Some thoughts on the relationship between Law and Corazon? Is Law obsessed with Cora? Are there romantic vibes (maybe Law would chose a partner that reminds him of Cora 🤔)? Sometimes I have the impression he values him more than his dead family🙄 I mean we never hear him saying he wants revenge for Flevance.
Tbh I see why you would think that, because I also used to think this way. Like everything Law does is for Cora-san, but never for Flevance, for his parents or his sister. This won't be the usual analysis post, but more like me trying to put everything Law did so far into a bigger picture, to reveal what his actual, longterm goals might be. But first, let's start with Law's love for Corazon.
Who is Cora-san to Law? Many people say a parent, a sibling, a religious figure (because of his devotion and obsession), but I think it's actually none of these. I think Corazon is for Law what Oden is for Yamato. Yamato idolizes Oden, wants to be like Oden, but Oden also gave him hope, a dream, a heart (you could say), because before Oden all Yamato had was Kaido and Kaido took away Yamato's freedom long before Oden even happened. He expected Yamato to be the next ruler of Wano for him, to continue in his footsteps, ever since Yamato was born. Yamato's own wishes didn't matter. But the moment Yamato saw Oden everything changed. It's exactly how Ace says it "you're imprisoned by cuffs, but why would you let him cage your heart as well?". Oden was that light for Yamato he finally saw in the darkness, passion, love for the country and people in it, freedom. And he wanted that too, probably for the very first time, for himself. That's why Yamato carries Oden in his heart wherever he goes. Because Oden just by existing and loving his country gives Yamato hope and strength to keep going. Just like Law carries Cora-san in his heart wherever he goes as well.
Cora-san is his saviour, without him, Law would not be alive anymore. But more importantly he saved Law's heart, he showed him love, compassion, he treated him like a person, not a monster. And he gave him all that when Law needed it the most, literally like a hand of salvation. In that case it indeed feels a bit religious. Does it mean Cora-san is more important for Law than his parents? Not neccessarily, let's not forget Law still has at least one tattoo in memory of Flevance, also he still keeps his hat with him at all times and that's his only memento of his family, most likely. But Cora-san is the one who gave Law a "new life", the same way Yamato received "new life" from Oden, even though they didn't even talk once. And that new life is definitely like a new (re)birth for both of them, that's why Cora-san and Oden will never get replaced in their hearts. Taking away Oden from Yamato will leave him with nothing, and while maybe it wouldn't be as drastic for Law, it would still remove the core of who he believes himself to be and cause a major inner crisis.
Tumblr media
In another translation of this line, Law says "It's thanks to Cora I'm what I am now". Cora-san is indeed always on Law's mind, just like Oden is always on Yamato's mind. They both try to live like their idols, Law even called his crew the Heart Pirates in honour of Cora-san, but he also mimicks Cora in many ways: how he walks, how he sits, not to mention that silencing spell he used in battle. Yamato as well, even to the point of him changing his gender and wearing Oden-like clothes. Those hearts on Law's clothes also resemble a bit Cora-san's clothes that always had some heart-like motifs. Would you call it idolatry to the point of obsession? Personally, it reminds me of fans behaviour towards their boyband/girlband idols, especially in Japan. I know it, because I'm also part of that fandom. One of my idols has a special place in his hometown and he talked about it in one of his concerts. Next time he knows he hears from his friend reporting him that fans are now flooding that spot, because they all want to see it. They all want to experience that special connection and treasure it inside their hearts. That's devotion and obsession, sure, but you know, I also think it's really beautiful when the love you have for someone expands to places and things they love, cherishing them like they're special now to you as well. And it doesn't matter if that love is romantic, platonic, family-like, worshipping, because love is just love. If you feel it, you get it. It's that special feeling, the warmth, you carry with you everywhere you go and want to share with the world (or keep it close to your heart, or, sometimes, even both?).
So do I think Law has romantic feelings for Corazon? Nope. But he does love him the most in the world. Would Law want his partner to remind him of Corazon? That's a tricky one though. I basically think Law has a thing for cheerful people (Heart Pirates are cheerful, Bepo is joyful, Luffy is also full of smiles and joy), because he surrounds himself with them. But then one thing doesn't really leave my thoughts: why is Sanji the only one who is called by his title "Blackleg-ya" besides "Strawhat-ya"? Zoro, Nami, Chopper, they're all called by their names or surnames, not counting the few exceptions who get no name/title at all. I can understand why Luffy is privileaged considering the importance of their Sabaody meeting, but why is Sanji? They seem to have no connection. And then I realized what LawSan shippers probably did forever ago already: Sanji is a caring blond guy who smokes like crazy. And that must remind Law of Corazon. And that's the only reason why Sanji gets the extra respect (the onigiri though probably helped as well, ngl!). So I guess I have to reluctantly agree that maybe he has a soft spot for smoking blond guys, because they remind him of his beloved Cora-san. Law seems to be a pretty sentimental guy, so it does make sense.
Now let's move on to the question you didn't ask but sort of asked: does it all mean Flevance or his family doesn't matter to Law anymore?
For starters, Law's goals are very obscure and not really explained well in the plot. But let's look at "waves" that are the result of his plan to defeat Kaido and Mingo. Just the news of Doflamingo quitting warlords put the whole New World in a state of panic. It kickstarted rebellion in Dressrosa. Rulers of kingdoms in the middle of wars started to feel anxious, because they got their weapons from Doflamingo. Kaido was also in trouble, ofc. But it's not just that: right after Dressrosa Big Mom suddenly became interested in Germa... seems she was also benefitting from her deals with Doffy (it shouldn't surprise us, he did say he was holding reins to every emperor and monster there is in the new world!) and with Doffy out of the picture, she was in emergency to find a new business partner. Why Germa? Because of his scientifical research. Many of those kids of Big Mom might also not have been "naturally" born, who knows.
In the end those who benefitted the most from Law's plan were Revolutionary Army (they gained weapons, many nations stopped wars and they could instead influence them for rebellion), Blackbeard (unfortunately) and Buggy (his business was suddenly flourishing). After Wano repercussions for the world grew even bigger, but especially in one direction: World Government. We were told Kaido and Orochi did business with World Government, that's how they got their weapons. Now they're kinda in a pinch, aren't they? They can't get them from Kaido, they can't get them from Doflamingo. This was a huge blow to the Government.
And then we also have Sword, which is rumoured to aim it's blade against World Government or at least Marines in some way. Law clearly has some connections to Drake, whether we believe he's part of Sword himself or not doesn't matter (I know those theories are floating around, and I personally think they're just scratching the tip of the iceberg).
Now let's go back to Flevance. Who was responsible for the tragedy?
Tumblr media
World Government. And let's not forget for Law World Government means also Navy. They're both guilty. Taking down Kaido helped Wano, ofc, but it also hugely impacted World Government's sources for supplies of weapons. Taking down Doflamingo freed Dressrosa, sure, but it also eliminated a person that was Government's errand boy, basically. That's another blow aimed at Government. It's all about weakening them, they're extremely strong enemy that no one can take on alone, overpowered, cutting them off from supplies sounds like a good first step towards taking them down, wouldn't you agree? That's a similar thing to what Revolutionary Army did to Marie Geoise, btw.
But then, Law said he only cared for taking revenge on Doflamingo, didn't he? That he has been living only for that purpose. Actually... that's not true, he says some really contradictionary things about his own goal:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's sum it up: his goal is to fullfill Cora-san's wish, to free himself (because that's what Cora-san wanted for him, to be free), to pull the trigger Cora-san couldn't on that day 13 years ago. If he thinks Cora-san wanted to pull that trigger himself but couldn't then that would make sense. But that's disregarding the fact that Corazon probably never wanted to kill Doffy, he even said it himself that dying is the only option for him. Law knows it. When he says the line about the "trigger" it's about Law's own wish, he thinks Doflamingo should have died instead of Corazon after all. Cora-san's actual wish was for Law to be free, but Law thinks it was something else: stopping Doflamingo. There are like multiple different wishes clashing here, obscuring the truth from us. And let's not forget the most crucial information: Law never planned to take down Doflamingo by himself! The whole plan was about making Doflamingo resign from warlords so he leaves Dressrosa. Law didn't even care what will happen afterwards to him (though it's clear he wished Navy would take care of him, more so than he cared for Kaido to take care of Doflamingo).
And then we have this:
Tumblr media
"I've lived the past 13 years so I could strike Doflamingo down" which sounds suspiciously close to what Kyros was saying before and Law was there to hear it. Yeah, I think he "borrowed" that reason from Kyros, because he didn't actually want to voice his real intention here. We never doubt Law in this scene, because later on he repeats the same thing to Sengoku, and we don't expect him to lie to Sengoku, right? But I think what Law said was aimed just to make Sengoku feel better (he can relate to that, Sengoku is just mourning Rosinante!), and Law keeps quiet and hesitating what to say before Sengoku literally pushes an answer out of him. Law is hiding things from us, many many things, and most important one of all: what's his ultimate objective.
Tumblr media
Whatever Law's true goal is, it must be related to this conversation he has with Cavendish. "You will be in the eye of a storm", and Law's answer: "That's my intention".
Of course as we learn from his conversation with Sengoku, Law has perhaps some doubts whether going around and causing chaos (and perhaps aiming for Government's neck) is the thing he should be doing, and he voices his concern like this:
Tumblr media
Is this what a D. should be doing? Is this what Law should be doing?
And then in Wano we learn that his next goal is, curiously, to find out the meaning of the D. He still wants the answer to this question (is this what he should be doing?), that's why. But I believe Law is already setting a plan in motion to take down the Government somehow. That plan is very dangerous and can swallow his life in the process. He never told Luffy about it, because he wants to keep him out and away from it, not to "drag him down" together with Law (trying to finish alliance early was probably also partially a prevention of this). I wouldn't say what Law is aiming for is suicidal, but he is ready to put his life on the line and die if that's what it takes. And I hope we will finally find out the full scale of this and his ultimate objective, before this guy does something extremely stupid and reckless.
Last, but not least: Law is basically the person pushing the new era (after Whitebeard's death) forward: he destroyed the gears in Punk Hazard, he announced the deaths of the emperors, all those moments carry symbolic meaning. But is Law trying to make a world a better place or is he just trying to get revenge on World Government? I guess only time will tell us. I have faith in him and I think he cares more about the world and people than it seems. But he definitely also wants to give them a payback, for Flevance, for his parents, and also for himself. And now that he's free, truly free (in his own words: he stopped Doflamingo so he's free to do whatever he wants now), what's stopping him? Probably his own heartbroken ass at the moment, because of what happened to Heart Pirates, but ugh. I really think it won't stop him for long. We will get that revenge, Law will be the vigilante we hoped he will be and it might break us.
I could ramble more about Law's plans, but it would enter highly speculative territory and basically I would be grasping at straws at every corner. But I think I did catch on to some obscure foreshadowing, once again. Anyway, anon, not sure if this is the answer you hoped for, but those are my honest thoughts based on overthinking a lot about plot, story and stuff like that, as well as about Law, like always.

Tumblr media
When Steven ends up telling her how everything happened, and I mean everything from season 1. At the end of it, reader’s eyes are red, her nose is runny and she has snot running down her nose, her hair is sticking in every direction and she has her head between her hands while rocking against the wall. Basically, she falls into a mini depressive episode that lasts 2-3 days.
“What the fuck, guys??”
When reader finds out about everything that has happened, she also learns about Khonshu. And she gets freaked out big time when she’s hanging out with Marc, sitting on a chair next to the tank, watching Gus swim, (well, Gus 2.0 as well, really) there’s a gust of wind that comes out of nowhere and she screams and runs to Marc, “What was that?? What was that??? Marc?? Marc-” and she has to stand there, watching him glare at something invisible in the middle of Steven’s flat while she’s almost pissing herself.
For a few weeks, any gust of wind makes her jump and she screams when she feels cold air hit her feet and runs out to her flat, banging on Steven’s door which he opens, obviously worried, and she tells him Khonshu’s in her flat and he has to assure her it was just the wind because if it was, he would have felt his presence.
Khonshu doesn’t often appear when she’s around, but when he does, she curses at him, “You lying CUNT!” and Marc has to watch her trying to fight nothing (literal air) while Khonshu’s watching her from the other side of the room, the side she wasn’t standing in. "Is this woman mad?"
"Don't talk to my friend like that."
"So you have friends now?"
Once, reader suspects she has a rat in her flat and freaks out and runs to get a strong and capable man to get rid of it, aka one of her neighbours. And it happens that Jake was fronting that day and she tells him she heard a tiny squeak and she thinks there’s a rat somewhere in her flat. And Jake says, “don’t worry, I gotcha.”
And mr. mustache and fat ass pulls a gun in the middle of her flat and reader grabs onto the wall and her boob, trying to calm her heart so she wouldn’t die of a heart attack at such young age, heck she hasn’t even seen BTS in a concert yet, it’s too early to die!
now imagine reader screaming and jake chasing a rat while pointing his gun at the rodent with a crazy grin on his face.
"DON'T KILL IT! DONT KILL IT!" reader is screaming, and jake screams back, "WHY DID YOU CALL ME THEN?
When reader gets into something new and obsesses over it, she shows up to their door and knocks on it, basically like, “Excuse me sir, do you have time to talk about our Lord and Saviour, Jesus christ?”
And if marc happens to be fronting and is in his edgy feels, he shouts at her to “LEAVE ME ALONE!”
“Marcie pooh, let me tell you about the lore of this band I like!” She says like a villain, trying to share their very evil plan.
“NO!”
“Come on, let me iiinnnn! Please, Marc!” She says, trying to squeeze her arm through the crack between the door and doorframe.
But not only she likes to annoy them (sometimes) in waking, but also when she's supposed to be sleeping, when THEY'RE ALL SUPPOSED TO BE SLEEPING

11, 14, 15 for armand/louis please 🤧♥️
11. What their first impression was of each other
Armand took one look at Louis and was like 👁🫦👁 He knew that man could teach him so much about the centuries to come and that almost made him come. He said "Damn bbg you fine, think you can teach me about horse-drawn carriages?"
Louis' first impression of Armand was that this is a sweet little angel of a boy who could do no wrong ever, and that he would let that man hit like there's no tomorrow. Even after Armand was like "I'm not that great y'know", Louis was like, "I've had worse. You'll be okay, trust me. I mean, it's not like you're gunna kill my daughter or anything is it?" Louis would've let Armand take him through literal hell and back when they first met, and he would've thanked him 🤧
14. What nicknames they call each other
Armand gives Louis all sorts of nicknames which are super off-putting and that to literally anyone else, they would sound weird and not that sweet at all. But Louis thinks they're the most endearing, romantic things he's ever heard in his life. Things like:
My darling termite (this is because Armand feels as though Louis eats away at him with his love)
My sweet cockroach (because of Louis' endurance through life)
My moth-eaten love
Dark angel
(I've realised there's a bit of a theme here with insects 😭 That's not intentional lmfao)
Louis gives Armand much more genuinely sweet and sappy as anything nicknames which Benji and Sybelle think are quite frankly disgusting. To the point where they're fake gagging in the background whenever Louis says one of them, things like:
My heaven
My angel
[You're] The one who completes me
My saviour (this is usually said if Armand is ever having a night where he's feeling as though he's not enough for Louis, so Louis reassures him by referring to the fact that he helped him when he most needed him after Merrick)
15. What they would change about each other
Armand would want to change Louis' views in vampirism. For the most part, Louis has the whole vampire thing down, and he's not so put-off by it like he used to be. But on occasions, when Louis' having a bad night, he'll slip backwards a bit and regress back into the whole, 'Vampirism is bad'. Armand wants Louis to have an easier time fully accepting his nature, without also having to worry about him backtracking his progress in his views on it.
The thing that Louis would want to change about Armand, would be to live in the moment a bit more. With Armand's obsessive behaviour when it comes to needing to know everything about everything all the time, he often tends to miss out on the little things in life. Louis does love that Armand is so eager to learn about what's new and trending today, and he is more than happy to indulge him in his curiosities. But sometimes Louis feels that Armand is moving at a million miles an hour, and he would want him to maybe slow down a bit, and let things come to him in their own time without him feeling like he has to chase after everything constantly.

