So you joined him on the bed. You buried your face into his neck. You had to savor this cause most likely this’ll be the last time this happens. Also, you were too tired to freak out. You just wanted to fall asleep in his arms.

You can barely explain what happened after that. He hiked your leg onto him, still with his half open eyes, and thrusted right against your clothed pussy.

The next thing you know, he’s dry humping you. And then he’s fingering you. And finally he’s fucking you.

It felt good, too good.

But the morning after? You felt embarrassed. No way you just fucked him without even a first date. He’s gonna think you’re easy. He might even tell everyone that you are.

You told him everything, every assumption you made and every insecurity. You told him how you liked him but you knew he didn’t like you back. He sat there patiently, not speaking a word until you were done.

Meeting you in that bookstore was the best thing that could have ever happened to Spencer, the way your smile lit the room up when you finally found the vintage Vogue magazine you were looking for - he would never forget.

As he studied your outfit (more like checking you out), he realised just how attractive you were - wearing your low rise jeans, a belly button piercing with a playboy bunny dangling just above the button of your jeans, the leopard print crop top that barely covered anything, the way your breasts sat in your shirt and how amazing they looked, the massive platform flip flops which raised your height around 2 inches. He was absolutely smitten, and definitely staring at your cleavage for a creepy amount of time.

That’s why he made it his mission to speak to you, adjusting his coat slightly to make sure he looked tidy enough and slightly brushing his hair with his fingers, he strutted over towards you. Making his way over to you, just before he was about to open his mouth to speak to you - you walked away from him. You left him absolutely dumbfounded, his eyes following you over to the sofa that was hidden away at the back of the bookstore.

Sighing slightly (trying to get over the pure embarrassment he felt having the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen walked away from him) and collecting his thoughts on how he was actually going to speak to you, he saw you slightly laughing at something in the magazine in your hand. Quickly walking over to the sofa where you sat, sitting down beside you taking a glimpse at what you were laughing at - shoes.

“Can you believe this? They picked pointed-toe boots, the cutest shoe, how stupid is that?” Your voice filled with anger as you looked at him and pointed towards the article. Staring at you completely shocked with your question with no answer, you huff slightly, “Please tell me you don’t wear these shoes”. Spencer’s jaw drops a little at your statement, does he really look as if he would wear that? “No, I don’t wear them”, he answers you in a slightly confused tone, finally you look at him and you finally realise who you are speaking to.

“Oh my god!! You’re a man?” your eyes widening and your voice filled with a high tone. Spencer chokes on his saliva a little, looking down at the clothing he is wearing and looking back up at you. “I thought you were a woman, you know with the hair?” You say trying to justify your original opinion on the boy, giving your hand out for him to shake. Spencer looks down at your hand before looking back up to your face to see it covered with a massive smile.

And in that moment, he knew he had to have you, the way your eyes closed slightly and the way your dimples were on full show. Placing his hand in yours to shake, “I’m Spencer, you?”. Shaking his hand (probably too aggressively), “Oh! I’m Y/N!”, your voice is full with joy as you still continue to shake his hand probably 10 seconds more than you should’ve needed to. Pulling your hand away from his, you stand up and grab the magazine before turning back to Spencer, “Would you like to come meet my dog?” Your question made him smile, standing up to follow behind you as you both made your way to the door of the bookstore.

“Excuse me! Ma’am, you have to pay for that magazine!” the owner of the store shouts after you. Immediately freezing in your spot, you turn back and run towards the counter, pulling out your credit card (which was weirdly in your shirt), and paying for the magazine.

Standing at the door, Spencer was just watching you with such admiration. He already knew that he had to ask you to be his girlfriend soon, and now that he was already going to meet your dog, now he just had to figure out a way to ask you out to dinner.

- kenshi is a heavy sleeper. after moving in with johnny post-tournament he begins to unwind from his former unhealthy schedule that was supported by his yakuza lifestyle. johnny wakes up at 5 am to work out until lunch, and kenshi sleeps in til like noon or 1. johnny thinks its cute

- they either own a fuck ton of cats or ferrets. johnny seems like a ferret guy to me

- they like watching director's cuts of movies instead of actual movies because kenshi can actually understand a little more of whats happening while the directors explain certain scenes and go into depth about the composition and art direction. its a win win situation for both of them

- johnny actually reads a ton of books, but is embarrassed about it. leftovers from being a ""nerd"" in high school. kenshi thinks its adorable and he likes hearing johnny retell the book plot and express his exasperation with it unfolding as he reads

- johnny has a sweet tooth and kenshi has a more refined palette, he will try anything johnny sets in front of him though, even if he isnt much of a sweets guy

- on that same note, johnny is very good at cooking! every other night he plans a meal for them, and it's almost always a winner. lots of japanese style dishes (took some trial and error on johnny's part) because he wants to impress kenshi

- they go to red carpet events together after a couple of years of dating, but for a while they pretended (to the press, too) that kenshi was his newest bodyguard. rumors spread fast though and it ended up being a perfect time to let johnny come out publicly as bi

- kenshi's parents are actually very very supportive. i think he'd be nervous at first but his mom thinks johnny is very handsome and his father agrees its a good change for their family. kenshi has two sisters who absolutely raise hell over kenshi nabbing a sexy gaijin star and he is very embarrassed about it. much to johnny's delight

- they spend every weekend on the balcony of johnny's new loft in his jacuzzi just talking and being sappy. kenshi genuinely gets a lil upset when things come up and they miss their date nights

- kenshi proposes first, but johnny had been nervously trying to wait for a good time to do it himself. one upped. he is still very upset about this well into their marriage as old yaois

- even if he doesn't need it, its sort of a ritual between them so they never stopped; johnny is still kenshi's sight dog when they go out and he doesn't feel like relying on sento.

