whenever i think about the bad batch i just get sad. it could’ve had so much potential. it could’ve fixed so many things. it could’ve fixed the whitewashing already going on in the clone wars, but instead it made it worse. it could’ve stopped the stereotypes of body types and facial features, but it didn’t. it could’ve had more expansion on characters with disabilities, such as echo, and how they live their life with their disabilities, but they just completely dismissed it and moved passed it like it was nothing. it could’ve portrayed black/poc characters, such as saw gerrera or sid, in a more positive light and show their truer intentions, but it just made them seem more violent. so many little details are so icky about it, it’s just sad. it’s sad because it had so much potential and only did more harm than good.

the characters are cool i guess and the concepts and the plot is cool but there were so many things just Wrong with it, it’s upsetting. and like… couldn’t they just have the decency to unwhitewash the characters?? it surely can’t be that hard… considering they’re a billion dollar company 😐

(regarding your last anon) i find it funny when people think you aren't criticizing other celebs like you are criticizing hl right now. it's the whole point?! you see them like the rest now. there's a reason why you (and the rest of us who seems to be the only ones left with critical thinking skills lmao) see them differently than we did a few years before. we used to separate them from other celebs and protect them at all costs because they seemed genuinely different, relatable, and down to earth. we used to find our queer experiences, struggles, etc reflected in their actions but right now, they seem just like the rest. maybe they were always a little bit like the rest and we didn't wanna see it/they showed it less bc they cared what we thought of them (i still think they were different). is it sad to see what they've become? yes. am i disappointed that they downgraded themselves to the level of other money-hungry celebs? absu-fucking-lutely, yes. can i do anything about it? no. i've accepted that they'll stay as the people who affected my life in many ways whom i sometimes just think about and deeply sigh. i am sad about the wasted potential and what could've been but since everyone is saying louis and harry are happy and we should take our trash out of the fandom, so be it. the "real larries" and "real supporters" of the fandom won't ever leave their comfortable bubble of happiness and will live happily ever after without our trash getting in the way. Yes to all this. I don’t care about Lorde but I cared about harry for nearly 10 years. I was such a huge and dedicated fan bc I believed he was a good person so seeing him become the mess that he is today has been a huge disappointment and yes I will call it out. I always thought hl would always choose their human side over fame and money and they’ve proven me wrong many times in the past two years. It is why I have decided to leave and be happy elsewhere but it’s also fucking annoying to see people act like all is fine. Larries used to be known for calling out the boys on their shit when they were being stupid as hell… There’s nothing left of that fandom anymore.
