blackgaze+drone+ambient camp more than in the weird and jazzy that Department of Apocalyptic Affairs was nearly 2 decades back. The french ruined the raw spirit of the cold North. But I digress.
Therefore I wasn't expecting anything too weird. The White Death is indeed less weird, much less jazzy, more heavily influenced by prog-metal, a very dark one at that, than the second LP of the band. It is very well grounded, much more consistent from song to song. It doesn't try to break any boundaries anymore, too many have been broke already by the late 90s avantgarde albums from the likes of Arcturus, Dodheimsgard, In The Woods, Ulver, Ved Buens Ende and more. There's no more space for that kind of music but there's for a good, fascinating-sounding album, as The White Death indoubtedly is. While the opener isn't impressive but sets the tone for the rest of the album, The Ballad Of Copernicus seems a song that Carl-Michel Eide could have written completely by himself for his current main project, Virus. I guess his personality influenced way more the music than his role of guest musician usually would. The following one is another highlight of the album: Lament Of The Optimist pays omage to the recent Darkthrone sound, albeit less classically norwegian than Fenriz and Nocturno Culto play.
For songs more in the tradition of Fleurety we have to continue to the remaining songs of the album: especially Trauma and The Science Of Normality. Admittedly, the more interesting songs are in the first part, curiosedly the ones that distantiate themselves from the sound of Fleurety that we are used to. It's probably a sign that the band could go back at experimenting with the next album. I just hope we won't have to wait 17 more years.
Braving the RS 500 Greatest Albums of All Time: #5, The Beatles - Rubber Soul
Tumblr media
(Start date: April 19th, 2018 / Day 337)
From Rolling Stone:
In 1965, radios were abuzz with such groundbreaking singles as "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and "Like a Rolling Stone." That December, the Beatles met their peers' challenge head-on with Rubber Soul, a stunning collection that preserved the taut pop focus of the band's earlier LPs while introducing newfound sophistication and depth. Producer George Martin described Rubber Soul as "the first album to present a new, growing Beatles to the world," and so it was.
The moptops were evolving in remarkable ways. "Drive My Car" is a comic character study of a sort not previously in the Beatles' repertoire. More profoundly, however, Bob Dylan's influence suffuses the album, accounting for the tart emotional tone of "Norwegian Wood," "I'm Looking Through You," "You Won't See Me" and "If I Needed Someone." (Dylan would return the compliment the following year, when he offered his own version of "Norwegian Wood" – titled "4th Time Around" – on Blonde on Blonde, and reportedly made John Lennon paranoid.) Lennon's "Nowhere Man," which he later acknowledged as a depressed self-portrait, and the beautifully reminiscent "In My Life" both reflect the more serious and personal style of songwriting that Dylan had suddenly made possible.
George Harrison's sitar on "Norwegian Wood" – the first time the instrument was used in a pop song – and Paul McCartney's fuzz bass on "Think for Yourself" document the band's increasing awareness that the studio could be more than a pit stop between tours. Harrison called Rubber Soul "the best one we made," because "we were suddenly hearing sounds that we weren't able to hear before." And as for why the band's hearing had grown so acute, well, that was another aspect of the times. "There was a lot of experimentation on Rubber Soul," said Ringo Starr, "influenced, I think, by the substances."
Anyone who has trapped me against my will in a serious conversation about the Beatles probably knows that “Rubber Soul” is the album of theirs that I view the most favorably. I think it’s the high water mark for their albums, and where “The White Album” emphasizes their worst tendencies as artists, their group dynamic and individual strengths are most apparent on this record.
The arrangements here are interesting and imaginative, all while retaining its pop sensibilities––most apparent with Harrison’s sitar on “Norwegian Wood”, the harmonium on “The Word”, and guitar partially played to sound like a bouzouki on “Girl”. They successfully experiment with pop-rock without overhauling the sound into something nearly unlistenable in the name broadening their sound. Their vocal harmonies here are probably the best here too. The whole thing is subtly sophisticated, and it never comes off as though it’s trying too hard.