- sento's ancestors like johnny a lot and kept being annoying about kenshi needing to get hitched already hskw7kejej

- kenshi is achillean, gay. always has been. his arrangement with suchin was. arranged. and she was his lesbian beard for a while. the two are very very close and she visits their home often. johnny is trans and bisexual, but he's only out about being bi.

- johnny tends to have a really shitty sleep cycle, light sleeper, easily thrown into insomnia, the busy street life can really fuck up his routine when hes already had a terrible day. which ends up with the both of them on the couch, talking, watching a show, kenshi with his head on johnny's shoulder. they fall asleep like that 7 times outta 10

- the older they get the sappier and grosser they get . everyone who knows them hates their gay asses . jax and sonya included

- also they both get dad bods when they get older bc of all the good eating. neither are insecure about it. its hot

- kenshi is undeniably the spoiled one. gifts, fancy dinner dates, unrelenting affection and praise. he starts believing he deserves good things, that he is loved, solely by johnny's persistence with showing him instead of telling him

- cris ends up being their friend again after a while. i just dont like the cris villainization when its contrasted with johnshi support. she had her reasons to be upset at her alcoholic, spending-addicted husband, y'all

But first - this is probably my last Hazbin Hotel-related analysis until the next season; give me asks during this long dry spell!

I’m all for subjectivity. People can just like or dislike things regardless of quality. Heck, I know Helluva Boss is part of the Hazbin world, but it gives me too much cringe and vicarious embarrassment to handle.

But I keep hearing people say Hazbin Hotel is mid or just relying on hype.

Those are fighting words!

We are getting quality on par with Disney movies for a tv series!

That’s crazy! Let’s break it down.

Musical numbers

Talented singers play the main crew. Stephanie Beatrix plays Mirabel Madrigal, Kimiko plays Izzy, etc.

There were 2 songs per episode! And because it is truly perfect for a musical, we even get thematic reprises and callbacks!

Does anyone recall when similar things have happened in animation? MLP:FiM had a glorious episode that was ALL musical with a reprise. That’s all I have at this scale outside of Disney.

Characters

I’ve always known Vivzie to put thought into her work, and this shines through so well in Hazbin.

Lucifer’s depression is similar to my own

Angel’s gradual changes and struggles are realistic

Charlie’s breed of passion is the same as mine in my career

Alastor’s extremely manipulative yet we all love him

Velvette had one of the best formal character intros I’ve seen in a long time

Hazbin Hotel works really hard to get away from stereotypes, and dives in past superficial traits.

Also, we get things like Valentino sounding like he’s squeaking because moths squeak. We don’t need these things!

Animation

You know what else we don’t need?

Airplane arms!

Complicated dance moves!

Cute leg swishies with cuter sound effects?

Every second you see is 10+ frames traditionally. (Idk the studio’s technical details). That’s wild to add in these complicated extra details! And they flow so nicely! This level of quality for 2D (and honestly 3D too most of the time) is unheard of in the West nowadays.

And on that, western adult animated shows typically are so poorly made, especially in the art. Even the few I have seen that have okay stories to tell absolutely stink in terms of visuals and movement.

Story

Yeah, this is the biggest weakness Hazbin Hotel has, no doubt. The story is actually an incredible premise, and truly done pretty well within the awful time constraints. I think everyone is valid in saying it was far too fast! Hopefully we get more (or longer) episodes in upcoming seasons.

But at the same time, this is also the nature of musicals. If you think this is fast, don’t watch the Les Miserables musical where everyone only sings. Idk why, but singing the entire time makes everything seem like you’re in a race car on autopilot.

Don’t forget; the symbolism just drips out of the screen in this show. The fact that I could still do more analyses even now is a testament to that with all the content I have done since it aired. Vivienne goes hard on the details.

But put yourself in Vivzie’s shoes. You do the impossible, shot for the moon while hoping for maybe the top of a 5-story building, and you were offered the stars. Your project has been a part of who you are before you even went to university, and a major company gives you a way to bring it to life? Why wouldn’t you settle for this good of a deal?

Innovation

People do not bring up often enough that Vivienne broke a glass ceiling separate from that of gender. She showed that YouTube animations can be taken seriously, and even be aired.

In this age, the Saturday morning cartoon blocks I grew up with no longer exist. There were tons of great shows, and I could talk with other kids about it. Nestled within these weekends were shows that ran short pilot episodes for potential series. The last time I saw one was Adventure Time’s pilot.

It’s been a whiiiiiiile.

So having a cutesy little indie pilot animation amongst thousands on YouTube be such high quality and get a mainstream platform? Spindlehorse made history!

Moreso, Helluva Boss is also demonstrating the capacity of indie studios like never before - and what may pave the way for the future of animation too.

Out of all the animated series running on YouTube, Glitch is the only creator who does 3D that I am aware of. Even Glitch’s work has only started within the past few years, ie after Vivienne managed the impossible.

So please, stop complaining about subjective parts so much. Hazbin Hotel objectively has some of the highest craftsmanship in western animation.

We are blessed that Vivienne’s dream has come true in such a glorious manner. When I discovered her back in 2012, I couldn’t have guessed the pilot would be so successful, nor that it would change what was possible for animation!

