#payneland #edwin x charles #dead boy detectives #dbda #pre canon angst brought to you by the weirdo who's always drawing post canon fluff #something about oral tradition and old timey slang #i took quite a lot of decisions with this one so buckle up #first of all the female ghost keeps edwin's eyes color because there's still some truth to the legend #the background is the same shade of green to reference hell #just like it is when he's having his flashback #alive charles is dressed all in black because he's not a happy boy #i also made it so that he grips his clothes when his mate punches him even as it's intended to be friendly #because well #these people will end up killing him so it's less friendly when you remember THAT #charles obviously doesn't mean anything by the mary ann comment #he doesn't know the slang meaning and just blurted out what he remembered from the legend #he will find out reach some conclussions and go punch a wall about it probably #about edwin tho his escape is still very recent and he didn't expect this #but even so early on he knows charles means no harm and allows himself to be comforted #it wasn't intentional but hey edwin shruggin off charles' touch is a good parallel to that one scene after charles “kills” the night nurse

He says “hey try this game I've been playing.” I say “Okay!”#I have never heard of this game. I pick the mercenary. I go through 5 min of character history and background. I am mauled to death by dogs #It took me 4 resets to even get in the dungeon. But I finally get there. I am caught by a guard. He cuts off all but one of my limbs #I am forced to crawl around in a blood and corpse pit until the game tells me 'give up idiot'.#I reset. I am mauled by dogs again. I realize this is not for me but I am intrigued enough to go home and watch some playthroughs #And WOW what an interesting game it is! I really do appreciate games that blend their design philosophy with the theme it wants to set #This is a game about fear and hunger. And persevering. And penis (my god is there a lot of penis)#I recommend this to people who like extremely challenging games and can handle the many *content warnings* within this series #If the idea of Bloodborne/eldenring and undertale having a little RPG maker baby sounds appealing to you - give it a shot #It's made by ONE GUY and it's a great horror game. I am just really bad at it.#My friends just enjoy putting me in situations where I scream and yell. We don't talk about the corn mazes. Or the other horror game nights #Apparently I'm funny when I'm Scared!#As people who follow me on twitter might know; I am deep in the pits of this series right now. I will be back with more art.

Desperately want to learn more about pizzaplex owner michael AU but I do not have coherent thoughts more than “bark bark chewing on drywall” so I guess I will just ask: how does he become the owner?. Is Fazbear Ent. Already building it and he takes it from them? Does he build it himself? Can you imagine these construction workers are like “we’ve not seen the guy who ordered this building to be made but it’s finished so now we get to meet the guy” and then . Then they see . They see Michael

My timeline for it isn't entirely hammered out just yet, but it jumps from SL straight to Security Breach. The events of Pizza Simulator still happen, but just without Michael's direct involvement (nor molten freddy :)). The puzzle pieces sort of just fall into place, being blood related to one of the original founders and all. "Did you really think this job just fell out of the sky for you?" Yes, actually. Michael, due to his physical condition, often opts to use a middleman in physical communications, or a phone call in place of face to face meetings. This middleman, although the position has shifted hands multiple times and still does depending on the day, is none other than Jeremy. It's worth noting also that at some point, in the amount of time between 1993 and SL, they got married :3. I try to silently include mentions of this in their designs. In my "canon" timeline, however, Jeremy's design takes a major depressive shift with Michael's ring hanging on a necklace :( But to properly answer your question, Fazbear Entertainment was already building the place, and Michael offered to run the whole place since they hadn't found a proper manager yet and not many others would step up to take on a project so ambitious. He much prefers to keep to the shadows, avoiding social interaction if possible and will often remain in tucked away offices, far from the public eye to watch over cameras. Optimally, he leaves just before night shift; the place is closed, no patrons about, so Michael can freely roam about without the fear of someone seeing him that isn't supposed to. This also coincides with the end of Jeremy's shift, so that they can leave together.