Watched oshi no ko and hells paradise both mid. Kinda makes me mad bc hells paradise was giving soul eater a little bit plus the op is catchy as fuck but I’m a little annoyed like I just don’t think I have it in me to tolerate mid female characters anymore. I really wanted to like it too bc the first ep was really good but then the second was like umm ok this dude is a bit much but he’s cool still. Then the third ep I was like so why tf is the girl even travelling with him if everyone knows he could easily overpower her at any time”. And the forth ep gabimaru had to save her and she collapsed bc she got overwhelmed ? Like it’s so embarrassing for her I can’t go on. I realize her arc is about facing her fears or something actually no I don’t really know what the author was going for but anyway my point is theres a way to do that without making her a cringe damsel in distress. Maybe I’m just jumping to conclusions bc it really does look good but like it’s not a great look so far
as for oshi no ko I was hoping it would be about like balancing motherhood and being a star or something obviously I expected too much. I actually kinda enjoyed the movie pilot but I dislike that:
1 it’s isekai
2 the mom fucking dies and the kid/guy is on some revenge fantasy bs. Like I said I thought this would be some cute show where a guy doctor falls in love with a pregnant woman who’s actually an idol hiding her identity and the issues that would arise from that. (Btw I did not know she was 16 going into this show. Another thing I dislike)
3 I feel like the isekai part is just accepted and will never come up again. Like idk bc I wouldn’t mind if it was actually incorporated into the story as like the main thing but it’s not really. like I want sarina/rubys backstory to be more important, the connnection between her wanting to be an idol and her not being able to move around in her previous life could be expanded on, idk anything abt the guys goals from before but I would like to see that instead
4 I hate the Mc he’s fucking BORINGGGGG and he’s obsessed w his sister and mom. (Side note When are we gonna get an anime where the Mc just despises his sister like there’s no other feeling other than hate.) What happened to the fun guy who used to be a doctor. Like trauma obvs but his whole personality became unbearable. you could say that he was obsessed with Ai even when he was alive but honestly, bro had a job and lived in the countryside, there is no way he didn’t have other things going on in his life
5 both these kids have no personality other than being obsessed with their mom like SHUT UP PLS
6 it’s literally just a girl in the mcs life suffers due to being an idol and he jumps in to save her by doing something maybe a little innovative and weird but ultimately good. Like I kept watching bc I wanted to see how him trying new things could expand his perspective or something like trying acting again or being on the dating show but no it’s just him saving chicks from other ppl
7 I feel like all of those points just show the plot is trying to be more than what it is. Like it’s just another isekai where an older guy takes care of underage women in return for their dedication. Ok to be fair it actually does have a lot of the inside life of idol culture which is interesting but also don’t advertise it like ai is a main character when she FUCKING DIES :(
I actually kinda dislike gabimaru too like both these mfs are gloomy, overly perfect, emo, and have saviour complexes and it’s rly not my vibe. Like idk they’re Gary stus. Ebony darkness dementia raven way but as a guy. Like please just suck at something you’re boring me
I think that’s what I get for trying to watch Shonen but ugh. I like action I like the power of friendship I even like a lil romance if it’s not like annoying and very specifically aimed toward the male gaze.

I love your take on Delphini so I was wondering, how do you imagine her backstory?
It's very difficult to answer this question because I absolutely hate to contradict canon, but at the same time The Cursed Child is probably the most idiotic source material we could possibly get, so you understand my dilemma.
The only beautiful thing about that entire screenplay is without any doubt Delphi and her characterization. Still, her backstory just doesn't make any sense to me.
Allow me to leave aside all that drivel about Cedric Diggory, because I honestly cannot even consider it as worth discussing. It's just mediocre writing and bad fanfiction material all combined in one big mess. I was already not a big fan of the majority of the characterisations and reasonings behind the original saga, but the narrative expedient behind the screenplay is just painful to read. I will leave it at that.
That said, considering the rest of Delphi's origin story as canon, from the script we learn that 1) she was born before the Battle of Hogwarts at Malfoy Manor, 2) was entrusted to Euphemia Rowle (Rowle's wife or relative) by some unspecified person, 3) treated really badly all her childhood by the said Euphemia, who only kept her because abundantly remunerated (again, by whom?) 4) and only later in life instructed about her parentage and future by an escaped or released Rodolphus Lestrange, who very conveniently and just out of Azkaban knows for no apparent reason about a prophecy about her, only to just... disappear again?
All this of course I have no choice but to take as true (it's unlikely Delphi was lying about her childhood in that context), but from the start it all sounded to me as not very thought out and definitely not the way I would have written the backstory of such a character.
First of all, I cannot understand for the life of me why the converging point of a movement of thousands of religiously fanatic people, a 40 years-long political cause and at least two if not three of the most prominent, ancient and wealthy magical families of Britain, ended up mistreated, abused all her life and living alone and off expedients instead of being a very rich and eventually influential and secretly revered member of the dormant Wizarding elite.
I understand Voldemort is dead and Harry the fabled saviour, I understand the general morale of the defeated pureblood aristocracy must have dropped and the fear of being persecuted skyrocketed (let's just look at Draco's problems, even if I don't think he's a good example to the general DE situation, since he's basically the reason Harry is alive and his ultimate dream is being one of the golden trio), but we are talking about hundreds of people, with centuries of tradition behind themselves and a fanatic adoration for their defeated god. Am I to believe no one hoped for the Dark Lord's return? Am I to believe no one hoped for some sort of miracle, a chance of vengeance? I mean, logically speaking the situation should have been more or less the same as it was after Voldemort's first demise - a movement of embers, not of cinders.
You could kill Voldemort, but not an ideology that was literally born with Wizardkind. Voldemort did not invent the blood-purity obsession, but merely conveniently married and championed it to further his plans.
And don't get me wrong, I totally understand the need to keep Delphi as hidden as possible while growing up, even from sympathisers. I do agree very few must have known about her existence, but it's all the same absolutely implausible for Rodolphus to be the only one.
Delphi was born at Malfoy Manor, am I do believe that Narcissa didn't know about her own sister's pregnancy, happening under her own roof? So even Lucius at least must have known, possibly even Draco. I'm also positive they were the ones paying Rowle to keep the child hidden (since Rod was imprisoned), probably even choosing Rowle themselves, since I cannot believe that old woman to be a backup plan Vold or Bella designed for their child's future.
But if this is true, then why was Delphi alone and oblivious all her life? Why didn't Narcissa, if not Lucius and Draco, secretly visit her and assured at least her well-being? Why keep the secret about her so well, and perhaps even pay for her stay (for Bella's sake, since I'm positive the Malfoys at this point hated Vold), and then disregard her entirely in all the ways that truly mattered? Why not tell her she was Bella and Rod's child and allow her to have some sort of family at least in her mind and proper education? Was Delphi so remarkable even as a child that anyone upon looking at her would have immediately seen her father in her? Is that why she couldn't attend Hogwarts? Let's humour the terrible choice here, but Scorpius was rumoured to be Voldemort's son all his life and no one went for his head. He was allowed to go to school. All he got was a little bullying.
(Also why a rumour about a child of Voldemort's was even circulating in the first place? How is it possible that so many people believed in it while literally everyone perceived Vold as some sort of ethereal idea of evil? Was the rumour circulating because Delphi's existence wasn't that secret after all among the Wizarding elite?)
And even allowing as paramount for Delphi to spend her childhood hidden, still her isolation, abuse and neglect don't add up. They were unnecessary and could have been easily prevented. What I'm trying to say is, this characterisation is pretty bad and confusing, but it also feels very deliberate if we take it seriously.
The implication is honestly chilling. It would mean not only Narcissa was directly responsible for both the deaths of Delphi's parents, but that also her hatred for Voldemort and her sister (the same sister that worried about her and protected her family till the end) run so deep as to purposely condemn her niece (an innocent child) to a life of abuse and abandonment without a second thought. I doubt the Malfoys didn't know Rowle's character; and if they didn't know, Narcissa literally took her sister's child, abandoned her in all ways but economically in the hands of a stranger, and never spared her another thought. It cannot help but feel like hatred and retribution.
Also, why did Euphemia Rowle despise Delphi so? Rowle was a loyal Death Eater, so she must have shared his same ideology. If not, if she for some reason hated Voldemort (for the ideology or maybe because Rowle - her husband? Son? Brother? - died for nothing), she wasn't aware Delphi was the Dark Lord's daughter, so why torment a child for it? Out of mere pettiness and frustration? Because she was just despicable? No, probably because Delphi too had to be literarily destined to a childhood of abuse, just like Voldemort and Harry had been, to make once again Harry appear the saint, the hero so noble to the point of not being "morally" affected by pain and horror. And this really enrages me, in the very same way I'm always outraged at the thought of how Voldemort's childhood was treated in the original novels.
Also, why didn't Delphi inherit the immense wealth that was hers by birthright? Surely we cannot believe the entire fortune of Blacks and Lestranges was officially confiscated? It wasn't during the first war, when Bella, Rod and Rabastan had literally tortured to insanity two aurors? It wasn't when Sirius was sent to prison? Where did everything go? To Harry and Narcissa? So Narcissa stole even Delphi's inheritance, on top of everything else?
This directly leads to the most important of all these points: am I to believe that Voldemort and Bellatrix, I repeat Voldemort and Bellatrix, political leader/mastermind and general in times of war, didn't have an emergency plan in place for the well-being and future of their child in case something went wrong? Am I to believe that plan was a hateful old woman and a life of abandonment and neglect? Am I to believe Bella and Rod didn't think of a way to be sure their wealth would have gone to Delphi, officially or not?
And talking about Rodolphus, how could he know the new prophecy? And why didn't he help Delphi fulfil it? Where was he? Did he deliver this bomb only to drop dead at her feet? Also, why was the cause not secretly restored around Delphi? Why was she left so alone, even politically?
All this makes very little sense to me. Since I have to accept all of this as canon, I can only go this far with logic. Still, it's beyond unsatisfying, isn't it?
In a more plausible world, Delphi would have grown up with some Black or Lestrange distant relative, maybe in France or somewhere else in Europe, a spoiled child with the sensation of a great future ahead and a huge secret looming somewhere behind her, but that no one wanted to confess, until her stubbornness would have brought her to eventually find everything out by her own and made her venture to fulfil the destiny she knew was she was born to embody.
But sadly, we have The Cursed Child instead.

