What are the names of your farmer and Alex's kids? Just curious! 💖
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's true how he would have a mental crisis if he doesn't have any children that share the same gridball passion as he is [x],
but that's how life tests u sometimes, so i thought what if his son likes sport, but indoor sport, what if it's ping pong
i try to watch pro ping pong match, and it is actually really cool, the moment they distance themselves, they start serving in a very quick & intense way that really requires focus
it might be easier to get fascinated by ping pong, than american football that looks like a messy game of tag on tv
(maybe, he likes wall climbing too, but refuse to do the actual thing)
his sister might like swimming at the river or lake, horse riding, jogging with her dad & lacrosse.
but the three's favorite sport show they agree love watching together: Dog Agility Championships & Puppy Bowl ( ๑>ᴗ<๑ ):・゚✧

JGP Bangkok dance: the 1st JGP of the season! in Thailand! this ice dance field has the 2 top teams from jr worlds who didn't senior up -
Tumblr media
Leah Neset/Artem Markelov 🇺🇸USA (17/20 yo) they were 5th at Worlds in March, have won 2 events this season already. their RD is Scorpions and Joan Jett, and their FD to a Sarah Brightman song based on a classical piece by Albinoni. they're polished, their demeanor is professional, a mature team for juniors. their coach is so involved, you might see her jumping and dancing at the boards when they skate. they're aiming for gold at Jr Worlds this season
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Celina Fradji/Jean-Hans Fourneaux 🇫🇷FRA (18/19 yo) they were 6th at both Jr Worlds and the JGPF last season. they're skating the same Scorpions song as Neset/Markelov in their RD, but with AC/DC, and they have a tango FD. this is their 8th season together, and the longevity shows in their sense of ease and equality with each other. they have a bit of a history of being stronger in the RD than the FD at big events- but we'll see what happens this season. they're looking to return to the JGPF and to medal at jr worlds
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Layla Veillon/Alexander Brandys 🇨🇦CAN (17/18 yo) 5th at 🇨🇦Nats in january, could make the Jr Worlds team this season. they have a Run-DMC RD and a Chaplin FD. they've competed twice this summer, their FD is sweet and has the curve lift from Seasons, and the RD is fun and in process: the rocker foxtrot is the junior RD pattern, and in the 2nd half, the teams switch sides - what traditionally were the woman's steps are skated by the man and vice versa - L/A missed all the key points in this section in both their comps, so i'm sure they’ve been working on that. many teams are having similar issues with this 2nd half of the pattern (2RF). it feels like IAM/O have a 3 yr plan for their jr career - last season was time to learn the big stage, give them programs in their wheelhouse which were nevertheless more mature than what they had before. this season started with difficult balance lifts in both programs (the original curve lift in their RD was like a Madi and Keiffer Hubbell lift that required a lot of strength from both), dance styles and storytelling that ask a lot of them, encouraging them, especially Alex, to project more, and they are☺️
youtube
Yufei Lin/Zijian Gao CHN (18/19 yo) they were on the JGP circuit in 2019, so this is their 5th junior season? they have programs by Romain and Pascal Denis including this Sleeping Beauty FD ⬆️ - i love a good classical program, and this one is lovely- they visited IAM recently. they're promising, and it will be interesting to watch their progression. they seem to be following in Wang/Liu’s footsteps working both in China and with IAM
youtube
Jinny Kim/Namu Lee 🇰🇷KOR (15/16 yo) South Korea has competitions to decide who they send to the JGP, so here's their RD- they train with Wing/Lowe in Vancouver, and they're young, but i love when you watch a team and their skating basics look this strong- they need experience together, but there's a lot to like - they're both performers, he especially is giving 100%
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Natalie Blaasova/Filip Blaas 🇨🇿CZE (15/18 yo) another sibling team from the Czech Republic, though from a different camp than the Mrazeks and Taschlers. their RD is Tina Turner and "It's Raining Men,” and their FD is Wakanda Forever
Alexia Kruk/Jan Eisenhaber 🇩🇪GER (16/18 yo) they did a variation of the goose last season in their FD ⬆️ this season, they're doing a Michael Jackson RD and a tango/flamenco FD
any team with a JGP assignment is one of the best in their whole country - good luck to them all 💙💙💙

List of Metaphores
We weave a trap of words and live inside it, and call it world. That is individuals' specialty. The associated strings of that extraordinary snare of story are worked of strands we call allegory.
List of Metaphores
What is an illustration?
A representation looks at two unique things by comparing one thing as the other thing. By this correlation, our brains can carry one thought into the calculated space of another thought. At the point when you look at two items, one of them is found from an alternate perspective, enlightened and once again designed through that examination.