FIRST NEW YEAR AWAY FROM HOME

celebrating new years somewhere other than his living room in sunset bird, surrounded by both your families, was one thing cove forgot he'd experience.

music plays softly on the speaker in the corner of the living room as he fiddles with the edge of the throw blanket on his lap. the new year’s celebration on the t.v. was barely louder; it was more of a clock rather than something you were actively watching.

you make your way over from the kitchen and almost immediately notice the way cove’s mind has wandered off somewhere. he turns at the sound of you and greets you softly, shifting so you can sit comfortably beside him.

it’s always easy to find your place in cove’s arms, and it’s like your own know where to rest comfortable around his torso. cove places his head on top of yours and you smile, despite him unable to see it.  "what were you thinking about?”

"hm?” he blinks slowly, as if barely registering the words. "oh, nothing really. just how weird it is that it’s just us celebrating together this year.”

"what? you'd rather reminisce about all our old embarrassing photos with our parents than spend new year's with me?"

"no, but they made a really good dinner, and it was fun not having to pay for it," he muses.

you laugh quietly but ultimately agree. it makes you think about your place back in sunset bird; your moms were probably getting their own celebration ready for the countdown, and you wondered if it felt even weirder for them than you.

"well, considering how many new years are ahead of us we should probably learn to get a little used to it,” you tease him softly before thinking out loud. "we can visit home for some of them though. stay for the holidays longer, maybe? depends on the hotel or if we could manage to clean up our old rooms since it could get expensive.”

it wasn’t a concrete plan, but it’s still unexpected how your idea is met with silence. you tilt your head upwards and call out, "cove?"

"yeah…" the one word reply has you moving to actually face him, and the sight of cove’s teary eyes takes you by surprise. he lets out an airy laugh at your worried expression before shaking his head. "sorry, you just—you brought up how we’d keep celebrating and…i don't know. i guess i forgot about that, and i'm just really happy we get to be together for it."

“cove,” you say with a pout. “i mean it’s true, we’re gonna have dozens of new years together. you can’t get rid of me that easily.”

it’s a lighthearted remark but cove still shakes his head, firmer this time, and sighs before saying your name. “i’d never want to get rid of you.”

he tells you plainly yet in a comforting tone, and you say nothing, only blinking at him in response. it takes a second for him to realize what he’s said, and cove becomes flustered as soon as he does.

you coo at the blush painting his cheeks, moving to cradle his face for a kiss. he whines your name when you pull away with a loud smooch sound. yet he can’t stop his giddy smile as you laugh and place more down his temple to his jaw. his hands move to rest on yours as you hold him, and he smushes his cheek against your palm.

he takes the opportunity to speak when you pause to look at him. “we’re gonna miss the countdown you know.”

“okay,” you say easily before placing another kiss to his nose. “this is more important. i’ll set the clock back 20 seconds and it’ll be like nothing happened.”

“is that how it works?”

“yeah, time zones or whatever. blame it on lag."

he snorts before wrapping his arms around you, leaning so you fall backward. he squishes himself between you and the couch, causing the both of you to giggle again. cove brings his forehead to rest against yours, and you think it’s a wonder how you don’t get lost in his eyes as he stares at you adoringly, even as you register the 10 second countdown beginning behind you.

cove brings his hand up to rub your cheek with his thumb, and his voice is gentle. “i love you.”

you have to bite the inside of your cheek to stop whatever cheesy love-sick grin threatens to appear. “i love you, too.”

the countdown seems to get louder in your silence. you know if you don't turn around you'll miss the sight of the fireworks, yet you can't pull your gaze away from your long-time neighbour and boyfriend—though you think it doesn't matter when he can't seem to look away from you either.

3…2…1…

the clock strikes twelve, and you feel the world shift in your chest at the thought of more years to come with the man you love. fireworks explode; cheers and hollering join the sound of them from the television, and outside as they fill the air. the lights colour his face in quick flashes from the window, but cove's aquamarine eyes never seem to change.

it's a new year, and you smile at the thought of beginning it here, this way. “happy new year, cove.”

cove holds you tighter with a smile, replying softly, “happy new year.”

1. How many fics do you have on AO3?

Twenty-six! Which I think is a bunch when not compared to insane people who right, say, a hundred twenty fics. Cough Mercy.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

179,826, though I will add since I got my start in fic writing quests on Sufficient Velocity, there's another 113.2K that's not on AO3.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

My tastes are as fickle as the wind. I am a wandering ronin writing whatever I feel like. I theoretically write RWBY but also haven't updated a RWBY fic since January. I thought I was done with Madoka fics but then I heard news about the movie and had no choice but to write Heartless. I've written 3 A Practical Guide To Evil fics over 5 years. Who fuckin knows with me?

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Breaking and Entering Your Heart (Madoka Magica) is, somehow, my most kudo'd fic of all time. I have no idea why. I don't think it's particularly good (not helped by the fact that I was like 16 when I wrote it). It's not even my favourite Madoka fic I wrote as a teenager!

Doka Don't You Know (Madoka Magica) is my favourite Madoka fic I wrote as a teenager. It's still kind of embarrassing for me to read back, but I do think I did good with it. The real embarrassing part is that it was inspired by me getting emotional listening to the Ninja Sex Party song of a similar name.

Drabble Roulette (Steven Universe) is sort of cheating, as it was a drabble collection I did with several friends, but nevertheless it's one of the most kudo'd fics I've worked on. We all did a short fic every week based on the same one-word prompt, and God we kicked ass.