Hey...how ya'll doing...
So, making those memes actually, helped a lot and guess who was able to write more for the Tethered au? Ya boi, that's who. With each story I write, it gets longer so I'm sorry about that!
@yandere-linked-universe I know you said I didn't need to rush but your encouragement literally just slapped me outta my writer's block so once again this one's for you!
Tw: yandere content, bad language, talk about death, talk about unhealthy obsession, possessive language, threatening language, intimidation, possible manic episode(?) descriptions of a weapon, descriptions of hurting a minor (?), talk about suffocation, imagery of drowning (?), talk about corpses and rotting (I swear every story I write gets more and more warnings, sorry guys-)
Darkness surrounded him, thick and suffocating to the point where Time was positive he was drowning in it.
A sea of shadow, merciless and cold that was going to kill the hero without even a second thought.
Time grabbed his neck, the scream that struggled to tear from his throat practically choking him while he tried to fight the shadows that tried to silence him, to end him, but he was resilient, after fighting all those horrors of the past, Ganon, The Mask- he wouldn’t die here.
“Link!”
He wouldn’t!
“Link! Grab my hand!”
His own hand reached out and he was ripped away from his impending doom, hacking and dazed while his saviour patted his back, murmuring words of encouragement and love.
Glancing down, the hero felt his heart lift with admiration.
“(Name)?” Time whispered, watching you press your face into his broad chest with a sigh of relief, whispering his name like it was a prayer on your lips.
It should have been him speaking like that, uttering your name in the perfect mantra; you were his goddess, his angel, his light! The one who had saved him from his own self-inflicting demise! Time would continue to pray like the devoted (mad)man he was. For you were his goddess and he was your follower.
“You’re okay, you’re alright” Nuzzling deeper into his chest, you continued “You’re safe”
He was. Here, within your arms, Time felt more protected than he ever had. Despite the fact it should be the other way, you in his arms as he protected you from the world, this cruel, dirty world that tried to take you away, tear you away but it would never happen.
“I saved you, but….you didn’t save me”
…wait-
Time tried to tighten his grip on you but you pushed him away, red, bloody tears falling down your face and staining your beautiful skin that had greyed in colour by death, eyes glazed over with betrayal, hurt and sadness that made his stomach form sickening knots. “Why didn’t you save me, Link?”
No….
“I- I didn’t know” He stumbled, hand reaching out “I promise you, (Name), my goddess, I would have never let you die-”
“But you did” Your face began to rot “You did, Time”
It was sickening, flesh rotted and fell, one of your eyeballs popped and oozed from your socket, lips torn showed managed teeth, bone peaked through- he couldn’t bear the sight of your broken face and looked away.
He shouldn’t have done that.
“Look at me, Time!”
A gnarled hand roughly grabbed his chin, bringing him back but he shut his eyes, whimpers falling from his throat. “Please, I’m sorry, don’t make me-”
“I said look at me! Look at what you and your precious brothers did! What sort of followers would allow this to happen!? Such insolence to the one you love most!” Ripping your hand away, you pushed him to the floor, a once flesh being now only bones and torn clothes “Who would allow such a thing? Who would allow such a failure? I thought you were better than that, Hero of Time”
He was small. He was young. He didn’t bear the marks of a war god, nor his scar. Young Time stared up, Kokiri clothes and all and watched as your form changed into that of something more hideous, more frightening, more gut-wrenching than he could ever imagine.
Hylia stared back down at him and sneered.
“It starts again, dear hero”
Time awoke in his hut.
And for the first time in a long one, the young hero wept his night away till morning light.
-----
“What ails you, Link?”
The Deku Tree, old and wise, was a father to all the Kokiri, children of the forest and he cared for each and everyone as deep as his roots went within the earth. So magnificent, so strong, so kind but at that moment Time only saw him as a nuisance, the boy-once-man wanting only to wallow in self-pity alone from the other children.
Staying in his hut would only bring others concern, well, him hiding would also bring the others concern, however, it was better to hide than for one of the Kokiri's to come find him in his blues, away in his home.
But then again, maybe hiding under one of the revealed roots of the Deku Tree wasn't the greatest place either.
He should have gone deeper into the forest.
"Nothing, Deku Tree" He spoke, burying himself deeper into his knees to hide his face "I just want to be alone"
"Alone?" The old pile of wood creaked with curiosity, "Dear Link, I have never heard you say such a word"
Time hummed with annoyance.
"Your friends worry, why not join them? They are sure to pull you from this stupor you have found yourself in"
"No, I don't think they will"
"You never know until you try, Link"
How could someone so wise not take a damn hint?
“Fine” Without another word, the young hero stood, brushing down his little, green tunic before practically storming off from the giant, old tree without another glance to its face “Goodbye, Deku Tree”
There was silence for a few moments, a silence that Time had questioned the old pile of splinters couldn’t have given him earlier before a loud hum resonated through the area, a strong breeze ruffling through his hair once the Deku Tree called out to him “Goodbye, Link. Have fun with your friends”
‘Friends’ He almost scoffed at the idea.
Time had no friends in this place. Not really, maybe Saria could have been considered a friend but then again she felt more like a caretaker than an actual buddy; he had realised once he had matured the Kokiri girl acted more mother than friend in his life and in reality, she probably was more of a mother. Saria had raised him alongside the Great Deku Tree, she of course played a huge part of the physical part of parenting because well, the damn tree obviously couldn’t.
The others were sure to have played a part in his upbringing as well. They had to have been.
Even- “Hey, Link!” -Mido.
You liked to say weird things (Weird things that he missed so much hearing, he missed you saying, he missed you. Why did that witch have to kill you? Why, why, why, whywhywhywhywhywhYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY-) some odd little phrases that the others liked to pick up and mimic. Time was no stranger to this, after all hearing them speak your language always put a smile to your face that they all cherished and he had picked a particular saying to adapt to his own dialect.
“Speak of the devil-” The blonde growled, watching Mido and his lackeys inch closer with every step “And he will appear”
Time had no idea what the devil was.
But he was positive that damn Kokiri brat was close enough to him.
“What do you want, Mido?” The fierceness in Time’s tone wasn’t something Mido was expecting. The young hero could tell by the boy’s face, wide eyes, mouth agape- sure, Time wasn’t one to back down on Mido’s bullying, in fact, he always stood up for himself, always stood his ground against the Kokiri’s behaviour and Mido wasn’t new to that.
But it wasn’t his tone that stopped him. No, it was the look in the boy’s eyes. Cold, unforgiving and old, an unfamiliar and scary lust for blood also swirled around in the light of his eyes, strong and constant, terrifying to the boy and almost enough for him to back down.
Almost.
“W-Who said you could go to see the Great Deku Tree without me, the leader of the Kokiri’s, Mido’s, permission?!” He stumbled, swallowing the ball of saliva in his throat when Time’s eyes narrowed and the scowl that was burned into his face sank deeper than it should have. “No-fairy freaks should stay away from the Deku Tree if they know what’s good for them!”
Time stayed silent.
Mido’s hands shook.
His lackeys took a wary step back.
“Then show me” Time growled, hands balling into enraged fists “Show me what’s good for them, Mido.”
The Kokiri boy wondered if that was a good idea.
Mido wondered if it was safer to run out of the woods than to face whatever this thing was because it was definitely not Link. Not the Link he knew anyway.
“I- uh- I-...”
“Link! Mido!” Saria’s voice came into range, the green-haired Kokiri’s form appearing beside the smaller boy to glare down Mido who was still stumbling over his words, trying to find his voice through the fear glancing between the two of them “What are you two doing? Mido, are you antagonising Link again!?”
Time was done with this.
“Link? Link!” Saria called after the boy, the group of Kokiri’s that had formed watching the scene in interest as Time wandered away from them all, his sights set on the entrance to the Lost Woods “Hey, wait! The Deku Tree says to stay away from the forest! Link!”
Footsteps followed after him, a hand landing on his shoulder but he tore away glaring at the offender, Saria, before bellowing out “Leave me alone!”
The girl looked hurt, of course, she did but why should Time care? Back to the beginning once again. Forced to live the same nightmare once again.
Why should Time care about doing this shit again the same way he had done time and time again?
(He wanted to be with his brothers, he wanted to be with you. You wouldn’t leave his mind. You, you, you, you. A constant rush of everything about you spiralling in his head. He needed you, he yearned for you. He thought about you from the morning till the night. In his dreams and sometimes his nightmares, unspeakable things happening to you that he can’t stop- that he couldn’t stop. Time wanted nothing more than to have you in his arms, safe and hear you tell him that he was a great man, an amazing man, he was your hero.
You, in all your divine kindness, wouldn’t allow him to relive his worst nightmares again like Hylia was doing)
Time ran into the forest, not sparing them another glance.
He didn’t want to see them again anyway.
Not anymore.
-----
Time dreamed of your lives together.
When he was just confused about his obsession, a lone man against 8 different incarnations of himself, you were his wife. His treasured wife, so kind, so soft, the most beautiful woman in all the lands of Hyrule. People wanted you, others wanted to be you and some envied dear Time for being the lucky man to wed such a marvellous girl.
You were his alone, his to love, his to cherish. Together, you two created your own family away from the dangerous world and together, with your small family, children, animals- together you would both continue to love one another until your final breaths.
When he and his brothers finally unified, the dream still stood but it did differ. A farm, you lived on a farm with your children, your animals and all those other boys. A big happy family, the other Links acting as uncles to your little ones, helping around the ranch, you sitting back with the kids watching them because someone as divine as you shouldn’t lift a finger.
As Time sat in the Lost Woods, he lamented that his dreams would never become reality.
No.
Not with you dead.
And certainly not with Hylia watching his every move.
He’d kill her.
A smirk fought its way onto his face at the thought, a crazed laugh following after.
He would.

Time would make sure of it.
“Hehehe~”
His smile dropped, replaced with an irksome expression.
Skull Kid.
He didn’t have the patience to deal with that brat.
Not a damn shred.
“Hey, will you slow down!” Time paused at the laughter that followed, turning to catch a glimpse of the bright green of Kokiri dressing whizz past the area where he sat, boxed in by trees and hidden with the extra measure by a bush “SK! No fair!”
“Hurry up! Hurry up! I wanna play~”
“We’ve been playing for the past few hours!”
“But I wanna play some more!”
He…recognised that voice.
It sounded younger, squeaker and more childish, but he knew that voice. It would never leave his mind, it played on loop in his head, soothed his nightmares, haunted his dreams.
Time stood from his spot.
"This way! This way!"
His head flew in the direction of Skull Kid's voice and waited for another second.
A long, long second.
"I'm coming!"
Time's heart skipped a beat.
He had no time to waste, without another second to think the hero leapt into action, throwing his head left and right before hightailing it into the direction in which the voices were beginning to fade.
It couldn’t be possible. There was no way what he was thinking was true, but it was the only answer. Well, not the only, another stalked in the corner of his mind, taunting and cruel, snarling about how he was losing his mind, much worse than it had been when he and the others had first started to fall in love with (obsess over) you.
So, each step he took, banging against the forest floor as he sprinted towards the sound of laughter and joy. His body urged him to move faster, to run harder but as said before, he wasn’t his aged self anymore, his little legs could only go at such a pace and it was infuriating him.
Almost there, almost there-
Time broke daylight, stumbling through a dense looking bush before finally skidding to a stop just a few feet away from the scene in front of him, hidden in the shadow of leaves.
Skull Kid stood upon a tree stump, flute to his mouth and hopping from step to step in a sort of dance along with the sweet and joyful music he played. But that wasn’t the sight Time had focused on, no, it was the little Kokiri dressed child below, spinning playfully and swaying around, in a mind of their own.
There was no denying it. The same beautiful locks, same skin tone, same eyes, same kind smile and everything.
A younger you danced along with Skull Kid, singing your own little tune along with the flute in the spotlight of the day.
…Time’s sight was beginning to go red.
No, no. It couldn’t be, this child, who danced so freely and happily without a care in the world, couldn’t have possibly been the same, sweet, mischievous angel he had come to know and love with every inch of his being. A woman who hailed from a completely different world, who stayed with him in spirit as he went through that cursed journey, was not the little girl before him, he refused to believe it, he couldn’t.
“Is this my punishment, Hylia?” He whispered, cold and deadly eyes focused on the fake you “Not only did you make me witness her lifeless body, but now this? How cruel can you be-”
The wind blew softly.
“-to mock her?”
From his spot, Time reached to his back. Earlier, he had grabbed the sword stationed near the edge of the forest for protection. The Lost Forest wasn’t somewhere to stroll about unprotected, monsters could be lurking in any corner, within the shadows on the trees and as an experienced adventurer, Link knew better than to go unprepared.
“Well-” The sound of metal caught his ears, but the others still played, blissfully unaware “-let me show you what I think of your fun little joke”
As he stalked closer, Time couldn’t help but feel a sickness form in his gut. His body screamed for him to stop, spat at him that he was a blinded fool, what was he doing!? But he pushed through, after all, you were a fake, a phoney- killing this fake little you was just like killing that Yiga Clan bastard who had disguised themself as you to trick them during his journey with his brothers.
The Hero of Time wouldn’t be tricked.
Skull Kid noticed his appearance, a smile blooming on his face before it melted into one of horror.
The Hero of Time wouldn’t be fooled.
Skull Kid went to call out to you, but you had already turned, the small smile on your face growing greater as you called the hero’s name.
“Link!”
Stop, you fool!
It’s not her, it’s not.
You raced over.
Now is your chance!
DON’T DO IT!
DO IT!
STOP!
DON’T KILL HER-
“Dance with me!”
A wave of emotions rushed through his body as your little hand grabbed at his free one, tugging him into the sunlight peeking through the trees and prompting him to take a position, successfully making him drop his sword. Your bright, warm eyes peered up into his own dazed and conflicted ones then glanced over at Skull Kid expectantly.
The boy also looked conflicted, glancing over your excited face then at Time’s.
“What are you waiting for SK? Start jamming!”
Another second passed, a tense second, then Skull Kid moved his flute back to his mouth and beautiful music once again filled the silence.
“Come on!”
What the two of you were doing wouldn’t have been considered…dancing. You swung him in circles, jumping about, threw him out just to tug him back in, tried to spin him- doing anything that showed your rampant energy.
And Time couldn’t help to think back to you- the real you.
“What are you doing here?”
You sat, tucked into yourself while staring ahead at the festivities before you.
Castle Town had their fair share of festivals, Time knew, he had been dragged to enough of them by Malon who wished to experience the live, jovial atmosphere with a friend and once upon a time ago, the hero had a fondness deep in his heart for them. They reminded him of Kokiri village, of the Deku Festival that he loved so much.
That wasn’t to say Time had fallen out of love with Festivals, of course, he hadn’t! But being the Hero of Time, being a hero of Hyrule, there wasn’t much time for such things.
“Oh, hey Time!, What's up?” You laughed, but it didn’t quite reach your eyes and a multitude of thoughts raced through the hero’s head. Why did you look so sad? Had someone upset you? Did he need to talk with them? Did he need to get the others? Roll a few heads- Time shook his head, pushing the thoughts out of his mind and focused on you instead, showing you a small smile.
“I noticed you sitting by yourself” Noticed? Pfft, he’d been staring at you the whole night, as had the others, but he was the first to approach you “What’s wrong? Are you not enjoying the festival?”
If that was the case, they’d leave in a heartbeat. Forget about Malon, or Zelda, or any others who thought about stopping them, your wish was their command.
“No! No! That’s not it! It’s just-...” Your eyes trailed off towards the fountain, the man’s gaze following straight after to the people who danced merrily to the music that echoed through the Castle Town streets, laughing or squealing in elation “..This is a music festival and I…I dunno how to dance…It’s embarrassing”
Really? Something so simple had caused your mood to sour? If someone dared say anything about your movements he would lob off their head without a second thought. You, feeling embarrassed? With them there, you wouldn’t have to feel anything but happiness, that’s what they had dedicated their lives for.
Time brushed off his tunic, standing tall beside you before offering his hand “You needn’t be embarrassed, I can teach you”
His heart soared when your expression brightened “Really?”
“Of course”
His hand encompassed yours, delicate, soft, so sweet and he brought you closer to the crowd, his free hand landing politely on your waist while yours took his shoulder, squeezing it.
“Don’t be nervous, just focus on me” Blue eyes caught yours, your bodies beginning to move with the music, swaying side to side. “I’m the only one here, no one else is around, just us”
Time wasn’t afraid to say he was enamoured by you, your mere existence, you were everything to him and more. Watching that smile, that beautiful, breathtaking smile grow on your face as you fell into the dance, your surroundings fading away.
“Thanks, Time”
He beamed “You’re welcome”
“Link?”
This couldn’t possibly be you.
But that little worried expression looked way too similar.
That shine of kindness in your eyes reflected painfully.
The feeling of warmth that your presence brought was way too familiar.
Link began to move again, holding you close, hands in his and danced. Just like at the festival, that day in Castle Town, where the world faded to black and all he could see was you, because that was all he needed to see.
You brightened immediately but the worry stayed, not overwhelming but still very much there “Are you okay, Link?”
He didn’t know.
“Yeah, I’m okay”
But as long as you were here, real or not, as long as you were by his side, he was gonna be alright.
“Great! Let’s play some more! All of us! We’ll have so much fun together!”
“Yeah” Time’s eyes slid back over to Skull Kid, bright and menacing while the boy shook, the light that was his eyes shining through his mask jumping between you and the hero who wound his arms around you “So much fun, together”
Skull Kid made an excuse to leave with only a single stutter to his words.
A smart move.
-----
“I knew you’d show up”
Your bed was across from his. He had no idea how he had missed it when waking up within his hut that morning, but his best guess was that the shock which gripped him was strong, blinding him completely until he had finally dazed out later that afternoon under the Deku Tree’s root.
You were sleeping soundly, face soft with a smile, practically wiped out after all the ‘fun activities you had done that day’ you had told him with glee, his own grin twitching from the rage he felt knowing he had gone thinking he’d never see you again the entire day only to find you were out playing adventurer with Skull Kid.
If the brat knew any better he wouldn’t be showing his face for a while.
You were dead asleep, deep in it, so you didn’t see the ethereal lady in white standing behind you, face impassive while she stared down at your sleeping form.
Time made sure to keep his sword close to his bed.
Not like it would do anything, but it brought him comfort knowing it was there.
“You were always such a smart child” Hylia’s voice was airy, soft, sweet-sounding like what a goddess should sound like. But the man knew better, oh he knew better and his eyes stayed sharp, focused on her form like a hawk watching its prey. “I was glad to see you snapped out of your bloodlust before it was too late- It would have been a painful death for her to die by your own hands”
Time inhaled shakily, his past actions echoing through his head before he pushed them back down- he knew what she was trying to do “Just like it was painful for her to die by your hands?”
The goddess hummed while her hand reached out for you, Time quickly stumbled to grab his sword beside him.
If she hurt you, so help him, he would-
Her hand landed in your hair, brushing back some locks gently from your eyes “Her death by my hand didn’t cause her any pain, I made sure she was comfortable when she took her last breath”
Time shook with rage “She didn’t deserve to die in the first place”
“I agree” Her hand caressed your cheek, a small smile blooming when you nuzzled into it when she made eye contact with him, daring him “Her kindness was destined to make her do great things, but my hero, you didn’t listen, you ignored my warnings and it was the only thing I could do to make you all behave”
For a few moments, they both just stared. Hylia’s presence was daunting to mortals, but Time had traversed the world for a long time, for too long, he had seen what this place had to offer, experienced things no child, teen, adult- anybody should experience and in the face of danger, from an all-powerful demon to a disgraced goddess, the hero would not show fear.
“Then why did you do this?” He asked finally, glancing over your form before meeting her eyes again “Why bring her back if she was such a distraction?”
Hylia retracted her hand to his relief, but that didn’t make him drop his guard. “To test your faith dear hero”
She made her way around your bed, footsteps not making a single sound against the wooden floor until she stood tall in front of him “Behave, Link, Hero of Time. Go on your journeys, defeat Ganon and the Mask, fulfil your duty as the hero of Hyrule and I will grant you a long, fruitful life with your love. But beware, one misstep, a show of defiance-”
She leaned down, eyes burning “And I will take her away again, even if I have to do so with her screams being the last thing you hear”
Time didn’t hold back his expression of horror at her blatant threat.
“Goodbye, my hero”
The home fell into darkness, her figure disappearing from view with her glaring light.
Time fell to his knees, clasping at his chest, the sword rattling beside him as it fell.
A familiar sound of beating wings caught his attention next, the light of a long lost friend flying through his window.
“Hey, Link! (Name)!”
And so, the nightmare begins.