The substantial becomes dynamic, the transient grounded quickly, the obscure connected with the known such that assists us with understanding. This inclination to look at two dissimilar to things is an extremely human action.
Our cerebrums are intended to think in figurative develops, as a matter of fact. George Lakoff makes sense of that "One of the essential discoveries of mental science is that individuals think regarding casings and similitudes [… ] The edges are in the neurotransmitters of our cerebrums, genuinely present as brain hardware. At the point when the realities don't fit the casings, the edges are kept and the realities disregarded." We see things diversely when we glance through the focal point of representation.
Our brains weave thoughts together constantly so we can all the more likely figure out occasions, items, and even individuals and their inspirations. Illustrations are not strict by any means — as a matter of fact, they are purposefully told as non-literal retellings of the world, laying a texture of innovative story over crude reality and changing that reality into a smaller than expected story.
Before we get to the enormous rundown of allegory models, it's valuable to realize there are various approaches to composing representations.
Illustration Versus Likeness Illustration is the huge thought behind the examination between two distinct articles. Be that as it may, in English, we utilize two unique words to depict various occasions of the logical gadget known as a similitude.
A representation legitimate looks at two things by essentially expressing that this thing is that thing. A = B.
Analogy Models Instances of fundamental analogies include:
"Mary is a beam of daylight." "I'm swimming in messages." "Get-away is paradise." "Love is a combat zone." Likeness Models A likeness is a representation that utilizes the words like or as to make a similar kind of figurative examination.
Instances of likenesses in real life include:
"Dale works like a grouchy jackass." "Life resembles a crate of chocolates." "Her face sparkles as a gem." Scholars on Figurative Composition Similitudes can give the pleasure of narrating into each sentence that you make and can drive your perusers forward through your story. To furnish you with a navigational guide through the ocean of similitudes, I've recorded 125 representation models at work. Yet, before we get to the enormous rundown, we should find out the thing popular scholars have said about the force of illustration.
The English author Mary Anne Evans (who distributed as George Eliot) expounded on how representation propels us to act: "For we as a whole of us, grave or light, get our considerations entrapped in similitudes, and act lethally on the strength of them."
The Czech essayist Milan Kundera concurred with Eliot. He expressed: "Allegories are perilous. Similitudes are not to be fooled with." Yet in spite of this peril, authors need to utilize representation to impart further bits of insight.
The entertaining Terry Pratchett summarizes the thought in one of his books: "A similitude is a benevolent o' lie to assist individuals with grasping what's valid."
Pratchett was on the correct way. Since as one of the creators of the whole present day perspective about rationale and narrating told us, accomplishing ace in analogy is the level of narrating. Aristotle said: "The best thing by a wide margin is to be an expert of representation; the one thing can't be gained from others; and it is likewise an indication of virtuoso, since a decent illustration suggests a natural impression of the closeness in the different."
The supreme Beam Bradbury portrayed his composing along these lines: "I talk in tongues. I compose allegories. All of my accounts is a representation you can recall. The incredible religions are all illustration. We value things like Daniel and the place of extreme peril, and the Pinnacle of Babel. Individuals recall these allegories since they are so distinctive."
At last, the Italian writer and pundit Umberto Eco made sense of the gadget unequivocally: "Allegories set up likenesses as well as restrictions. A cup and a safeguard are similar in their structure (round and curved), yet inverse in their capability (harmony versus war), similarly as Ares and Dionysus are similar to the extent that they are divine beings, yet inverse concerning the finishes they seek after and to the instruments they use."

Tenerife 2 Ch D R1: Patrik Rikl/Petr Nouza def. Ryan Seggerman/Patrik Trhac 7-6(6), 1-6, [10-7] Match Stats
Tumblr media
📸 ATP official website
Bar the second set, where R. Seggerman/P. Trhac controlled due to the slightly faster rhythm, P. Rikl/P. Nouza successfully nailed the pressing points by putting the former pair off balance. This way, even though they were unable to convert 3 break points, they could maximize their chances in the tie-breakers, while R. Seggerman/P. Trhac tried to gradually ramp up the pace in the second set, which contributed to not only the 25% break point conversion rate, but also made their 8 chances to break, their pace still got absorbed toward the end of the match.
On the other hand, it turned out that both pairs had their own service game strengths. In this regard, even though R. Seggerman/P. Trhac scored 6 aces than P. Rikl/P. Nouza's 5, which also contributed to their exceptional first serve winning percentage at 82%, 13% more than the Czech pair. In contrast, P. Rikl/P. Nouza had a slightly better second serve percentage by 10%, mainly due to R. Seggerman/P. Trhac's percentage fading as a consequence of their 5 double faults.
