3) Are they open about their relationship? How do they feel about public displays of affection?

Define open. Post-Westview and the Hex, it feels very awkward for Wanda to be so public about being in a relationship with Agatha. Even in a world where those things didn't happen, Wanda's not the sort to be super public about those sorts of things or super into extremely blatant public displays of affection. We see this with Vision - not just due to the secretive nature of their relationship as detailed in Infinity War, but also in WandaVision - most of their displays of affection are in the privacy of their own home. Agatha, on the other hand. Agatha is definitely much more public displays of affection. She understands Wanda's particular concerns when it comes to not being open, but she wants to be able to kiss Wanda whenever she wants, to notice when her girlfriend is being particularly anxious and draw her down just enough to kiss her out of it, to cover her hands with her own and squeeze them as a physical reminder that she's there if Wanda needs her. Wanda likes the quiet moments of comfort. She's startled by Agatha kissing her so blatantly and desperately in public, and she doesn't ... hate it but ... definitely they have a discussion about what she's okay with in public and what she isn't.

7) What annoys them the most about their partner? Would they change it if they could?

See above. XD Okay, that's not the thing that bothers Wanda the most about Agatha, but it's definitely one of the things she doesn't like. The thing that annoys Wanda the most about Agatha is how Agatha not even in a derogatory way keeps bringing up how much Wanda does not know about magic. Like yes. Wanda understands that she doesn't know much at all, if anything. She acknowledges that. But it frustrates her that even while teaching her, Agatha will come across something she calls the basics that Wanda somehow still doesn't know and makes a comment like you really don't know anything and then proceeds to tell her what it is, which is great and all, but it's really fucking frustrating! She's not sure she would change it, because she knows Agatha doesn't mean anything by it, but like. There has to be a way to make Agatha understand that no. She does not know anything about magic. Nothing at all except what Agatha has taught her. Eventually, she'll quip back, If I don't know it at this point, that's your fault, but she hasn't gotten there yet. (Agatha will acknowledge it is her fault, and then she won't say it again. Wanda will feel bad. This will fix nothing.) Agatha dislikes Wanda's superiority complex. Which Wanda doesn't really have mostly but certainly does when it comes to Agatha. Like, sure, Wanda might have been corrupted by the Darkhold, but she didn't kill her mother and her entire coven. (And if you don't think Agatha had the Darkhold then, you still get hey, even when I couldn't control my powers, I didn't kill my loved ones like somehow that is better than accidentally blowing up a building or joining Hydra.) Wanda frequently has a tendency to see herself as morally superior to Agatha, and it really pisses Agatha off, and yes, she would definitely change that. She doesn't want Wanda to feel inferior, but she wants Wanda to see her as an equal. And Wanda doesn't. (Which is probably why she keeps bringing up how little Wanda knows about magic. It makes her feel like she has something over Wanda; it gives her something to remind Wanda that she isn't as perfect as she thinks she is. (Agatha is aware Wanda doesn't think that she's perfect and that this assumed moral superiority is just a defense mechanism. She's three hundred years old. She's seen this before. That doesn't mean she has to like it.))

8) What do they like best about their partner?

Wanda likes that Agatha isn't afraid of her (or her power), even when she's wary. Wanda likes that Agatha never holds the death of everyone around her against her, doesn't consider it (or her) a bad omen. Wanda likes that Agatha is human and flesh and blood and warm where Vision was metallic and oil and cold - so cold - likes that Agatha is flexible where Vision never was, likes that when she presses hard into Agatha's skin or sucks at her neck or bites her lip, she can leave marks to see later (bruises, hickeys, split lip). Wanda likes that Agatha isn't the only vulnerable one in their relationship and that Agatha isn't afraid of that vulnerability. Agatha likes that Wanda is willing to learn runes and incantations from her, even though strictly speaking she doesn't need any of them. She likes how frustrated Wanda gets when something doesn't come easily to her, how Wanda persists in learning the hard thing no matter how frustrated she gets. She likes how Wanda hasn't given up, after everything that has happened to her, after how the world has looked at her and twisted her and stolen from her, and yet Wanda is still here trying. She likes how persistent Wanda is. It makes her want to be better. (She will not be better.)