Okay, you surprised me with how cool your Unknown headcanons were.
How about some yandere headcanons (including NSFW if you feel like it) with Ray? Maybe a result of his first Bad Ending?
Hello again darling!
It makes me happy to hear that you enjoyed the Unknown headcanon! I haven’t unlocked this bad ending personally but I tried my best to get an understanding of what happens, hope you’ll like this ^^
WARNING!
Slight NSFW, obsessive tendencies and unhealthy relationships! Another story spoilers! Our marshmallow boy needs therapy T.T
Yandere Ray Bad ending 1
- Bend him and break him for your happiness. Your laughter is like oxygen to him, without it he cannot live.
- Ray is worthless if he can’t do this right. This is all he wanted, to serve you, continue worship you and you bending him to your will.
- Anything to satisfy you. He is desperate to please you, he’ll work harder than before, he’ll cut down on sleep, 3 hours sleep is too much anyways. If he can spend that time wasted on sleep than he is no different from that red haired slacker.
- By dominating him you are keeping him in check, especially from getting ideas. He should not think on his own or question anything, continue to keep him at bay, just like how the Saviour has done up till this point.
- Ray is delusional, impossibly so! He believes this is love, that he is meant to attend to your needs and desires. Please use him! Use him more! To your hearts content until he is useless. Ray knows he is worthless yet you show him mercy by letting him stay by your side.
- It only means that you like him, right?
- Demand more from him. Don’t let him rest until you are truly satisfied. As long as you keep giving him attention. Don’t. ever. stop.
- He worships the very floor you walk on and the air you breath, you deserve the best of the best. He shall provide you of everything you’ll ever need and more!
- He is so happy to be by your side! It gives Ray great joy to be of use to you. It pains him that his mortal body is barely going, the exhaustion and unhealthy habits he has developed is causing him to get behind on work and serving you. It’s unacceptable to the standard that he has.
- He is by far the most delusional person. He always insists your words are absolute, a holy scripture; the law, his law. You are a goddess and his is the worshipper. You are his salvation and he defends everything you do. You could be stepping on him, quite literally and he will deem it as a nessecity for your feet to not get sullen or dirtied by the floor (which is thoroughly clean, by all means). Ray would never allow you in a room he thinks to be beneath you or even a little dusty, only the absolute best for you is to be provided. It’s a job he takes very seriously.
- Ray is completely devoted to you and he knows no limits.
- He is so delusional it’s pitiful, he just doesn’t understand that you don’t like him, it simply isn’t a possibility in his mind.
- He puts you so high up on a pedestal that his mind fills in the gaps for you, that you deep down love him too. That you do the things you do to keep him from getting distracted by you and actually get work done, a task of most importance to serve you.
- Ray respects your needs and wishes and wouldn't question any of them. No words are above yours, it is certainly true, especially now that the Saviour is favouring you and deemed you worthy as someone equal to her. He couldn’t be more proud.
- As time passes Ray finds himself begging more often, fear strikes him when he sees your bored, displeased face. He is certain that he could do better, even if it costs his health.
- Anything as long as you don’t make that displeased expression.
- Praises from you are rare but well worth it on the very few occasions you do. Ray has them all memorised and it just makes him fall for you all over again. It energises him to keep working hard. To serve you to the best of his ability.
- But when you give a displeased look and say that he isn’t of any use to you, that his performance has been decreasing lately, he'd cry and beg you to stay. Kneeling down, clutching at your legs in a desperate hold, saying that he's too weak and pathetic for not being able to make you smile anymore. Calling himself useless and selfish for begging you to let him stay by your side and not leave him alone even when he is worthless. It’s the greates of all mercies that could ever bestow him, for him to remain by your side even if he is insignificant.
- He is never allowed to directly meet your eyes unless you give him permission to raise his head up, instead he always has to bow down to you, and he goes to the extent of bowing on his knees and kiss your feet.
- He relishes in your touch.
- He is completely and utterly obsessed with you. If you thought he was obsessive before then now, as a loyal servant of yours, he will be utterly intoxicated with you.
Slight NSFW
- What you partake in is a ritual, one involving your pleasure only.
- For you to do whatever with him, wether that is tying him up and never letting him cum, or simply having him pleasure you in all the right spots but denying him your touch. It’s always about your pleasure and your mood. Depending on how generous you feel he might receive a reward too.
- There is nothing out of place or awkward in whatever role is assigned to him and Ray is more than happy to pleasure you. It fuels his pride that he is able to make you feel so good and even better that he gets to touch you!
- To make sure he isn’t lacking he will study more, being gullible and dense is something he can afforded, he’d be damned if he turned you off.
- Ray is quick to learn how to seduce you, how to push your buttons just in the right way, but he is just as much vulnerable to be tempted by you.
- You are in absolute control of him, if you want him to be assertive it is still under the control you have over him.
- He has fully submitted himself to you; body, mind, soul, and the most important one, his heart.

Witch Hats and Prejudice Part II
<-- Part I
Olruggio, my love, my man, I’m sorry your proposal to Qifrey in chapter 40 didn’t go as you hoped, let’s sit down and discuss your workaholism, temper issues and saviour complex, yes? Yes. It’s couple therapy time at last, we’ll have a look at Qifrey and Olruggio’s relationship and at chapter 40 in particular through the following points:
-Panelling in the Orufrey conversation in chapter 40
-Prejudice and power imbalance in Qifrey and Olruggio’s interactions
-Help as a collaboration between equals (spoiler: they haven’t made it to that stage yet)
-What Olruggio wants from Qifrey
Panelling in the Orufrey conversation in chapter 40
The conversation in chapter 40 is never framed as a happy reunion. If we reuse the analysis of the panels from Coco and Qifrey’s conversation I made in my previous post, we find the same markers of unease between Olruggio and Qifrey. Most of the panels are narrow, and get darker and darker as night falls. Qifrey and Olruggio rarely share a panel, and even when they do, they rarely make direct eye contact: Qifrey looks down, or Olruggio walks away from him, or they are curled in on themselves or standing on a slope at different eye level. For a while Qifrey is up in the air and mostly talking to himself. Oh yeah, and there’s a hat that gets in the way at some point.
It gives the sense that they are having two separate conversations, and that they never truly achieve the connection that we saw between Qifrey and Coco. On top of that, while the conversation is supposed to be about comforting Qifrey and earning his trust, Olruggio never manages to get a smile out of him, except for wobbly, miserable little grimaces. So what’s going through both of their heads, and why are they failing to meet halfway?
The chapter has an outward pull to it. The scene takes place on a slope that leads away from the atelier. The chapter opens with a herd of dragons flying away and into the night. Then Qifrey takes flight to look into the distance, while giving a very contradictory speech about how fulfilling yet dull his life is here, how happy yet trapped in an illusion he feels. He has to hold on to his cape as it flaps in the wind. It brings those dragons back to mind, like they are a metaphor for the side of him that wishes to escape. Qifrey’s migration season is just starting folks, it’s a confusing time for him okay.
Tumblr media
In contrast to Qifrey looking ahead into a dark wilderness, Olruggio in this chapter is almost always looking back. He walks away from Qifrey to talk to him over his shoulder, or he looks back towards the atelier. In the only scene where he faces Qifrey full-on, the past is so present on his mind that he de-ages them both. It’s interesting, because it adds a caveat to his pledge of listening to everything Qifrey has to say: he is not so much trying to adapt to Qifrey’s new situation as he is trying to bring them back to the childhood stage of their friendship, when they were always together and kept no secret.
This whole looking ahead / looking back dichotomy brings me back to the mentality of the Great Hall, a society obsessed with keeping itself in an insulated bubble, wrapping itself in good intentions and noble ideals, and ignoring its own inner darkness and complexity. Qifrey, because of his inability to be content and stay in place, threatens that delicate balance. That sends the other witches around him into such a state of panic and outrage that even those who genuinely love him end up lashing out at him with uncharacteristic brutality.
Prejudice and power imbalance in Qifrey and Olruggio’s interactions
I have described in my previous post how vicious and oddly personal Beldaruit got in his attacks against Qifrey in chapter 36, but you can make the same case for Olruggio, especially since the two scenes run in parallel. There is something excessive about the violence with which Olruggio confronts his friend. For one, he is choosing a hell of a time to do it: the girls are safe, there is no urgency to press Qifrey for answers right this instant – except if he is hoping to shock Qifrey into honesty while he’s disoriented. Qifrey has just woken up from a three-day coma; he is half-naked in a place Olruggio knows worsens his nightmares; his scar is exposed; he is half-blind because Olruggio has taken his glasses; Olruggio is literally an angry dark blob looming over him. I’ve often heard it say that Qifrey is manipulative towards Olruggio, but in return Olruggio isn’t above using intimidation tactics against him, consciously or not.
Tumblr media
There is also the staggering lack of empathy of the approach: what started this whole thing is that Olruggio learnt about Qifrey’s impending blindness. And his knee-jerk reaction was to attack Qifrey about it. Like, um, my dude, your friend almost died, he is going to go blind and lose his job, you wanna try being sensitive about it? (Note that Qifrey running after the Brimhats didn’t trouble Olruggio that much at first: after his interview with the Knights Moralis he is mainly concerned with “getting his story straight with Qifrey”; it’s only later on, when we see him staring at the glasses he’s just repaired, that he starts voicing his doubts about Qifrey’s intentions). He may be right to suspect that Qifrey is hiding things from him, but there’s a pretty big leap between “you are keeping secrets” and “you are wilfully using your own child as bait”.
This whole suspicious climate, that makes Olruggio jump straight to the ugliest conclusion possible, is once again a feature of the Great Hall mentality. The mind of a person who has been in contact with forbidden magic is forever corrupt, and his actions are forever suspect. Had Qifrey been anyone else, he would probably have been given the benefit of the doubt for losing track of his students while he was, you know, extremely concussed and suffering from blood loss. Interestingly, Olruggio’s concern – whether, when faced with a chance to go after the Brimhats, Qifrey would choose his quest over his students’ safety – is addressed as early as chapter 22: after an instinctive movement to rush into danger, Qifrey pulls himself back and takes measures to keep Coco and Tetia safe, and even plans to call Olruggio and the Knights Moralis as reinforcements to help rescue the others. Then he gets hit in the head by a giant snake golem, and the rest is history.
Tumblr media
In general, Beldaruit’s and Olruggio’s accusations that Qifrey is using Coco as bait without caring for her wellbeing just don’t hold up. First, all the attacks by the Brimhats so far have occurred in completely mundane, teaching-related settings with other adults present (at the stationary shop, or during an exam), so pushing blame onto Qifrey clearly comes from prejudice rather than evidence. Second, if Qifrey’s sole aim was to get clues on the Brimhats, he would pressure Coco into taking the Librarian test as early as possible, but we keep seeing the opposite: he encourages her to take breaks and to enjoy her training rather than be laser-focused on her goals. Hilariously, out of the two tests Coco passed so far, Qifrey gave his approval for none, thinking it was too early for her (extra-hilariously, Beldaruit is the one who speed-ran Coco through her second test). I’m just saying, if Olruggio hasn’t noticed any of this and can’t take it in consideration before bringing out the accusations and threats, maybe he’s not doing that good a job as a Watchful Eye.
Another thing about this climate of suspicion, added to the power imbalance between Qifrey and Olruggio, is that it prevents them from having a healthy fight. Olruggio invokes his duties as Watchful Eye to berate Qifrey whenever he steps out of line, but when Olruggio lets his temper carry him too far and misuses his own power (when he drags Coco out to the Knights Moralis even though she had already been officially accepted as an apprentice in volume 2, or when he accuses Qifrey of using Coco as bait in volume 7 without proof), Qifrey never criticises him for doing so. It’s not that he is shy about speaking up to power – he is more than happy to yell at Beldaruit and Easthies when they mistreat his students. But when it comes to Olruggio, Qifrey is compelled to shoulder as much blame as he can, and seems almost afraid of saying anything negative to him.
It would have been justified for Qifrey to start chapter 40 by getting mad at Olruggio for his earlier accusations: Olruggio had been insensitive, unhelpful and completely out of line. But instead Qifrey pretty much encourages Olruggio to attack him again: from his “I thought you might be mad at me” to frantically denying that Olruggio might have ever done anything wrong. In return, there is something defensive in Olruggio’s delivery during the “I’m angry that I wasn’t someone you could trust” segment: he walks away from Qifrey as he gives the non-apology, and it comes out sandwiched between criticisms of Qifrey for being reckless and a long speech of Olruggio praising himself, and how everything would be alright if only Qifrey behaved himself and relied on him more. It’s an issue that this old distribution of roles is so well-entrenched between them, with Olruggio as the golden student and Qifrey as the eternal problem child.
Qifrey’s exaggerated gentleness and praise towards Olruggio participates in the feeling of wrongness that weighs on chapter 40. The memory erasure scene is framed like a kiss, and Qifrey keeps complimenting him even after sending him into an unnatural sleep. It would come across as condescending and manipulative, except for how fervently Qifrey seems to want to believe that Olruggio is perfect, and that any dysfunction in their relationship has to come from him.
Qifrey, focused as he is on his own dark secrets, is utterly unwilling to see any darkness in Olruggio. It makes sense when you consider that Qifrey has also been absorbing the prejudices of the Great Hall: he thinks very little of himself, and has probably been looking up to Olruggio as a moral compass ever since Olruggio took him under his wing as a child. He must also comfort himself with the thought that, when/if his quest drags him away from the atelier, Olruggio will be a perfect teacher for the girls. Having to come to terms with Olruggio’s flaws must be terrifying to him. But what about Olruggio’s perspective in all this?
Olruggio is an example of how even those who materially benefit from an elitist, close-minded society are damaged by it in some way. He grew up in the Great Hall as a bright-eyed, idealistic genius, and even as an adult he clings to the principles of that society like a mantra: “bring the blessings of magic to the people”. He is successful and respected by his peers, popular with the nobles and well-liked among the commoners. Yet somewhere along the way he became a ragged, workaholic hermit.
I have mentioned in previous posts that I suspect Olruggio of grappling with his own, deep-seated fear of being unwanted and left behind. He betrays that fear in the way he is attacking Qifrey: his concerns about Qifrey’s treatment of Coco aren’t based on evidence, and underneath that veneer he is mostly complaining that Qifrey is neglecting him. “Be straight with me”, “Don’t lie to me”, “You wouldn’t even tell me about it”, “You took her as a student without a word to me first”. There again, Olruggio is being a bit hazy on how far his influence goes as Watchful Eye: from what we know, Watchful Eyes are meant to ensure that students don’t get mistreated, but they don’t get a say in who teaches whom: it’s the disciples who choose their masters. Olruggio grumbling about Qifrey adopting more and more children behind his back is cute when we treat them as a couple. But from the perspective of their professional relationship, Olruggio is claiming the right to veto Qifrey’s students and take them away from him without any evidence of abuse.
The problem is that Olruggio is very bad at expressing his feelings without using his job, and therefore his authority, as a crutch. It’s endearing when he uses it to explain away his gifts to the girls (“I just want them to test a prototype”) or his marks of affection and care (“Drying your hair so you don’t catch a cold is part of my duties as Watchful Eye!”). However, it adds a layer of threat to his arguments with Qifrey, because he is constantly dangling that authority over his head, even when he is urging Qifrey to trust him. In his more agitated moments, it turns into a one-man good-cop / bad-cop performance (“Step out of line and I’ll report you” / “Why won’t you confide in me? I’m your best friend!”). Sure, he is willing to side with Qifrey against the Knights Moralis when he deems it appropriate, but here’s the catch: Olruggio gets to decide where the line in the sand lies, and that line seems to shift depending on how hot his temper is flaring at any given time.
It’s no wonder their conversation lends them in a dead-end when it is so one-sided. Thourghout the manga, and in volume 8 in particular, the author explores the idea that help should be a collaborative effort between equals, that encourages both parties to grow and learn more about themselves. Trying to unilaterally “save” someone is almost guaranteed to miss the mark and come across as condescending; it might even cause further harm.
Help as a collaboration between equals
Therefore, Qifrey and Olruggio can’t really come to any connection unless they make it clear that they are helping each other, not just endlessly acting out their roles as the golden student who knows all the right answers, and the problem child who must be saved from himself.
Aside from the framing, help as an equivalent exchange is the other key difference between chapter 40 and Qifrey and Coco’s dialogue earlier in the volume. In order to counter Coco’s doubts and growing self-hatred, Qifrey reinforces everything he admires about Coco: from her social skills and capacity for teamwork to her practical skills and her straight lines. He reminds her of all the things that she achieved so far. He also strongly hints that her fight is his fight, too, and that they should hold onto hope for each other’s sake. Finally, he makes a (pretty dramatic, unnecessarily literal and definitely unsafe, but still awesome) leap of faith by letting her decide what direction she wants to take next. His support isn’t conditional on Coco making the “right” choice, but freely offered. In return, Coco makes a display of saving Qifrey as well, saying she wants him right by her side while she figures out her path. The rescue itself is symbolic (it would actually have been safer for Qifrey to go back on his own), but Qifrey’s gratitude is genuine, because Coco made him feel valued, irreplaceable, just as Beldaruit and Olruggio were making him doubt his place as a teacher.
By contrast, Olruggio’s speech of friendship contains a grand total of ONE compliment, served in such a back-handed way that it sounds almost like a warning: “To Coco, you are a good teacher, so don’t betray that trust”. This is weighted against a slurry of criticisms about Qifrey’s recklessness, and heaps of self-praise. Olruggio is making a case for why Qifrey needs help and why Olruggio is best-qualified to deliver that help, like he is making a sales pitch to a client. It’s probably not a coincidence that Olruggio is remembering his successful bout of diplomacy in chapter 39 as he gears himself for his conversation with Qifrey. Olruggio, look, I get that you have more faith in your professional persona than in your regular self, but you can’t talk to your best friend like you are doing customer service, it just doesn’t work that way.
The help that Olruggio offers leaves no room for Qifrey’s input: once Qifrey has confided everything and laid himself bare, Olruggio will pick apart “where he needs the help” and “when he is about to do something stupid”, and either support or stop him as he judges appropriate. It reinforces Qifrey’s inferiority complex and interiorised guilt, by implying that his moral compass can’t be trusted. It also places the blame for Qifrey’s rash actions solely on his lack of judgement, rather than on having to grapple with complex, life-threatening situations and being caught in a pincer between a terrorist group and an oppressive system. There’s no mention that the definition of what’s “lawful” and “responsible” and “just” has gotten a bit messed up lately, and that Olruggio himself has had to compromise with his duties to cover for the kids. Olruggio fakes confidence in his capacity to fix everything, and pretends that things can go back to the way they were, but it would have been more honest of him to ask Qifrey to work with him so they can form a united front to face their new, complex reality.
Instead, by claiming that he is helping Qifrey out of a sense of duty, as Watchful Eye and as a friend, Olruggio reinforces the feeling that Qifrey is a burden to him. This gives Qifrey more incentive to keep his friend away from his investigations, and to see himself as expendable. In that light, since their friendship brings Olruggio so much trouble and so few benefits, betraying him and stealing the memories that relate to Qifrey’s secrets start to look like the lesser evil.
The only way that the conversation in chapter 40 could have gone well is if they both freely admitted to needing each other. However, it is too early in Olruggio’s character arc to be honest about his own feelings and worries. And it is too early in Qifrey’s character arc to see past his own self-loathing and recognize that his “perfect” friend also needs support and guidance. Yet, when they do, it is hinted that Olruggio can draw inspiration from Qifrey, and help Qifrey in a more meaningful way by highlighting how Qifrey matters to him, letting them reach this stage of true collaboration.
What Olruggio wants from Qifrey
I think Olruggio is repressing a sense of disillusionment about his work, the fairness of the system, and his usefulness as a witch. We see glimpses of his anxiety in chapter 39 notably. While he says that his true role is to help the commoners, circumstances keep reminding him that like it or not, his main function is decorative. He gets dragged in on short notice to be yanked around by petty nobles and arrange light shows at weddings; he has to act in secret to help the destitute, and even then can only do so much before the rules of magic society get in his way. So far he manages to keep his head above water, using his talent for diplomacy and showmanship to keep the nobles appeased, and finding small, creative ways to help commoners without breaking any law. But it leaves him with the feeling of being trapped in an increasingly constraining role, and is slowly pushing him towards a burn out.
He seems to feel a kinship with princess Mia, who like him is used as a tool in petty squabbles between nobles. He even metaphorically puts himself in her shoes: after likening her situation to being trapped in the spotlight in a dance she doesn’t want, he applies the same metaphor to himself and his inability to act outside the narrow constraints of witch rules, of being constantly watched and judged. And then, adorably enough, Olruggio actually brings Qifrey into the metaphor. He muses that Qifrey, who has gone against established rules before, might be the key to escaping that dance.
For all that the “problem child” / “star student” dichotomy has been weighing on Olruggio and Qifrey and warping their friendship, there is a flip side to it as well. As a prodigy who always pressures himself to perform perfectly (to the point where he will work himself to a zombie-like state and then hide behind a mask to look perfect and pristine in front of his clients at parties, Olruggio no), Qifrey provides a chance at escapism. For all that he berates him for causing trouble, Olruggio seems to fondly remember their old adventures. It’s possible that he valued the opportunity to do rebellious, forbidden things without having to jeopardise his reputation. His fear of being left behind by Qifrey is then also a fear of losing his hope that, when the pressure of being the perfect witch becomes too much to bear, Qifrey will be there to break him free.
Tumblr media
In summary, Olruggio wants Qifrey to be his rebellious prince who breaks him free from the ballroom, and we respect him for it. Qifrey had his reasons for not being able to confide in him, and they both have a lot of character development to do before they can reach a stage of actual collaboration and trust. But I don’t dispute that taking his memories was a dick move. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

