Fellow vampire enthusiasts, I am once more in need of extras for my story, Helena Zhao Is Dead! If you missed my first vampire casting call, you can take a look at how it turned out here. This time around, I'll be utilizing your vampires across several future scenes, which means they may not show up right away but that the submission period is indefinite. There's no need to rush! I'm always coming up with more ideas and will do my very best to work your vampire(s) in wherever they best fit. Read below the cut for further specifications.
Reblog to boost!
Any gender, color, age, era, experience, background, etc. but please submit vampires only! (If you don't have the Vampires pack, don't worry. I can turn them into true vampires in my game.)
FEEL FREE TO SUBMIT MULTIPLE SIMS!!!
Not sure where to start? I am especially looking for residents of Forgotten Hollow (the more ancient, curmudgeonly and bizarre the better), stylish modern vampires who love clubbing and partying and mingle easily among humans, vampires who don't try to blend in with humans at all, and alternative '80s vampires who are likely to appear in the crowd at a grimy punk/goth concert. These are only suggestions! You can submit vampires who don't fit any of these molds. I may not have an immediate use for them, but I'll try to find one.
Include a brief biography so I can get a sense of their character! I can't include every detail, but I'll incorporate as much as possible.
Please stick as close to Maxis match as you can. Be thoughtful about the CC you include. Sliders and presets are okay, but try to avoid large merged files or unnecessary mods. I recommend giving them one or two CC outfits and leaving other categories nude or vanilla to keep file sizes down and prevent my mods folder from exploding!
I'll try to maintain your vision as much as possible but may make minor tweaks to fit my style.
When you post your Sim(s), be sure to include a download link or share one with me privately.
Tag your post with #bramblewoodvamps and @ my username to make sure I see it!
Any other questions? Don't hesitate to ask.

I love seeing more Bowers gang content! Request: what would their ideal partner be like?
THE BOWERS GANG'S IDEAL PARTNERS ☻
Tumblr media
Belch Huggins
Someone sweet and tender, but still assertive, confident, and self-assured. It's very important to Belch to have someone to "hold her own", especially with his position in the gang as, essentially, the "yes-man". Someone with good communication skills, too, is important; Belch has good communication when he's not with the guys, and though he has a lot of anxieties concerning relationships, he prioritizes trust and communication. Good music taste is also a must; if Belch does not vibe with your music taste, he does not vibe with you. He loves piercings, dyed hair, shortness, and "alternative" fashion pieces of the late '80s, like flannels, ripped jeans, plaid skirts, denim jackets, and combat boots.
Henry Bowers
Someone who is gentle, nonjudgmental, and most of all, obedient — sorry, but the gender roles of his father were hammered into Henry's brain. He'd be fine with an occasional deference — typically it helps him get out of his cycles of rage and tunnel-vision — but Henry needs someone he doesn't feel like he has to argue or fight with. He definitely wants a girl at least 3 to 4 inches shorter than him (he's very insecure about his height of 5'8, feeling it makes him less "masculine"). He loves a feminine, "trad" look that isn't too modest but isn't too showy (those gender roles again), meaning at-the-knee dresses, pleated skirts, mary-janes, and anything floral (but not garishly so).
Patrick Hockstetter
The same thing that he views as the best quality in a person: the ability to keep him entertained. Patrick is the least concerned about morals, looks, and personality; whether they're uppity or adventurous, as long as they amuse Patrick and put out (or provide a fun challenge to getting them to put out), he's set. He loves trad-goth and punk looks —he's a sucker for a good dye job and piercings — just as much as he loves preppy, goodie-two-shoes sort of looks, as Patrick loves corrupted people as much as he loves corrupting people. He prefers thicker body types because "it's something to grab on to" (vomit).
Victor Criss
Someone who is ambitious and driven, but still willing to go with the flow and relax at the end of each day. Victor is naturally drawn to go-getter types not only for their ambition, but because of the moments of vulnerability he gets to share with them, where they realize they're not. Having someone with differences that work together for the better is. Victor is mostly unconcerned with style as long as it's not too-in-your-face (looking at you, Greta Keene), but prefers taller to average girls (though shortness isn't a dealbreaker) and a more natural look, like nude makeup and unstyled hair.

Music Artists I think the HOA Characters (Season 1 Specifically) would listen to!
Note: First head canon type thing I am putting on here (yay!). This is something I have thought a lot just myself in my lonesome so Id thought Id share it here! If you have any other ideas of what certain characters would listen to I would love to hear!
Nina
-> I think we as a fandom have collectively decided that Nina would 100% be a swiftie (and I agree). Her favorite album would be either Speak Now or Folklore, however, her fav song would probs be "London Boy" off of the Lover album though (for obvious reasons)
-> I can see her listening to some other softer artists like beabadobee, Clairo, and Boygenius (shes a softie at heart what can I say)
-> "All American Bitch" by Olivia Rodrigo is her confidence booster song for sure
-> Her and Amber have 2000-2010's pop music dance parties in their room together (which make annoy some of the housemates from them jumping around and dancing; also get in trouble with Victor about it but its worth it to them)
->Ok I need you guys to HEAR ME OUT with this one, but...Nina definitely is a little (just a little bit) of a theatre kid. I mean let's be real, she wrote an entire play for the school AND performed in it,,,my girl def is a little bit of a theatre girl. So with that being said, she listens to some show tunes from musicals (mostly Waitress and Mamma Mia)
Amber
-> She would so be a Y2k pop listening type of girl
-> Favorite songs would be "Rich Girl" by Gwen Stefani, "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga, HEAVY ON "Stars are Blind" by Paris Hilton!!!!!!
-> Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Beyonce, if its an iconic pop girl, she listens to them
-> Marina and the Diamonds. IDK IT JUST MAKES SO MUCH SENSE TO ME I CANNOT EXPLAIN. Some of her songs just give that "it girl" energy and if there is an "it girl" of the Anubis house its miss Amber Millington. "Bubblegum Bitch" is blasted in her car with the top down (because she def has a convertible and its pink)
-> Ariana Grande stan. Probably had a stroke when Ariana came out with a makeup line and bought ALL OF IT.
Fabian
-> Fabian def listens to alternative music old and new.
->LOVES THE SMITHS! Like its almost the only thing he listens to
-> Favorite songs by the Smiths include "There is a Light that Never Goes Out" and "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want"
-> Listens to the Arctic Monkeys for sure
-> Some other artists he listens to are Radiohead, The Cranberries, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and TV Girl.
-> Fabian is my favorite awkward loser boy... he listens to Weezer
Patricia
-> Didn't Alfie call her like a "Punk rock/goth vixen" or something like that? (I can't remember the quote or the episode it is in for the life of me)
-> Regardless of whatever the quote was, this is our punk rock alternative queen right here
-> PARAMORE SHE LIKES PARAMORE (has a crush on Hayley Williams because I said so)
-> Had a Panic At the Disco and FallOutBoy phase for sure
-> Listens to the Smiths a little bit (because Fabian showed her some songs)
-> Also listens to some metal rock, loves Poppy and always liked her weird concepts
Alfie
-> Alfie listens to anything and everything I feel like
-> alternative, pop, rock, jazz, electronic, DISCO, hell even fucking dubstep.
-> If he likes it, that's all that matters to him. He doesn't care about the genre or style of music it is
-> I feel he would listen to a lot of artists from the 70s and 80s (idk if that's because of Jeromes quote about him being stuck in the 80s but it would make sense!)
->Loves ABBA, BeesGees, Earth Wind and Fire, and WHAM
-> When "Lets Groove" by Earth Wind and Fire was trending on tiktok, he played it every chance he could. That song has been banned from the house since.
Jerome
-> Like Fabian, he's an Arctic Monkeys fan
-> ADVID LISTENER OF I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME
-> Favorite song by IDKHBTFM is Choke
-> I feel like he would also love Childish Gambino idk why I just feels right
-> Secretly listens to Mitski. That boy has been traumatized even BEFORE he was at Anubis, he deserves to cry to Mitski
-> The Neighborhood is a favorite of his (especially their song Daddy Issues because of,,, obvious reasons) Second favorite song of theirs would be Single (if you haven't heard that song highly recommend)
-> Hozier feels right for him idk
Joy
-> I think as a fandom we have concluded that she is also a swiftie. Her favorite album is Midnights and Reputation imo
-> HEAVY ON OLIVIA RODRIGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-> The Sour album was life changing for her (same can be said for Guts)
-> Literally her top songs of the year were all from the album. Jealously Jealousy, Favorite Crime, Hope You're Happy, Good for You to be specific
-> I can see her being a Harry fan
-> Definitely forced Patricia to go to Love on Tour (Patricia liked it, but she definitely won't tell you that)
-> She was a One Directioner so naturally, the love carried on into the members solo careers (had to miss class when Zayn left)
Mara
-> LAUFEY LAUFEY LAUFEY LAUFEY LAUFEY!!!!!!!
-> Also just listens to old Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, Dean Martin
-> Listened to 5SOS during her brief "bad girl" era to help prove her point but she actually ended up really liking them!
Mick
-> Ed Sheeran and Jojo Siwa
*AUTHOR NOTE* I really hope you guys enjoyed this! Tbh it took a while because a few were tricky for me. Please fell free let me know if you have any you would add. Sorry some descriptions are longer than others

