Imagine the Hermits learning ballroom dance.
Imagine Etho being assigned to lead because he’s tall & everyone assumes he would.
Imagine him constantly fucking up, stepping on his partner’s feet, missing beats, just a mess.
Imagine Bdubs getting upset from the sidelines.
Imagine him getting blustery about this disaster & stepping in, saying no, no, no, this is all wrong, shooing Etho’s partner away.
Imagine anxiety bubbling up in Etho’s stomach, at having to lead for Bdubs, as he walks over.
Imagine Etho trying to place his hands on Bdubs, mentally preparing for another disaster.
Imagine Bdubs tutting & moving Etho’s hands away, much to Etho’s confusion.
Imagine Bdubs then firmly placing his hand on Etho’s back & grabbing his other hand.
Imagine Bdubs confidently taking over the whole situation.
Imagine Etho’s amazement as Bdubs leads him, and suddenly Etho’s dancing is on beat, smooth, no stepped on feet.
Imagine them elegantly whirling across the floor, everyone else watching them in surprise.
Imagine Bdubs dipping Etho.
Imagine Etho looking at Bdubs face while this happens & feeling his stomach flip at the burn of assurance in Bdubs eyes.
Imagine the song then ending, & them just staying there for a moment, breathing a bit heavy from the exertion.
Imagine Bdubs pulling Etho back up & releasing him & pointed saying that that was how you did it.
Imagine Etho staring at Bdubs, feeling lost & unsure now that Bdubs isn’t there, hand on his back deftly leading him.
Just like. Imagine.

Character relations/opinions!
Alright before I post any more Battle Addict stuff I should probably explain what a League Council is. Here's a summarized diagram:
A Pokemon League is a region's network of specialized skilled trainers. It is run by the League Council, which includes finance, HR, marketing, PR, and other managing departments which are divided into different branches depending on who they work with.
This is all to say that everything gets messy very quickly when news of the diagnosis spreads through the network. Originally the diagnosis was supposed to be private information for only the Battle and League departments, however certain higher ups felt it was a safety risk and notified gym leaders as well in the event of future collaborations.
The network is mostly divided into people who are positive/neutral about the news, and people who feel negatively about the twins as a result. Coworkers who were already familiar/close with the two tend to be positive, or at least supportive, whereas those who didn't know them got another reason to avoid them. Some people think they should go on leave for "recovery", but some are more forward and want them terminated.
If you're wondering where Cynthia falls in this, she's a foreign top league worker (Sinnoh Champion) who is hosted in Unova. Basically she has dept. employees assigned to help her connect to people around the region and get different services if requested. She's basically watching everything unfold from the sidelines, with every interview about her opinion boiling down to "lol if you're scared of people stronger than you then get good". She does also bring up historic accounts of CM/HCCM though, mostly to clarify that CM is not a new or scary thing. She's not for or against the twins, rather just hoping to use this as an opportunity to teach others.
I didn't end up drawing her because I got tired but Elesa got the news too!! She actually got it before everyone else since the twins decided to go tell her beforehand. The general scene basically had Ingo and Emmet deliberating in the car, Ingo telling Emmet it's not too late to turn around and go home while Emmet was hesitant but adamant that they needed to tell her first. She probably took it the worst out of everyone but that's mostly just cause it caught her off guard that her friends would just randomly drop in to deliver the news. She's still rooting for them though, mostly trying to support the Subway with more collaborative events to make the twins look better after the hit from the media. She also tries to rework Emmet's restraints where possible, usually trying to make them look more cohesive with the rest of an outfit or trying to make them less visible (cause as much as Emmet says it's not a big deal it's still the first thing he looks at in his reflection).
Here's them in alt clothes :7
Man is cuffed under there (T_T)
Can't really think of too much to say so hope you guys like the art and see you later!

despite summer being held on a pedestal and what not, her memorial is in a remote place, made of stone with simplistic design. there's no fanfare to it; the view, of course, can be absolutely gorgeous from the spot, but that alone gives it a feeling that this spot meant something to summer, e.g. it was her favorite spot on patch, and so on.
pyrrha meanwhile gets a whole park with a statue made in her likeness for a memorial, and knowing what pyrrha was like, i doubt she would have wanted it, a memorial in which she's elevated over all the other lives lost, even if it was in her hometown.
and that alone makes summer's memorial so interesting to me in its simplicity and remoteness, because clearly there was room for something much, much bigger that would have really solidified her place on the pedestal she was and is still held on by many and yet—

