When Regulus doesn’t respond, Lily looks up from her notebook only to find that Regulus isn’t paying attention at all. His head is turned, his attention entirely absorbed by something else. His expression is so delicate, Lily can barely look away herself.

Lily sets her pen down and turns her head to follow Regulus' gaze, and when her eyes land on James, standing at the front of the library talking to someone, Lily smirks. She glances back at Regulus, who looks absolutely starstruck. A slow blush creeping onto Regulus' cheeks when James laughs—that gorgeous laugh of his.

Lily clasps her hands and rests her chin on top of them. She stares at Regulus, unable to stop the smirk growing bigger on her face. Lily clears her throat and Regulus immediately turns to look at her, collecting himself as best he can.

Lily raises her eyebrows, “He’s cute isn’t he?”

Regulus looks horrified. He glances at James, clearly panicking, and then back at Lily. Regulus starts to shake his head, “What? Lily no, of course not. He’s your boyfriend.”

Lily raises her eyebrows again, because she just can’t help teasing him. She doesn’t bother correcting him about the whole dating thing. Lily hums and looks back over at James, who is starting to walk over to them. “Well yeah. But do you like him.”

Regulus opens his mouth to respond but James walks up behind Lily and his mouth snaps shut.

Lily looks over her shoulder and leans back with a smile as James leans down to place a kiss on top of her head, “We were just talking about you.”

“Oh yeah? What was being said?” James asks as he sits down in the seat beside Lily. Regulus is pointedly looking down at his lap, and Lily wishes he would look up. She’s almost tempted to reach out and lift his chin with her hand.

Lily shrugs, “Oh you know. Just things.”

Does anyone know how to explain to a young teenager with AuDHD that "yes, listening to other people talk is incredibly boring, and talking is very fun, but other people enjoy talking too and sometimes need a break from listening" in a way that sinks in without destroying their self-esteem because I'm out of my depth here

winter is returning to gaza which means white phosphorous acid rain, polio infected sewage flooding, and bitter cold with no shelter. tents are not enough.

siraj's family has 10 children in it, many under the age of 12, two newborns, and two elderly people who are susceptible to disease. his mother has diabetes, which anyone knows needs frequent monitoring and medical care. he and his family just recovered from skin infections and he doesn't want to see them suffer from all the disease the winter will bring.

siraj found a place to rent but its 1400 CAD a month. the lease lasts 6 months - he needs to raise $8400 CAD / $6253 USD as soon as possible before winter gets really ugly so he can secure his family's safety.

siraj is trying to rebuild his life. he doesn't want to let the zionist entity kick him out. he's staring this genocide in the face and telling them he doesn't care what they do, he's not leaving.

yet, he's really far from his goal. and things are moving really slowly. i don't know how many times i can repeat this same information. things change but the brutality of what they face stays the same.