Shoegaze Classics - Loveless
Tumblr media
Loveless - My Bloody Valentine (1991)
Main Genres - Shoegaze, Noise Pop, Dream Pop
A decent sampling of: Experimental Rock, Neo-Psychedelia, Alternative Dance
DUT DUT DUT DUT VREW VREW VREW VREW VREW VREW VREW
Well, if you knew anything about shoegaze going into this series, you knew that this review was going to be inevitable.
Today I take on the most truly revered shoegaze band, and probably one of the most legendary indie bands of all time. God help me, I'm going to do my best, so here goes nothing. Let's talk about My Bloody Valentine and Loveless.
The Band
My Bloody Valentine is an awesome band. Plain and simple. The name is awesome, the sound is awesome, their public persona is awesome. Just, lots of awesomeness.
Okay, I can probably do better than that. Hmmm... Okay wait, stay with me here.
My Bloody Valentine were originally an unlikely, little-known post-punk band from the 80s, that somehow went on to being one of the most important and influential bands of the 90s whilst only having dropped one record for the entire aforementioned decade.
After a series of lineup changes that coincided with a search for the bands' sonic identity, the true My Bloody Valentine lineup solidified as Kevin Shields, the madman musical genius leader of the crew on guitars and vocals, Bilinda Butcher, a feathery soft-spoken punk on guitar and vocals, Colm Ó Cíosóig as the animated, flappy-haired drummer, and Debbie Googe as the badass butch bassist (BBB) who was originally from the anarchist punk scene.
I've been trying to consistently use the term "British Isles" to describe the epicenter of the initial first wave of shoegaze. I wanted to be careful not to just say "Britain" or the U.K., because that would be somewhat revisionist.
Proto-shoegazers A.R. Kane may have formed in London, but other "proto" bands like Jesus and Mary Chain and Cocteau Twins were from Scotland. As for the band most credited with the true inception of shoegaze by its strictest definition, that would be My Bloody Valentine, hailing from Ireland, folks who often (for very good reason) don't take too kindly to being described as "British". That being said, Debbie and Bilinda are English.
I won't waste too much time going into the history of the band for this review, mostly because this is already gonna be a long one and I've got so many things to say about the record itself. So I'll give you the sparknotes version.
Like most early shoegazers, My Bloody Valentine dropped a few EPs before their first full-length LP, albeit in some completely different genres. C86 style Jangle Pop, Post-Punk, and frigging Psychobilly of all things apparently?
The band really found their sound, and pioneered the definitive collective traits of shoegaze in 1988, signing with Creation Records and dropping the EP You Made Me Realize and, later that year, their debut full-length Isn't Anything which, depending on who you ask, is the first true shoegaze LP (Though a very little known post-punk band named A Primary Industry may have something to say about that).
Shoegaze was invented with the propagation of a new world of sonic timbres discovered through the usage of guitar pedals, and My Bloody Valentine in particular really loved their pedals. On top of those pedals, the band laid a lot of distortion and harsh volumes.
Likeswise, My Bloody Valentine has pretty much always been just as much a noise pop band like their contemporaries The Jesus And Mary Chain. The two scenes overlapped a lot during the first wave (just like dream pop and neo-psychedelia), and some even describe the shoegaze formula as essentially being dream pop + noise pop = shoegaze. Personally I think this is a reductionist definition when there are many shoegaze bands that don't fit nicely into either of those other categories. But I digress.
Isn't Anything was the record that launched a thousand (shoegaze) ships. It's certainly a bit more overtly post-punk in its foundations, and rougher around the edges than what would come next. But I also really do love this record. "You Never Should" and "No More Sorry" in particular are two of my favourite My Bloody Valentine songs.
What came next, however, is a whole different beast entirely.
The Record
I'll start with the disclaimer that everything I could possibly say about Loveless is probably already a cliche by now.
Insanely fuzzy and warm. Layers upon layers of sound that demonstrates a level of musical precision and perfectionism that almost doesn't seem human. Reinvented the guitar like virtually no other record before or since. Oddly arousing and potentially even sapphic if you read into the lyrics (tbf Debbie is a confirmed gay indie icon). Sounds exactly like the neon shades of magenta displayed on the cover art.
2023 is frankly a little bit late to be writing a review about this heavily celebrated 1991 record. Others have already written entire dissertations about this revolutionary LP. I don't promise this is going to be the most definitive and thoughtful review of this record, nor am I anywhere close to being the first or last indie nerd to ever champion and fanboy over this goddamn masterpiece of its genre, but I do wanna talk about how I myself personally experience Loveless.
Funny enough, my favourite memory of listening to this record (which I've been loving since 2015) was actually when I was dog-sitting for a friend's mom at her house in 2018 during the early autumn. The dog herself even seemed to wanna dance with me while I was spinning in little circles to the rhythms of "Soon". I think that's the season when I enjoy this record most - probably a mix of the coolness and crispness of the autumn breeze, and wearing the same kind of cozy sweaters that the My Bloody Valentine members are wearing in like half of their 90s photoshoots.
Okay, enough chitter chatter. Let's get into it.
"Only Shallow" is one of the most iconic album openers of all time, period. Instantly overpowers the listener with those first few overblown snare stabs before exploding into a pounding noise pop delirium of screeching banshee guitars. Letting up only slightly for the verses, where Bilinda Butcher describes something sweet, soft, and warm, in a brazen contrast to the blustering razor guitars that are unleashed after each verse. This track most perfectly encapsulates a pervasive trend across the rest of the album, wherein the sonic mosaic of textures can be described paradoxically as both cushiony and razor-sharp at the same time.
Lyrics and their delivery will continue from this point on to be every bit as textural and vague as the music itself, creating abstract entities that are transient and androgynous. Indeed, I struggled a lot on my first few listens to discern which tracks were being sung by Bilinda and which were Kevin or the both of them. Bilinda recalls that she would often take naps in the studio when they were recording Loveless and would do her vocal tracks soon after being awoken, which lends itself to her very tranquilized delivery in which I feel like I can picture the drowsy bags under her eyes in some of these songs. Likewise, most of this entire album is best appreciated in a half-awake mental state, even more so than other dream pop / shoegaze records.
