I hope x doesn't turn out to be an as sole. Newsflash they probably will make a mistake which a) doesn't make you an asshole especially if you learn from it b) disappointing you in particular doesn't mean the person did anything wrong in general. Making mistakes and even doing something bad(within the limits we ain't talking about Hitler here) doesn't erase the good that someone did especially if it was done with heart and often it doesn't make you automatically a villain. Stop acting so holy

#sometimes people are like the bad side of cancel culture as if it wasn't ALL bad #bc cancel culture isn't punishing and forgetting someone who de facto did something terrible #it's jumping on your high horse to destroy and attack someone that often only disappointed you and did a very fixable mistake #there's paying for your wrongs and there is cancel culture and sometimes the latter also means erasing history so you can't no longer know #and learn and don't repeat the same mistakes #i see people saying that actual crimes should be forgiven then try to do anything possible to cancel someone bc they said the wrong word