I honestly agree with a lot of your opinions, and even when I don't, I think that your arguments are always well structure and respectful to other people.
But I have some questions (and I'm sorry if you have already answer them), (also sorry for some of my English, it's not my first language)
How do you feel about narusaku?
How do you feel about people changing certain aspects about Sakura to try to improve her character?
How would you improve Sakura?
How much do you think Sakura being a good character could affect the story?
What was the moment you really started to ship SNS? And what are you favorite moments?
(Sorry if there's ro many questions)
I honestly agree with a lot of your opinions, and even when I don't, I think that your arguments are always well structure and respectful to other people.
Aww!!!! Thank you, Anon. This made my day. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I will start from my favourite question (The one in the last)
What was the moment you really started to ship SNS?
I never wore any shipping lens, Anon.
Literally, I started to ship SNS only after Episode 478 or Chapter 698. Before that, I always had these doubts in the back of my mind.
'Something seems to be very weird between these guys',
'Why are they behaving differently compared to other friends?',
'Why Sasuke is behaving totally different towards Naruto?',
'Why Sasuke agreed to honour Naruto's promise under the bridge, despite having no shred of affection towards his other former Team Members?',
'Why Naruto is so obsessed with Sasuke?',
'Why Sasuke felt Naruto's chakra in Konoha and bothered by it?',
'Why Sasuke is protecting Naruto like a precious treasure only to end up wanting to kill him?',
'Why Sasuke has this weird obsession that ONLY I CAN KILL NARUTO but not someone else?',
So, I had all these questions piling up one by one inside my mind as the series progressed and I can't simply jump into a conclusion because I don't know what Sasuke was thinking. I hate one-sided ship and I want reciprocation. So, I usually put all these questions on the back burner and started to focus on the story. Damn!!!, The story was equally captivating and emotionally daunting. When Sasuke finally confessed his feelings towards Naruto in Episode 478, I simply couldn't believe myself but ship them. Because, in no world, Friends would behave this way towards each other.
So, to answer your question, it's after Episode 478, I started to ship them. But if you want me to say when exactly I started to doubt their level of friendship??
It's this moment,
Tumblr media
Now you may think, 'Yeah, you saw two boys in a close proximity and decided to ship together. It's nothing strange'.
I have to say, Close proximity was the last thing, I felt from this scene. My reason was those heart breaking scenes that happened before which led to this specific moment.
I will make it as short as possible. I'll start with this
Tumblr media
God!! I wanted to punch Sasuke so badly when he said this with a deadpan expression. It looks like he was lying just to get power. I thought, 'Sasuke!!! What a lying piece of crap you are!! If you want to kill Naruto, Just do it. Why doing a fake confession? '.
It doesn't help as the fight progressed because Sasuke was really playing football with Naruto and when this happened,
Tumblr media
I was shell-shocked because, the Sasuke we saw so far is no more. It even confirmed my thoughts about the fake confession. Which sane person will ram Chidori through his Close Friend's body?.
After many blows were exchanged, I simply wished for one thing. Naruto should win and Sasuke should be stopped no matter what. When the final Rasengan vs Chidori happened, I couldn't understand what was going on inside that power ball. Naruto and Sasuke look at each other with pained expression and we see the younger version of them smiling at each other.
And then finally we see a knocked out Naruto with Sasuke standing and looking at him without any expression and was about to say, 'Naruto.... I' which was interrupted by rain and when Sasuke felt a stinging pain in his arms and falls down on his knees. He coughs up blood and then this iconic scene happens.
That scene conveyed many things
Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto but couldn't.
Sasuke meant what he said. Naruto is his closest friend, it’s not a lie.
Sasuke couldn't severe his ties completely with Naruto.
Sasuke's pain of saying 'Goodbye' is greater than the stinging pain in his arms.
Sasuke deliberately, I repeat deliberately and not accidentally, came close to look at Naruto's face and experiencing something that, we, audience don't know.
So, you see, Anon. The emotional train wreck that led to this scene made me really doubt about their depth of feelings they had towards each other for the first time. That's when I thought, 'Something seems to be very weird between these guys, what is it?'
And what are you favorite (SNS) moments?
There are two moments which shows how Sasuke is playing an emotional battle within himself.
1. Sasuke, Susanoo, Naruto, Minato
Tumblr media
This happens right after Sasuke said to Obito, “Not you.... The one who is going to sever the past is....me”.
In this moment, Sasuke can pretty much let Naruto to die, because nobody is trying to kill Naruto. Still, he saved him with a 3 layered protection. The best part is Sasuke acted quicker than Minato, the fastest shinobi, to protect Naruto. Surely Minato wouldn’t want to blow up near his Son, for whom he gave his life once. It’s just that Sasuke is extremely quicker at this moment.
2. For some reason, My Sharingan deactivated on it’s own
Tumblr media
If only, Sasuke maintained his Sharingan, he could’ve traced Naruto’s movements and deflected his upper cut and would’ve successfully landed his Chidori through him. But he just couldn’t.
Both these scenes happens in a span of a day but Sasuke’s emotions fluctuates a lot when it comes to killing Naruto, protecting Naruto, can’t kill Naruto.
How much do you think Sakura being a good character could affect the story?
To be Honest Anon, Storywise ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Yes, I agree with her amazing performance in Gaara retrieval Arc where she tagged along with Granny Chiyo and almost killed Sasori.
After that ????
She did nothing in the Sasuke Reunion Arc. It was all about Naruto vs Orochimaru, Yamato’s Wood style jutsu, Sai’s betrayal towards Orochimaru. Geez!!! I liked her attitude in this arc but totally spoiled when she was standing simply like a wooden doll when Sasuke was about to stab Naruto. It was Sai who blocked Sasuke.... I was like, ‘Girl!!!! You said you will save Sasuke for Naruto when he went into 4 tails mode. What happened now??? Why are you not stopping him???’
She was just making Food Pills in the Rasen Shuriken Arc.
She was basically climbing from one tree to another in the Sasuke killing Orochimaru to Sasuke joining Akatsuki Arc. Even Naruto’s role was very minimal in that arc except he met Kabuto, Dead soul of Jiraiya, Itachi, a split second meeting with Sasuke where he got Chidori’ed and fought with Tobi.
She was just a spectator praying for Naruto in the Pain Arc. Yeah, she did healed few people and punched some monsters. But it just doesn’t matter. Even Konohamaru killed a Pain in that arc.
She turned into an Asshole by making a fake confession towards Naruto and decided to kill Sasuke in the Kage Summit Arc. I think, this is where Kishi decided to shit on her mercilessly by making her into someone who was going to hurt both of her team mates mentally and physically. Basically Kishi transformed a clever medical Ninja who can find an antidote in a matter of hours to an asshole who believed Naruto did everything for her and even more of an idiot by planning to kill Sasuke with just a poisoned Kunai. Isn’t she the one who told Kakashi that Sasuke was given forbidden drugs to improve his strength after their Reunion??? Can’t she put 2+2 together to know Sasuke would be immune to poisons because of his days spent with Orochimaru??? Yeah, she did impacted the story. But it was not for her development. Sakura’s foolishness made Naruto and Sasuke to meet each other again and made a promise. So, you see, she was just a tool that pushes the narrative development of other characters, not her own. Her development took a big blow in this arc.
She was non-existent in the Naruto-Killer Bee Training Arc.
She was just healing people and punched some zetsu during Powerful Edo-Tensei Shinobis vs Allied Shinobi forces Arc. I expected her to have a special fight. But Nope. Even Ino, Shikamaru and Choji fought Asuma, Kakuzu and Kinkaku, Ginkaku brothers.
She was non-existent in the Uchiha Madara vs 5 Kages mini arc
She was non-existent in Obito vs Naruto, Kakashi, Might Guy and Killer Bee mini arc.
She was non-existent in the Sasuke & Itachi vs Kabuto mini arc.
She was non-existent in the Edo Tensei’ed Hokages and Team Sasuke arc.
She was punching some Juubi Clones in the Official War Arc which will never make a difference to the story. At the same time, her character was transformed from an Asshole who hurted her teammates to an horny biasshhhh who wants only Sasuke’s D. She summoned Katsuyu and was healing soldiers. But there were an army of Medical Ninjas too. So her absence will not affect the story in a big way. She did Lip to Lip CPR for Naruto though. Again, that would never help Naruto in a major way unless he was helped by Obito by placing Bijuu inside him. Again, Kishi didn’t make her the sole saviour here. Instead, she was used as a medium to facilitate Obito’s transformation from a bad guy to good guy. Kishi made Obito as the Saviour here.
She was useless and was not able to destroy Obito’s rinnegan in the Reincarnation of Indra and Ashura vs Rikkudou Sennin Madara arc.
She was useless in the Kaguya arc. [Sorry, that punch won’t make any difference because Kaguya must be stupid to not use her 360 degree vision to see Sakura from behind. With Naruto and Sasuke has already become a demi god at this point, her clown show is incomparable].
She was useless in the final Naruto vs Sasuke arc.
So, you tell me Anon. Did she make any impact to the story that served as a major twist??
The story revolved around Naruto and Sasuke.
Itachi, Obito, Jiraiya, Madara, Hashirama and other Hokages were the game changers of this story. Meaning, their presence or death will change the story by a huuuuggge margin.
Tsunade, Orochimaru, Team Nagato, Kabuto helped our protagonists in a BIGGGG WAAYYYY.
Akatsuki were just amazing who gave us the sense of thrill as well as fun.
Even Sakura being good will never impact the story because she had no dedicated arc written for her.
But, if she were written as a good character, my viewing experience would have improved in a relaxing way so much so that I don’t have to press my fast forward button whenever she appears and I wouldn’t be writing this post explaining why I hate her.
How would you improve Sakura?
Simple, By writing her similar to Rin Nohara.
No obsession but a simple love towards Sasuke.
No toxicity but caring friendship towards Naruto.
That’s all.
How do you feel about people changing certain aspects about Sakura to try to improve her character?
Well, that means they would qualify as a fanfiction writers, aren’t they??.
Also, this inherently proves that she is a piss poor character and people wants to change certain aspects of her which they find annoying. But it will 100% end up being OOC. And I’m not into reading those OOC stuffs, Anon.
I always believe in accepting what the author has given rather than trying to fix their work. Because the author writes a character deliberately to make the readers feel what he intended in the first place. Kishi could write a redemption for even someone like Orochimaru towards the very end. Like, he literally made him to help Sasuke, not as a human predator, but as a former Master and an admirer. He wrote him to help Tsunade and other Kages. So in the end, Orochimaru was not hated like he was hated in part 1. If he can write something for Orochimaru, why not for Sakura???
You know how I can redeem Sakura in just 3 or 4 panels?
Let me tell you.
After that fake confession, Sakura could talk to Naruto,
“I am very Sorry, Naruto. I know you will never take things in your heart. But still I shouldn’t have used Love as a tool to make you not to do something. I was an Idiot to not realize how badly you want to save Sasuke. It wasn’t just for me. But it was for Sasuke and also for you, as his friend and also for us as Team 7. So, how about we go to Ichiraku, for a nice lunch??”
While confessing Sasuke for the second time,
“It seems you still want to go on to that dark path, isn’t it?. I am not the most powerful ninja in this world and I know I can’t trade blows with you. But still.... if you try to hurt my friend, Naruto and my master, Tsunade. I will fight with all my strength to kill you..... Even though I love you”
I am pretty sure, if Sakura confessed something along these lines, everyone would have admired her and it shows her emotional maturity as a Kunoichi who wants to do something to this world as well as a person who is ready to kill someone she loved in order to protect the people she holds dear.
In chapter 699. Before saying Goodbye to Sasuke,
“I am very Sorry, Sasuke. I never really understood what was going on inside your heart. And, I always forced myself on you because of my selfishness. I really feel bad for those things. I never really became your friend in the first place. How about we say farewell as ‘a good friends’, before your redemption journey??” (Shakes hands.... End of Scene)
How is this???
Is it pleasant to read?? Of course, Yes.
I am pretty sure it wouldn’t take more than 4 or 5 panels. Kishi could’ve easily did something like this. Am pretty sure readers would’ve been satisfied. Her fans too. Even I would’ve forgiven her mistakes.
But Kishi didn’t and I am very sure it’s deliberate. Because, this very same Kishimoto could able to write Konan, Tsunade who acts with so much maturity without whining like a little girl.
Which shows Kishi clearly hates this character and never wanted to redeem her.
So no matter how many people improve this character, it will never be believable.
How do you feel about narusaku?
Naruto always placed Sasuke as his priority, Anon. That’s always the case. So, apart from SNS, if you want me to say whether NaruSaku had any potential?
I would say, yes, NaruSaku had potential. I will not deny it. Naruto had some liking towards Sakura compared to the absolute indifference towards Hinata.
There are some moments Sakura genuinely cried for Naruto without anyone’s influence. I liked it. Say, the scene where she cried on hearing ‘A Jinchuriki without Bijuu will die” and with Yamato she told, “I can only do little things for Naruto”.
These are all coming from her own heart. No one instilled inside her.
[[[ That’s why I will not accept her realization of ‘Annoying, huh? So, this is how Naruto must have felt too. Maybe I should be a little nicer to him next time’ as genuine in Episode 3. Because she realized only after Sasuke roasted her. I want feelings to emerge subconsciously rather than instilled by someone. ]]]
Unlike the asshole Sakura she was in part 1, Sakura started out good in Shippuden. I was surprised with her development in Gaara Retrieval Arc and was not at all annoyed by her presence. (Except when she said she will save Naruto and Sasuke from Itachi.... Grrrrr.... Biashhhhh.... Do you know Itachi’s abilities first of all??? He can crush you like a meatball with his Susanoo)
I started to feel, ‘Wooow!!! She has improved a lot. Great!!!!’.
Even though, she was useless in Rasen Shuriken Arc, She still made an effort to make food pills for Naruto. She even hugged Naruto much to his surprise, before all the villagers and especially before, ahemmm Hinata after defeating Pain.
Despite all of these moments that had happened between them, I could only see them as a pair formed of mutual tragedies rather than mutual attraction, Anon. In their case, Losing Sasuke. I wasn’t 100% sure whether Sakura moved on from Sasuke or not. Because When Sakura was looking for Sasuke with Kakashi’s Tracking dogs, she was still in love with him. So Sakura fluctuates between her obsession with Sasuke and some genuine feelings towards Naruto.
Kage summit Arc is where everything changed and finalized. Sakura was crying like an annoying shit when she heard that Sasuke joined Akatsuki and was wanted by Raikage. This clearly shows her obsession has flared up again and ‘Poof’ all the development she had with Naruto was thrown into drain.
On top of it, the fake confession. Grrrrrr.......
Plus, Naruto officially closed the possibilities of this ship by saying, “Sasuke, I know the Truth of Itachi from a guy named Tobi. I don’t know whether it’s true or not. But whatever you’ve been doing so far (hunting Killer Bee, ruckus in Kage summit conference, trying to kill Sakura, Kakashi).... It’s all understandable”.
If Naruto truly, wholeheartedly, deeply loved Sakura, he wouldn’t have said something like, ‘It’s understandable why you tried to kill Sakura”. He should have beaten Sasuke into a pulp. Or atleast shown some intense anger. Instead, Naruto was talking to Sasuke and making promise by saying ‘We will die together’. It’s like Sakura playing cupid for Sasuke and Naruto.
Naruto was okay with someone trying to kill Sakura whereas he was not okay with someone trying to kill Sasuke and even went to the extent of hyperventilating. This is why I feel any other ships are incomparable with SNS.
After that Sakura started to behave rabidly towards Sasuke in the War arc which I can’t help but feel disgusting. So, anything she did for Naruto in the War Arc was overshadowed by her crazy obsession towards Sasuke. That’s why her CPR doesn’t matter, Sakura healing Naruto doesn’t matter. [Naruto has his own regenerative abilities, so whatever she does will not matter much for him]
So, NaruSaku was closed officially by Naruto and Sakura. It couldn’t sail because of the presence of Sasuke.
At the end, I felt like Sakura used Naruto for getting her man back ready for romance rather than a killer mode Sasuke. I couldn’t feel the friendship they once had or any familiarity.
I just hate people who don’t value friendships, anon. Sakura was not even a good friend, first of all. Yeah she had her friendly moments here and there. But, at the end of the series, she was not. A war has just ended, many people lost their lives, her supposed ‘best friend’ Ino lost her father. Why can’t she help her out emotionally? Why can’t she do some fucking good stuffs for this Shinobi world like her other teammates?? Instead, what she did was ‘let’s go and persuade Sasuke-kun to lend me some D by going along with his journey. Because I am so horny’.
It not how you were in the beginning, It’s how you ended up being. She started this series as a worst friend and she ended up as a worst human being for me. How can I ship such a person with Naruto????