"Loomer" is the dark underbelly of Loveless, like listening through the old floorboards of a basement ceiling to sounds of the band playing a live house show in the living room upstairs. It's a grainy, gloomy bed of sound that feels as though it could be physically slept on if desired.
I have no idea how many actual layers of track recordings went into the concoction of the heavily experimental "To Here Knows When", but it feels like hundreds. This song is a whirring helicopter blade of thousands of little sounds, scattering everywhere until it creates a thick, opaque, sparkling lilac mist that obscures the upbeat melody that's utterly buried in the fog of noisy drones and distortion. The mastering sounds as though you're listening to all of this happen through a small tubular opening in a giant glass wall, as if all of the tonal anarchy is happening from the other side, perhaps in another dimension. For a bonus observation, this one in particular sounds even more unreal and transcendental when you're tired as fuck on an early morning bus ride after a night of zero sleep (Don't ask me).
"When You Sleep" is probably My Bloody Valentine's most acclaimed and influential song. That de-tuned, icy, fluorescent glowing pop melody motif is seriously addictive, and it sounds almost deranged. The heavily compressed drumming provides the propulsion needed for a track that feels like its intensely vibrating every last quark of matter in its audible vicinity. I really have to remind myself that these crazy sounds are being made by guitars with effect pedals, and not with synthesizers (or, as the meme goes, vacuum cleaners).
The record really crunches in on those guitar textures with "Come In Alone" a track that you'll be hearing echoing in the back of your mind long after its finished (note: this record is NOT recommended to those especially prone to having tinnitus). This track is like all of the blood rushing to your head when you would hang upside down from the monkey bars as a kid. It feels intoxicating in the best way.
The band takes an unsuspecting turn for gut-punching emotions on "Sometimes", likely the only song with a more or less discernible lyrical theming on the record, about sharing intimacy with another person and the insurmountable fear of isolation from someone you love. The timbral effects are applied minimally on this song, but the dozens of recorded guitar tracks drone in a wondrous hum that resonates with the vibrations of a lonely soul. Usually, I'd say this is my favourite My Bloody Valentine song, though "To Here Knows When" and "Only Shallow" occasionally compete for the number 1 spot as well.
"Blown a Wish" is cool, dreamy shoegaze that fizzles and melts in your mouth like an ice cream soda. Pure pleasure is the best way I could describe its sensation, with all of its rippling, neck-tingling guitar effects that dance in and out of the foreground. Alternatively, this is like being high on helium and having so many butterflies in your stomach that you actually start to feel like you're levitating in a luscious trance. Delicious song.
The record closes with its poppiest and most accessible number "Soon", a mix of comparatively light shoegaze psychedelia and alternative dance beats that sounds enormously sexy. Evokes psychoactive substances, gently swaying hips, and grassy fields filled with buzzing fireflies. A very stylish way to end the record and solidify My Bloody Valentine's status as indie music legends.
What Came After That?
Loveless was a certified gold commercial success, about on par with the success of Ride's Going Blank Again, but it was also purportedly so expensive to make that it bankrupted the Creation Records label (serves you bastards right for making Oasis happen) and caused the band to be dropped.
I honestly kind of laugh to myself whenever I think of Alan McGee's pompous ass looking at the numbers and having a panic attack, almost as much as I laugh when I remember how Catherine Wheel gave him a big fat "NOPE!" to being signed after he pestered them. Have I mentioned I really don't like Creation Records ways of doing things?
*seething* ANYWAY, My Bloody Valentine basically disappeared for the rest of the 90s. Members moved on to different projects.
And then, after years of teasing a third record, the band's self-titled mbv was finally dropped in 2013. This one seems to divide fans a lot more than their other records; it wasn't as universally received as the Slowdive comeback record a few years later. This one is arguably more experimental than Loveless, and there's even a couple of tracks with some DnB influence. I think all things considered, it's a pretty great comeback record. I think many folks were probably expecting a Loveless 2, and it probably helps that I didn't even listen to this band before the new record came out, so I had no expectations built over years for this record.
There is allegedly a fourth record (and possibly fifth) LP in the works, but Shields has been teasing at it for years now, and its sort of becoming a running joke in the shoegaze community that we're gonna be waiting another five or ten years.
But hey, good work takes time. After making a record like Loveless, I personally think you've earned the right as an artist to afford yourself all the time in the world. I certainly wouldn't know how the hell to follow upon something that masterfully crafted, and some bands probably wouldn't even try to.
But besides all that, Loveless speaks for itself. It is a singular album experience. Nothing really sounds anything quite like it, to the point that newbies often getting into shoegaze for the first time with this record often lament the fact that the scene is not full of other records sounding just like this. It's for this reason precisely that, if you are totally new to shoegaze, I don't recommend this as a starting point. A lot of other great shoegaze records are unfairly compared to this record a whole fucking lot, and it can have a spoiling effect for some folks. But not every shoegaze band should sound like My Bloody Valentine, or have a Loveless in their discography.
But, at the same time, holy crap this is one of the coolest records of all time and if you haven't already heard it by now then you're doing yourself a huge disservice by not listening to this some time in the next week at the latest. Loveless is something that every fan of music should experience at least once, and there's only a handful of albums that I could confidently make that statement for.
So, yeah. Go listen. (✿ ᵔ ᴗ ᵔ )y
10/10
Highlights: "Sometimes", "To Here Knows When", "Only Shallow", "When You Sleep", "Blown A Wish", "Soon", "Come In Alone", "Loomer", "I Only Said"the

