The façade of one of the buildings of the Shah-i Zinda, Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The Shah-i-Zinda Ensemble in Samarkand is a stunning necropolis comprising over 20 mausoleums and ritual buildings dating from the 11th to the 19th centuries. Its name, meaning “The Living King,” refers to a legend that Qutham ibn Abbas, cousin of the Prophet Muhammad, is buried there.
The complex developed over eight centuries and is divided into three sections—lower, middle, and upper—connected by arched domed passages known as chartak. The earliest structures date to the 11th–12th centuries, though most of the preserved architecture stems from the 14th–15th centuries, particularly during the time of Timur (Tamerlane) and his successors.

I never understand how some men can show kindness, gentleness, and compassion to the world outside but wear a completely different face at home.
The worst kind of man is the one who appears righteous to the public, yet is a harsh tyrant with his own family. Aren’t your wife and children the ones most deserving of your warmth, mercy, and patience?
Masculinity is not about being cold, distant, or harsh. Qawwama (being a maintainer and protector) does not mean ruling with an iron fist.
A real man knows balance — to provide, to protect, to show mercy, and to be gentle with his family — while also standing firm when necessary. He plays with his family without losing respect. And when the time comes to make serious decisions, he is decisive and firm, not oppressive.
Balance is knowing when to press the gas and when to apply the brake — and when you do put your foot down, your family knows your decision is made with wisdom, not ego.
It was narrated by Ibraaheem ibn Daazeel, from Abu Huthayfah, from Ath-Thawri, from his father, from Ibraaheem At-Tameemi, that ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
“A man should be like a child with his wife, but when he is needed (to be serious), he must act like a man.”
(Al-Mujaalasah wa Jawaahir Al-‘Ilm — Ad-Deenawari, the Maliki scholar).

Perhaps this waiting period is Allah’s way of softening your heart, deepening your du’as, and preparing you for something far greater than you imagined. Maybe this season of struggle is actually drawing you nearer to Him, strengthening your faith and building a patience that only He can reward. The delays, the closed doors, the detours—they aren’t setbacks, but signs that His plan is unfolding perfectly. Trust that His timing isn’t just good—it’s the best for you.

Today is the religious holiday of the Alevites and Israel has shed blood on Iran, but do not rejoice. Israel and America should not rejoice. Before the Prophet Muhammad died, he was informed that there would be a war close to the apocalypse. Your atomic bombs will be of no use. Muslims will win the war. The Antichrist is very angry and is begging Allah to break his chains. When Allah allows him, it means the end of the whole world has come. Stop the war immediately. The Amik plain will turn into a bloodbath.

And it is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection.

Imān is something that will always fluctuate. It will never remain at the same level constantly. Your Salah should be non-negotiable. Do not compromise on it at any cost.
If you are going out, try to fix your salah first. Even if your Imān is low, don't leave it. Even if you're feeling spiritually low, that should not lead to missing one prayer. Let it not happen that missing one prayer leads to missing all five prayers. Try to pray, strive to pray all of them. When you start praying even one, gradually it will become a habit.
Secondly, never abandon your morning and evening adhkar. Make it a daily habit.
Thirdly, constantly be in Istighfar. Try to do as much Istighfar as possible. Dhikr softens the heart. Even when your Imān is low, your heart becomes soft through dhikr — and things get better.
And remember two things:
If you are low in Imn, have non-negotiable. Try to stay away from certain things. Like even if my Imān is low right now or ever becomes weak, I'll never do this things — no matter what happens.
And when you are high in Imān — of course, such moments come where you feel spiritually strong or emotional — try to do as much good as possible during that time.
There is a book called "Fortress of the Muslim." It contains morning and evening adhkar. Never leave those. When you read the translation of those dua's, you'll realize how important those dua's are.

Sufyan Ath-Thawri (رحمه الله) said: One day, Umar ibn Abdul Aziz sat in silence whilst his companions were talking around him. So they asked him, “Why are you not speaking, O Amirul Mu’minin?” He replied, “I was thinking about how the people of Jannah will visit one another, and about how the people of the Fire will scream.” And then he began to cry.
No matter what status you hold or what position you fill in life, you cannot neglect self-reflection.
But take action externally — you cannot fixate on every problem you have. Yet hold yourself accountable before holding others to the same standards. Start with yourself, and a positive ripple will spread throughout, changing everything on the periphery.
Remember, Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.