I think Nightcloud's Thaw (assuming you keep that title) is a great idea not only because your Nightcloud is so interesting and because she as a character deserves more spotlight, but also because it would be interesting to see Crowfeather begin to change from her perspective. After all, you said it was a surprise he offered to help save Breezepelt at all- and what better way to show that than for us to not be inside his head when he makes the decision to offer to help?
I'm feeling more and more confident about it. I think BB!Nightcloud is absolutely the best choice of a character to observe the events of "Crowfeather's Trial," now Nightcloud's Thaw.
Nightcloud's Thaw is an okay title for now, but I want to bat around some more names.
It's meant to invoke the way her life begins to turn around, after Crowfeather's exile; beginning with that reveal, how Crowfeather's behavior reaches a breaking point in the Clan, her reputation turn-around, and finally accepting Crowfeather's help in aiding Breezepelt.
So "thaw" is one way to put it... but if I could capture something more related to the change of seasons or time, that would be good too. Nightcloud's Daybreak, Nightcloud's Horizon.
We can go through Nightcloud's process of unlearning with her.
The dread and fury at the reveal, the shock when Crowfeather actually sees a consequence, and the way that suddenly the Clan is sympathetic towards her in a way they'd never been
How this newfound empathy feels somewhat insulting to her, but, how it helps her start to realize that she DOESN'T deserve how Crow treats her.
Makes it easy to truncate most of OotS, can quickly be described as "they stayed together slightly longer, but if it wasn't dead, their relationship was quickly dying."
And really get to the meat of the story with how Crowfeather deflecting the blame of their son's Dark Forest training on her was the LAST straw. For everyone. Including Crowfeather himself.
(I think I'll actually change around the fight in the BOTTE to be Breeze attacking CROW, and Lionblaze STOPS him. Because killing his pathetic dad, in the end, wouldn't fix anything and would ruin his life forever. Really change it to stress that no one likes Crowfeather because of how he keeps treating people. If Crow wants to turn that around, he has to CHANGE.)
(Plus, something just feels nice about letting the two have a bond. Something about how they were both pulled out of the dirt at the Kitty Olympics and washed clean by Nightcloud, starting this deep, brotherly bond somehow. I'll have to revisit this.)
Nightcloud alone can link the way that Crowfeather is trying to change himself, AND the way Breezepelt is getting worse, in the way I want
She's cautious of Crowfeather, for good, obvious reasons. He hurt her, and has only ever used her good faith as leverage against her.
And she's charitable to Breezepelt, because she knows exactly what pain is behind his rash, emotional behaviors.
SO I can frame them both in the way I want through her eyes.
Plus, I need a place to put her childhood. If it's not here, I wouldn't have a good spot to put it.
I could link all the flashback segments with having Addersong pass away, since he would be VERY old at this point. It could be very bittersweet for her
She spent so much time away from her beloved mentor, who taught her so much.
She could have had so many wonderful years with him, his advice, and his songs. But now he's an elder in his last moons
All because she let her heart be hardened after the death of her family. Pain lead her astray so many times...
I'll probably rework a LOT of the stoat stuff. I know right away there's a lot of actions in CT I want to rip away from Crowfeather and hand over to Breezepelt; a lot of the loud, openly argumentative moments he has with Onestar for example. SHOW the way that Breezepelt interprets Harespring/Darkseeker's diplomatic responses as "sniveling and traitorous" to him.
Have Nightcloud be trying to bridge this gap between Breezepelt and his Clanmates with her new reputation, and it just not working.
Maybe shuffle Nightcloud's disappearance near the end of the book, around the time that the Kin appears. Show that his mother being suspected dead was a BIG reason Breezepelt made such an emotional choice to join the Kin, and bring his other allies with him.

ok i'm flagging this byler fic idea here bc i'm forcing myself not to start writing it until i at least have a bit more free time (weeks and weeks away...) but i don't wanna forget it
byler post-canon fic, they're in their 30s. mike married a woman (her name is beth she's an icon this is unimportant but also i love her) and they've lived in nyc since college but they've just gotten divorced and mike has to move back home to hawkins bc he's broke af and also kind of. depressed. he's an aspiring author but has never actually finished a novel, just has these half-hearted attempts strewn everywhere. so yeah kind of rock bottom for mike ngl
but WHO does he run into at the hawkins grocery store when he's doing the shopping for his mum but... mr will byers. like literally mr byers he is the art teacher at hawkins high :-) mike drops like a carton of milk in the aisle and the clerk is this teenage girl who is #sodone with her job and mike is so embarrassed and apologetic and then even MORE embarrassed when will appears and the girl is like "hi mr byers :-)" and he's like "hi tayla. don't mind him he's an old friend of mine"
and then YEAH awkward reunion bc like. they're not really friends anymore? not close anyway. they send xmas cards ya know but the whole party left hawkins for college or to travel and the only one who returned after was will. and mike knows will keeps in better contact with literally everyone else but he and will stopped really talking bc of... undisclosed reasons that happened in their senior year of high school...
BUT ANYWAY will knew mike was coming back in town bc hawkins is tiny and karen wheeler is SUCH a gossip and will was always her fav of mike's friends anyway. and yeah he invites mike over for dinner and they talk and drink and mike has to stay on the couch bc he can't drive home and will's house is just as small as the byers' used to be and even tho mike's only been here like once before for a christmas it's already so familiar. it's /will/. and yeah they start to become friends again and maybe more and mike has to come to terms with the feelings he still has for will that he thought were long buried.
also beth and mike are still friends and she is the no. 1 byler shipper in this house ok i'm done