Just me and my overactive mind facing the nighttime again 🙃

#hopefully the meds work but while waiting for them to kick in I get so damn nervous #and sometimes I do get nights where even on my full dose my anxiety is too overpowering and I just. Do Not Sleep #I mean I do eventually but not without spiraling first :')#way before I was prescribed sleep meds my longest was 3 nights without sleep while on a VERY stressful trip #I felt like I was gonna die and I did not sleep until I got off the plane and was back at home #(this was like 15 years ago already but it still haunts me fhfgsgdh)#my best friend and I were having a conversation today #and she was like 'not sleeping can make you hallucinate right?'#and I was like :') I get the hallucinations in other scenarios too #BUT I also get what she meant #not sleeping is really bad for me mentally which is why I can't do 'sleep restriction therapy'#and fun fact #a lot of my OCD obsessions revolve around sleep!!!#which is 'awesome' because laying in bed with insomnia makes my OCD flare up so like #the two get to feed off each other and make my life a living hell!!!#and don't even get me started on my sleep paralysis episodes #(which I like to think of as just my brain misfiring but that my aunt tells me is saints or demons trying to talk to me)#'cause she hallucinates too but hers are like 'spiritual' or whatever #same with my mom's hallucinations as well #and to add fuel to the dumpster fire of my mind and body is the fact I've been overcaffeinating again #which I've known not to do ever since I was in middle school and saw the pediatric cardiologist who specifically said 'hey don't do that'#fast-forward to adulthood and I still haven't learned how to handle anything #like. I have heart meds and sleep meds and migraine meds and IBS meds #and yes meds are good but like. I know you need to incorporate lifestyle changes as well #which I do for like 2 weeks until the next time I fuck up #I've been so irresponsible lately but like. ESPECIALLY today #didn't eat #took some meds on an empty stomach and forgot to take my other ones at all #had too much caffeine #stressed out over some stupid situations thanks to overthinking

3.40 i woke up bc i was cold and needed to pee and now i can't fall back asleep i keep thinking of the people i accidentally ghosted. is it ghosted if there was no intent to ghost? i feel so bad and it's not even like i don't think about them i often do think "i should really reply to them... once this is over ill properly sit down and write them... " and then i don't bc something else happens and im dealing with that and the longer i leave it unanswered the more difficult it becomes because i feel so guilty and therefore want to do things properly not half assed but bc i feel so guilty a part of me also tends to avoid it even more. if i do this to you just know i'm really sorry and ill get back to you i swear

something to be said abt a foster pleading for anyone to adopt their extremely sweet and playful disabled tabby cat for over a year with absolute Crickets in response vs us making one post at 8pm with a frankly very poorly taken photo of a cute no-personality fluffy white kitten we have (who's not even been here 3 days!) and we have 45 comments within the hour and three of our adoption people with their phones blowing up

#i say something to be said but its been said before #its so weird how much value people put into the look of an animal vs its personality #look i love this kitten as much as the next guy but like. i dont know her #shes not got much going on and the only thing that sets her apart is her looks #and i know people will be throwing themselves at us to adopt her #but when we respond to the 15th app we got for her with 'hey you werent first but heres other options'#i already know theyll back out bc they couldnt get the shocking beautiful kitten they wantef #because it happens all. the. time.#we had a tripod siamese thing a few months ago and she got an application the night she was posted #and about 7 others too before we took her photo down #and the first person in line took her not necessarily bc she was perfect #but because she was good and wow what a beautiful cat everyone will be amazed by her!#whereas if they were there and met a tabby wjth the Same Exact Personality #and pros and cons #they wouldve moved on bc its just a tabby and theres no motivation to work with the animal #because it doesnt look pretty or unique #its been said a thousand times over by people way more articulate than me #but its so frustrating to watch it happen over and over again #we have mini aussie pups (aka longhaired chihuahuas with mearle color) who had adopters ready before they were even fixed #but when the millionth sweet baby pitbull puppy comes through theres no response #or when a senior fucked up chow chow is found as a stray people are biting at the bit to be approved to adopt it #but when those same people are asked if they can take in a young farm dog from a hoarding situation #they ghost us #shelter posting