In the quarterfinals, P. Rikl/P. Nouza will face Franco Agamenone/Francesco Maestrelli, who defeated Alexandru Jecan/Markos Kalovelonis 3-6, 7-6(9), [10-2] in another topsy-turvy encounter. Taking into account both are active, frequent singles players, this could be an interesting test on how their doubles game mesh with a combination of a balance between a working return and a functional serve, as well as their pacing. Everything counts!

Lukáš Přáda breaks Martin Štefankos winning streak at Silverstone
Lukáš Přáda breaks Martin Štefankos winning streak at Silverstone. Virtual GP, the premier racing series from the Czech Republic, returned after the summer break for round seven of the 2022 season, the first race in the single-seaters, which for this season is the Dallara IR18. Over 700 German horses contained in the sleek Italian chassis at the driver's disposal, this is a very different beast to tame than the old faithful AMG GT3 car, which had its sendoff at the previous round in Hockenheim. Along with the new car, six teams had seen driver changes during the summer break, a first in VGPs history to have such a substantial line-up change (click here for full details of who went where). So on to Silverstone, and taking the pole was championship front runner Lukáš Přáda, and joining him on the front row is Entropiqs new signing Kadlečík, with Štefanko and Podstata in his new colours starting on the second row. A terrible start from Kadlečík saw him drop to fourth behind the fast starting Štefanko and Podstata, and disaster found both Big Shock cars, with Pavel Mareček getting spun at Village, which led to contact and broken suspension, and Tomáš Hora losing his rear wing, consigning both cars to the pits for the rest of the race. Following the first lap melee, the top four of Lukáš Přáda, Štefanko, Podstata and Kadlečík had broken away from the pack, with the next group being David Přáda, Martin Sirotek, and Pilo all pushing to mitigate the gap between themselves and the lead group, and it did look like they would join the lead group after lap four, but an ambitious move at Vale for Pilo on Sirotek saw the MECA/ALL4SIM car spin and collected Přádas ERT car in the process. Whilst Pilo did some offroading to rejoin after the chicane, Přáda took the sensible option to wait for a safe gap to rejoin, which compromised his race as he was now down to 17th and outside of the points. Up front, the leading Přáda brother had managed to build up a small lead over his pursuers, who continued to battle for the remaining podium positions. Michal Limon had enjoyed the best start of everyone, from 18th to ninth by the end of lap 5, and the lead of the hard tyre starters. Another group that were battling hard, particularly by lap eight, consisted of the Lenovo Legion pair of Erik Vizi and Martin Nejedlík, as they were battling with a determined Petr Hermoch for Carvargo, being almost side by side with one another throughout the entire lap, which was bringing in the recovering Pilo, who had already dispatched ORLEN Benzinas Aleš Danda and the returning Lubomír Moric in his pursuit of lost time. After nine laps, the soft shod cars were beginning to struggle, almost catching Limon out at the Vale chicane as he nearly slammed the back of Nejedlík, costing the MECA/ALL4SIM car about half a second, but he was already back with the Lenovo Legion pair before the end of the lap, dispatching one before Stowe as they both peeled into the pits for their first stop of the race. The leaders remained locked in their battle, other than Přáda who had managed to increase his lead slightly to 1.4 seconds. Podstatas tyres were crying enough by this point, and Kadlečík easily got past the champion into Brooklands, which gave Štefanko some breathing space to chase after Přáda. Limon enjoyed a stint as the race leader when eight of the top 10 all came into the pits to shed their starting soft tyres, Stefanko found himself behind David Přáda, with the ERT choosing to fight the ESET car, to give his brother an advantage over Stefanko, which considering the incredible talent of the Williams Esports ace, any advantage is worth chasing. Přáda pitted at the end of the lap, but the gap had grown as the pair had battled for the entire lap. The action never died down, with two car duels to five car packs throughout the field all fighting. Pilo had continued to mitigate the damage caused by his early tangle with David Přáda as the MECA/ALL4SIM driver had got back up to eighth by lap 17, having worked his way to the head of a five-car group. The lead group, whilst a little bit further apart than before their stops, were still together, and Štefanko had brought the lead down to a second to Lukáš Přáda. Over the next three laps, Štefanko turned everything up to 11 to close in on the lead, and the old story of ERT vs ESET was resumed as the pair were within half a second of each other, and with Entropiqs new boy right behind them. A rare mistake from Štefanko saw him go too deep at the Vale chicane, which gave Přáda some breathing room, and an opportunity for Kadlečík to attack the ESET veteran. As the laps rolled on, the pressure was constant for the top four, as Podstata was never far behind, and Štefanko broke away to pit early, going for the undercut. His strategies have been a huge part of his success this season, so it was time to see if the Williams Warrior was going to show his strategic masterclass once again. - Chris Buxton Read the full article