I can almost hear the Hounds (RWBY) is definitely the one I'm most proud of. What if Ruby got turned into a Hound before V1? Well everyone would be sad, for one. It also holds the distinction of being the first time anyone's ever done a "Cast of [show] reacts!" thing to a fic I've read. Talk about an ego boost!

And my fifth-most kudo'd fic is... Actions, Consequences, and the Tragic Lack Thereof (Worm)? The edgy oneshot I did where a very well-adjusted Taylor uses Coil's power to blow off steam? Huh. Not either of my RWBY oneshots? Well I suppose I can't complain.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Not really. I try, but as I've said before responding to comments is my dump stat. I really do love everyone's comments, I'm sooo insanely bad at responding sdgsd

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

It depends on what qualifies as an angsty ending; most of my angsty fics have happy endings, with Heartless being the only one I've written to really contradict that. Blood, Blood, Gallons of the Stuff and Sometimes the only way out is as a carcass have the worst endings insofar as horrible fates, but I wouldn't really call them angst.

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably Trim and nothing else? It depends on how you define it, but I'd say that one.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not really, thankfully. I straight up can't remember anything of the sort lmao

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Boy, do I! Of the smut I've published, I'd say it's pretty varied? Some het, some gays, some ships and an OC or two... I've got the variety, baby.

10. Do you write crossovers? If so, what's the craziest one you've ever written?

Not really? I find they're usually more daydream material than hunker-down-and-write material, though sometimes I have no choice. I have a chapter or two of the most self-indulgent APGTE/RWBY crossover that I doubt I'd ever put out there on account of it having a target audience of exactly one. Craziest would probably be the Madoka Magica/Magical Girl Noir Quest crossover I wrote as a teenager. It's harder to get more self-indulgent than fanfiction of a fanfiction crossing it over with the source material sdgds

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I sort of vaguely remember this happening? I remember someone posting a really poorly written edgy SU fic that had the exact same premise as my slightly better written edgy SU fic and only updated after mine did.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not that I know of, though if anyone wants to please feel free.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Not really? The Drabble roulette is the closest I've come, and that was a bunch of individual shorties. Besides, I can't imagine I'd have a great time trying to fit my writing process with someone else (and I definitely don't think they'd have a good time trying to adjust to me lmao)

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

God that's tough. I'm not sure I can give a definitive answer here. I might have to say Madohomu or Midlink just because of how deeply they've altered my brain chemistry

15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Brother that is most of what I've written. I really want to get Tomorrow I'll be perfect and You waxen wing, you foolish thing done at some point, though I'm not sure I'm will. The Most Insane Girls On Remnant is a work so in progress that only one person knows it even exists, and if I could magic myself into fully writing one it would probably be that one.

16. What are your writing strengths?

If I could write an entire book of nothing but snarky narrators I would be a new york times bestseller by now. They are my bread and butter. Comedy in general, I guess, but that specifically.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Action scenes. Action scenes action scenes action scenes. It's not so much that I think I'm bad at them, more that they're just so hard for me. I could write a thousand words of most anything else before I write five hundred words of an action scene.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't super mind it when reading, but I can't imagine writing it. Maybe a word or two, but still.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I wrote down Madoka Magica at first, but now I'm realizing it was actually Warrior Cats, all the way back when I was a wee little child. I'm not sure if I deleted them or just changed ff.net accounts at some point, but I don't know where they are and I'm happy that way.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

I mean it's gotta be I can almost hear the Hounds. There's a lot of other things like (Aw Drat, Tomorrow I'll be Perfect, etc) but this one hold a special place in my heart. There's a reason I have chapter on pinned in my blog.

initial thoughts on DCAS episode 6

THIS EPISODE WAS SO GOOD!!! the fact that it was a musical episode is totally the cherry on top; i love it when series come with their own music (cough cough me @ project sekai). but overall it was also really funny, and had some great character moments, too.

i'll save my thoughts on strategy and where the season might be headed for my next power ranking post (whenever that is :,( ), but were some of my other thoughts/highlights.

specifically the phrase "fuck my life" and Yul saying it made me cackle. seems like Emily ISN'T Yul's manager, but she might still kinda take on that role this season? we'll see. the lack of phones is really having an effect on the plot.

okay, i guess i forgot to consider this angle when i was saying it would've made more sense for them to vote out Fiore. however, having started with 18 participants, the merge will probably happen at, what, 10 people? (modern Survivor describes the merge as "at least 11," but obviously this isn't survivor.) sure, Hunter is a bit of a challenge beast, but he can't protect all three of them every episode. if this trio is only 3/10 of the votes, you could literally split the votes on Ally and Tess in a 3-3-4 if you can get everyone else to unite against them. you know what you should be worried about? THE VILLAINS ALLIANCE HAVING 6/"10" VOTES AT THE MERGE!!! sigh. why am i relying on Jake to be smart (/j)

i'm more impressed that there was hot water in the first place. this thing is in the middle of a field, no?

i'm finally starting to see how Yul can be a hilarious "love to hate him" kind of villain. he had some of the best lines this episode hands down.

i appreciate the s1 callback, but Trevor doing this dance move gives me so much second hand embarrassment that i keep inadvertently closing my eyes every time i have to "see" it again. anyways, given how most of the episode songs had lyrics related to the Team's emotional state, it's interesting to see that Trevor is singing a romance song. trevek become canon pt 2?