My primary beef with it, to the shock of nobody, would be Lennon interpolating that one Arthur Gunter lyric I hate on the album’s closer, “Run For Your Life”, which is disgustingly misogynistic tune beyond that. As we all know, John Lennon is why we can’t have nice things. And to a lesser extent, it has some clunky moments, namely “Michelle” and “What Goes On”, but other than that, it’s easily their best. An unpopular opinion? I guess. It doesn’t really matter, though. It’s just cool that I can listen to a Beatles album and come out pretty happy with it at the end.
Year: 1965 Standout Track(s): Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), You Won’t See Me, Think for Yourself, The Word, In My Life Rating: 4.5/5 - I told you guys I didn’t completely hate the Beatles
The Beatles asks
I did this for my all-time faves Arctic Monkeys a while ago but given my recent attack of Beatlemania, i decided to try it out on the original incarnation
General
1. What was the first Beatles song you heard?
Unlike Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles were already deeply ingrained in the culture before I was born so I couldn’t pinpoint this. I think It might have been “She Loves You”
2. What was the first Beatles album you bought?
I have never purchased a Beatles album but my sister did own that 1 compilation album, which i listened to a lot in high school
3. What was the last Beatles song you listened to?
“The Night Before”
4. Have you ever seen The Beatles live?
Seeing as I was born after 1980, this would be impossible.
5. Have you ever met any of the members?
not even close
6. What do you think their next album will sound like? Which of their covers is your favourite?
Their “Twist and Shout” is iconic. I also really enjoy “Besame Mucho” or some reason and their “You Really Got A Hold On Me” jam in Let It Be. but i’m a George girl, so “Roll Over Beethoven” might be my favourite.
Songs and Albums 7. Favourite Beatles song?
it’s been “Come Together” since i was in high school and even though i’ve recently made a point to listen to all of their albums, i still can’t say that i have a different answer
8. Favourite Beatles album?
Rubber Soul is the real answer BUT Abbey Road is a much better cohesive album and i can’t think of a single song on that album that i don’t like... so it’s difficult.
9. Favourite album era?
i love me some Hard Day’s Night era rowdy boys but also Magical Mystery Tour era is very good and like prime Beatles. Let It Be era is the most heartbreaking.
10. Least favourite Beatles song?
i think because i have ears, i do truly dislike “Revolution 9″ but also I guess a few from Sgt Pepper’s like “Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite” “Good Morning Good Morning” and “She’s Leaving Home”. also “Within You, Without You” and I know it’s blasphemy but I kinda don’t care for “Penny Lane” so much even though I love the character in Almost Famous
11. Least Favourite Beatles album?
Beatles For Sale is so uninspired and blah
12. Least Favourite album era?
probably Let It Be because of how depressing it is 13. Favourite song off Let It Be?
Every single Paul song on that album is pretty much the most important thing to ever happen. “The Long And Winding Road” might be the realest one.
14. Least favourite song off Let It Be?
“One After 909” probably
15. Favourite song off Abbey Road?
“Come Together” is my favourite song anyway so by default it should be that. the George songs on that album are in top form, super strong. “Octopus’ Garden” is great. I also shamelessly love “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” so there’s that. “Carry That Weight” and “The End” and “Her Majesty” are also so great like I honestly love this album and I don’t know how to choose a favourite.
16. Least favourite song off Abbey Road?
”Sun King” but only by default I’m sure.
17. Favourite song off Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band?
“A Day In The Life” is iconic. and the title song.
18. Least favourite song off Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band?
“She’s Leaving Home” I think
19. Favourite song off Rubber Soul?
can’t decide between “In My Life,” “Michelle,” “The Word,” and “Norwegian Wood”
20. Least favourite song off Rubber Soul?
maybe “Think For Yourself”
21. Favourite song off Help!?
”Help!” and “Ticket To Ride” and of course the lesbian anthem “You’re Gonna Lose That Girl”
22. Least favourite song off Help!?
“You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” maybe 23. Favourite album/ single artwork?
i mean Let It Be has the best cover. I kind of hate the Yellow Submarine art style, but then that’s not even any of them who drew like that.
 24. Favourite b-side?
“Lady Madonna” is technically a b-side I think? and therefore that is my answer
25. Least favourite b-side?
I don’t really know what Beatles b-sides are tbh so.. I think “Hello Goodbye” is one? if so, that’s my answer
26. Favourite music video?
I really like the “Lady Madonna” video
27. Favourite lyric?
“and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make” –“The End” from Abbey Road
28. Song that always gets stuck in your head?
so many. they were earworm masters. probably “Can’t Buy Me Love”
Members 29. Favourite band member?