Here are some of the names to keep an eye on: Serie A new faces This summer's transfer window saw some exciting new faces join the Serie A. Despite the loss of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Romelu Lukaku, there is still a raft of exciting young talent making their way into Italy's top division. England international Tammy Abraham has joined Roma from Chelsea, leaving a potentially uncertain rebuilding project at the Stamford Bridge. The former Manchester City ace will play under the guidance of new Roma coach Jose Mourinho. Ligue 1 new faces The summer transfer window has seen a number of big-money signings, with Paris Saint-Germain splashing out on a slew of players. The French champions are now attempting to reclaim the Ligue 1 title from Lille. Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Georginio Wijnaldum have joined the club, with another $60 million signing coming from Inter Milan. Ramos, who spent 16 years at Real Madrid, has signed a two-year deal while Gianluigi Donnarumma has signed a five-year contract after Euro 2020. ข่าวฟุตบอลล่าสุด Both players have been heavily linked with the Premier League, but despite the huge price tags, they are likely to be on the pitch in Ligue 1. Champions League new faces The Champions League group stage has been drawn and it features four classic European sides - Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Lille. Atletico will be a familiar face, but their new faces will add a bit of freshness to the competition. But will they be able to qualify for the knockout stages? That's one question we'll have to ask ourselves. Read on to find out. Here are the teams that have made a strong start in this year's Champions League group stage: UEFA Ballon d'Or In the latest UEFA Ballon d'Or news, Didier Drogba and Truong Anh Ngoc will be the two women's candidates shortlisted for the award. France Football's editorial team will also be involved in the process, and Czech journalist Karolina Hlavackova will help the jury determine the men's nominees. There were 127 jurors for the 2021 edition. Ronaldo's rape lawsuit dismissed by US judge in Las Vegas A Nevada woman's attempt to compel Cristiano Ronaldo to pay $375k in hush money has been thrown out. A US judge ruled that Ronaldo acted in bad faith by attempting to pressure the woman into signing a hush-money deal. The judge also threw out the lawsuit, punishing the woman's lawyer. Ronaldo's legal team does not dispute the two had sex, but maintains the encounter was consensual and protected by a confidentiality agreement.

hi i don't watch football but lots of football blogs are talking about this super league thing and i'm interested to know what's happening. do you mind explaining to me what is it and why is everyone angry about it?
sure! what follows is a very poor explanation i’m sorry
basically, every football season we have the champions league (UCL) hosted by UEFA. participants include the top four of the bigger domestic leagues and the champions of the smaller leagues (e.g. real madrid, barcelona, atletico madrid, and sevilla qualified based on their standings in la liga, the spanish league, but only slavia prague of czech qualified for ucl this season). there is more to the determination of the participants but i’m just keeping it simple since it’s not super relevant
through this system, participants are generally determined by merit. a club might be in the ucl one season but might not qualify the next. it’s all dependent on quality of performance.
yesterday, though, 12 very popular (i won’t say biggest because lol) clubs in europe announced that they had formed the European Super League (ESL). these include the “big six” clubs of the premier league (english league), the popular teams of spain/la liga (real madrid, barcelona, atletico), and the popular teams of italy/serie a (juventus, ac milan, inter milan). essentially, they’re all breaking away from the UCL to do this.
how this super league works is that these 12 teams will simply never not qualify! they’re in there forever. there’s five qualification spots but the primary point is that there’s no relegation no qualification for these 12 teams etc it’s just the “big dogs” all gathering together so they can only play one another.
no passion or spirit or merit is involved in this.
most critically though, not only are the “founders” of this super league (florentino perez, andrea agnelli, joel glazer, who are the presidents of real madrid, juventus, and manchester united respectively) all billionaire businessmen, many of the other clubs involved are backed by that sort of money (e.g. manchester city with its “oil money,” chelsea with its billionaire businessman owner roman abramovich).
so, as you can imagine, they’re all acting in the main interest of what most businessmen are focused on.
$$$$$$$$$$
by forming their own super league, these businessmen clubs obtain access to greater control over TV deals and money rewards. they no longer have to compete nor share anything with “smaller” teams. they’re hoarding the cash for themselves.
also? fucking jp morgan is financing the damn thing!
summarily, this is just a lil football monopoly they’re constructing. which is such a shame for football because it’s turning a very beloved sport into very little more than a money machine. and it hurts especially since admittedly, these are some very popular (okay fine i’ll say it, “big”) clubs involved who have tremendous followings. yes, there are a number of fans who really do oppose this (as you have seen), but there are also some who just do not give a fuck. they’ll watch their club wherever they play, doesn’t matter the ethics, the principles, whatever behind it. so if the super league proves successful... well. i really hope not.