this was an interesting parallel. with Kristal laughing at Derek's joke, it seems like they were trying to show how she's growing closer to Derek, in a way which Trevor might fear is romantic. were there supposed to be romantic undertones to Alec being the only one to laugh at Connor's joke? and, if there were, was that just a fun nod to the aleconnor shippers, or will it actually be canon/relevant to later in the season?

they were NOT lying, Aiden's VA is a great singer! Tom's backing vocals and Ellie and Gabby's harmonies(?) were also really nice too, though. this was probably my favorite song of the episode just bc i think Cyan had the strongest singers. all of the rocking, shoulder-moving dances are also impossible not to imitate.

well, there's the thumbnail. their choice of thumbnail made me laugh bc i remember, back when i was watching s1, seeing all the thumbnails of Aiden kissing both James and Hunter and thinking that Aiden was going to be some sort of troublemaking flirty antagonistic character only to be blindsided by his actual characterization. i'm sure the s1 watching me would have only added this to her arsenal of evidence, although hilariously idk if i would have been able to tell the other character was Tom at the time. anyways, i was pretty certain from the start that this must be part of the performance. although, while i'm happy that Aiden seems to think that James will be okay with the performance, i wish we could have cut to James somehow just to confirm that that was true. i don't want the next time we see James, whether in the finale or some other time, to show that he was actually really jealous and upset at Aiden for kissing another man while in a committed relationship. also gabbielle(?) super cute in the bg :D

i also really liked this song :D i understand why they made Jake and Ally the main singers, because they best encompassed what the theme of the song was about, but i think i actually liked Ashley's vocals the best. i wish she'd gotten to sing more. also for a moment i thought Marcus had a trans flag on his hat. it's still close enough. trans Marcus canon.

this was probably my least favorite performance of the episode, although idk how much of that was just how much i hate Alec's outfit. glassesless Alec scares me so bad... no hate to the VAs, obviously, i think they have nice voices! it's actually the way that they didn't sound like they had confidence in their singing abilities that made the performance feel a little shakier to me. i do think that this song had the best lyrics in terms of encapsulating each member of their team, though. i really like how Yul and Riya are the ones to sing "i'm going to chase it" as a duo, because they're the ones chasing fame and the limelight, and then Grett sings that she can't ignore it, because eventually she's going to have to realize that her entire relationship with Yul was a result of him clout chasing. Connor only singing "live in the moment until i die" is also very fitting given his placement... in both seasons. L.

really surprised that Riya (or anyone else) didn't even mention Yul's foot injury as part of this equation. Riya just said that she didn't want to lose any more challenges, and Yul's bad foot could totally lead to a loss. maybe i'm just overestimating the extent to which that foot injury will stick around, though.

season 2 characters are REALLY suffering out here.

Well sit me down and call me shocked….Not! “PLANNED HEADLINES” with Timmy and their PR Romance and getting in the way of her being with Travis? So the anon (who is most probably her PR team) are now implying through Deux that there is some sort of Contractual Business Agreement in place for the “Never existed” romance saying the headlines are planned with Timmy and his team in advance and she wants out? Don’t get too excited my loves incase you didn’t know Season 4 of her show was recently filmed and has a new premiere date of September 28. In recent articles it teases their storyline might be included (because does it mean anything if you can’t sell it?).This Deux blind could be another PR trick from both camps and her and Timmy turn up together somewhere finally in a clear photo. Timmy and his team need to read the room as he may as well hit the “detonate” button on his career if that happens. Timmy is ambitious and has played along with backyard, taco dates, driveway shots etc etc etc but from watching and reading these last few months it’s her and her family with their Social Media Power that has the upper hand in trade Media. IF blind is true he will continue his silence knowing she can bury him at anytime. He will also pop up for a staged fan photo in the next 48 hours looking like he never played along or gives a shit. If it’s a another PR trick for attention and they continue they will be seen together or more of her insider sources will let us know the blind is a lie on top of the break up rumors via more countless press articles………. Well! Well! Well! …….what did I just say…..Just as I’m writing this we get another blurry photo of them in France which fans are saying is also fake and Blurry of course. I’m pretty good at aping someone else’s style, I try to maintain strong character voices, I’m funny and people tend to like the ideas I have.

If I’m tired of a fic (not necessarily of the fic itself, but of writing it) I often do the bare minimum. Fuck you (marry me) strikes me as an example. People seemed to really like that fic and there were only one or two chapters left, but I had very little motivation to write. The final chapter was written essentially by pushing through until I’d finished it, and certain things I’d tried hard to do in the beginning (e.g. give harrow’s narration a very distinct and obvious voice) fell by the wayside in favour of getting it over with. https://archiveofourown.org/works/50096647

18.) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics?

Like it, will do it depending on POV. If the perspective character understands the language, i might write it in English for ease of comprehension. If they don’t, i might write it as is. I would usually put translations in the notes, but I don’t think I’ve actually had occasion to do it so far.

On AO3, Be More Chill in 2018. I will not link that, I refuse. (It’s on my page, but it’s archive locked.) In life, i think i was writing self-insert discworld fanfiction around the age of nine or ten.

But not very many people read it, I think partly because it’s a chunky beast to try and get through all at once. So many people have commented on that and for such short pieces, it’s a lot of positive feedback relative to the effort I put into them. Well, it is always crowded around here. Although the children have all kinds of personalities, everyone has a smile on their faces when they come here. That’s what I’m most proud of.

Yes, you got it right. Sunfields earned its name from the flower of sun… the sunflower. Every year, I grow sunflowers in my backyard. In the summer, when the fields of flowers come into bloom… they look very beautiful.