There was honestly a really easy fix for the whole Yuri and the Cult of the Starless Saint plotline that could have really elevated the story and improved the Darkling's characterization in the Nikolai duology.
Like, the idea of a group of cultists who are obsessed with the Darkling and think he's Ravka's saviour isn't inherently a bad idea. Considering the Darkling did more to secure the lives of the Grisha in this world than any other character pretty much guarantees the Grishaverse would have some kind of Darkling fan club, regardless of how unhinged his methods. Even without a giant group of real-world Darkling stans, it makes sense within the world of the story that there would be people who look up to him, are drawn to his strength, and long for a shepherd for a fantastic underclass. The plot also seems to have forgotten that when the Darkling basically started a civil war, there were a good majority of Grisha that sided with him---including Zoya and Genya. They only defect when he happens to kill people they love or (as in Genya's case as Nikolai aptly points out), the Darkling personally lashes out at them for betraying him.
So the problem isn't the existence of the fan club. The problem is with all the straw-manning.
Even all the scenes where Nikolai, Zoya, Genya, and Alina effectively work as the author's mouthpiece, it makes sense that they'd have beef with the Darkling and cringe at the idea of people idolizing the man who ruined their lives and killed the people they loved. All that is fine and completely expected.
What makes it stupid is how dumb Yuri is.
Yuri is a character that comes out of nowhere and doesn't seem to have much of a connection to the events of the plot in the original trilogy. His origin story for why he became a disciple of the Starless Saint is so stupid that even the Darkling thinks he's delusional.
Instead of Yuri, we needed a character that was more like Ivan in original trilogy:
"Did you know I had two brothers?...They weren’t born Grisha. They were soldiers, and they both died fighting the King’s wars. So did my father. So did my uncle....Yes, everyone is sorry. The King is sorry. The Queen is sorry. I’m sorry. But only the Darkling will do something about it.”
This short exchange he has with Alina is really all that's required for the reader to sympathize and understand why anyone would side the the Darkling. He isn't just causing chaos for the fun of it.
Instead, we have a literal strawman parody of an in-universe Darkling stan that really minimizes why the Darkling is such a great villain. He doesn't attract the local village idiot. He attracts the oppressed, the anti-establishmentarians, the weak looking for a hero and protector, and those who want to hope for a better Ravka.
What would have been extra devious is if the Darkling had used such a character to further his goals, make them feel important and valued.....and then basically lash out and leave them to the dogs when they showed the slightest bit of defiance. That's practically his M.O.
Instead, we ended up with a really weird and preachy diatribe about how the Darkling is pURe eViL and if you dare ever sympathize with his cause, you're just as stupid as Yuri.
THE WASTED POTENTIAL 🤦🏽‍♀️

Master Post of things I wanted to post while reading ACOSF- mostly humour/ crack lol (Spoilers... Duh...)
First, general opinion: I liked the book generally. I knew it would be very Feysand friendly and I was prepared for that. Not my first choice but I get it. I really had to take a few hours off with the whole hiking scene. That really fucked with me to see Cassian so pissed and militant despite already knowing where Nesta was coming from and how betrayed she felt (ESPECIALLY once I learned that he had guessed they were mates already). I know that self loathing was a major theme but I do think it was laid on a little too thick for too long. I also think there was so much Nessian interaction when things were angsty and then when they were happy I was just WAITING for that full chapter of soft happiness and I feel like a lot of that got lost to Nesta’s relationship with her sister. Above everything though I gotta say that it BREAKS MY HEART that Cassian never actUlly says I love you to Nesta at any point in the book. I know it’s meant to be that he’s always loved her and it’s his actions that show it etc etc but it’s still kind of a blow for him to never say it... never even outright think it in his own perspective (go back and look the closest he gets is saying he’s acting like a lovesick puppy. We only get to see Cassian loving Nesta from her perspective as she realizes it which I get and is beautiful but maybe ONE DECLERATION THANKS). Anyway, I am hoping that opportunity arises in future books. Although.... I don’t think I will read the future books. Maybe I will, but honestly this was just SO MUCH. Like... I think there was too much in the book. Each of these quests could have been its own book and I was happy to keep going because I’m obsessed with Nesta, but I just don’t think I’d be interested enough in the other characters to read something so convoluted again (like I’m sorry the blood rite started with basically 100 pages left that is WILD). It was also so clear that so much of this book was setup for future books and that’s fine but it was kinda messy just being honest. ANYWAY onto more specific thoughts/ jokes:
Chapter 2:
Cassian: I just hope that Nesta knows we are doing this for her benefit, because we care.
Feyre: I don’t care this shit ends now. I’m burning your apartment to the ground.
Also Cassian: *Let’s Nesta fall down a flight of stairs*; *calls Nesta pathetic every day*; *tells Nesta everyone hates her*; *walks around slamming doors all pissy as if he’s the one being held captive*
Chapter 11:
Nesta:Rhysand is an asshole
Me:
Tumblr media
Cassian: well everyone fucking hates you
Me:
Tumblr media
The way that Cassian thinks about Russet Potato is just straight up not healthy. Like I get looking up to a sibling or whatever but I’m starting to think that Rhys is Cassian’s one true love. Cassian being THAT blind to every one of Rhysand’s flaws is a character flaw of his own. Even Feyre isn’t THAT blind.
Chapter 11 Pt 2:
Nesta from day one: I’m not training in that camp. I hate that camp. I’m not training there. Fuck that camp
Cassian: this is because you hate me, isn’t it?
Me:
Tumblr media
Like I’m sorry did we really need Feyre to show up to help him crack that code???
Chapter 10 (and beyond):
My OTP? Nesta and the House of Wind.
It’s a solid enemies to lovers story (chapter 6 she says even the house hates her then later it’s her only friend and ally. Great love story.)
It reveals its heart to her before Cassian does
It knows what she needs
Gave her water on the steps instead of watching her fall down them
Pushes Nesta gently by keeping the fire so Cassian can see that she is afraid and haunted instead of empty and broken. Encourages her to go to dinner with people by barring the library but doesn’t FORCE her to go. The house does not judge her.
Spoils her and is silly with her while she has her sleepover.
Takes an active interest in something important to her and shares one of her hobbies
Side note- this book even has me pissed at the IC about how they treated a damn house!! Like how dare they say no one likes going there! How dare they be so rude to my new #1 favorite book character??? The house just wants to give you cake and books and run you a bath. Perfect partner IMO.
Chapter 17:
Me when Cassian does the bare fucking minimum and tells Rhys to calm the fuck down and stop threatening to kill Nesta:
Tumblr media
Chapter 21:
When Rhys said that Nesta always has a choice here I said, out loud, “that’s fucking rich rice ball”. My dog looked up. That’s all.
Chapter 21 (and beyond) pt 2:
Prythian: mating bonds are very rare
Archeron sisters: survey says that was a lie
Prythian: fae fertility is very difficult. Conceiving can take decades
Archeron sisters: survey says that too was a lie
Prythian: No High Fae can survive the birth of an Illyrian winged baby
Archeron sisters: once again, the survey is not on your side here
Chapter 42:
Rhys: this is a bad idea
Cassian: that should be written on the Night Court’s crest
Me, wine glass raised to mouth, scoff more bitter than necessary: yeah it Fucken should”
Chapter 42 pt 2:
Yknow I was genuinely shocked by one thing in ACOSF. I was shocked that Rhysand and I agree on something.
He absolutely fucking shouldn’t be High King.
The mere SUGGESTION that Nesta’s power and fight and trauma and depression and war and entire FUCKING STORY has all been so that Rice cake and French fry can be a high king and queen literally set my blood BOILING at exactly the point in the book that I was starting to VIBE
Side note- Can we please just Fucken stop with the stars blinking in and out of existence in Rhys’ eyes. Like calm down. Rice pilaf has purple night eyes we get it. Just like... simmer please.
Chapter 46:
I GET that it shouldn’t have come out like that and that Nesta’s reasons weren’t right, but get ABSOLUTELY FUCKED RHYSAND for thinking that it is your right to HIDE THE DANGERS OF LABOUR FROM A WOMAN WHO DOES NOT KNOW YOUR SPECIES!!! This had me truly wildin and I think it was a disservice to Feyre’s character too that she didnt lose it more.
Chapter 55 (and earlier):
Cassian: *bows to death as Nesta emerges from the black depths on a throne to rule her undead armies*
Cassian: *watches bleeding as Nesta plucks the harp and wields her Made sword of death to murder Lanthys and claim the ability to stop time itself*
Nesta: So, now I go after the crown
Cassian:
Tumblr media
Chapter 57 (and earlier):
Kelpie: You shall be my bride before you are my meal
Helion: *rides enchanted horse up to shoot his second shot with Nesta*
Lanthys: Tries to seduce Nesta into being his Queen even as he attempts to kill her
Eris: I’ll give you anything in exchange for Nesta as my bride
Cassian watching every male being in the universe trying to get with his mate:
Tumblr media
Chapter 60:
Emerie: we’re not entering the blood rite, are we?
Cassian: Only if you want to
Brialynn:
Tumblr media
Chapter 80:
Nesta: *Saves Cassian’s life in the war*
Rhys: I still hate you and will never forgive you for what you did in not hunting as a child.
Nesta: saves Feyre and Nyx
Rhys: I bow before no one and nothing but my crown and now I shall fall to my knees before you oh mighty saviour queen of all
Side note- can someone please compile a list of all the things that Nesta Archeron had done/retrieved/gone through for the Nigh Court because that shit is astronomical at this point and I really need everyone to start sipping their Respect Nesta Archeron Juice RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!
Anyway I’m emotionally wrecked but shoutout to anyone who made it this far into my ramblings!