UEFA, and it seems many domestic leagues, are doing what they can to stop this but really it’s just a bunch of threats (e.g. threats to kick these clubs out of their domestic leagues, deduct points, kick them out of the UCL, strip them of their badges, ban players of these clubs from competing in national tournaments like the world cup). UEFA’s not such a great organization either but at the moment i guess they’re the lesser evil. we’ve yet to see whether UEFA will uphold any of these threats should developments with the ESL continue.
some players have already spoken out (bruno fernandes of manchester city, ander herrera of paris saint germain) but there’s not really much else we can do beside sit and wait to watch football meet its demise see what happens.
tl;dr: capitalism baby. she’s ugly.

3 years ago, on September 15, 2018, the Hollywood Vampires realized a special show at the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, in Tokyo, Japan.
> This show marks: * The second and last time the Hollywood Vampires performed in Japan. The Vampires first played in Tokyo, on November 11, 2016.
* One of the weirdest shows the Hollywood Vampires realized. Some of the Vampires consider this probably “the most awkward show they ever made”, but on a super positive way. According to them, different from all the other shows where the audience scream at the top of their lungs throughout the whole show, the japanese audience was the most quiet and respectful of them all. Although they were really enjoying the show, only some were singing both due the language and mostly to respect those who were there to have a good time. After each song instead of screams they heard applauses followed by silence as they wait for the next song. After the show, the Vampires also saw how the the venue was almost clean, once the audience cleaned their on trash, and during the fast Meet & Greet they were treated really well and formally, asking if they could touch, hug, take a photo and thanking several times. That’s why they also consider one of the best audiences.
* The seventh time Johnny wore a cap during part of a Hollywood Vampires show in 2018. The first on June 14 on the show in Mönchengladbach, Germany, the second on June 16, in Birmingham, England, and the third on June 20, in London, England , the fourth  on July 5, in Switzerland, the fifth on July 7, in Lucca, Italy and sixth on July 8, in Rome, Italy. This also marks the tenth time Johnny wore a cap or hat.
* The first show realized after the 2018 Tour, but not considered part of the tour. This was a special show sponsored by the Japanese beer company, Asahi. The Vampires played a second show in 2018 on December 8 on Alice Cooper's 2018 Christmas Pudding.
* The first show with a really limited audience, supported by a beer company and with tickets won, and not bought.
The special event, titled “Johnny Depp live in Tokyo” was a special sponsored by Japanese beer, Asahi and limited for 1,000 Japanese aged 20 years and over fans who had to collect stickers from 500 ml or 350 ml Asahi Beers from March 13th to May 31st, apply on the seal sheets and send them to Asahi Executive Office. The winners were determined by lottery and won a pair of tickets to enjoy the show (the tickets couldn’t be bought).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
* This is the third shortened show the Vampires realised on the 2018.
The first show was on June 13, 2018 in Prague, Czech Republic and the second on June 24, during the 2018 Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, The setlist was identical to the show in Belgium and they performed only 15 songs instead of 19. 5 songs were cut and one was changed. Instead of “Combination”, they performed for the first time “Red House” by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
SETLIST: Hollywood Vampires -  Zepp DiverCity, Tokyo, Japan (September 15, 2018)

my brother and i started working on the most effort-demanding ace attorney shitpost we could. basically we decided to make a czech translation patch for the ace attorney trilogy. but not only translating it but going full out with name changes (except for godot, because he’s perfect) and changing the location to czechia and everything. honestly, i don’t know what we were thinking, we’re just two bilingual kids with too much free time on their hands and mostly just one another to keep us company. we already started and it’s going splendidly.

Butterfly Soup - Trivial Trivia Edition!
During the summer of 2020, CaptainScarth (an admin on the Butterfly Soup Wiki page) made a nearly impossible quiz with 69 questions about Butterfly Soup. I'll share some of the interesting facts I found, or some that you may not have considered! You can access the quiz here.
Trivia About The Game
It’s available in 9 languages: English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Czech, Bahas Indonesian, Polish, and Farsi
It was created with Ren’Py
It was released 16 September 2017
Its sequel was announced February 2018
It won the “Best Visual Novel of 2017″ award by PC Gamer
There are 9 butterflies and 10 hearts on the title screen
The first word of the game is “Diya”
Diya
Diya’s first dialogue line was: “What’s that supposed to mean.” This was after Hayden said Diya was more princess-like than Min.
Diya’s worst fear is disappointing her parents. This was mentioned when Min and Diya went to the Oakland Coliseum
Diya hates bittermelon
As a kid, Diya wanted 5 dogs. She said it would be like having 4 friends. Canonically, she ended up getting two as an adult
It had been 5 years since Diya last saw Min as kids
Diya is hard of hearing. She is deaf in her right ear from an infection when she was little. This is mentioned in Akarsha’s chapter when it was explained that Diya turned to hear Akarsha. It is also mentioned in Ask Batch #19
Diya is 5′10 in 9th grade (according to this FAQ) but she was still shorter than Chryssa
The name of Diya’s childhood team was the Collies
Diya’s food hierarchy is: Blue flavor > Peanut butter > Mango > Circle in the center
The last spoken word in Diya’s chapter was character. Noelle was complaining to Chryssa after Chryssa said “Suffering builds character!” to which Noelle responded “I don’t want character!”