To make the children smile as bright as the sunflowers, is what the two former directors who had also raised me built this facility for.

That’s right, I was raised here myself… that being said, I still live here, but I was actually the first to graduate. I had other jobs as well, but since the couple has grown old and has no heirs, I took over the business early on. Err, I’ve been running it all by myself. I’m not very good at managing money, so it has been somewhat tough… ah, forgive me. This is not the kind of thing you should tell your guests, is it.

…..Yes, that’s true. He was the first child to graduate after I became the director. As a result I have a lot of memories with him, and I worry about him a lot.

When he first arrived here, he had been so tiny… I could never imagine him becoming the adult he is right now. He also spoke so little, and the other children would say, “I’ve never seen that kid smile.” On top of that, he barely touched his meals, so he was getting thinner and thinner…..

As you probably know, at that time he had no idea why he was here… or rather, no memory of it, so neither we or he knew anything about him. He kept some kind of a trump card, but then we also knew nothing about it.

But there is this one day when we were rehearsing a song together for Christmas. I was accompanying the song on a piano, but instead of singing, he was staring at me.

I have a policy not to force children to do things against their wishes, so I let him sit on my lap and not sing. At that time, I thought that if he was interested, he should take a closer look.

But then….. tink, tink, he began to hit some notes along to my chords. At first I thought he was just hitting them randomly, but he did it right on cue. They were just single notes, but it was a duet, so to speak.

It did not seem to be a song he knew… so I tried to make him sit properly on a chair, and then…..

I was really surprised!

He played a similar song smoothly!

Even the kids were also excited….. the rest of the children came from troubled households and none of them had ever taken piano lessons before, so… they kept cheering on him and he began to play more often.

I would never forget, the embarrassed smile he had on his face at that time. It looked exactly like a sunflower….. that was that child’s true face.

What happened after that was history. He started to open up to me, as well as the other kids….. because of his personality, he often got into fights with other children….. I’m not sure if I should say this, but it made me happy. That child is someone who acts on his emotions, rather than his thoughts.

Don’t get me wrong, though, he does strike me as a clever kid. Ahaha, is that surprising? He hated studying, so even now he is not the best at it.

Getting back to the topic….. to him who had no memory, ever since he was a child it never mattered at all. The one standing in front of me is just himself, who has formed bonds with everyone else.

Therefore, rather than searching for who he actually was, we build relationships with everyone from the ground up, create memories we would never forget for the rest of our lives… everything that we did together had been piling up.

So for him, Sunfields is his home. It may be inevitable for him to feel that way……

Yes. He considers Sunfields to be his own home and the other children his own family. It’s true that some kids eventually find foster parents along the way, but until they get used to it… they are free to get into my bed and cry until morning comes. Thankfully, they also see me as their own parent.

But, there’s a limit to what I can do….. you also need to create a real family outside of the orphanage. Among the children who have graduated, he is the one who keeps returning most often. Of course it makes me happy….. but someday I must tell him that that’s not how it’s supposed to go.

That being said, I can’t convey what I meant clearly either….. this is beyond my capabilities.

I can’t tell him this, but I’m very proud of that child. To me, every single one of them is special, but the more difficult they are to deal with, the harder it is to see them leave the family. Besides, he is kinder than anyone else. As he grew older, he began hanging out with kids outside who are a bit unruly, so he might be misunderstood, but….. he cares a lot about others, and there are not many who can be as compassionate as he is.

also i cannot possibly underline enough the bit where my brain exploded. this is an exaggeration only in that none of it came out of my head, but i was Not Myself for a Long Time.

16) What are your writing strengths?

i think my internal monologue bangs. this is because i agonize over it.

moving characters around in the space is like pulling teeth and i feel like a solid 30% of my editing is focused on that. getting someone from point a to point b elegantly and without it feeling like "astarion got up. he moved his feet. he sat down. he looked out the window" makes me feel like walking into the sea

18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I like it when it makes sense! Why does this character use another language? Does the reader need to know what they're saying? Is the POV character unfamiliar with the language? Does the reader learn anything from this? If you don't have good answers, why do it?

I find tieflings really neat, and bg3 does the typical dnd thing of "tieflings are looked down on," without, like, doing much with tiefling culture. So Ive had Kira use Infernal as a shortcut to create familiarity with other tieflings, and use it to have private conversations bc why would anyone but tieflings and people living in The Hells know that language--this solves some problems for her! And it creates others.

19) First fandom you wrote for?

Naruto...... once upon a time i wrote shikamaru/sakura fic. i was going to make a joke about that being my actual first longfic but i just checked and it literally isnt, i worked on it for a year and if you dont count the in-text authors notes (it was a different time) the whole thing is shorter than true colors chapter 4.

can you imagine me, now, updating something for a year and it being less than 11k. lol. lmao, even.

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 423,411! Quite a lot of words, if I do say so myself 😤

3. What fandoms do you write for? A huge majority of my fics (and that I'm probably more known for) are for JSHK! Before that, I was dabbling a bit in Ensemble Stars, but the second most-written fandom for me would be Fairy Tail, the series that actually inspired me to start writing!

5. Do you respond to comments? I try to! Whether it's a simple comment or a detailed one, I always love reading people's thoughts! This is reminding me that I haven't done so in a long time, I'm sorry to any readers who've left comments that I haven't responded to! I've just been so busy with life that it often slips my mind >< I'll try to get to them soon!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? That's tough... I tend to write fluff so any angsty ending might just be those with character deaths... even then some of them still get a happy ending 🤔 But if I had to pick, then it's either Heaven on Earth or Fly Away with Me?

