Swordtember 2024 Part 1

Ok, new year, new challenge. Here are the rules I give to myself: 1. No thoughts, just look at the prompt and go. 2. 2 Hour time limit. You have a day job, girlie. 3. If it's bad, it's bad. If it's just not a day to draw, let it go. This is for practice and fun. 4. Give some backstory to your weapon. So here's days 1-5.

Day 1: Wings. It was truly a terrifying thing; ever shifting, writhing. “Be not afraid,” it begged. Honestly, though, how could I not be afraid of it? How could anyone? No wonder it has yet to find a master.

Day 2: Floral. Not to sound cliche, but he had always loved roses. Naturally, she wanted to honour his memory in any way she could.

Day 3: Cursed Relic. “Honestly, the most unsettling thing about it is how unassuming the damn thing was.” “It used to belong to a hero, right?” “Aye. He tried so hard to protect anyone he could… he couldn’t have possibly known he was their doom?”

Day 4: Divine Relic “It’s not much to look at, is it?” “Not really, no, but that is not the point—“ “And it’s broken.” “It broke dealing the killing blow to the Lord of Demons!” “I’m just saying, shoddy craftsmanship.”

Day 5: Edible

It was clear we weren’t going home anytime soon. We had to make do with what we could to survive. Candy cane, sharpened to a point. Gumdrop guard. My old scarf to stop it from sticking to my hands. Today, I killed someone.

It took me a while to understand that this guy is following you around. I thought the island was just full of fanatical lizards and I just happened to see one everytime I used spirit vision. "Man, there are so many fanatical lizard spirits here, and they all want me to go to a temple above the lava", I thought. 🤦‍♀️

I think Astarion enjoyers should check out Divinity Original Sins 2. Specifically Sebille. There’s a little bit of murder, a little bit of eating blood/flesh, both characters are trying to gain freedom from horrific abuse. Both characters are intensely sweet after getting to know them. Both elves kinda.

As I am currently using this mod to infuse my honour mode light domain cleric playthrough with some RP flavour, here's a makeup/tattoo breakdown of Isobel from the character creator because I've seen people be curious about it. Also because I Just Think She's Neat and I also find it absolutely wild of her to have her holy symbol tattooed around her eyes, including on her eyelids. Just Cleric Things(TM).

Anyway, I left her with the smudged runny messy makeup because, I don't know, feels iconic.

Some sketches to get a feel for my godwoken Vervennia, also featuring her namesake plant vervain and her love interests Fane and Gareth. I didn’t want to color all of it but it was very important to illustrate her blue hair!

She’s a conjuror who loves her little incarnates, as well as a healer and buffer. It’s going to be a long time before I get around to actually playing her, so she might end up with a broader skillset but my goal is for her to be a pure character who passes the Path of Blood and that’s fairly limiting so we shall see!