The last unspoken sentence was Diya saying in her head: I guess we’re all playing baseball now? happily.
Noelle
The first time the player encounters Noelle, she brought a plastic baggy of grapes and a steel thermos of fried rice to lunch. The next day, she brought stir-fry with bittermelon
Noelle hates bittermelon
Noelle’s first line of dialogue was: “Diya! Help me!” She needed help opening a water bottle
Noelle and Diya became friends because Noelle gifted Diya her doughnut. Diya had thought that Noelle had always been there by default
Noelle set the dry pine needles on fire, not Jerry
The poem Noelle’s dad printed out in her room said “There is no success without hardship”
In Ask #10, it is said that Noelle plays right fielder. Chryssa and Liz put her there because less balls are tossed that way
Snakey’s (the plush Diya gave Noelle) sibling composition is two older brothers and a sister
Akarsha
Akarsha’s first dialogue line is “Ayy!”
Akarsha’s pee-pee time is before class
Akarsha plays shortstop (also in Ask #10)
The last spoken word in Akarsha’s chapter is “you.” This is because Akarsha says that Min likes Diya back and she will help Diya
Akarsha likes Ace Attorney, Zero Escape, and Nabari no Ou, as she suggested names for the caterpillar from these games (and one manga)
Min
Min’s first dialogue in the game was: “THIS IS THE WORST STORY IN HISTORY!”
Min made her imaginary gun (during a flashback to the summer between third and fourth grade) out of rocks
Min drew a giant dagger on her arm with Sharpie as a kid
Min would name her dog Skull Crusher (according to her conversation with Diya at the Oakland Coliseum)
Min and her family moved to Florida.
Min said she had to drink milkshakes instead of boba in Florida (Noelle was also shocked)
Min wanted a Corvette when she got older
Min cut her hair and stopped wearing dresses in grade 2
Min played Sonic Adventure 2 as a kid
Min is the older twin (this is mentioned in Min’s chapter when she refers to herself as ‘noona’ to Jun)
Min and Noelle were accidentally drinking pani at the buffet
Min used the insults lamp post, giraffe, long green bean, and Empire State Building to refer to Noelle
The last word spoken in Min’s chapter was “Bye.”
Miscellaneous
There are 9 people in the Baseball Club and 9 people on the Niles team
The name of the Baseball Club before it was changed was the Monarchs
There were only people who identify with female pronouns in the baseball club by coincidence
Akarsha and Min needed 392 more cents to buy Mario Party at GameStop
Ester’s first line of dialogue was: “Game dates? Who are we playing against?”
The first Baseball Club meeting was on Friday
Liz knows Diya from being at one of Diya’s games when they were little, but in actuality, she played against Diya before she transitioned. Liz didn’t want to out herself, which is why she said that. (Asks #16)
That’s it! At some point, I’ll probably make another post regarding specific trivia Brianna Lei had answered on her Asks that were not explicitly mentioned in the game. If you end up taking the quiz I linked, let me know what you got! (●'◡'●)

Chapter 42
Tumblr media
THE ROAD SO FAR
This chapter was a mess. But it's my mess.
Tumblr media
FOUR weeks of Silence
Gary "Roach" Sanderson
Veteran's Village
A peaceful Sunday meant that Roach, Alex and Soap were chilling at the house Samantha and Maxine were in. It had been 4 weeks since that Cuban incident and Francine had gone to therapy for her near death traumatic experience. If it wasn't for Soap, she would've been left out there for good.
France thought that it would be healthy to stay in a more domestic setup rather than the base so she took her time off duty to recover in the veteran's village. And ever since that day in Cuba, Soap and France's relationship was more expressive than ever.
"If we're having a barbecue tonight, we better head off to the meat shop." Alex peeked by the door, giving a heads up to the rest of the people sitting on the couch. Soap turned his head to Alex and tossed his keys as Roach stood up and came with Alex.
"Any other requests?" He looked at the group then to Maxine, who shook her head and laughed.
"Just be back safe." She replied.
"Got it." Gary nodded and waved goodbye at them. Soap wanted to come along but France had been falling asleep on his lap for quite a while. And Maxine and Samantha noted that she hadn't had decent for days.
"Oh, Roach! Grab me a cigar maybe." He whispered, trying not to wake France up.