Yesterday I saw a comic saying that basically gen Z has a variety of hyper specific clothing styles for teens and young adults to express themselves in while millenials only had "emo" and I resented that so much for some reason? First of all it's completely false, it just so happens that emo was the most "online" style of alternative fashion and therefore the most documented imo. It also happens to be the style of later years millenials, who are the link between gen Z and millenials, thus cementing the "online" and most visible part of the trend. But please, I didn't go through all the phases I went through as a teen to be erased like that. I'm too lazy to find pics for each item of the list but off the top of my head, growing up in France I personally had these phases:
Y2K streetwear extremely influenced by hip hop and R&B with a touch of futurism in there like tinted frameless glasses and the like. This was almost always styled with a middle part for girls, and extremely flat, straightened hair. It's making a big comeback right now, mixed with elements of 80's fashion, and I love seeing it.
The whole Skater aesthetic with big Van's and Buffalo shoes, loose cargo pants, flannel shirts over t-shirts, lots of bracelets you'd never take off even in the shower. I exclusively wore bikini bottoms so that the bright color of them peeking out from my loose pants would match the rest of my outfits and it's a miracle I didn't get a yeast infection per week, somehow.
Goth, goth has always been there in all of it's iterations. There was a time when boneless corsets were so casually mainstream you could find them in many stores and you bet your ass I was getting my hands on as many as possible. I was the romantic goth with the long skirts and the corsets over mesh tops. We didn't have Hot Topic but we had Claire's, and it had a lot of goth stuff back in the days.
Punk, I would call it light punk or commercial punk, Avril Lavigne and the likes. It's kinda adjacent to the skater aesthetic but you would see a lot of tartan miniskirts over pants, and belts, and ties, and safety pins. I would DIY a lot of clothes by painting them too (with song lyrics), fun times.
Hippie: lots of "harem pants" and shawls wrapped around the waist and handmade jewelry with beads. Very music-festival-white-citizen-of-the-world cringe but hey, it was what it was. Now my siblings are 4 years younger than me and they experienced the Emo days. but never partook. They also lived through the weird "mini-adult" phase of fashion where everybody dressed super boring like jean T-shirt and ballerina flats, and were either carrying their books in their arms like they were in a teen movie, or only using longchamp bags (or fake ones) on the shoulder. Another regional variant I got, as I lived in Southern France, was the cagole (bimbo) look, but it's pretty specific to where I lived and is kinda timeless since I keep seeing women of all ages rocking it proudly: basically loud animal print, loud makeup, and fluorescent colors matching in at least two items of clothing/accessories. I cannot express how much it delights me when I seen an old woman at the beach dressed like Fran Fine enjoying her tan and not giving a fuck. It's amazing. Anyway, millenials of all background feel free to add to this post with your experience of alternative fashion as a teen.