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Again a toughie because I mostly write fluff lol. The first fic that comes to mind is farewells are not forever! Mostly because I was able to receive a lot of thoughts and feedback for this story in particular, so it sticks out to me the most 😊

8. Do you get hate on fics? I've only gotten two negative comments on my fics, and truthfully, I found their thoughts fair. Were they constructive criticism? No, but what they voiced was exactly how I felt about my writing, so I don't fault them for voicing their opinions. If anything, those comments helped me take a step back from writing to figure out how I wanted to continue with my writing/posting quality, so I have to thank them for that!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I've written some, but as I've told Hime before, you'll need to subscribe to my (nonexistent) OnlyFans to find out 😉

10. Do you write crossovers? I don't, but I see merit in doing so! Personally, I like to write for fandoms separately. There may be AUs, but never a crossover between characters from both series/fandoms.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I don't think so? If I found out I did I don't know what I'd do apart from making an announcement here or on my ao3 profile saying I currently only post works on ao3...

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope. Someone offered to translate my fics for me in the past to Spanish, but around that time there was a whole drama about how one writer/translator just used Google Translate. It got heated and I got scared lol, so I asked the writer who offered to translate my fics not to translate them and even added the whole "Please do not translate my works" thing in my profile.

As someone who does translation work myself, I hope that any translations are done with love and care and not lazily thrown into a translator. That isn't to say the person who offered is any of that, on the contrary I think they were genuine with their offer, but at the time I didn't want to get wrapped up in any drama so I stepped away from anything that could drag me into it.

I think I'm more open to the thought of having my fics translated now, but I might be picky or cautious of who offers/does them.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but I find the idea fascinating! I have a lot of self-doubt about the quality of my writing, and now that life's gotten busy there's the whole speed and availability aspect to work around too, so I don't think I'll be able to write anything for now lol

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? I can't choose! My favorite ships depend on my mood lol One moment I may love HanaNene, for example, and the next it's AmaNene, or even TsuNene, or even HanaNeneTsuka! It's hard for me to pick one.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Never ask a woman her weight, a man his salary, or a writer their WIPs u_u I've not found the time or energy to write, and currently my interest and motivation for this fic in particular is at an all-time low, but I want to finish Down the Plank and Into Your Arms. I try to ensure all my fics as completed for this account, so that's one promise I want to keep.

16. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue... maybe? More specifically, banter? That's one aspect of my writing that's often praised, so I think maybe that.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I'd say, without a doubt, it's descriptive writing lol Sorry I've got no imagination or good words to set the scene, it just kinda fills itself in my head.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I've thought of doing that before, but I couldn't think of a scenario that required anyone to speak in another language lol

19. First fandom you wrote for? Fairy Tail! Quality and pet peeves of mine for the series aside, it's got a soft spot on me for being the fandom that pushed me into writing fanfic.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Why must you make things tough 😭 As I'm sure you've noticed by now, I'm awful at deciding a single favorite of anything. BUT, if I really had to pick only one..! It's glass shattered, clay battered.

I think this was written the month before the Severance chapter lol It's an introspective fic in Hanako's POV and it's got some metaphors/themes that I'm proud of. Even after knowing what happens post-Severance, I don't feel like the Hanako I wrote here is all that different from the Hanako we know in the manga.

Others I'm proud of are I Must Think of a New Life and I Mustn't Give In, i leave you with all that i love, but i will never let you go, Love is a Race and I'm Stuck at the Goddamn Start Line, Roots Run Deep, Leaves Grow Bare, Happily Never After, and love like a rose!

I swear that last sentence is only six other fics even if it looks like a paragraph🤧i do like me some long titles...

He turned to go, not trusting his face not to give him away, and said, managing to keep his voice steady, “I suppose I should—”

“Wait,” Trent said, finally breaking the silence, but it was his tone that made Ted stop in his tracks. It was almost a gasp, genuinely desperate. Not polite, or pitying, or reluctant—almost ripped from his throat with its sincerity.

Ted turned to look at him only to see—a most unexpected sight.

Trent Crimm was blushing. He was actually blushing.

“I—you. Um. Yes,” he said, stumbling over his words.

Ted blinked. “What was that, there?” he said.

“A date,” Trent blurted out. “You didn’t actually—ask? I. Yes. A date.”

Ted raised his eyebrows, but something was dawning: Trent may not have been shocked and upset.

So my study abroad program is basically falling apart because I was told my scholarship would cover most of the cost and it won't and I likely can't afford it now so I will have to drop.

It's just so frustrating because from the time I learned about this specific program a little under a year ago I asked and asked so many people if my scholarship would cover it and everyone said yes. I was never let to feel any doubt about it. I've always struggled with online school because of my disabilities and I worked so hard to get up my GPA to even apply. This is on top of working to save up money for what I thought was my out of pocket cost which was already like 5k and now I need to double that in like 2 months. I sacrificed getting car for this trip. It was my number one motivator to do well in school even when it was really hard. The scholarship is through my job and I've worked there for over 3 years and I saved up my PTO for this as well. My manager was really excited for me.

I think the worst for me is just that I know a lot of people who've been to the UK and I'm happy for them but like that's my home. that's where my dad is from, my family is still there. I went when I was baby but I don't remember. We were supposed to go when i was like 10 but the recession happened. I don't talk to my dad anymore but I grew up hearing him talk about England and while i'm not like "english" I watched a lot of tv and ate food and paid attention to cultural stuff. I've just wanted to do this for so long and I was so excited because it was like 6 full weeks and I know I'm probably never going to have the money to do that on my own.