"Roger that." He nodded and made his way to Soap's jeep, where Alex was already waiting on him. He sat himself on shotgun and let Alex lead the way to their destination.
He turned on the radio as it played a song about driving. Roach was quick to shazam it and found out it was Automobile by KALEO.
"Now this is going to be on my playlist." Alex said as his head nodded to the music, taking him where the winds take him, far away.
"Agreed. Oh, Soap actually asked for cigarettes so we might have to stop by a convenience store on the way back." Roach informed as the song ended.
"Okay. That's cool. Maybe add a few sodas for the girls. They probably haven't had those i  ages." He said as he turned the radio off and switched it to AUX.
"Here. Grab my phone and play that song again." Alex instructed as he drove through the streets, and Roach followed him. Playing the song again.
"Ah yes. This song is good." Alex sighed.
"Yeah. It's fire." Roach commented, making Alex raise an eyebrow.
"You know, fire… lit… slaps… Modern terminologies." Roach explained shyly as Alex chuckled.
"I'll never understand the young ones of today." Alex chuckled as he stopped by the parking lot, pulling his phone and leaving the car.
Tumblr media
Dinner was the best part of the Sunday evening as the three couples enjoyed a hearty meal together, sharing experiences and funny stories like an extended family. Roach talked about his raccoon story once again as one topic led to another until such time that the inevitable topic was discussed.
"Speaking of fires, do you have any leads on Nero?" Samantha asked innocently as the men fell quiet, looking at each other. Wondering who would open up the topic.
"Well, uh… After his assault in New York…" Soap trailed off, his eyes went to Alex, signaling him to continue.
"Alex, it's your girl's question! Go answer it!" Soap complained as France laughed, wrapping her arms around Soap.
"He's gone silent." Alex muttered. Samantha was kinda sad she asked about it so she tried to make up by brightening up the mood.
The night continued on as the group played charades, girls vs boys. For an hour or so the soldiers forgot about their worries and acted like they're normal people living their normal lives outside work. It wouldn't hurt to pretend like that, especially when the baggage of guilt was hard to handle.
"So, Gary. I've been meaning to ask you something…" Maxine said as she assisted him in the kitchen.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"How are you… like mentally. You seem… off." She asked, Gary sighed and eased his shoulders.
"It's just… we almost lost a life back there… for nothing. Lannister hasn't said any useful information and as the days go by another assault might occur." he breathed out his worries, earning a back rub from Maxine.
"People have their limits. Lannister could break anytime. Let's just hope we're not too late." She assured him. It was a very negative statement but somehow it's actually helpful. Gary smiled and gave her a hug.
"Thanks Maxine." he said.
"Yeah. Don't ever think you're alone. I'm here for you. Actually, just last night. I had another memory restored. And it felt so important that you have to know it first. Before…" she said, her voice lowering down after every word.
"Before what?" Gary whispered jokingly. Maxine laughed and hit his chest gently.
"Nevermind that word. Back to my memory…
I…" she trailed off, looking like she was too shy and scared to finish the statement.
"You…?" Gary raised an eyebrow. Maxine took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
"I had an ex-girlfriend." She blurted and paused right after saying it, bracing at what Gary's reaction.
"I- uh.. That's okay… There's nothing wrong with that, Maxine." He said like he meant it. Maxine was too shocked about his reaction. Maybe she thought about it too much.
"Like… does that change anything?" She asked.
"Nothing at all. Oh wait! Yes! It does." Gary announced and Maxine's smile almost dropped.
"It means that if I want to have you, I'll have to step up my game. I have more competition now." He realized and Maxime sighed in relief. This man was about to get some scolding.
"You worried me, you know!" He continued gently hitting on Gary's chest, giggling away all her fears. He still accepted her. This was great.
"My point's valid!" He laughed, defending himself from her hits,.like children playing house. This may seem like a simple event, but this was the beginning of something new for the two of them.
Task Force 141 Base - Interrogation Room
Price sat in front of Gabriel, they've been silent for about an hour now as Gary and Soap stayed on the viewing area to observe the interrogation. Alex was here thirty minutes ago but he left after he got a phone call.
"What kind of twisted play is this?" Soap asked, crossing his arms and looking at Gabriel.
"The bastard won't talk. Just cut off a finger or something." He scoffed. To Gary, it would make sense, but with all the cameras and the formalities, It wasn't allowed. Especially that Gabriel's alibi was that he got their first to investigate. Which was total bullshit.
"He still has his ace on his sleeve. As long as we don't find proof of involvement, he's going to be free soon." Gary commented, making Soap grumble some Scottish curses.
"It's pretty obvious!" Soap yelled as Alex entered the interrogation room, saying something to Price as they immediately left him alone. Whatever that message was, looked way more important than Gabriel.