Hiya, hope you're having a lovely day^^
Haven't done one of these before, so I hope I don't mess up (And that my request is still valid in-terms of the event end date).
I'd like to request a yan. mash up for TWST & ObeyMe!
I'm 18, my pronouns are they/them, I'm a Cancer and INTJ. I'm a pretty anxious person. Having social anxiety, agoraphobia, being a homebody and just being an overall introvert, I tend to keep to myself and avoid going outside much. Im an over-thinker and a night owl. When I'm around people that I don't feel comfortable with, I'm very much a quiet, shy, jumpy, awkward, paranoid, tired lookin' loner. But when I get comfortable and l'm with close friends or family, I'm quite the opposite. I'm bold, sarcastic, and have a witty sense of humor, I’m a cocky little shit that likes to tease the hell outta people (obv because that's how I show love ^ ^) | can also be reckless at times given the right environment. But aside from that I’m a pretty chill person. I love to learn and indulge in other people’s interests. At times I can be extremely overconfident and daring yet insecure and cautious^^ im also really loyal to everyone I care about, I value community and trust, caring and supportive, the list goes on. As for some of my (debatably) negative traits, I can be quite blunt and straight forward (I don’t like sugar coating ), defensive if I’m proven wrong, I can occasionally be indifferent, passive aggressive, reclusive and aloof if I get pissed/sad (even if it’s for something small). I’ve been told i have rbf •_•). I like cleanliness and neatness, but I can also be somewhat messy when I procrastinate cleaning. Hobbies: I love drawing, I have a crap ton of sketchbooks that are filled with drawings front to back, and some that have never seen a pencil before ^^; (I have my fair share of twst and obey me fan art =w=). Reading, reading, and ReaDing! I’m a book worm^^ i mostly read horror, thrillers, and mystery novels. Also, I’m incredibly obsessed with gothic literature and poetry (I’m a bit of a writer myself). I live for horror! Movies, books, shows, etc. I specifically like psychological, cosmic, and gothic horror. Music wise, I listen to rock, metal, alternative, indie rock, post-punk, and new wave. Though I’ve recently been more into 80’s post-punk (as of right now my fav band is Caifanes, definitely recommend them). Style: I don’t usually care much for the way that I look, i prefer comfort over style most of the time. I usually ware black, anime t-shirts, baggy jeans, leather jackets or oversized hoodies, and my go-to converse or docs. I dunno what else to include, so I guess I’ll talk about what kind of person I like. I like it when people can be honest and voice their feelings, concerns, wants and needs. I definitely appreciate a proper and mature way of communicating. My receiving and giving love language is quality time and physical affection, so having someone who loves to receive and give both is an immediate green flag in my book. I personally like clingier personalities to a healthy degree, I swear ^^; I definitely love people who are openly lovey and romantic, I find it adorable, especially cause I’d do the same right back. A person who loves to try new things, and who loves spicy food (cuz being a picky eater,,, that’s a deal breaker). I like someone who shares my same hobbies and is just as ambitious as me. And if not, that they at least support and encourage me to do what I like. Personality wise, I like a person who is soft and caring, romantic, honest, noble, creative, humble, cautious, a night owl (so that me can both stay up late into the night) someone more mentally stable then me (that or just as mentally unstable as me =^=) and lastly someone who would also indulge in my hobbies with me. I hope I added enough of the right things for this request and that it’s not confusing >x< it’s long I know. Anyways, thank you so much for your work, I love everything you write, hope to see more of it. Take care love ^,^)/♡
I have no words to explain why this took months. I don't know, but better late than never. . .right? You probably heard this before and it won't come as a surprise but I match you with Idia (TWST) and Levi (OM!)!
When it comes to what I gathered from your personality, you probably relate to them more instead of simping but I see you with them! Side note, I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND OMG YOU SOUND SO COOL?? I ALSO WANT TO SEE THE ART PLS! PLS LET'S BE FRIENDS!
Moving forward...I see how they would both love you. You love their hobbies but understand them like nobody else. With Idia, his love for you starts when you start to open up about your hobbies. He probably starts to think about you but not in the best way at first. When he notices you like the same things but he probably wouldn't see them as a reason to get closer. He may find it as an excuse to not approach you because he's not sure if you're a casual fan or a fan-fan. Would you be disgusted with him? Find him as one of those cringe fans who bring the fandom down. Are you a casual enjoyer who wouldn't understand his passion? Though he would love to share his passion, would you look down upon him like everyone else? I'm not quite sure if I included this in my headcanons, but Idia is an observer. Which I think makes him open up to you because he can see the real you. I want to say that if we follow the story of the game, you probably don't meet Idia until after you established some friends with Ace and Deuce. He probably has some image of you already established, no doubt you're very social. When you mentioned how you were someone very shy and quiet when first meeting someone, you probably do it to be nice or at the very least, respectful. He probably sees that side of you at first and doesn't think much of it. He probably thinks that his likes and dislikes would scare you away until he overhears maybe Deuce or Ace talk, "You like that? I never would have expected you to like that, [Reader]?" That's when he gains a little boost, you like the same thing he does. Not to mention you're a shy thing, so no harm in at least trying. I think once he finally does talk to you, he can see all the unique things about you as well as how similar you both are. Idia is the same, spoilers for the phantom bride card but he hated the whole ordeal. In his vignette, the rest of the students hyped him up so much that he kinda got overconfident making everyone regret saying anything. He didn't do it to be a bitch, but rather he said it because he was comfortable around the others. Who wouldn't? So he would return that sarcastic humor. He would probably love teasing the hell out of you. Stay up all night gaming with you, exchanging messages left and right, etc. I can already imagine the list of recommendations that both of you exchange. He would love seeing your art and hype you up, maybe even propose writing a story together. Of course, this is yandere so what is yandere without the horror aspect? Idia wouldn't exactly show you off but he would be so content with calling you, his. His friend, his S/O, his partner, his gaming buddy, etc. He's not like Leona who would strut into the room with his arm around your shoulder, but he would love it when you say, "Oh yeah, sorry I can't tonight. I'm hanging out with MY partner tonight." Of course, don't tell the others it's him because right now he can't handle that feeling! He would love spending quality time, he's not at all picky with what is being done as long as it's with you. Watching anime together? Done deal. He's gaming and you're working on something else across from him? God imagine he looking up to see you so focused, he just smiles lightly at the idea of you spending time with him and then you look up and see him. His face is BEAT RED, stuttering and looking back at his PC while his headphones have his online friends yelling at him to pay attention and to assist them. He's clingy to a not-so-healthy degree and will often set up scenarios to gain pity so you have to cancel and hang with him. I want to say that while his heart cannot handle the affection IRL he would love the idea of holding your hand and cuddling against you. Imagine he's pouting because he maybe received the worst news, but you're there to comfort him? His world is perfect if your attention and affection remain on just him and him only.
Okiedoki, now Levi. They're the same but so different.  As I started to play Obey me again and literally from the beginning, I love their family dynamic. Though they all love each other, they're not afraid to tell each other their faults either. I think with Levi it's no surprise that he sees himself as inferior to his siblings. I mean Mammon is scummy but he's a model. Asmo has a vlog and is well-loved even if it gets to his head. Satan is hella studious and has a temper, Belphie is just there and Beel; he has a good heart but his stomach knows no bounds. No need to point out Lucifer, he's polished and pristine, with no flaws that he can vocalize without being strung upside down.
I mean why would you want to be with him? Like Idia, when he finds out you like the same content he does he's probably on the skeptical side as well. I mean, really? Do you like that? When he finally does talk to you about it, he wants to prioritize your time. "[Reader], did you want to-? Oh sorry, you probably already have plans huh?" It's no doubt he assumes you rather want to do anything else other than be with him. When you take him up on his offer, he's so overcome with joy. A blush on his face as he excitedly takes your hand rushing to his room to do the equivalent of setting up the table but rather dinner, setting up an anime marathon. He is smitten with you, another one with a not-so-healthy clingier personality. Another one who just wants to spend time with you, it doesn't have to be anything specific either. I think as time goes on he can become confident too, sometimes even challenging you, He becomes sarcastic, occasionally laughing at memes and sending them to you with a simple "reminded me of you". I think the biggest thing is that Levi could be 100% honest with you. At first, he may not want to voice his feelings, but when you reassure him, he just lets it all out. Though Levi may not love horror himself, he loves your style and appreciates your passion as well. He thinks you're so cool and to be able to stand next to you, gosh you have ways of getting to him. He would proudly march his ass to a movie theater to watch the scariest film as long as he can hold your hand during the entire movie. Let's talk about yanderes, he's the same with Idia where he would 100% say something that forces you to drop what you're doing to spend time with him. Another is, I like to think Levi has been on some sketchy websites, spreading rumors about people who approach you. When those rumors as well as "proof" start circling, you should stay away from them. I stand by the idea that the brother would help one another to keep their S/O trapped. Levi may ask of Asmo's services when digging up gossip and possibly Belphie's to stalk the victim in their sleep and torture them from the inside. While all this happens, Levi will continue to play the role of the perfect boyfriend.
I hope you enjoyed your matchup!! Thank you for your continuous support, have a wonderful day!