26) How do their friends feel about their relationship? Their families?

Well, both of their families are dead (as far as we know, unless they decided to throw Nicholas into things or bring Evanora or Pietro back, but we don't know that yet, so), which means I guess we can't really know how they feel! This is probably a plus. Pietro would probably be suspicious, and Evanora would not support her daughter dating the Scarlet Witch. Agatha's friends - the ones who are still alive anyway - would probably also be wary of her dating 1) the Scarlet Witch and also 2) the woman who locked her inside of her own mind for a while, literally forcing her to be tortured indefinitely. They will be suspicious that this is just another one of Wanda's spells, and then they'll be suspicious that, if it isn't, this is less a relationship and more Agatha making sure that Wanda likes her enough to not do that again. It will take a while for them to come around on Wanda, but it's not like Agatha particularly cares what they think. They'll all die soon anyway. She's outlived so many of her friends. So many. And the only one whose opinion she actually cherished is dead. So. Most of Wanda's friends in the Avengers are gone. Not necessarily dead, but gone. Sam seems to have forgotten that she exists, despite their training together, and everything she did in Westview tends to have distanced everyone from her. They haven't come to look for her, and if the events of DSMOM are canon here, they.... Well, she's certain they don't want to. It's likely that the ones who are left will look on her relationship with Agatha as just another indicator of how far she's fallen - if she'll date the woman who apparently tried to kill her before and who practices dark magic and was the previous holder of the Darkhold, then...well, that fits with how Wanda's track record seems to be going. They certainly don't approve, but that...isn't their Wanda anymore, and they're certain she wouldn't listen if they tried to help.

44) Are they comfortable with each other? Anything they have to have their privacy for?

I think they're as comfortable with each other as they can be, considering everything that's happened between them. They try to trust each other as much as they can, but they still keep their thoughts private. Agatha still keeps the basement to herself, warded as a protection so that if she needs a place to hide, she has one, and now that she's taught Wanda the same runes, Wanda has a place much the same for herself (likely in the attic, since Agatha took the basement). It isn't even that they're trying to hide anything, but that sometimes they need to know they can be free of each other if they can. It is impossible to forget what they have each done to each other - Agatha did try to kill Wanda, and Wanda did lock Agatha inside herself for an indefinite period of time - and those things don't just go away now that they're in a relationship with each other. Those wounds are still there. So, yeah, they're not entirely 100% comfortable with each other, and it'll probably be a long time before they get there, if they get there. That sounds unfortunate, but it's still true, and it comes up in arguments every now and again (which usually leads to Agatha conjuring a mattress in the basement and staying there while Wanda sleeps on the couch alone).

How do u think the order sees kiran

I think Kiran is a very normal person. This is someone you and I have met before. Be that from the other side of grocery store cashier, waiting in the same elevator, or walking by on a crosswalk. Kiran is a civilian from our world trying to roll with the punches of being warped somewhere completely alien. And you can see it in how they conduct themselves.

I always have a lot of fun writing Kiran’s dialogue because their casual modern speech almost feels like a dialect in comparison to the more formal fantasy tone everyone else speaks with. An “ain’t” will never exit Alfonse’s mouth, you know? And there’s a difference in “Do you have gold?” vs “You got gold?” To me, this gives Kiran an air of unfamiliarity to anyone they interact with. Let’s use Grima as an example, because it doesn’t sound like this grammatical change would make much of difference until Kiran has the audacity to hit Grima with a bro mid sentence. But that’s just how they talk. And as sweet and friendly as they are, there’s always moments like that to remind that no one has the cultural context to fully understand Kiran. Except for the audience, who can realize that Kiran let the customer service voice drop to talk to Grima like he’s an actual person.