angst corner recs
Hello hello everyone. Long time no see. Here are some fics that I love under the angst tag in my bookmarks that I'd probably (totally) die for. I tried to include mostly fics that I don’t hear people talking a lot about, but there are some big titles in here as well.
-
I'd Catch You by Caellie_E_and_Vaye_Rue_Y, G
...Five times Harry made a promise, and one time he had to fulfill it.
R/N: Royalty au! Friends to lovers! Angsty! Perfection. I got into some heeeavy royalty au obsession for like two days, and was blessed to discover this fic. Seriously, so good. Beware MCD.
Stone, Sky, and Sea by RurouniHime, M
...(In which the Wizarding Saviour wanders about Oop North, tries to escape his partner, and fails miserably.)
R/N: Um this specific writing style is literally everything I love and also everything I aspire to be. Plus, this fic is just... hard to explain but it's so.... nice. Nice writing, nice location. Heartbreaking, but also so sweet.
The Bucket List by GallaPlacidia, NR
Draco will die in six months if he can't get Harry Potter to fall in love with him. Since that's not going to happen, he might as well spend his last days working through his Bucket List....
R/N: I think everyone has read this by now. But if you haven't... seriously do. It's one of the Drarry Classics That Everyone Must Read.
I've Built My Dreams Around You by fwooshy, T
Harry loves Draco. But starting over is hard, even when you're in love.
R/N: Rip my heart out and bury it anyways.
the last time that you touched me by silvergalaxy, M
What do you do when your boyfriend refuses to admit that his snarky comments about your hair are just a cover up so that you don't find out how much he actually loves it?
Harry Potter has a plan.
It doesn't work out quite as hoped.
R/N: I have no idea how many times I've read this fic. Like so many. Sooo many.
Espresso Patronum by tasteofshapes, T
When Draco reappears five years after the war and opens a wildly popular coffee shop, Harry’s pretty sure that Draco’s Up to Something. He just has to prove it.
R/N: Coffeeshop plus enemies to friends to lovers plus potions plus pining and lots of feelings. I can tell you: you want to read it!
Quiet World by augustskies, G
The first time the silence is broken, it’s Harry, nudging Malfoy’s shoulder, pointing out a single firefly perched on the ledge between them.
“Look,” he whispers, forgetting about one hundred and sixty-seven words.
R/N: Such a beautiful fic in a unique world where people can only say a limited amount of words per day. Really puts how inexhaustible what we say is, and what things could be like if our mouths couldn't run on forever. I like how this fic puts it all together, and how it shows that there are things that can be shown without words and those things are equally as important as the things said in words.
if stars died of old age by LiviKate, NR
His mother had had six months after his father had died. But it was expected; they had prepared and were already rather distanced. Draco hadn’t been ready, and Merlin, he had been so in love. He knew he was counting down in weeks, not months.
R/N: Gives me you are the antidote for me vibes but a little bit shorter for all the darlings out there who need shorter fics.
Small Thing by tsauergrass, G
...Or more simply: Draco falling in love with Harry.
R/N: Okay god, but I love this fic. Literally any who knows me knows that I am head over heels for tsauergrass, and none of their works have ever let me down, and I must rec them and comment on them endlessly because I just... cannot imagine a world where my life didn't cross pass with theirs. And GOD WHAT A HORRIBLE THOUGHT (i can't imagine never reading anything of tsauergrass') JUST READ THIS PLS
Ship of Theseus by GallaPlacidia, T
When Harry gets amnesia and forgets he and Draco were ever married, he refuses treatment to remember.
R/N: One of my favorite fics ever, no exaggeration. Beautifully written, incredibly heartbreaking, and so tragically GOOD.
The Green Vial by eidheann, E
After months of seeing Harry Potter walk into his Apothecary disappointed and hopeless, Draco offers to carry the baby that Harry can't. Now he's just got to hide the fact that he's been half in love with Harry for years.
R/N: I know most people don’t really like mpreg, but I do so there. This is so sweet and precious with all the heartbreak and pining and trying for a baby and and and. 10/10 would read.
Silverpoint by tackytiger, E
...Or: How Harry Potter Fell In Love (and Realised that Draco Malfoy Loved Him Back).
R/N: Tacky is a beautiful writer, and this fic is perfectly heartbreaking so. Yeah.
Stop All the Clocks (This Is the Last Time I’m Leaving Without You) by firethesound, E
Living with Draco was difficult; living without him is unbearable. But if there’s one thing Harry learned from the war, it’s that even when one life ends, the rest of the world goes right on living.
R/N: There were tears rolling down my neck pretty much the whole time I was reading this. It’s another one of the Drarry Classics I think, but please do proceed with caution because it is quite a bit heavier than the other fics on this rec list. The portrayal of grief is incredibly vivid, and while that is a beautiful and special thing about this fic, it’s also very hard to read about. Really wonderful, but take water breaks in between and breathe a little.
Blackberry Jam by JulietsEmoPhase, E
10-year-old Harry and Draco are evacuated from London during the Blitz, and through a logistical error, end up sharing not only a home but a bed. Follow them as they grow up against the backdrop of the war, discovering who they really are and slowly falling in love.
WWII Muggle AU. Mild smut, warnings for some thoughts of self harm/suicide.
R/N: This was the first Drarry fic I read over like 7k and I remember thinking how freaking long it was when I read it for the first time (it’s about 36k). My oh my how the times have changed. And yet, this fic is still just as good as ever.
-
Aaaand that’s the end of the list for now. I hope someone finds something on this list that they enjoy, and please feel welcome to leave additional recs in the comments/reblogs.

I know next to nothing abt utena but I. I kinda am extremely curious abt the utena vs mcu comparative analysis? if you feel like sharing lmao absolutely no worries if not
I love all of you because I will post obviously bait and someone will always indulge me in asking about it. NO I don’t want to unprompted just start rambling about my opinions, YES I will share them though. I will make this as short as possible because I can talk about Utena all day. I will add a disclaimer that I don’t super like the MCU so I’m very sorry to any MCU fans, Winter Soldier was good. Slight, vague spoilers for Utena ahead.
TL;DR: MCU is constantly selling feminism in the form of palatable #bossbabes and Strong Female Characters, while Utena’s form of feminism is a more systematic and nuanced interview of how the patriarchy limits, exploits, and controls women. It posits that a woman CANNOT be a #bossbabe while she’s within that system, and only by leaving it can she find independence and identity. MCU is sponsored by the Air Force.
So for the uninitiated, Utena is a magical girl anime that I’ve been jokingly calling Evangelion: For Her. It deconstructs magical girl anime and fairy tales, and critically examines Japanese society, the patriarchy, heteronormative culture, and IN MY OPINION boarding schools. It deals with themes of trauma, toxic relationships, toxic masculinity, gender non-conformity, queerness, abuse, maturity, coming of age, gender roles, memory, and narrative.
I’ve joked recently that Tumblr would find Utena problematic if it actually talked about the show beyond the killer aesthetic and sword lesbians. Every female character in it is obsessed with men. Most of them are in abusive, or at least toxic, relationships. It has several gender nonconforming, queer women, who view gender nonconformity as adopting the role of a man in society and thereby idealizing/controlling/abusing women, as men do. Every character is a hugely complicated person who hurts others. Men control women and women are either subservient and controlled by men, or they use their position of assumed subservience to manipulate men, or they attempt to regain power by taking the role of men.
On the flip side. Utena demonstrates how every character is turned into this through the rigid and restrictive nature of (it’s Japanese, so Japanese, although it’s broadly applicable) society. Women who do not fit into these pre-set molds are punished and ostracized. Young boys are groomed by older men in order to fit these abusive molds, and otherwise well meaning men hurt women because they are not taught how to interact with women in healthy ways. The show is basically about how society takes the genuine need for love, intimacy, and human connection among children and beats them into societally accepted molds that keep power in the hands of powerful men. The patriarchy is ultimately a tool of powerful men that abuses and controls both men and women. Ever hear of no ethical consumption under capitalism? Try no ethical love under the patriarchy!
So, no, Utena doesn’t really have a lot of ‘strong female characters’. But that’s really kind of the point - how can a woman be strong in this system? When a woman tries to gain strength, does she just try to imitate masculine values that we’re brainwashed into perceiving as strength? Is masculinity healthy? Can Utena really be gnc, or will a gnc woman never be accepted as a man by a society that profits off the victimization of women?
I’m not asking the MCU to analyze all of this, because they’re blockbuster movies and I don’t want or need them to get #deep. However, superhero movies will never look at the systematic and societal structures that build heroes and villains so long as the nature of superheroes inherently hinges upon the ‘Great Man’ system (basically an obsession with heroes and salvation through singular men instead of communities and movements). The MCU Spider-Man movies were so frustrating about this: it goes through the effort of saying that capitalism and injustice created the Vulture, but all that does is make a sympathetic villain - it never goes so far as to say that Peter is being fed into this system (by Tony Stark) like meat into a meat grinder that continues to prioritize the special over the collective. I don’t even need to get into Far From Home. The MCU constantly acknowledges these injustices (the way it acknowledges that the Air Force in Captain Marvel is sexist and racist) but it twists around that acknowledgement into assertion that superheroes and good guys CAN exist in this unjust system, and that they can utilize the power of this unjust system in order to provide salvation. Utena has Japanese Buddhist roots over this Christian ideal of the saviour/messiah: it encourages saving ourselves, and says that we cannot be saved by others, only aided and guided in that journey.
Captain Marvel cannot be a ‘feminist’ film, no matter how much it celebrates Carol for embracing her individuality and autonomy in a discriminatory system, so long as Carol remains within that system. In contrast, the only way that Utena was able to live in gay happiness with Anthy was by rejecting the patriarchy, structure, and society completely. Carol is a shining, premier, ‘ideal’ example of a woman in the Air Force - tough and independent yet obedient and responsible to her system. Utena is also masc and gnc, but it actually explores how performing that masculinity isn’t a repudiation of the system, it’s just striving to attain status as the oppressor instead of the oppressed (absolutely crucial note that Utena doesn’t strive to be a man, she strives for masculinity). The #girlbosses in Black Panther are characterized by their complete and total loyalty and lack of ambition to authoritarian male figures and autocratic systems (Black Panther is really good and I like it a lot, this isn’t a criticism). Judi in Utena is also completely obedient and loyal to the male-dominated structure of the Student Council, but it’s shown as preventing her from accepting her lesbianism and pursing her desires. Black Widow, #girlboss extraordinaire, is devalued as a woman through her infertility and this is completely played straight and uncritically in a move that’s stunningly 1970s. Nanami in Utena (metaphorically) is confronted with her perceived lack of suitability for maternal life - and how the reason why she’s desperate for this is because it’s the promised unconditional love she never received. This isn’t even getting into the men - Tony Stark using tools of war to end war, which is an oxymoron. Peter Parker’s divorce from his working class roots into mindless imitation of authoritarian paternal figures and him literally being handed the cutsey drone strikes. Women in the MCU are ‘cool’, women in Utena are complex, flawed, and nuanced.
We know the MCU isn’t woke. I don’t want it to be woke. But it keeps on pretending to try and it’s frustrating me. It continually just gets enough there to make me think about it and give the shiny sheen of that feminism while refusing to engage meaningfully with what they’re doing. I’d rather they didn’t try at all, because they consistently raise the question (hey it’s fucked up that the working class is getting screwed over and the Vulture’s doing what he’s doing for a reason!) and then refuse to answer it authentically or genuinely (but he’s evil so we don’t gotta touch that). I’m not gonna use the word pandering, but...that #girlboss shot in Endgame, come on...
Utena meaningfully treats the women as women who Live In A Society, and how that fucks them up, and how the only way they can be free is if they realize there’s no wizard behind the curtain, recognize the injustices, and repudiate the game. MCU says that a woman can be liberated and strong if she achieves specialness and strength within the system - if she ‘wins’ the game. But women don’t win this game. That’s the point of the game. Because when women win, men perceive themselves as losing, and that’s unacceptable. Captain Marvel and the MCU is a consolation prize for what women are consistently denied: complex and flawed characterizations.
I’m normally uninterested by #feminism but Utena gets it. Thanks for the ask!