Hi, I really hope this doesn’t come off as rude because I don’t mean it to be! Just a thought about your last post. I love the enemies to lovers vibe but from personal experience, punks and metalheads aren’t generally two subcultures that butt heads? In fact, there’s a lot of overlap and understanding between the two and they don’t tend to be very judgmental towards each other in a general sense, ofc this doesn’t include issues person to person. Unless there’s more context there for Eddie specifically to hate punks that just wasn’t mentioned. Generally punks and metalheads are 🤝
Hey there you're right that punks and metalheads generally aren't enemies now. My post is based off other people's experiences of the subculture in the 80s where they actually did have a bit of tension as they were both alternate groups emerging, some metalheads in the 80s thought that punks were piggybacking off their style. This is not to say that they were all like that at all and today they're much more friendly to each other. If you've got more research from the time period I'd love to hear it, I've really liked punk Steve lately so I'd love to know more about it.
See: The Battle of Los Angeles which is where a large amount of the discourse of punk's and metalheads happened in the time period.

i love ur art sm there are not enough jancy stans !!! 25,11,8 for the art asks? sorry if you’ve already answered these!
Thank you so much and you’re right there are not enough of us. It’s definitely due to Jonathan not being as popular as say Eddie or Steve (which makes me sad). Lucky for you, I haven’t answered any of those questions yet!
8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in?
Back in 2021 I vowed to draw a piece of Emily of New Moon fanart every year but I missed the drawing for this year and I still kinda want to do it but at the same time its a piece of media I have only a slight interest in now. Maybe one day.
Also a bunch of original character stuff. I love the ocs I’ve made but I am not much of a writer and if I do go back to them, there will be so much stuff I’d want to change.
11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what?
I usually listen to music while I draw. It’s mostly 80s post punk, new wave, and some more modern alternative music sprinkled in. Occasionally I’ll play music that fits the mood of what I’m drawing as it helps me get the right energy for the piece. I’ll also sometimes put on a YouTube video, a tv show, or a movie in the background but that ends up distracting me.
25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by
I’m actually not sure but once my style got compared to vintage cartoons which is something I can see but I wasn’t inspired by them initially. My style is very much inspired by anime as I spent most of my early teens reading and watching shoujo manga and anime.
Thanks for the ask!
Edit: forgot the link of my reblog of the questions

Ok, so if Shun is an MCR enjoyer (insert good for her GIF), what other bands and styles would the other brawlers like? I think Julie would be all about Scene Queen and Alice has listened to Rammstein at least once
dan and marucho are both canonically into idols (jenny & jewls) so i think they'd be into groups like akb48, snsd, 2ne1, and other female idol groups. you know they were busting their ass to i got a boy. i think julie would also be a fan of idol groups.
julie i think would also be a pop music girlie lol. top 40, indie pop, k-pop, j-pop — all of it. britney defender and gaga enjoyer one hundred percent. marina's electra heart was a formative experience. she enjoys a bit of everything, though!
it's runo who i headcanon to be into more alternative and punk music. hole, green day, the cure, björk, talking heads, nine inch nails, 2000s alternative including acts like fall out boy and my chem, all that stuff. also those 70s and 80s rock songs that dads love so much. casual queen fan as well. i think shun would have similar taste as her.
alice i headcanon to be more of a classical music person. chopin, shostakovich, rachmaninov, all that stuff, chopin's nocturnes especially. i also think she'd be a fan of ballad, soul, gospel singers with crazy vocal ranges. whitney houston, celine dion, destiny's child, adele, alicia keys, leona lewis - those kinds of singers. runo gets her into more alternative stuff.

Grunge: Putting Seattle's Alternative Scene on the map
The name of this blog comes from 2 main places. The first being that I wanted to discuss a broad scope of the extremely varied music that falls within the alternative genre. The second is that I generally refer to myself as being a part of the larger alternative scene as opposed to any of the specific subcultures, because I'm familiar with, and draw from quite a few of them. With that however comes a lack of full immersion in any of the subcultures I draw from, which, yes, has always bothered me. As such, I invite you to join me as I dive deeper into the history and evolution of one of those scenes: Grunge, or grunge-punk.
The scene started in Seattle, Washington in the 80s, with bands like Mr. Epp and the Calculations, Green River, the Melvins, and Soundgarden. Eventual "face" of the genre, Nirvana, started in the late 80's too, but they and the rest of the bands initially had a different sound than what became popular in the 90s. At its conception, the sound was a more direct fusion of first wave punk and metal sounds, featuring lots of "distortion, feedback, and fuzz effects". Lyrically too, these artists (mostly) pulled from the counter-culture themes in punk and in the city itself. (Seattle was very involved in the hippie movement of the preceding decades, as well as other "outside the norm" groups.) This can be seen especially well in Mr. Epp and the Calculations' Wild Youth On Money.
youtube
This sound would begin to change in the 90s as some bands dissolved and others took an interest in going in different directions or became more focused on "making it big", which many of their older fans would probably call "selling out." Nirvana's breakout Nevermind in 1991 was actually a shift towards pop for them. Compare Nirvana's Anorexorcist from 1987 to songs like Come As You Are from 1991.
youtube
youtube
The origin and attitude surrounding the term "grunge" is debated. Some argue that it started with Mark Arm of Mr. Epp, prior to the band's actual existence, stating that the band was "Pure grunge! Pure noise! Pure shit!" Others claim it came from the record labels like SubPop promoting the music of bands like Green River and Mudhoney, though it still possessed a similar tongue-in-cheek, snarky, self-deprecating essence. While it was likely originally a cheeky inside joke-descriptor that was proudly used by the bands, with the shift in sound and increasing popularity that occurred in the 90s, the attitude towards the term changed. According to some, many bands saw it shift from "descriptor to ultimate promotor," while others saw it as a term used in popular media to codify and incorrectly group basically all the young bands from Seattle at the time without much regard for actual sound or culture. Given the history popular media has with oversimplifying and/or misnaming counter-culture/underground movements that gained traction (see bboying/breaking to break dancing, etc.), I'm more inclined to believe the latter was the majority, particularly among those involved in making the music from the beginning.
Still, as it so often does, the short, popular name stuck, and is still being used. And, whether intentional or not, the promotional aspect of the term took root. The practical, "just what we were wearing anyway" clothes that many of the bands wore became the 'look' or the style associated with the genre. The combat boots, flannels, old clothes, beanies, and longer, kinda greasy hair were not meant to be a statement like the attire of many punk and metal bands had been, but it became one anyway as bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam gained popularity.
Many of the original artists involved in the scene collaborated and regrouped when bands dissolved or individuals found their interests aligned. For example, Green River (one of the first bands in the scene) split into Mudhoney and Mother Love Bone due to goal differences. In the split, Mother Love Bone picked up Andrew Wood from Malfunkshun, who's unfortunate passing led roommate and Soundgarden vocalist (and rhythm guitarist) Chris Cornell to join them & recruit backup vocalist Eddie Vedder to pay tribute to Wood. The product of that collaboration (known as a supergroup) was called Temple of the Dog, and although Cornell returned to Soundgarden, Vedder ended up joining Mother Love Band which became Mookie Blaylock, and then Pearl Jam. Credit to Jacklyn Grambush at culturetrip.com for detailing that chronology. The point of me sharing all that is 1) I think its a wild ride of events, and 2) it illustrates both the supportive, collaborative side of grunge, and the uneasy pull between fame/success and staying "counter"/"underground" that existed in the scene.
youtube
Today, the genre has been expanded to include a variety of artists from the same time, and with a vaguely similar vibe from all over. Bands from outside of Seattle like Stone Temple Pilots and Bush received especially harsh criticism. This does feel rather 'gatekeepy' to me, which I tend to take issue with. However, given how far abstracted the music was and how commodified the term had already become by that point, I do kind of understand the frustration.
In essence, grunge is not necessarily dead, but it has been mutated into something only tangentially related to the original. Whether that is a problem or not I leave for you to decide.