"We've got a lead on Nero!" Alex said as he peeked on the door, making the two stand up immediately and head to the briefing room.
Tumblr media
"Operation Eye of the Storm." Price announced.
"In 24 hours, Nero and his newfound friends will meet on a hotel in Prague. This intel was from one of the Resistance Leaders Alex once teamed up with. They reached out for help since Nero started to secure the whole city." Price paced back and forth on the big screen.
"The plan is to eliminate Nero and his allies. As simple as that. We have the element of surprise in our hands. Soap, I want you to position yourself on the clock tower, just by the hotel. A bullet to the head should work. Alex will be watching your six. Jack will be our eyes and ears inside the convention. He'll be signaling when they'll be out on the open. Roach and I will enter the building for cleanup. We only had one shot at this so let's make it count." Price briefed and everyone else murmured their thoughts, some were already thanking for a solid lead. This was it. The final showdown. The end of the war.
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
Alex and Soap already left the resistance safehouse, they had to be at the clock tower tonight, using the concealment of the night and the noise of the rain for cover. The perfect opportunity to say under the radar. Meanwhile, Roach and Price stayed to defend the place as Nero's men once again ransacked the streets just to ensure his safety. The world may have announced that the war in US was over, but Nero still had some cities under his control. This minor setback was the reason he's planning for something new. And they're here to stop it.
"Alright, Roach. Your replacements here." Price said as he stood up from his spot.
"Get ready for the big day tomorrow." He added as he nodded and left his gun for the next person to use. Tomorrow's battle is going to be tough, and even though he didn't want to admit it, Roach needed some rest.
Despite the occasional gunfire and screaming, Roach was able to sleep. He didn't mind the battle outside the building as his battle was with Nero. Once Soap shot him dead, he would also want to shoot him again, just to feel satisfied.
0639H
Hotel Lustig
Prague, Czech Republic
Roach hid on the west wing of the hotel, while Price was on the other side. They were both clinging on to the walls as their entrance was at the small opening where Soap would shoot Nero. Roach eyed the convoy just below him.
"Convoy's up ahead. Nero should be in one of those cars." Soap muttered.
"Can't see shit through the lens. He could be anywhere." Alex added.
"Easy lads. We'll have a clear shot once they're in the balcony. Right Jack?" Price asked. Jack didn't respond, but maybe the signal inside was too weak.
"Jack? Do you copy?" Price asked.
"Da. I do copy, Captain Price. I'm just here to get my old prisoner back. I've had him in the gulag for quite a while but it seems this is our first time meeting face to face." A russian voice which everyone assumed to be Nero said in the most villainous tone possible.
"You're too predictable, Captain." he said as he clicked something, prompting an explosion on the clock tower.
"Get down! C4!" Price yelled as the two soldiers jump out, falling on to railings. Alex landed on a fruit cart by the tower while Soap landed on the car, crashing it as it alarmed.
"Roach! Go help them out!" Price ordered as Nero's men started to circle around the two while the resistance team helped them defend.
Roach quickly pulled Soap up who was groaning in pain. Alex looked pained too but the look in their eyes says that they're still willing to end this today.
"Let's catch up with them." Alex said as a resistance member tossed them a rifle and quickly hid for cover, pushing their way into the hotel. At the corner of Roach's eye, he saw Price enter the building, loading his gun and ready to end this as well.

Nottingham (IH) Ch D SF: Joshua Paris/Antoine Escoffier def. Ryan Peniston/Billy Harris 6-4, 6-2 Match Stats

📸 ATP official website
Stemming from R. Peniston/Billy's second serve problems, Escoffier/J. Paris took advantage of that situation with their anticipation on return, which often produced return aces to nail some crucial points. This contributed to some of Escoffier/J. Paris' 10 break points, with a 40% break point conversion rate added by their point construction. Although R. Peniston/Billy tried to create more damage in the deciding points, it was insufficient for them to stay in the match, especially in the second set considering they were being out-paced toward the end.
Besides, J. Paris/Escoffier had a solid service game throughout the match. From their first serves, they stood out by 8% with a 75% winning rate, backed up with their 5 aces. However, R. Peniston/Billy's second serves turned out to be problematic as they only had a 28% winning percentage even though they double-faulted just thrice, which implied the former pair might have risked their second serves, but still managed to win 60% of their second serve points.
In their maiden Challenger final as a pair but third Challenger doubles final for each of them, Escoffier/J. Paris will face another Czech pair in Patrik Rikl/Petr Nouza, who stunned second seeds Luke Johnson/Ben Jones 6-7(5), 6-3, [10-8] earlier before this match. While this match could be competitive on its peak, this will depend on their balance, especially from their serves and how to carry their anticipative return moving forward. Should also be a fun watch!