And that’s just about how they talk! This view is only emphasized by every other thing about them! They’re a lovable goof, which is normal chill person behavior in the audience’s eyes but feels REALLY ODD to the characters of FE’s medieval fantasy war setting. There is this air of unknown about them that the more socially perceptive will pick up on and will try to come to a conclusion about. Example, I imagine Soren would interpret a lot of this as a dangerous and deeply annoying lack of intelligence from someone he has the displeasure of sharing a tactics table with. Or looping back to the Grima example, he would totally think Kiran has greedy ulterior motives behind that pleasant facade. It takes a lot of work for those types to realize that the discrepancy present isn’t really any of those things. But I also wouldn’t be too surprised if Kiran doesn’t try to directly prove any of those assumptions wrong unless they have to.

Why? Well now it’s time for the implications! Oh how we love the implications.

Because the Summoner is a different story. No one has any fucking clue what that is.

I can tell you what Kiran has pieced together so far. Summoning people from across time and space is apparently not easy. It’s not some school of magical study that some mage could pull off with enough time and research. Trust, Eitri tried. It’s a lot of complex moving parts. For example, the contracts. The contracts Kiran automatically binds their summoned to don’t even compare to the ones Veronica used in book 1. They are far more intense and infinitely harder to break. The only way out of them is if Kiran wills it so. Not even death is an option, because Kiran can come in for the revive. If they had to guess, it’s an older, more completed version of the art. Something lost to time. But no matter the case, Kiran has the ability to take full control of whoever they manage to summon. From a lowly farmer to the divine. And their power only grows.

In a similar vein, if there was any character to canonically see the hud, I think it would be Kiran. It’s genuinely part of their power set. I have previously described Kiran as the party mage until Veronica shows up to be the actual mage, but it would be way more accurate to call them a mystic/seer. They see the map, everyone’s stats, and is doing a fast amount of math to give the combat forecast. Then, upon processing all this information their enemies couldn’t dream of having at their disposal, Kiran can telepathically communicate any change in plans to anyone under contract. Kiran is not inherently some great tactician the moment they touch ground in Askr; they simply can do things no one else can. They’re learning the actual tactics part on the fly. This makes them simultaneously the largest ace up the Order’s sleeve and potentially its biggest liability. If they fall, it could cause a whole system cascade. By that same token, some of the biggest threats the Order has faced are the ones who do their research and rightfully target Kiran.

Now. Thinking critically about all that. That’s downright terrifying. A ridiculous amount of power has been dropped callously into Kiran’s lap and they have to work extremely hard to be moral with it. It’s terrifyingly easy not to be. It would actively take less effort to ‘take the reins’ as it were. But in order to be able to sleep at night ever again, they go the extra mile to not invalidate the will of their summoned. To take over like that. To make a colony of worker bees out of people. Because oh dear god they just summoned a child and the fact that they could easily force them to fight and die for them, only to be revived and do it all over again, is HAUNTING. No. No the Order has an in house orphanage now. This kid is getting adopted and cared for god damnit or Kiran might just pop a blood vessel. And sure that child is going to be a child and there will never be a world where they get along with everyone else, but that’s just going to need be a problem they address when they get there and not an excuse to use Hubris; the power set. Now replace the word child with everyone they ever summoned and you have the wider philosophy they apply to the entire Order.

They’re hyper aware of the power imbalance. They hate it with every bone in their body. They work really hard to correct it in whatever way they can.

So Kiran might not jump on the opportunity to correct those who think lesser of them. It’s… oddly comforting to know someone is keeping a critical eye on them. Holding them accountable. Especially since so much of the order just thinks of them as this quirky yet well meaning host. And, really, what can they even do about that? They have gone over the contract with every hero they summon and despite that they still choose to stay. So, what, do they try to inspire more mistrust? The problem with that they would have to actually do acts that intentionally inspire mistrust. And even if that was successful they can’t just waste the extra man power because every other month there’s some new divine asshole who wants them all dead. And if they fail that means they have to start their life from square one and god they can’t do that again so—

Just breathe Kiran.

It’s fine. You’re fine. Just breathe.