It's also just embarrassing because now I have to tell my family and friends and co workers that I why I can't go. I love my mom and friends who are like "we can all save and go later this year or next year" but it's like not the same. Living there for six weeks vs going for 10 days. I had a lot of things I wanted to do.

12 as of a couple of days ago! 🥰 2 are from last year and 10 are my progress so far in the 2023 - Year of the OTP Challenge (my beloved 💖)

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

212,706 (that's about a Moby Dick's worth of words! 😦)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Just Tiger & Bunny, and just FireSky as a pairing, at that! (Who knows if I'll ever branch out... for now I'm very happy in my little corner of the fanfic world 🥰)

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

I probably respond too much to comments, if anything 😅 I cherish them immensely, so I tend to get a little carried away, and I try to answer every single thing that people say in them 🥺💙

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Oh. Uhm. I only really do happy endings, so... let me think.

Technically, the story that leaves the most angst still on the table by the end is Stereoscopy (The Hero's Shoulders), because there are some not-totally-solved things left in the background.

The one where the angst lingers closest to the end as a feeling, though, possibly enough to leave a tiny taste-memory of it in your mouth, might be To a Steadfast Heart, or possibly Second Song.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Oh, gosh. I suppose it depends on how you define happiest...

The most triumphant and satisfying ending I've done plot-wise, in my opinion, is hands-down Intertidal's.

If you're going more by something like "how much pink glitter and marshmallows is the final scene conjuring in my brain", though, it might be Love, Counted along the Fibonacci Sequence, or maybe An Honest Mistake, or Asterism (I write a lot of pink-glitter-and-marshmallows endings, sorry.)

8. Do you get hate on fics?

The haters would have to know little old me exists for me to get hate, lol. But more seriously, no, I get nothing but sweetness and I'm so grateful 💖💖💖

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Welll... I never quite mean to, but sometimes the story (and characters) ends up asking for it/needing it, and I'm so bad at saying no 😅

As for what kind... the kind that can have a 10k, E-rated chapter solely dedicated to the characters having sex, without me ever having to pick a word for "dick", lol (No, there's no trashy euphemisms, either; it's just me, my deep embarrassment, Keith Goodman's Very Polite POV, and synecdoche, my beloved, against the world 😂)

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I haven't, and I don't think I'm terribly interested in trying (never say never, of course, but for now I can't think of any that I'd want to write). AUs and/or fusions, on the other hand, are very interesting and I'm farily sure at some point I'll end up writing one.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Again, they'd have to notice the fic to steal it 😅 (Of course, it might have happened without my knowledge, but I don't see why anyone would steal unpopular fics. And besides, it would have to either be posted on a website I don't look at, or modified to be other characters, because "my" ship tag on ao3 is far too small to hide anything in there, lol)

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No. (I'd make a joke about them being translated from the Italian in my head to the English on the page, but I think them up in English in the first place, so it wouldn't really apply 😅)

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I've "co-written" a lot of concepts/headcanons in chats and I always have an absolute blast doing that! (I'm not entirely sure I could ever co-write a fic, honestly, because I'm a bit of a control freak about my creations, and I'd probably get insufferable during the process)

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

The only one I write, lol: FireSky!!! ❤️💜 AKA Keith Goodman/Nathan Seymour, or Sky High/Fire Emblem from Tiger & Bunny (... their hero names ship name looks like a pretty crazy crossover, lol)

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

Ooof. I only have two real wips on my hands; the one I have more doubts about ever finishing is the one I was trying to write for the September leg of the 2023 YOTP Challenge (for which I ended up writing a different story altogether). It has very unconvincing logistics, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to fix that to my satisfaction.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Mmmh. I've gotten a fair bit of compliments about my characterization, so that's one, I suppose. I've also been very good so far at only writing one fic at once and actually finishing almost all of them (which is not nothing!) I also really like my metaphors/similes/analogies/symbolism a lot, especially in dream sequences, but I don't know if that's objectively a strength or just something I do well (mostly) only to my personal satisfaction.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I used to be good at not having run-on sentences, but I've gotten so much worse about it lately?!? I really need to check myself on that. And I think I'm not very good at coming up with complex plots (one initial premise to kick things off, and then following the flow from there? Doable. Several significant events actually shaping the story from more than one side? SAVE ME.)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Well, if the characters were speaking another language for some reason I suppose I might, but I'm only fluent in two languages, so unless I could find someone who could help me, I would probably try to avoid the issue altogether somehow.

I also think it's not an easy thing to handle, because if the reader is not supposed to understand, a few words and phrases here and there, that maybe get explained/translated in-story at the moment or later, are okay; but huge chunks that the reader can't understand would just be annoying, and if they're supposed to understand, you need to fit a translation in along with the foreign dialogue, and it might not always be easy to do so in an efficient / not cumbersome manner.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Mh. If we want to be really precise about this, I think somewhere in my parents' house is a tiny notebook with a lilac (or possibly pale pink) cover, where a strange, short scene set after the Season 1 finale of Smallville is written in pencil. But that was a one-off thing.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Stereoscopy (The Hero's Shoulders) will always and forever be my baby; it's the one I poured the most time and soul and effort into, and the one that I consider, in a way, the definitive fic I could write for that pairing.

I do feel like I have to mention Intertidal, as well, though: it's by far my favorite of the rest my fics, and I think it has a lot to offer.