This looks like some sort of wild character arc and on one hand it kind of is but on the other hand I didn’t become a full time Spotify user until mid 2019 and I had a full blown identity crisis for all of 2017. But now that I’m thinking it out in previous years I listened to pretty much everything big-umbrella alternative so what you can’t see in these graphics is that this is really a journey back to myself.
Some fun stats:
- There are twenty artists represented in thirty top artist spots. The Wonder Years is ranked most at four years. Future Teens appears in three, and Hot Mulligan, Sufjan Stevens, Stand Atlantic, Frankie Cosmos, and Daisy the Great all appear twice.
- There are 22 artists represented in thirty top track spots. Seven of these artists are not ranked in any year: Bad Bad Hats, Julia Nunes, Local Natives, mansionz., The 1975, Wilson Phillips, State Champs, Waterparks, and Heart Attack Man. The Wonder Years and Daisy the Great have three ranked tracks, and Frankie Cosmos, Grayscale, Hot Mulligan, and Future Teens all have two.
- Of my top artists, I’ve seen nine live: Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, The Wonder Years (x9), Daisy the Great, Soccer Mommy, Future Teens (x5), Hot Mulligan, Origami Angel (x4), and Sincere Engineer. If including unranked artists with top tracks I’ve also seen State Champs and Heart Attack Man (x2).
Some fun facts:
- I went to a historically women’s college 2015-2019 and it shows
- I have absolutely no memory of ever listening to Frankie Cosmos. I didn’t at the time either. Tbf i did get sober in December 2019 but I was literally so shocked they made the top 5 twice lmao
- an honest to god catholic monk who found me on Twitter randomly mailed me free tickets to a The Wonder Years show in October 2019 and future teens opened and I had never listened to them but I was so captivated by their performance I immediately bought a ticket to another one of their shows 3 weeks later and the whole ordeal changed the trajectory of my entire life
- my car only had a CD player until 2019 so I very stubbornly listened to the 150+ CDs I kept crammed in every crevice of my shitty and beloved 03 ford focus (mostly mixtapes I made myself using youtube converter). I insisted this was the only proper way to listen to pop punk and emo “for the vibes”. When I finished college I treated myself to a new car stereo with bluetooth and the car ended up dying 4 months later. Current car is 10 years newer and came with Bluetooth. I miss the intentionality that came with burning CDs. 80 minutes of music arranged to play in a cohesive order. I still make Spotify playlists this way sometimes, but it’s not the same. I was also, just, like, admirably committed to completing a time-consuming task solely for my own enjoyment.
Some more fun data:
- My top 2 songs this year both had more plays than my top song last year
- I also track on last.fm and my top artists #5-7 were all within 50 scrobbles of one another (Hot Mulligan, Heart Attack Man, Spanish Love Songs) but there’s a 500 scrobble cliff after that
- every single one of my top tracks was in a different order for the same time period on last.fm
- similarly my top genres are very different between Spotify and last.fm for this year but I think they just categorize music differently
Anyway if you’re still reading this concludes me being insufferable on the internet for at least a few hours

Various Artists - A Whole New Sound
Do you all remember the Punk Goes series from back in the day? Those were all the rage back in the 00s, especially the Punk Goes Pop series. They aren’t as popular anymore, but they’re important compilation albums that made alternative and pop-punk fans feel cool by listening to pop songs done in the styles of their favorite bands. They were really nostalgic for people, even if they felt a little dated by the song choices being of the time, but they were fun. A few months back, Disney announced their own — A Whole New Sound. The Punk Goes compilations were under Fearless Records, hence why Disney couldn’t just use the name outright, but this is basically just a Punk Goes Disney record. With only ten tracks, it’s a bit of a lean record, but that’s not a bad thing at all. If anything, it might have been a better idea to have a small number of songs and artists, just in case the album was a flop, so they would know not to make any more. I was eagerly awaiting the album, because the few songs that were out from it were quite good, especially Magnolia Park’s cover of “I2I” from the Goofy Movie, but I was eagerly awaiting the other songs, too.
The album also featured a nice mix between legacy bands and newer acts, such as Magnolia Park, Meet Me @ The Altar, and LOLO, whereas bands like We The Kings, New Found Glory, Yellowcard, and Simple Plan, among a few others. The songs they chose were cool, too, being a good mix of songs from the late 80s to from a few years ago. Songs from The Little Mermaid to Encanto are here, so it’s a good selection of movies, versus only having the biggest movies represented. Only having ten songs is good, too, because they can save more big hits for later compilations.
I’ve given this album a handful of listens, and honestly, it’s a solid album, but it’s also exactly what you think it is — a Punk Goes Disney album. I don’t listen to a ton of covers, let alone Disney songs, but I love a handful of bands here, such as Boys Like Girls, Yellowcard, and Magnolia Park, and their covers are among the best. Most of these are what you expect — Disney covers done in their respective styles, but that’s about it. Some songs are given a punkier and more alternative outlook, but most still stay in the pop realm, although they’re not bad.
I don’t think anything here is even bad, but a lot of the stuff here is uninteresting, at least after multiple listens. Plain White T’s covers Encanto’s “Surface Pressure,” and while I like it more than the original (I just don’t like most of the music for that movie), I don’t mind their version, even if it’s nothing special. That’s also because I’ve never particularly cared for them, and that’s the biggest takeaway — if you don’t like some of these bands, you won’t care for their covers, especially since they perform these songs in their usual styles. That’s not a bad thing on its own, but if you wanted something more, it may be a bit disappointing.
Some covers are a lot of fun, but others just feel like they did it for the check, while still being just fine. I’d recommend this if you want some solid Disney-fied pop-punk songs, and if any of these bands are ones you love, it’s worth hearing, but don’t expect to have your mind blown to smithereens from how unique and crazy this album is. I like it, especially a few songs, but it’s nothing that I’m dying to go back to. I listened to it over the span of a few days, and I noticed that my desire to keep listening to it kept fading a bit more each day, because it’s essentially a novelty kind of album. They’re great if you enjoy whatever niche it is, but if you don’t, you won’t get too much out of it.