You have work to do.

omg this 😭 i saw a tiktok about how the smallfolk liking alicent and helaena was ‘propaganda’ because they didn’t pass any laws like alysanne or rhaenys the conqueror did. did they forget the 20 years of alicent being queen in times of peace? the people of king’s landing see the royals and create opinions about them, they know helaena is kind and gentle and alicent is wise and pious. the smallfolk of king’s landing celebrated helaena’s birth, wedding and children for sure, they know her, and knowing about someone’s life for years makes them dear.

how is yassified emps with his custodes?

Oh a very fun one! This kind of comes in layers

Very attached to them for sure!

They’re kind of the closest thing he’s ever really gotten for stability tbh, and he tends to cling to that pretty often, though not all Custodes are held in the exact same regard.

Most majority of his custodes it’s a very formal, mostly, connection. There is a sense of unspoken closeness but with a deeper understanding that outward expressions of that closeness are unlikely and rare if happen at all.

When you narrow it down to those who spend most of their time about holy Terra you get a bit lighter of a relationship and closer even If there’s still that silent understanding of formality to it. You do get to see Emps lowered walls a bit though if you’re lucky!

Now, more of his PERSONAL personal guard, like those who are around Emps next to 24/7? That’s where the fun begins. They really tend to get a lot more of that closeness and have that formality (varying but still) lower, you kind of range from standard custodes unspoken formal closeness, to being kind of his confidant and on occasions a care taker and sometimes little pup that gets scruffed and carried about (when Emps is especially broody and missing his sons-) to be shown memory lane amongst other things (it’s a bit rare for him to be so outwardly affectionate, normally you’ll just get given a nice meal or some old archeo-human gift emps either made or has kept around if he really likes you, but not unheard of-). They really just kind of get further exposed to the Emp-isms and little habits he feels more comfortable letting show when he’s not playing emperor of all man kind, see him much more as human than many other people get to.

Really all and all it entirely depends on the Custodes, the situations they wind up in and so on, lotta factors into emps lowering his walls even if only a little and to growing attached. You might be around emps as much as you can kind of squeeze out and he just never latch onto the personality or whatever, and you can have a Custodes around emps every so often and he just grow a soft spot for you. The inner machinations of his strange mind are an enigma

The parts that are tough... I think they're exactly the ones people would expect tbh 😂 It's absolutely the coloring/editing of the gifs and then just the amount of time that it takes to make them. idk that people really understand how long they can take sometimes.

the struggle is real to get these scenes visible! and making sure I'm not washing out the characters of color when trying to brighten things or making sure I'm not accidentally oversaturating everyone and turning them all various shades of orange. getting the lighting of differently shot angles of a scene to all match together in a gifset when they absolutely don't.

but it's so worth it for me cause I just have fun making gifs! there have always been moments prior to when I knew how to do this where I would be searching around trying to find gifs of something specific (not necessarily just in this fandom but on tumblr in general) and they just didn't exist! I get to make them exist now! How cool is that??

My favorite part of actually making them is figuring out what moments I want to highlight or what part of a scene I want to focus on, zoom in, interrogate, or maybe bring to someone's attention for the first time even.

I also really enjoy learning new little tricks or effects. I haven't messed around too much with it lately (because again... it's time-consuming lol) but playing around with fonts or with different photoshop tutorials can be such a good time. This was a more serious set that came from that but even making goofy gifs like these:

this was just a big experiment trying to animate the words a bit and they're such silly little gifs with no real purpose but I was havin' a blast with it!

Hehe, no worries, I wasn't actually going to drink it, specifically because of the beer. As a teetotaling skeleton the beer would just flow straight through my ribcage to the floor and I would have to mob that mess. However the goat milk would get soaked up in my calcium-addicted bones, that's something I could at least give a try some day.

tim is exploring. i’d call it worship—and maybe it still is—but there’s something almost… calculated or scientific about it? he’s mapping out jason’s chest; every scar, stretch mark, freckle, bruise. he’s testing each inch of skin to see if any place gets a reaction from jason—and maybe after a bit just how it feels to him, which spot he derives the most pleasure from.