Ok I just gave up catching up on my dash full stop because Clementine and George and Wildest Dreams got my brain like this:
Tumblr media
I feel I desperately need to make an OC for George but he is YOUR precious lol
So instead while I'm here, give me and I mean GIVE all your George and Clementine headcanon
SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG I WAS FINISHING UP SOME GIFS ✨
First things first, that image lives in my mind rent free.
Second things second, please create an OC for George holy shit please yes?! George has already been romantically (or at least sexually, because Sable is a hoe) linked to Ellis Grant from @chlobenet (nothing ever came of it, George developed an infatuation and was perpetually rebuffed by our Lord and Saviour Miss Grant), @perfectlystiles' Laurel Chase, and @randomestfandoms-ocs' Reese Masrani. It is my goal to accumulate enough George Cassidy romantic interests that I can make a Wives of Henry the Eighth edit, so literally go nuts. Everyone, Create An OC To Thirst Over George Cassidy Challenge!
The best thing about George and the other Corpsemen is that the only thing that makes them Jurassic World OCs is that they happen to be hired there. It is by no means their entire story, and although they've been around for literally three days (?!) I keep thinking of more and more things about them and I keep building their backstories to the point where dinosaurs are literally the least craziest thing they've experienced.
If I were to sum up Clem and George's relationship in a gif, though:
Tumblr media
(This got hella out of hand so keep reading under the cut if you want to know more about George and Clementine.)
A brief history on George "Sable" Cassidy and Clementine "Calico" Roscoe:
He is known as "George" to his friends, and "Cassidy" to his enemies. "Sable" when he's on the job, and "hers" when they're alone.
But it wasn't always like that. I'm not going to bore you with the details about George's fatherless upbringing, or his reasons for joining the British military, or how he'd always been a bit of a troubled kid. Where his story really begins is when he directly disobeys orders and murders the military hostages who were responsible for the attack on his unit. He is dishonourably discharged, and is sent back to the U.K. to await trial for murder and treason.
He manages an escape and goes dark; during which time, Clementine Roscoe, an agent at Interpol, is assigned his case. Unfortunately, after a year of searching (one close call where he was literally within breathing distance of Roscoe ) and a thousand too many mistaken sightings after that, the case goes cold, and she is assigned another case, one which results in the death of her entire family.
Clementine resigns from her position after she is denied leave to pursue the murderers, and spends the next few years methodically hunting down and executing the list of people she knew to be responsible. It was enough to impress Malcolm Drake, who located and recruited her into the Corpse Corporals (aka Gucci Suicide Squad).
All this time, Cassidy had been residing in Southern Africa, making a hefty living as a poacher under ever-changing pseudonyms (I had to make y'all understand that Sable is a bad man but y'all be forgiving Tom for murder and incest so here we are but honestly did it even work because here I am, being fooled, alongside you 😭). He runs a pretty decent operation, also dabbling in the smuggling of weaponry, and he lives a comfortable life. That is, until he is betrayed by his business partners (a brother-sister duo, FCs Megan Fox and Aidan Turner? Idk, still debating) and pushed out of the business under threat of death.
He is rescued by Malcolm, who has managed to track him down, and in exchange for his life spared, he agrees to work for Malcolm. His reunion with Clem is incredibly tense, with both of them pulling their guns on each other and refusing to work together. Malcolm snaps some sense into them (that, and the sum of the payload which had so many 0's added to the end, you couldn't be sure what the number really was other than "a lot") and they swallow their pride and work together.
They would continue to work together as Calico and Sable for the years to come, and when I say it is a slow burn, I do mean THE SLOWEST OF THE SLOW. But there is definitely a fuck ton of sexual tension thrown in there for angst, and a couple of near brushes with death (hazard of the job, really).
George is a prolific man whore, and he's bisexual and proud. So Clem has gotten used to an endless slew of people of all genders cumming coming and going from his hotel room, especially during the long cons where the Corpsemen go deep undercover for months at a time (Hector doesn't come on those jobs, he's got a family to worry about. He taps out at a month, max, if he doesn't get to leave to see his family).
George Cassidy is not a man who is used to not getting what he wants, but Clementine Roscoe is the only exception to that rule. He has come to view her as "unobtainable," this irreverent forbidden thing that he must not ruin. By the time the heat of their mutual hate had dissipated, it had turned into a friendship, and although there was an undeniable electric tension between them, they have never done anything about it. But it has that "will definitely be the best sex of your life" kinda energy.
They fight quite a lot, and disagree on almost everything. Have they tried to kill each other? Oh, absolutely. But they're also professionals, and although Clementine and George may be going at it, it never bothers Malcolm, because he knows that Calico and Sable will put those differences aside and do the damn job.
Clem only involves herself in George's sex life when it comes to people who she considers friends. She has the warnings already mentally scripted, because the thing about George Cassidy is that he cares about no one but himself, and nothing but his holy trinity: blood, money, and sex. He's an emotionally devoid sociopath at the best of times, and at the worst, he's a well oiled and dangerous killing machine.
He is not a good man, Clementine knows, but sometimes, you don't want a good man.
I have a gifset in store involving the two of them, and I'm busy compiling a list of headcanons as we speak. If you want, I can tag you in it :)
But this is everything about their past and a bit of their present, so if you want to create an OC please do and tag me so I can write up a crossover and make some gifs 💕
(And before anyone comes for me, yes, I am aware of the fact that George "Sable" Cassidy is a very toxic and fucking despicable man, I created him, and I made him that way. I am not condoning his actions, nor would I want to be in a relationship with him in real life, but this is fiction. It is not meant to be taken seriously, if you don't like my hot mercenary boyfriend, then please unfollow me, because he is my current obsession, and I cannot promise that I will not be thirsting for him on my TL at any and all hours).

please do make a list of Korean Isekai you’ve read, I’ve been wanting to get into them more 👀
And the word has been spoken
I was going to use images for each but tumblr only allows 10 or them 😑. Imma list all isekais/re incarnation webtoons that I personally recomend, a note though that last night I actually opened just a few more tabs with new ones to read so I may give this list an update later lol.
.
Long list bellow!
Doctor Elise
Not exactly my best recomendation seeing I kind of dropped reading it but I still go back from time to time. Main character is currently on her 3rd re incarnation and set on being a surgeon and making use of all her knowledge on earth. It's actually really interesting! Reason I dropped is more related to the romance, but that is simply out of my own personal preference and I don't consider it bad at all.
.
The Justice of Villanous Woman
Also dropped but it was actually because I missed too many updates and now I need to re read it jajdjxkwhdjskaj, it's not a WOW story but it's good, specially since the main character is pretending to act like a villainess (two faced on purpose) against the ACTUAL villainess who was just pretending to be nice. It was a really good twist.
.
La Dolche Vita di Adelaide
This one is actually completed! And it's really good too!! The female lead is very assertive and the male lead is one or those that can be pretty shy lol. It's a really nice read.
.
Reminiscence Adonis
Badass female lead that I would gladly let step on me. It's really good but I also dropped due to missing too many updates lololol. The main character and the male lead basically flirt with each other all the time later in the story it's ridiculous l o l o l o l.
.
The Abandoned Empress
Though I dropped due to it not being my cup of tea it may just be yours since although not my preference I can't deny the story is actually good. Female lead was done so much wrong to her in the past and is trying to change her destiny even against God.
.
Survive as The Hero's Wife
One of my favorites big time!!! Female lead is amazing and male lead is so. damn. cute I can't even. Also ART????? It's so damn pretty. Female lead re incarnated inside a novel, she makes a REALLY good use of all her knowledge.
.
They Say I Was Born a King's Daughter
Not gonna lie this is just one I read to pass the time. Entertaining enough though the story itself is, ???????. It takes a while to get used to the art style. Though I only find it mildly interesting, it can be really good to someone else. And I really cannot say that this one is in any way bad because it absolutely isn't. Prepare for frustration directly related to strong mysoginy though.
.
The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up At The Duke's Mansion
Another one I dropped because I missed too many updates jshbdcjshejcksjenfoskjfjoa but it's really good and the main character basically takes to shit. Her main goal is scape death.
.
Miss Not-So Sidekick
This one is a very comedy centered one , I dropped due to the fact because updates are pretty damn slow I ended up loosing the track of the thing, what I am doing now is waiting for it to basically end so I can read it all in one sit. It's actually pretty good and the art style is very unique!
.
Suddenly Became a Princess One Day
ALL TIME FAVORITE OH MY GOD WITH EVERY UPDATE I LOSE ANOTHER YEAR OF MY LIFE SPAM. Just, just give it a go. The art is BEAUTIFUL, the characters extremelly well made, and the main character is just fucking great I love her.
.
I Was Born As The Demon Lord's Daughter
Another one I dropped due to slow updates that caused me to lose track;; But it's actually good! And the autor did the thing many don't do in these stories: have the main character actually be someone and give her a story that actually becomes reason of many of her actions and feelings in her current life. Also soft good Dad uvu.
.
The Emperor's Companion
This one was too frustrating so I ended up dropping but I can't deny it's good so I will recomend it. To wake up in a body of someone who was supposed to have a lot of responsability but has been in a coma basically all her life which resulted in her underlings going ape shit under corruption and now that she's awake she gotta fix it.
.
The Villainess Reverses The Hourglass
ANOTHER ALL TIME FAVORITE AND THE ART IS SO GOOD TOO. The main character is NOT pretending to be a villainess, she is straight up made of wrath and spite and is set on ruining those who ruined her first in her previous life.
.
The Duchess With an Empty Soul
So. Damn. Interesting!!!! The way the main character is portrayed wasn't something I have seen many do, and she's a badass!! Male lead is a good man uwu. Also it's one of those with 'marry me but don't expect love'.
.
A Stepmother's Marchen
One 👏 More 👏 Favorite 👏 the art is BEAUTIFUL, the characters are WELL MADE, and I just LOVE the interactions between them, be it from interactions I want to punch one of them in the face to interactions where I just am in love. Also OLD PEOPLE ARE DRAWN SO BEAUTIFULLY. The art in this one is just BEAUTIFUL and I really can't even-
.
Beware of The Brothers!
Same creator as Suddenly Became a Princess One Day, only this one is actually deal with a lot more, serious (?), subjects in which one(just a single one) of them was the reason I dropped. But in fact, said subject is currently being really well fucking written, so although not my cup of tea, it definetelly deserves a chance.
.
Beware of The Villainess!
I KNOW many of you know this one and I KNOW all of you also love the female lead, the blue werewolf, the *cough* lesbian *cough* heroine and the maid. I love them too. It's a REALLY good one and it also is one of my all time favorites. Be ready to want to kill some guys though lol.
.
Lucia
Just- just read it. It's GOOD. And recent updates just started going deeper. Please. It's good, I promise-
.
The Evil Lady Will Change
It's also pretty damn good and also has the thing with 'marry me but don't expect love'. Both female and male lead are actually pretty good guys but their reputation was twisted so now they are seen as villanious like in public eye.
.
Priscilla's Marriage Request
Powerful female lead that is set on avoiding the outcomes of her previous life. But of course, once one manages to change the course of the previous story a new one starts, and in that new one she won't have her previous knowledge for it. Also she has a crush on the male lead ever since her previous life l o l.
.
This is an Obvious Fraudulent Marriage
Female lead is quite oblivious and the male lead only becomes better with time. The female lead may throw a few tauntruns but they're never annoying. I really like this one.
.
I Became The Villain's Mother
Also dropped because of slow updates, to be reborn as the mother in a family of villains and trying to give them the love they lacked. Both father and son and little shits.
.
The Villain's Saviour
Though the fact that the female lead cries way too much is a bit annoying, the story is so damn interesting. Male lead is basically a literal psychopath. The drama is off the charts too, specially since this one also makes use of Soulmate Marks.
.
Beatrice
One more on the list of dropped because of slow updates so now I am waiting for it to basically end so I can read it all in one sit. The fact she is insekaid is only shown at chapter 4 nsksjxksnekxjasfo, it's a good one though.
.
IRIS - Lady With a Smarthphone
Although I wish they would have actually focused more on the fact that she has a phone and put it to more use, it's actually a really interesting story in which the female lead is aiming to destroy everything related to all the pain she faced in her past life, and she is being very through with it.
.
The Youngest Princess
Badass female lead re incarnated in the same world so it's not isekai but it's very much re incarnation. Family interactions are great in this one lolololol, female lead is really good as a character. I have re read this one quite a few times though it's still very much only on the beggining of the whole thing.
.
The Duchess' 50 Tea Recipes
Came for the isekai, stayed for the female lead's obsession with tea to the point you could make memes about it. Poor male lead losing his position to TEA. It's in all honestly one of my all time favorites and though it is very focused on tea, it's very entertaining as it deals with other subjects too. It's so amazing how some problems were actually solved with tea. Very recomended.
.
Chitra
When you are reborn in a world that of all game functions it has decided to be GATCHA. It's really damn good though and the art is hella great, extra plus for comedy material lololololol.
.
The Villainess Lives Twice
Female lead is very particular, she isn't nice but she isn't necessarily evil, her actions are pretty manipulative due to it being all she has ever known and she uses herself as a mere tool to have others achieve their goals, automatically achieving her own goals. I just find the way she works really interesting as she goes against those who ruined her in the past.
.
A Capable Maid
Not really isekai nor re incarnation but I felt the need to put it here due to the fact that not only it is great but also due to the fact that the female lead had visions of several times in history that has helped her in many tasks.
.
A Returner's Magic Should Be Special
Now I'm not sure if it's korean but I love it so it's here. This time we have a male main character, it's really damn good and I read it all first in one sit. Main character went back in time before apocalypse right after he just destroyed the cause of said apocalypse in the future. Now he is aiming to avoid the apocalyspe alltogether and make sure his loved ones stay alive and well this time around.
.
The Pet of The Villainess
This one is so damn interesting, seriously. It destroyed so many too often used tropes in these kinds of webtoons and its PERFECT. I seriously recomend it just from the fact it takes a completelly different approach to many now "cliches" in these kind of webtoons.
.
Please Throw Me Away
Another interesting one, male lead is a huge puppy in love with a distrustfull cat female lead. Her family is shit and I would pay to have them destroyed. Have I said the male lead is a huge fucking puppy.
.
Actually, I Was The Real One
When you are accused of being fake and sentenced to death only to be told by the fake herself that you were actually the real one all this time. Main characters has no socializing habilities and it's cute lol, she is doing her best. This time she is making sure to try to avoid the same ending, and searching to know why she was brought back in time.
.
I Became The Hero's Mom
This girl took stanning to the next level and decided that no, since now I have the chance I will make sure my favorite character grows up as a happy child being loved and smiling instead of suffering. Male lead is the dad and he is so fucking great.
.
A Young Lady is a Royal Chef
This one is pretty centered in food as the title says, it's pretty new so the story hasn't gotten a chance to fully develop just yet but it's still interesting enough to keep me hooked.
.
When The Villainess Loves
B O I, I DIDN'T EXPECT TO LOVE IT BUT I DID AND HAVE RE READ IT MANY TIMES AND I NEED MORE UPDATES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Anyways this can actually manage to hurt your feelings with "fake angst" and I give kudos to that lolololol. The male characters are killing me seriously, they're too cute, then too hot, then too cute, THEN TOO HOT, BUT THEN S O C U T E-
.
I've Become The Villanious Empress of a Novel
Also one fairly new to the point the story hasn't fully developed yet, I really like it solely for the fact the female lead is now on the road to fix the bullshit around her. She's also a badass I would gladly let step on me.
.
Shadow Queen
A big FUCK YEAH to this one because the main character deserves it. After dying to a very thought out plan and even having her son killed, she is now planning on turning the tables and ruining the ones making the plan from inside. She is amazing and I love her pls read.
.
The Lady and The Beast
Honestly this one is both comedy gold and angsty at the same time the mix of feelings makes me go jshejdhsowjebfoshexiwnnfso, it's so hella great though, it's also basically new but it has developed it's story quite a bit.
.
This Girl is a Little Wild
And to finish this list on a gold but sad key, this one is also one of my all time favorite, the female and male lead are adorable and ridiculous together and I love them, the main character is so likeable and the plot has so many puzzles but, rumor says the original creator has dropped this, thought it is sad I hope said creator is okay, even incompleted it's still a really damn good read.