On their blistering new single, “She’s so American”, Reclining Nude peels back the packaging of modern life and holds it up to the buzzing fluorescent lights of the neighbourhood bodega.
Lunar Tantrum - Devil mirror dopamine
Release date: Mar 21, 2023
Released by: Lunar Tones
Genre: Classic Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Indie Rock
Lunar Tantrum are a Swedish/Australian rock band founded in Gothenburg, Sweden in late 1991. Richard Reynolds (vocals & rhythm guitar) and Christer Lindbladh (drums) met and started writing and playing songs in Gothenburg, Sweden in the summer of 1991. By winter the same year the group expanded to include Peter Clarin on lead guitar and Torbjörn Antonsson on bass. This line up has remained constant until now although keyboardists Charlie Storm and Matti Ollikainen have both contributed to the band's recordings. Musically the band fuses elements of sixties pop and psychedelia, folk rock, seventies hard rock, progressive rock, garage rock, punk and new wave. The band worked extensively on songwriting, recording and playing live between 1992 and 1998 when they took a lengthy hiatus until 2016.
Missiles to Malta -  Television Music Genre: indie rock / indie pop / power pop Vibe: upbeat, energetic, driving, happy Located in: Bethel, CT Sounds like: Strokes, early 2000s rock
Missiles to Malta is an original four piece indie rock band with post-punk ambitions from Bethel Connecticut.  Devin (guitar / vocals), Steven (guitar), John (drums), and Pete (bass) got together in September of 2021,  and have been blasting their blend of power pop and post punk influences around Connecticut ever since.  They just finished recording their second EP to be released this spring.
You can expect nostalgic details and driving guitars to come out in full glory on Missiles to Malta’s newest power pop single ‘Television’. Their use of radio vocal effects sets an interesting tone midway through the song. The vocalists has a terrific voice well suited for this bands focus and I thought the entire project presented itself with valid attributes. There is an energy here that isn’t over bearing or hard core, rather smooth and refined rock n roll like ‘The Strokes’.

Blog 18—Interviews with Punk clothing people
Q1: When and why do you wear the punk clothing?
Q2: What the signature features of the clothing you wear? (colours, style, assessories, etc)
Q3: Do you wear the clothing because you identify with the culture it represents?

1.well, I love the music and the mindset, initially it started with me liking the fashion but it became more about the lifestyle and nature of the clothes (such as ethically buying and diy)
2.I wouldn't really say there are any? I wear a lot of black but even then I wear blue denim and camo as well and I have studs on my battle jacket, aside from that there's nothing too specific I just go for a bit more of a scruffy/crusty punk look with all the different patches and also random trinkets I add to my clothes like spare nails/screws or just bits of anything really
3.I identify with the culture of working/lower class struggles and left wing politics and anti authoritarian attitude that go with punk due to how I was raised and how I see the world. I dress this way because I like it not so much because it aligns with punk, but I like to incorporate the elements because it expresses how I feel and my interests.

1.I wear this because I identify with it. It's just the way I feel the most comfortable, and I like that it's just not conforming with the rest of the society
2.koI think it's mostly a political statement with patches or rivets
Often, the colours are black, red, silver, and stuff.
I like my hair in a mohawk and colourful hair. But Punk isn't just the way you look. It's an attitude of life.
3. Yes, totally, but it's not a uniform. It is a way to express yourself
@scabby.stilts
1. Because I love the style and giving my own twist to it. And to be honest, I also like the weird looks I get from people. I pretty much just dress like this on my days off, but also at work I'm step by step trying to push the limit of how punk I can dress.
2. I copy a lot from the most common 70s and 80s punk, but the things that I like to add to that are jumpers I knitted myself, tropical flower hairclips, and shirts of un-punk musicians like Prince or the Beach Boys. And the fun part of that is that it annoys some punks and other alternative people. But after all you're supposed to dress how you want no matter what people say :)
3. Yeah I really do. However, I don't have it in me to be an anarchist/activist. I'm not sure how much that was part of it in the 70s and 80s, but it's a huge part of the scene here in Amsterdam now. I support a lot of what they stand for, but i think im too much of a softy haha. Or just a different age category, I don't know. They're all 16-21 and I'm 28. I'm personally just in for the music, dressing how you want, using your own creativity in your style and the shock value.

What are the animatronics' music preferences?
Freddy: Oh I enjoy a wide variety of genres. Usually I stick with some kind of alternative-indie, pop, or EDM. One of my favorite bands is Red Hot Chili Peppers!

Chica: I LOVE music from the 80s, or has that vibe to it! Like workout music! Songs you can get your body moving to! Oh especially synth-pop and new wave type music! I love A-ha and Duran Duran! Oh! I also love a good musical! Little Shop of Horrors, Heathers, Sweeney Todd, they are all so awesome to listen to and I will be singing them all the time!
__________________
Roxy: I'm more into the metal scene. Screamo, post-hardcore, grunge, things like that. Avenged Sevenfold and Sleeping With Sirens are some bangers! I'll listen to Three Days Grace at times too. Alt-rock is also something I'm into.
__________________
Monty: I really like folk and jazz music mixed in with rock or alt-rock. Also swing music at times. My go-to band to listen to is Poor Man's Poison or Bid Bad Voodoo Daddy, but recently I found The Devil Makes Three and that band is really cool so far!
__________________
Sun: I usually listen to instrumentals or video game music! Things I can play in the background while doing things without getting too distracted by the music! Whenever Moon plays a game I'll listen to the soundtrack and pick songs I like that show up to add to a playlist. I really like the Bugsnax soundtrack and also the music in Just Shapes and Beats! I also listen to classical music from time to time, mainly piano like Beethoven.

Moon: I don't know... I just hop from one thing to the next. I don't care too much about what is being played. I'll listen to country, fold, hardcore rock, death metal, lullabies, EDM, anything really..... Though, I have been drawn to more uh... messed up music recently. Things with disturbing messages and themes, kinda like horrocore or something I think. Bands like Will Wood, Dr.Steel, and Creature Feature have been in my music rotary recently.

DJMM: As HARD as it may be to believe, but I like EDM haha! Electronic music has always been my favorite! Dubstep, electronica, House, EBM. Oh! Actually, I do also like industrial music! Which does have electronic properties to it, but it leans more towards rock and punk! It really is an aggressive style but in a very good way! My preferred bands right now are I Will Never Be the Same and Circle of Dust, but I'm sure it will change soon enough considering I was just listening to Celldweller a whole lot before finding those other bands!

Mapbot: I have been informed by the DJ that my music taste is known as glitch, breakcore, or experimental. I listen to two different artists when given the chance to request a song. They are as followed: Nero's Day at Disneyland and Lauren Bousfield.

[Had a lot of fun with this! Found a lot of new music to listen too as well! Since Bonnie and Foxy aren't here to answer, I'll answer for them.
Bonnie liked swing and jazz music along with classical. He listened to people like Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. Though he would happily listen to other genres as well, but he never cared much for EDM that was way too electronic. Like he can stand Daft Punk but not so much someone like Skrillex.
Foxy, like DJ, is pretty obvious in his choice of music. He loved sea shanties, but would also listen to acapella. The Longest Johns and The Jolly Jogers were people he loved listening to because of how they sang sea shanties. He definitely did also listen to musicals with Chica though! The two of them would sing for hours, especially duets.]