George Harrison always has been and probably always will be my favourite, but the more I learn about The Beatles history, the more defensive and protective I grow of Paul.
30. Favourite Paul hair style?
he looked DELICIOUS with that beard. I know it was a depression beard and that makes me sad, but he looked A+ with that long hair he continuously tussled and god knows I love a beard. very good.
31. Favourite John hair style?
i prefer it long I guess. Let It Be was the best looks era for all of them.
32. Favourite George hair style?
I really liked his Ed Sullivan era look. but also Magical Mystery Tour thru Let It Be was a devastating hottie.
33. Favourite Ringo hair style?
i love his Rory and The Hurricanes hair actually
34. Favourite Paul fashion/ outfit?
actually in some of the Get Back/Let It be sessions, he was wearing this simple black vest that John made fun of saying he looked like “a Victorian miner” but I literally loved it. I also love pretty much eveyr ugly sweater or sweater vest I’ve seen him wear
35. Favourite John fashion/ outfit?
i am a fan of the white suit on the Abbey Road cover
36. Favourite George fashion/ outfit?
actually the denim ensemble from the Abbey Road cover is probably also my favourite look for him? I also love the school boy uniform from the “Crackerbox Palace” video
37. Favourite Ringo fashion/ outfit?
I don’t really know. the lion costume for their Midsummer Night’s Dream skit
Misc. 38. Funniest Beatles moment?
literally any?
39. Favourite live performance?
I particularly love the “Don’t Let Me Down” performance on the rooftop gig—the one where Paul does his little shimmy. I don’t know why I just feel like they were all exactly in tune with each other and having the time of their lives and everything in their careers together was leading up to this one moment and I am emotional now.
40. Favourite interview?
so many. probably the one where Ringo says he doesn’t even smoke.. as he takes a puff from his cigarette. it’s the same one where John is asked what kind of girl he likes and he says his wife, then George is asked and he says “John’s wife.” that is probably altogether my favourite interview.
41. Are you a fan of The Rolling Stones?
not nearly as religiously but “Start Me Up” is my fucking anthem and I support them
42. Do you ship McLennon?
look.. i try not to ship real people. but Yoko kinda confirmed that John was bisexual and John and Paul fucking loved each other and it is hard for me to believe that during a time with such mainstream homophobic beliefs that these men did not have repressed feelings for each other that they didn’t want to admit to. so yeah, I kinda ship it.
43. Do you have any other Beatles ships?
i really don’t ship real people
44. Do you know how to play any Beatles songs on any instruments?
i do not
45. Would you like the Beatles to collab with anyone? who? What’s your favourite Beatles cover?
either “Helter Skelter” by Dana Fuchs or “We Can Work It Out” by Stevie Wonder… or “The Long and Winding Road” by Ray Charles or “Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight” by Jennifer Hudson… or “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” by Girl In A Coma 46. What other bands do you listen to?
Arctic Monkeys, The Last Shadow Puppets, The Clash, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Green Day, Girl in a Coma, The Seshen, Coheed and Cambria, Queen, Imagine Dragons, No Doubt, Dragonette
47. Favourite non-Beatles band?
Arctic Monkeys
48. Favourite non-Beatles band member?
Billie Joe Armstrong
49. Favourite non-Beatles song?
TAINTED LOVE BY SOFT CELL
 50. Favourite post-Beatles song?
Note
if the beatles could do any taylor song, which one would you choose? and vice versa.
as in as a cover? hmmm VERY interesting question!!!
honestly IMAGINE the chaos of a Tomorrow Never Knows-style produced Look What You Made Me Do ...Would stan that. Otherwise I've said before Death By A Thousand Cuts lowkey reminds me of their production style, what with the kind of random instrumentation and hardpanning. I feel like Paul could probably sing it pretty well. Also would love to hear John's raw vocal doing this is me trying. :(
Taylor would probably do well with their calmer songs. Norwegian Wood would suit her voice well I think? Also Michelle could be good. Would be interesting to see if she ever does a cover by them :) Generally wish we got more covers from her tbh, Can't Stop Loving You was SUPERB
